Talented Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo has taken to social media to cry out, over threat messages she has been receiving for publicly supporting the #EndSARS movement.

According to the mother of two she has been threatened to stay silent.

Iyabo who disclosed that she woke up to a message from a friend that her name was mentioned in government circle, took to her Instagram page to lament.

She wrote,

“So this morning I wake up to a message from a friend in the media, he said someone sent this to him,” she said.

“Now, if you are close to Iyabo Ojo, advise her to calm down. Smart celebrities who have brains don’t take on governments ooo. I was somewhere and her name was mentioned.”

Before this, the actress had vowed never to support, campaign or vote for any APC or PDP electoral candidate in subsequent elections.

Over the years, Nigeria’s leadership has been between the two leading parties, All Progressives Congress (APC) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

She made her vow public via a tweet. According to her, she would never support any APC or PDP member, regardless of her relationship with the politician.

Her new resolve is hinged on her perception that there is a need for a new Nigeria void of recycled and old leaders.

Former Presidential candidate, Adamu Garba has chided the United States over its ongoing election which he said is filled with rigging machines.

According to former Presidential candidate under the All Progressives Congress, APC in the 2019 general elections, the 2020 US election is the most adulterated in the United States of America’s election history.

He made the comment in reaction to a news that a man who died of coronavirus had been elected into the North Dakota state legislature.

The politician then said there might be a need to lend Yakubu Mohammed, the chairman of Nigeria’s electoral body, INEC to help America conduct its election.

A Nigerian man has narrated how he stopped the police from freeing a suspected pedophile because the mother of the child was unable to ‘pay money to register the case’.

According to @Deleconcept, the man was apprehended after he allegedly fingered a 5-year-old girl in Festac town, Lagos.

He also revealed that the mother of child opted for compensation because she couldn’t pay the money the police allegedly asked her to pay to register the case.

The Twitter user alleged they were able to get the police to act on the case with tips and recharge cards, and he is on ground to ensure the parents and their child get justice.

He tweeted;

People around started beating the man until the Army incharge of the area took him into custody. They asked the parents to call @PoliceNG but as usual someone at the station asked for money to register the case.

The parents didn’t know what to do and too broke to handle the case. So they opted out for compensation from the culprit. I got there & stopped whatever compensation. This man must face justice. I’d some help around and we called some friendly police officers to help pick up the man, this approach came with tips and recharge cards

A Nigerian man on Facebook took to his page to give the praise of an engineer who carried out the work he gave him with all honestly.

Samson Oyenekan on Facebook lauded his AC/Refrigerator engineer, Abdullahi who he’d asked to fix the problem with his AC he thought he knew about and so he gave him a large sum of money to repair it.

Abdullahi however then returned with the AC repaired and the large sum of money Samson had given him and revealed that the problem was a minor one which didn’t need a lot of money to be repaired.

Abdullahi’s honesty touched Samson and so he took to his Facebook page to praise him. He wrote, alongside a photo of Abdullahi,

This is ABDULLAHI, He’s an AC/FRIDGE Engineer! I gave him 12K to buy COMPRESSOR and fix in my AC, He took the AC for repair, fixed it, returned it with my 12K and told me that the compressor was okay, but just a minor relay problem which he said was 500 naira.

”Use your firearms for protection when your life is in danger” – IGP Adamu tells police officers

Nigeria’s Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has said every Police officer is entitled to human rights protection and he advised them to use their firearms to protect themselves whenever they are in the face of any form of danger.

IGP Adamu is currently touring different state commands to assess the level of destruction each command suffered during the civil unrest that broke out across the country after hoodlums hijacked the #EndSARS protests.

Several police officers were killed and many stations destroyed in the wake of the unrest.

The IGP said ;

“All that happened in terms of attacks on the police and police stations, should not stop us from coming out to perform our constitutional duties. But while we are performing this constitutional duties, we must also protect ourselves because every policeman is a human being and is also entitled to human rights protection.

Don’t forget your force order 237. You read and digest it very well. You know when you should use your firearms. You use your firearms in a lawful manner.

One of the ways you use your firearms is when your life is in danger and there is no other way through, then you use your firearms. Does it make sense for a policeman to die when he is carrying a rifle?”

Nigerian Entrepreneur, Jason Njoku has revealed that he has been hospitalized and needs oxygen to breathe due to the COVID-19 he is currently fighting.

Jason and his wife, Actress Remmy-Njoku recently announced that they tested positive and they’ve already commenced treatment. Thankfully, none of his kids were infected.

Nigerian actor, Prince Eke has released screenshots of the messages his ex-wife, Muma Gee allegedly sent to him two years ago in a bid to clear his name and refute the recent claims she made to the press.

Muma Gee had claimed in a recent interview that her estranged spouse with whom she has three children, woke up one morning and decided to leave their marriage.

While giving other claims, she revealed that she put her music career on hold to build her family. However, Prince Eke has denied her claims as he pointed out the inconsistencies in her story and claimed it is because she is lying.

Countering her allegations that she put her music career on hold for him, Prince stated that he sponsored her music career with his money while they were still married and recently loaned her money for her recent music project.

He claimed she used the money he loaned her to organize interviews and slander him. The actor then accused her of spreading lies about him just to publicize her project.

He shared that some years ago, Muma Gee claimed she left their marriage because he proposed to multiple women only for her to now start claiming that he is the one who left the marriage.

The actor also added that he pays Muma Gee’s house rent and other bills but what he gets in return is her spreading lies about him.

He released a video showing the message she allegedly sent to him in January 2018, begging for his forgiveness, admitting to spoiling his public image just to spite him, and admitting he has always been a great father.

Prince Eke slams fan who asked him to reconcile with his ex-wife, Muma Gee

Nigerian actor and film producer, Prince Eke has blasted a fan who suggested he reconciles with his estranged wife, Muma Gee.

The actors former wife, Muma Gee recently disclosed that Prince had walked out of their marriage of five years, and added that it is a big disgrace that their marriage failed but that God knows she tried her best to make the marriage work.

In reaction to her claims, the father of three took to social media to share a photo of himself with his kids and captioned it,

“Moved on. Move on abeg. #Oldgist #Cloutchasers.”

However, a concerned fan took to the comment section to advise that he (Prince) reconciles with singer and ex-wife, Muma Gee.

The fan wrote,

“Caption not fair oo, Go and settle with your wifey”.

Prince who was angered by the comment, did not spare the fan as he took the opportunity to drag him to filth.

According to him, their divorce story shouldn’t be the only way one has to stay relevant.

Reality TV star, Mercy Eke took to Instagram to pepper haters with her dance moves after dumping her ex-lover, Ike Onyema.

Mercy and her former Beau have been throwing open shades at each other on social media for days, and Mercy finally confirmed reports of their breakup yesterday.

The BBNaija pepper dem winner also made a shocking revelation that she is married to a mystery man ‘Mr H’ and promised to share more information soon.

The pair had a seemingly beautiful relationship while it lasted and even had a reality show together airing on TV.

Ike decided to break his silence about his break up with his estranged lover, Mercy Eke today, November 4.

Speaking about the break up, Ike revealed that God miraculously freed him from the relationship and he’s thankful for it.

He wrote,

“He has freed me, I’m thankful already”.

With all the breakup drama, Mercy Eke shared the dance video giving a major “I don’t give a damn” vibe.

Young Nigerian Woman Wins US State Assembly Seat (Photo)

A young Nigerian woman, Ms. Esther Agbaje has made history in the United States by winning a seat in the state Assembly.

According to NAN, Ms. Esther has been elected into the Minnesota House of Representatives in Tuesday’s U.S. general elections.

She will represent District 59B in the 134-member House on the platform of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL), an affiliate of the U.S. Democratic Party.

Esther, 35, won by a landslide, polling 17,396 votes or 74.7 percent of the total ballots cast.

Her closest rival, Alan Shilepsky of the Republican Party, secured 4,128 votes, representing 17.7 percent of the total.

Elections to the lower chamber of the state legislature hold every two years, and there are no term limits for the lawmakers.

The daughter of Nigerian immigrants, Agbaje was born in St. Paul, the state capital of Minnesota.

Her father, Rev. John, an Episcopal Church priest, met her mother, Bunmi, a librarian, at the University of Minnesota where they were studying.

She graduated from George Washington University, Washington, D.C., with a degree in political science.

Esther holds a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania, and also a law degree from Harvard University.

She currently works as an attorney in Minneapolis with a focus on general civil litigation and medical malpractice.

She once served at the U.S. Department of State as a Foreign Affairs Officer, charged with managing the rule of law projects in the Middle East.

Her priorities as a lawmaker include affordable housing, environmental justice, police reform, public safety, and racial equality.
