Sunday Effiong a suspected hoodlum, alleged to be one the thugs who hijacked the EndSARS protest in Edo and was involved in the looting of a police station in the state has been arrested.
Effiong who was paraded by the Edo state police command on Monday, November 23rd, was identified in a viral video that captured him leaving the Oba Market police station with an AK-47 rifle after he and other hoodlums had raided the police station on October 19th.
According to the police, the suspect formed a robbery gang that has been terrorizing Benin and it’s environs until his arrest.

Recall that in October, the call against police brutality which started off as a peaceful protest was hijacked by hoodlums and caused chaos in different parts of the country.
The hoodlums were involved in razing down shops, private and government owned establishment, looting of warehouses amongst other vices

Rita Daniels, mother of leading Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, has been lambasted on social media for sharing a photo of herself wearing bum short.

Seventeen year old Chisom Chukwuneke, who made straights A’s in the 2019 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), has lost her life.
It was learnt that Chisom got 7 A1s, and emerged the best student from her school, Graceland college in Enugu last year.
According to a Facebook user, Michael Okoli who shared that sad news on the platform, Chisom died following a sickness which started off as a leg pain, but became severe over the year.
He wrote,
“The Parents of Chisom Chukwuneke, the best student from her school with 7 A1 in WAEC exams last year are deep in mourning.
The parents lost their daughter who scored 7 A1 in her WEAC Examination last year. The young girl whose name is Chisom Chukwuneke, was the best graduating student in her school last year. She won many awards in her school, and now death has caught short the life of this Young girl.
“The father of the Girl who is a Professor, shared a very touching story of how his daughter died. He shared the story on his Facebook account. According to what he posted, the young girl started complaining of having a pain in the leg. And just like every father that desires the best for their child, he decided to fly her to South Africa because he didn’t have trust in the medical system of this country.
“At first, they were happy with her recovery rate, but they never knew it was going to end like this. They started treatment there in South Africa, and they were fighting the sickness that started as a leg pain, and later grew into something else for over a year. He even talked about the gift his daughter promised him before his birthday, he didn’t know that the gift will be her death.
Despite new evidence submitted against embattled Nigerian socialite, Hushpuppi in California, his Lawyer Gal Pissetzky has disclosed that his client is not guilty of fraud allegations levelled against him.
Pissetzky who disclosed this in an interview with Forbes, stated that Hushpuppi is a business man who operates legal and registered businesses.

An alleged staff of Wazobia FM, identified as Hillary Okechukwu, reportedly committed suicide after being sacked from work.
According to report, the deceased was a sales executive with the Lagos-based broadcaster until November 18th, when he was asked to resign after being accused of misappropriating company funds.

Reality TV star, Uti Nwachukwu has aired his opinion about the spiritual gift of speaking in tongues in the Christendom.
He lamented about the ubiquitious nature of the gift and how it has been greatly abused in the Christian community saying, it is very easy to fake.
Speaking in a series of Tweets, the 38-year-old actor questioned why vast majority of Christians speak in tongues, but the complementary gift of interpretation of tongues is almost non-existent.
He went on to advise people to desist from saying Amen to prophecies and declarations spoken in tongues because they don’t understand the language.

Actress Lilian Afegbao’s mother, Mrs. Carol Afegbai, has been summoned by the Edo State Judicial Panel of Inquiry over the shooting of a University of Benin student, Ibrahim Momodu, by the police on May 27, 2013 in Benin City.
According to Vanguard News, the family of the deceased is presently demanding a compensation of N50 million, arrest and prosecution of all police officers who were on duty and present during the shooting for complicity in the murder among others.
In a petition by the family lawyer, Mr. Jefferson Uwoghiren dated October 27, 2020, he said that the deceased was allegedly killed by Corporal Amadin Idahosa, on the order of Mrs. Afegbai who was the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) at Ogida Police Station.
Uwoghiren said on the fateful day, Momodu was shot on the order of the DPO without provocation, illegally for being an armed robber and was subsequently buried in a shallow grave in a desperate attempt at covering up the deed in a public cemetery in Benin.

Nigeria’s Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, has said Nigerians should be proud that the Federal government is importing refined petrol from neighboring Niger Republic.
Recall the Federal government through the Ministry of Petroleum Resources recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the government of Niger Republic for the importation of petroleum products and it angered many Nigerians, who described it as an act of retrogression for the country.
IN a response to the criticism, Timpre in an interview with Channels TV on Monday, November 23, said there is nothing to be embarrassed at all.

In the spirit of regional cooperation, regional trade development, we decided to buy from them. I don’t see anything wrong with that. If your neighbour is producing something that is required in your country and you buy from him, why is that a big problem?
So, we agreed with Niger to buy the excess of what they don’t require in Niger because this is a big market. Nigerians should be proud that we are doing that to encourage sub-regional trade because we have been talking about sub-regional trade for a long time and this is how it should be between neighbouring countries.
Niger should import from us what they have and we should be able to import from Niger what they have. Let us encourage intra-regional”

The Music Icon’s late mum, Veronica Adeleke, would have turned a year older today, November 23rd. However, her demise did not stop her son from celebrating her, as he took to his official Instagram to share a throwback photo of himself and his mum.
The father of three showered praises on his late mother and noted that he loves and misses her.

Popular Nigerian comic act, Ayobami Ajewole, better known as Woli Agba, has gifted three of his crew members brand new cars.
According to one of the crew members, Dele Omo Woli who shared the good news on his Instagram page, Woli Agba presented him a car, alongside two other members of his team.
The Crew members that benefitted from Woli Agba’s benevolent act includes his manager, one Pastor Ojo and Dele who mostly performs with him.

Mrs Veronica Adeleke was said to be a lecturer at Babcock University in Osun State, and a owner of a record label as she was so much into music as well. She was born in 1963 and died at the age of 39 years.
In the 90s, she had a brilliant music career and was the owner of a record label. She was also part of a band named “David’s Band.”
This was not the only thing she named after her son. She also had a security company, which was called “David’s security”.
The affable lady was very bright, intelligent and loved by all the lecturers and students.
Infamous Cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Anu Adepoju has been suspended from the medical profession in Nigeria following multiple cases of botched surgeries at her clinic, Med Contour.
A number of women who went to Med Contour for cosmetic surgery complained about having complications that they still suffer from and it was reported that one particular patient eventually died after being operated upon by Dr Anu.
Earlier this year, LUTH petitioned the medical panel following the death of the victim of Dr Anu’s procedure who died after being transferred to its hospital.

Dr Anu was dragged to court in July 2020 when the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, FCCPC, arraigned her before Justice Mohammed Liman of the Federal High Court, Lagos, over her services which allegedly resulted in the death of Nneka.
She has now been suspended from the medical profession in Nigeria and, according to popular medical doctor, Dr Olufunmilayo.
Olufumilayo wrote on Twitter ;
“Dr. Anu of Med Contour has now been suspended from the medical profession in Nigeria. Remember her viral story was all over social media when Omohtee said she ruined her buttocks. Dr Anu was alleged of also killing a beauty queen in 2018 who she did surgery on.
“Dr. Anuoluwapo Olufunmi Adepoju has been suspended from the medical profession in Nigeria with effect from 5th November 2020. The suspension Order was issued by the Medical and Dental Practitioners Investigation Panel pursuant to powers conferred on it by s15(3)c of the Medical and Dental Practitioners Act Cap M8 LFN 2004.
“She graduated from College of Medicine Unilag 2017. By December 2018 she carried out a Plastic Reconstructive Aesthetic Surgery procedure on a patient who developed complications and went on to die from the complications.
“She was a House Officer when she carried out the procedure. Her suspension is till further notice. It is pending the determination of the case by the Medical and Dental Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal.”
“If you read the Dr Anu story earlier this year on Twitter, this is to confirm she has now been suspended from medical practice. She only graduated from The College of Medicine UniLag 2017. Then she did butt enlargement operation on a beauty queen in 2018. Sadly the patient died.”
“Some people say ‘well Dr Anu can practice elsewhere even if suspended in Nigeria’ Actually NO. She cannot. As a Nigerian-trained doctor, To work anywhere in the world, You need a ‘Certificate of Good Standing’ from Medical Council, Nigeria. And you can’t get that if suspended.”

Moments ago Popular cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye popularly known as Bobrisky mocked “upcoming wannabe Bobriskys”, who are hoping to dethrone her from her “no. 1” spot.
Bobrisky took to Instagram to share stunning photos of himself and issued a note of warning to those trying to take over from him.
According to him, the wannabe’s will work tirelessly to steal his throne because he is not planning to leave the spotlight anytime soon.
