American Supermodel, Naomi Campbell has reacted to the news of the newly released over 300 schoolboys kidnapped from Katsina school.
This comes after the Secretary to the Katsina State Government, Mustapha Inuwa announced that about 340 of the abducted students of the Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, have been released.
The boys were abducted from their school on Friday, December 11, by bandits. Boko Haram later claimed responsibility for their abduction.
They were released on Thursday, Dec 17, and Naomi, who visited Nigeria last week, took to Instagram to react.
She shared a screenshot of news of their release and wrote: “THANK YOU GOD NOW BRING BACK THE GIRLS.”
The girls she’s referring to are the Chibok and Dapchi schoolgirls taken from their school in the same way by bandits. Though some have been released, not all have been reunited with their families.

Governor of Katsina State, Aminu Bello Masari has announced the release of Kankara school boys of Government Science Secondary School, kidnapped last Friday.
The Governor also disclosed that the boys were at Tsafe in Zamfara State and would be transported to Kankara on Friday to reunite with their method.
The Special Adviser to the Katsina Governor on Security, Ibrahim Katsina, also confirmed the release of the students said:
“Alhamdulillah. The boys have been rescued and are now at Tsafe, Zamfara State. But, we shall be moving them to Kankara tomorrow (Friday),” Kastina said.
Shortly after their release was reported, President Muhammadu Buhari also described the release of the schoolboys as a big relief to their families, the entire country and the international community.
He shared in an update,

According To Naijaloaded, On 3rd December it is reported that Woodberry’s prison cell was searched after intelligence suggested that Woodberry was still conducting criminal activities behind bars.
Woodberry was in possession of a Samsung Galaxy S6 mini smartphone and was found to be communicating with co-conspirators in Dubai, South Africa, Turkey and Nigeria.
Forensic analysis of the seized phone shows Woodberry was orchestrating new financial attacks against US businesses and individuals to help fund his lawyer fees associated with his case.
From chat transcripts Woodberry can be seen demanding payment from conspirators in Turkey who owe him $820,000 from his share in a $2.1 million BEC fraud that is supposed to have taken place in February of this year.
Also, instructions from Woodberry were recovered showing him requesting accomplices to launder Bitcoin accounts from ‘www.walletgrab.to’ Further analysis of the Russian linked website showed hacked Bitcoin accounts of unsuspecting people in Canada and USA.
Bitcoin accounts on the website have balances ranging from $200 – $45,000 and had all the necessary security information to make a successful withdrawal. Officials were able to trace $314,800 accumulated from these hacked Bitcoin wallets directly to Woodberry.
A motion is likely to be put forward to open new criminal charges against Woodberry and with mobile forensic investigations still ongoing, it is possible additional criminal activities will be uncovered also.
An attempt was made to contact Woodberry’s lawyer Micheal B. Nash for comment but have since not received a response.
A Nigerian lady identified as Tiwalola, took to Twitter to narrate how she was asked to cut her eye-lashes before her Nigerian passport could be renewed.
In recent times, many Nigerians have taken to social media to complain about their experiences at various passport offices across the country, and Tiwalola has now joined the growing list.
According to her, despite spending 5 hours of her time at the passport office, trying to get her NIN so as to renew her Nigerian passport, she was sent back home as the staff said they can’t capture her picture cause her lashes weren’t real.
The unnamed staff also suggested that they use a scissors to cut off the lashes so as to allow her capture her picture.

“When we found Saviour he was in serious pain. I was not even sure if he would survive. When I made the update on the day of his rescue I wrote “his condition is critical” and that was because what we worried later turned out to be the case.
Saviour was tested positive for HIV and when infected, most children in Africa die within one year because of the lack of treatment.
Nine out of 10 children aged 0-19 years living with HIV are in Africa and one of the best ways to fight stigma and empower HIV-positive people is by SPEAKING OUT openly and honestly.
For many years we have educated our children about AIDS and they know that HIV does not make people dangerous and together with our staff they are at the forefront in school to enlighten their fellow students not to discriminate people who are HIV-positive.

A 21-year-old student nurse, Mapalo Masiku, was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend after she broke with him.
Masiku had broken up with her boyfriend, Kaluwayo Mwika, to start a new relationship, but the boyfriend who was still in love with her, couldn’t come to terms with the end of their relationship.
It was learnt that after the break up, Mwika lured Masiku to a nearby bush where he strangled her to death, and also committed suicide by hanging.
The Central Province Commissioner of Police, Chola Katanga, who confirmed the incident, said Masiku was a second year student at Chitambo College of Nursing and of House Number 351, Mikomfwa Township in Luanshya, Copperbelt Province.
Mr Katanga stated that the incident happened on Sunday, December 13th, within the nearby bush of Chitambo College of Nursing, and Kaluwayo allegedly hanged himself at Chito Area, about 18km from the crime scene.
Police spokesperson, Esther Katongo said initial investigations indicated that the victim had a misunderstanding with her boyfriend who had just completed school at the same College.
Katongo said the suspect is believed to have called a friend to the victim to give direction to where the body was.
In her words,
“The body was found with injuries and was been picked and taken to Chitambo District Hospital mortuary and today. Police received information that the suspect has committed suicide.”
Meanwhile, the Commissioner revealed the police looking into a recorded call that the deceased boyfriend had with one of his friends, where he confessed to have killed his girlfriend.
Exacts from the recording reads,
“I told her that let’s go somewhere and talk,we then went somewhere near the bush…We then talked about our relationship. She couldn’t cooperate.She told me that she has found a new guy called Patrick. She then told me that she no longer loves me, but she is ready to give me a child. “Later the argument continued again because I was hurt, for her to leave me!. That’s how I strangled her neck, till she died. I then hit her with a piece of tree on the head. I don’t believe that she is still alive, if she is alive, then she must thank her God. I hope they will find her body. This is my last call, I hope that you will find my body, my phone is on, and the people who will pick my corpse will communicate. I’m using a small phone, no password…I’m gone!.”
Meanwhile, an honest elderly Nigerian citizen has been praised online for his virtuous behaviour after he returned the money he found in the restroom of a Lagos airport.
The man handed the money to a janitor who works at the airport before leaving the facility.

Singers, Omah Lay and Tems have finally returned home after they were arrested in Uganda for violating the country’s COVID-19 guidelines.
Their arrival to Nigeria was announced by the chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, via a Twitter post.
According to her, the artistes landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos from Uganda via Ethiopia Airline at about 12:35 pm local time.

The manager of a popular restaurant in Lagos was allegedly slapped and arrested for insisting the owners girlfriend and her friends pay for their food.
According to the Twitter user, @SayoIroko who shared the story on the platform, that was not the first time the owner’s girlfriend would walk into the restaurant, eat and not pay.
Then she started coming with her friends to eat for free and the restaurant manager had a problem with this.
Recently, the said girlfriend visited the restaurant again, in company of her friends. They ate and as usual was ready to leave without paying, but the manager walked up to them and insisted they paid for their food.
The lady got offended and allegedly slapped the manager. This led to chaos as the manager locked the doors and refused to let the women leave.
When the owner of the restaurant got to the scene, he scolded his girlfriend and pleaded with his manager.
However, the following day, one of the girls returned with police to arrest the manager, claiming he pushed and “kidnapped” her.
The manager was released on bail and is now threatening to arrest his boss’ girlfriend.

The comedian/actor recently refuted claims of being homosexual, following gay accusations against him on social media.

A Nigerian lady has captured the hearts of social media users after she gifted her father with a bundle of N1,000 notes for Christmas.
The lady was extremely excited and proud to finally present her father with the cash gift, which was neatly wrapped in an envelope labelled “Merry Christmas, Dad”.
She shared a photo of herself holding the envelope and captioned it,
“This may sound funny to y’all Buh this is my first ever Christmas present to my dad and I’m so proud”
In the heartwarming video serving rounds online, the lady is seen kneeling down while her father laid his hands and showered prayers on her in their local dialect.
The proud father held the money in one hand and used his other hand to make declarations over his daughter.
A 24-year-old Woman, Rain Gordon who claims she’s romantically attracted to objects, has married her briefcase, after dating for five years.
According to Rain, the attraction to objects, started off as mere captivation by objects, and eventually grew into a romantic and sexual attraction.
Rain revealed she got married to the briefcase, who she named Gideon, in a ceremony in June this year.
She noted that although she has had relationships with men in the past, she was always more attracted to objects than to people, and she was always happier in her relationships with objects.
Speaking how she met her “briefcase” lover, she stated that she first met her “future husband” back in August 2015 after purchasing him at a hardware store as a prop for a photoshoot, noting that her relationship with the briefcase became official a few months later in November 2015 and they finally tied the knot in June this year.
She said,
“My fascination with objects began at the age of eight, from my childhood I believed that a soul is embedded in objects, as well as everything around us. I believe in animism, which means that there is life in everything.
“During my childhood and early teenage years, I fell in love with places such as the new shopping center that opened in my city. I knew that it was wrong, and beyond the norms of society. I didn’t tell anyone.”
“I had no idea that we would end up together. I admired how he looked, but I didn’t think anything more.
“But then I started liking Gideon for more than that. I slowly realized I was starting to fall in love.
“I’d want to look at him for hours and feel his presence. After another few months in November the relationship began.
“We shared our first hug and kiss, and we spent more time together in the evenings and nights. We could have philosophical conversations for three or four hours.
“Our spiritual connection and communication is shown telepathically. I hear him, and he hears me, but from the outside it looks like a monologue.
“Gideon is more than just a partner to me. He is a husband, a friend and a mentor.
“His moral support helps me more than anyone else. Sometimes I feel like Gideon knows me better than I do. I am not a strict objectum sexual, and I am not against relationships with people.
“But I have never found myself with a person who could overshadow my attraction and fill my heart in the same way as I feel with Gideon.
“I was with a man in 2017 and the relationship lasted two years, but it did not end well. He discovered my addiction to objects and this was one of the reasons why we broke up.
“I couldn’t connect with him. When faced with a choice between him and Gideon, I chose Gideon without any hesitation.
“I always have and always will choose him. For me, objects – although I don’t really like using that word – really are better than people.”
She noted that she initially kept her relationship with her briefcase away from everyone, but eventually told some of her friends and her brother, who she says have all been very understanding.
Rain and Gideon have special wedding rings with individual engravings on them.
While Rain recognized that the marriage is unofficial and not legalised, she said she is the happiest she has ever been.
