Award winning Nigerian musician, Davido has opened up on the challenges he faced after making his relationship with his fiancée, Chioma public.
According to the father of three, bringing his relationship with Chioma to the limelight had an adverse effect on their affair, as everyone was in their business.
He further revealed that at some point, after his relationship became public through one of his music videos, ‘Assurance’, he was pressured to officially do the wedding.
Davido who made this revelations in a recent interview with Ndani Tv said,
“After the Assurance video, Chioma received hate messages from people. Her parents even got hateful messages.
“It affected our relationship too. Chioma went from being a private person. It affected our relationship a lot then I realized people don’t like something good.
“We started having issues at some point and we decided not to tell anyone anything about us, that’s was when I decided to go offline for a while
“Before Assurance video, our relationship was so good. The dynamics between us changed after our relationship became Public. It was like everybody’s relationship and business.
“I felt pressured at some point to officially do the wedding but now I don’t. At the end of the day it’s between both of us and our families.”
When asked if they would still get married, Davido affirmed that but said it’s not the right time.
According to him,
“We would get married but not now. We are trying to make the foundation solid and I’m so happy now that Chioma is focused on making money.

One of the six protesters, Caleb Ossai, has narrated how a boat operator came to their rescue and evacuated them to the Ikorodu area on the water.
It has been claimed that some #EndSARS protesters jumped into the river when the shooting started at Lekki toll gate.
At least six EndSARS protesters jumped into the river around the Lekki Tollgate in Lagos State on the evening of October 20, 2020, while the Nigerian Army deployed soldiers to fire bullets at peaceful protesters, SahahaReporters reports.
One of the six protesters, Caleb Ossai, told SaharaReporters that a boat operator came to their rescue and evacuated them to the Ikorodu area on the water.
He narrated that he was told a few persons, who were out of help, might have drowned.
Ossai said he was initially declared missing by his family members for close to a week before they traced him to the residence of a Good Samaritan in the Ikorodu area, where he was recuperating from the injuries he sustained during the ordeal.
The boat, which took the fleeing protesters from the Lekki Tollgate area to Ikorodu, almost capsized, according to the man who rescued Ossai, after he became unconscious during the incident.
In an interview with SaharaReporters, the 27-year-old said, “Trouble started when the soldiers arrived and started shooting, and some fell with injuries. People started running. Near the Lekki River where I was, some people also tried to escape from the bullets, and they began to push one another until some of us fell into the river. I could not swim, but I wore a white shirt. I was lucky to be visible, and the next time I woke up, I found myself in a house in the Ikorodu area.
“I could not find my phone or did not remember any contact of family members I could call. It took a week for my family members to be able to locate me. Many people jumped into that river. I am not sure everyone made it out alive. The man who hosted me in his house told me that the boat was filled and almost capsized as they journeyed to Ikorodu.”
It will be recalled that the peaceful EndSARS protest in the Lekki Tollgate area turned into a blood field on the evening of October 20 and around 6.50 pm, when soldiers from the 65 Battalion, Nigerian Army, Bonny Camp, Victoria Island, opened fire on the protesters. The military men killed and injured several demonstrators.
A certain Lieutenant Colonel Bello, who was the Commanding Officer of the battalion, had led the soldiers to fire bullets at the scene.
While addressing the Lagos Panel of Inquiry, Bello claimed that he only fired blank ammunition into the air.
According to witnesses, while people were rushed to hospital after bleeding from serious bullet injuries, complaints about missing persons increased from friends and family members of youths who were suspected of having attended the Lekki Tollgate protest.
Ossai was one of such requests.
A day after the shootings, the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, had initially denied any loss of life by gunfire or that he was aware of the deployment of soldiers.
Later, he admitted that two persons were killed in the incident, while the army said in a terse statement that the state government requested for a military clampdown on the protesters to enforce its earlier-than-scheduled curfew.
According to accounts of protesters, the deceased persons included two males; Folorunsho Olabisi and Anthony Okechukwu. His relatives have found Olabisi’s body at the mortuary of St. Nicholas Hospital, Lagos, with three bullet injuries.
An acclaimed pastor was stripped and paraded by villagers in Umunze, Anambra, after he was caught with what appears to be fetish items.
The pastor, Bishop Elijah Chukwuebuka, who is the founder of God Of Light Anointing Minsitry, was nabbed with charms and female underwear in his church in Nsogwu, Umunze, at around 5pm on Wednesday, November 11.
Youths stormed the church with the aim of burning the pastor popularly known as Big Daddy but he was rescued and taken to the Igwe’s palace in Umunze.

Estranged wife of the Alaafin of Oyo, Queen Aanu has cried out that her life is in danger and currently being threatened after she decided to end her marriage with the monarch.

DMW record label executive, Davido recently sat with media personality, Bolanle and had a conversation during her “The Juice” session where he spoke about a lot of things including his relationship with his counterpart, Wizkid.
Bolanle had asked the singer what lead him to promoting Wizkid’s latest album during the time he released and he said, there wasn’t really anything to it, as he just posted it.

Her cousin, Erinyana Monday, took to her facebook page to share the good news on Sunday, November 8 and described the feeling as one she will live to remember.

Nigerian football club, Kano Pillars have signed a young American-born football player, Neuer Abraham, to their under-15 academy ahead of the start of the 2020/2021 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.
According to reports, the young lad whose parents recently relocated to Nigeria was presented to Kano Pillars by his father after both parties reportedly reached an agreement.

A man identified as Onukwubiri Ifeanyi Kingsley has shared a golden advice for broke people (not gender specific) seeking a partner.
According to him, a broke person should stay away from a serious relationship until he is relatively stable financially.
He pointed out that Love is about giving not taking, so if you are in a relationship, you must be willing to give something. So if you don’t have money to give your partner, the opportunity cost will be your time.
Ifeanyi’s statement is founded on the basis that if you are consistently giving your time to your partner, you won’t have time to hustle for money, so you will consequently end up poor.
He wrote,
“If u are very broke, comot hand for anytin way concern serious relationship until u are fianancial stable small. Love is about giving not taking. So when u no get money, na ur time u go give & giving ur time will make u more broke, cos no time to find money & u end up poor. Na Advice”
Nigerian music sensation, Davido has dubbed himself as the biggest artiste in the country “in terms of everything” there is to be one.
The singer, who’s set to release his 4th Studio Album come Friday, November 13th 2020 sat in a chat with media personality, Bolanle where he tended to questions about himself and his music.
In course of their conversation, Bolanle asked the singer who he thinks is the biggest artiste in the Nigerian music industry and the singer responded saying he is the biggest artiste in the country.
He was then asked by Bolanle, in what terms he thinks there are that makes him the biggest artiste in the country and he responded saying “everything”.

Prominent Nigerian rapper, Olamide was poised with a task by one of his followers to be the one who joins his colleagues, music rivals, Davido and Wizkid in a music track as they have never had a collaborative track before.
A fan of the rapper, after seeing the track listing to singer, Davido’s 4th studio album, set to be released on Friday, 13th November, 2020, shared that he though Olamide will be featured in the album too.
Responding to his tweet, the rapper then assured the follower that there is soon to be a track featuring himself and the DMW executive.
Upon seeing his tweet, another follower of his then asked if he could be the bridge to putting Davido and his counterpart, Wizkid on a song together.
Olamide, reacting to this, then said both artistes “have choko in their head” somewhat ruling out the possibility of that happening but said both of them are actually amazing beings.
Nigerian gay activist, Bisi Alimi, has stated that he strongly believes that with time, Nigeria will be a safe place for LGBTQ people.
In Nigeria LGBT people are criminalised under both the Criminal Code Act and the Same Sex Marriage (Prohibition) Act 2013
During a question and answer section on his Instagram page, Bisi Alimi was asked by a fan if he felt Nigeria would be to a safe place for the LGBTQ community in the nearest future.
The Nigerian gay rights activist who got married to Anthony Davies on the 5th of November, 2016, in London, replied by stating that he believes that would happen, as Nigerians have the ability to be kind, loving and accepting.
He wrote;
“Yes I strongly believe that. I strongly believe that like every other humans and nations, Nigerians and Nigeria have the ability, the tendency and the emotions to be kind, loving, welcoming and accepting. But it won’t happen over night, we will to all come together and see the intersectionality in our reality.”
Recall that recently the Bisi Alimi and his hubby celebrated their 4th wedding anniversary, on the 5th of November.
Taking to his verified Twitter page, the popular gay activist wrote;
Just want to say that my husband and I have been married for 4yrs today.
Same gender love is real. Same gender marriage is valid. Love is beautiful.
Nigerians have been calling for a collaboration and Olamide has also joined the call.
