Nigerian Doctor narrates how he saved the life of armed robber who robbed and almost shot him

A Nigerian medical Doctor has narrated a chilling story of how he saved the life of an armed robber who robbed him and almost shot him.

The Doctor said he was robbed by some suspected cultists on his way back from night shift and his valuables were taken.

He revealed he was terribly beaten after they collected his wallet containing about N6,000. They also cocked their guns and threatened to shoot him if he doesn’t release his smartphone to them.

According to him, the next day, a patient with gunshot injury was rushed to the hospital where he works around 4am and behold it was one of the armed robbers who dealt with him the previous night.

His tweet below;

“I once worked in a hospital in Lawanson, Surulere. One evening around 9pm, I was on my way home when two men intercepted me. It happened around Boluke Pharmacy by Otunba bus stop. The light was bright and people were passing by but nobody stopped.

They showed me a pistol and asked me to bring my phone and all my belongings. There was no way I was giving out that phone. That was the very night I was expecting a text message that could change my whole.

They cocked the gun and threatened to shoot but I stood my ground.

They took my wallet. Luckily I had left my debit cards in the hospital at the suggestion of one of the nurses on night duty. The wallet contained about 6k. They hit my head and dealt with me severely then left.

When I crossed the road, a small group of sympathizers had formed just observing from afar..”Ehh Doctor, sorry o. They collect your phone?” They were so surprised when I told them they didn’t get my phone. They even doubted me. “Ehh Doctor touch your pocket. You sure?”

Then they started advising me. If you wan waka this kind time cross to this side. You see say that pharmacy side dey lonely.

I had to go back and sleep in the hospital cos I didn’t see myself doing corporate begging.

Cult fights erupts in Aborishade atleast 3 times in a week.

It was so bad that residents around came to beg my MD that when it’s 1 a.m, we should switch off the hospital generator so that when gunshot sounds, they can hear and lie down on the ground.

That night was one of them. I don’t want to talk about how myself, the nurses and the patients all lay on the floor. It was a very long night.

The interesting part is that at about 4 a.m, a patient was rushed in with a horrible forearm gunshot injury. He had bled till he was just hanging on a thin line. I rushed over to intervene.

Behold it was one of the men who had dealt with me the previous night and collected all my money. I looked at him. He looked at me. I looked at him. He looked at me. We looked at each other.

I swung to action. Established haemostasis. Stabilized.

There was an indication for blood transfusion so I gave him one pint of blood.

I saved his life not because of him but for the Hippocratic Oath.

When he was discharged, he coudn’t look at me. I told him i had forgiven him. 2 days later he brought back my wallet with 6k inside.

I later learnt that the attack that day was not an individual attack but a gang attack. The first day I entered, intel had reached them that a new Doctor had come.

I was never attacked again since that day. Anytime I walked past you would hear,

“Clear Road for Dockay” ọlọrun jiya awọn ọta (God punish your enemies)

It happened throughout the street. At a point it felt like everybody in that street was a cultist. PUNISH THEM WITH KINDNESS!!!”

Young Nigerian Man narrates his ordeal at the hands of army officers who allegedly abused him and cut his hair (Photos)

A young man has taken to his social media page to share the horrying story of what he went through at the hands of some law enforcement officers.

According to the young man’s story, he was profiled by men of the Nigerian Army simply because he was carrying a full hair.

Read his narration below ;

Hello Nigerians, it seems @HQNigerianArmy are really confused. I’m here 2 share my ordeal in d hand of Nigerian army today on my way coming 4rm church at bodija area of Ibadan where I had to pass Beere axis where operation burst under the directive of Gov @Seyimakinde stationed.

Just like other passersby, one of them run after me and directed me to walk towards a place where 2 officers were seated.. On getting to the stand, I told one of the officers that I don’t know why your man asked me to come to you? He replied welcome to Beere international barbing salon, that was when everything was unravel to me because I saw one of the officers holding a scissor and I’m keeping long hair. He asked me to sit on the floor which I did, he further said Nigerians can only be handled with iron hand, that we can be likened to an animal. You can imagine such insensitive word from a uniform man.

And there I was asked to bring my head closer so that the cutting could be done. There I told the officer that it is not save in this era of pandemic to use such on people who u av no record about their health status.

Then he gave me a slap and I had to give in to his command in other to avoid further harassment. Now I begin to wonder if long hair define someone as a criminal, hoodlum or thief. Truly these people are getting it wrong and I think there should a mental evaluation FOR
each officer before being recruited to the force and even on a regular basis either yearly or every other year.
In Nigeria, I even don’t know if there is anything called civil right?

How could you violate my fundamental human right, encroaching in to my privacy and harassing for keeping long hair?…They were even collecting N500 from everyone they caught, and who doesn’t have is getting beaten which I totally avoided by paying.

I think this is actually what’s prompting them to carry on this assault and violation on people’s human right because it involves money #Shame @HQNigerianArmy

“Church members, friends mocked and insulted me” – Nigerian woman who conceived after battling with endometriosis, Ovarian Cyst shares experience

Sharing lovely photos of her baby bump along with her husband, Andrea Ekeng Inyang, revealed how her church members, certain friends and some other people mocked her throughout the trying period.

She wrote in part,

“I remember one mother’s day i wished myself a happy mothers day and a friend came under my post to remind me that I wasn’t a mum yet…another person on my birthday post asked why I hadn’t conceived yet. Street people who didn’t know I understood efik ridiculed and insulted me, church members kept looking out and stylishly mocking me to a point I stopped going to church,” she wrote.

Read her post in full below:

This is to encourage a sister who is still in the waiting room:

Three weeks to my introduction what should have been normal period turned to non-stop bleeding. Hubby then fiancee took me to the lab where I was told I had endometriosis, PID and Ovarian Cyst. The doctor told me to bring a deposit of 40k to commence treatment immediately cos if I delayed further I could bleed to death and that the earlier I arrested the case the larger my chance of conceiving as delay could make me unable to conceive. I told hubby about it and I remember his question “Is that doctor God, what makes him feel he can conclude on you,”

“I met another doctor who gave me one tabs and the bleeding ceased but he insisted I commenced treatment so I won’t have issues conceiving. After we got married, hubby suggested we wait a year or two first before making babies and I hurriedly agreed but few months into marriage, pressure from left, right and centre made me want to conceive that same year so I started trying quietly without telling hubby…

“Again I went to the hospital and another medical report was given… Hormonal imbalance and fibroid. Life became hell for me. I told hubby and thought that would worry him but again he made a shocking statement …he said ” when we’re ready the baby will come, keep the money you want to go and waste on treatment let’s flex first, there’s nothing wrong with you”.. I got angry and decided to silently try so I went and paid 40k and treatment started so every month I’d expect to miss my period but the period would come and that would make those three days bitter days for me.

“I started praying and fasting too and each time I mentioned it as prayer point hubby would open his eye and reluctantly pray about it then one day he reminded me that we had an agreement and have to together walk with that agreement. I switched to herbal and there’s hardly any root, herbs, anema, I didn’t take…I’d drink, chew and pump my belly but every month the result remained the same.

“Prophecies came from different directions… Some said my womb had been tied and id never be able to conceive again, some said there was a pot swallowing my babies etc… Medically I wasn’t fit, spiritually I lost it and physically I gave up.

“Thanks to when women pray fellowship where I got most encouragement, my mum and dad never ceased praying for me… Good friends and family members also stood in the gap. I don’t even want to talk about the insults I received. I remember one mother’s day i wished myself a happy mothers day and a friend came under my post to remind me that I wasn’t a mum yet…another person on my birthday post asked why I hadn’t conceived yet. Street people who didn’t know I understood efik ridiculed and insulted me, church members kept looking out and stylishly mocking me to a point I stopped going to church.

All the while hubby kept telling me not to worry that I’d have babies when it was time and he also tried his best to make me feel better each time I felt down and hopeless. I can’t remember my many bitter experiences but believe me two years of trying was like 20 years. I lost weight from thoughts and couldn’t go myself to worship God as I wanted but you know the suprising part of this? All that while I kept praying for people seeking the fruit of the womb and out of 5 I prayed for 4 took in. I never really stopped been committed to God and service in my unit in the fellowship I belong. I encouraged people around me and told them about the God of impossibility.

2019 December I told myself I was done asking and trying…I’d switch to praise. So everyday instead of complaining or crying as usual, I’d sing and dance and appreciate God… Most times I’d get cloths and put in my tummy like a pregnant woman other times I’d hold some pieces of clothes and hold like a baby, I bought few babies things and I was hopeful and joyful.

“Towards the end of that dec.2019 hubby asked when I’d be ready to have babies and I said by October 2020… He said get ready that’s what would happen. Don’t get it twisted, hubby wasn’t been careful, he didn’t even know how to count my safe days and we had couple times as often as we wanted. He only exercised faith and prove that there’s power in agreement.

“January 2020 he held my womb and prayed on it. Told me to get two test strips that if one didn’t come out positive the other would. February 2020 I tested positive and well to me it wasn’t real. I kept it away from everyone else until the third month when scan confirmed it.

This is it…there’s power in the tongue and faith makes all things possible. I only needed patience but I lost it completely. I wasted monies buying drugs and taking herbs. I wasted time crying instead if dancing. I let people get to me with their insults and mockery. That’s not what moves God…he’s moved by faith and praise.

“Sir, the battle of infertility isn’t for wifey alone. Give her a helping hand. The moment hubby stood in agreement with me, the story changed. We didn’t take any pill or see any doc…we only praised, prayed and applied faith and God showed up speedily. It was in my seventh month that he told me he too had small small worries but just wanted to always encourage me instead. He talked did how my tears worried him but he decided to be strong as both of us could not be weak. He too had his share of “una no want born” questions to answer. Not for one day did he make me feel bad… Reason I don’t joke with my hubby.

“Sis, it’s not time to give up. Whether you’ve waited ten years or fifty. Whether doctors said you can’t have a child again, question is…what did God say? Forget prophecies and lies from the devil it will only make you miserable. Keep being hopeful, thankful and grateful. The reason God’s allowing it take long is so that when it happens the world would celebrate with you. If I can be a mum today, you too can be a mum.

“Now to everyone of you waiting on God for the fruit of the womb, I join faith with yours and decree that it is done. Get ready cos this time next year we’ll celebrate you. God says you’re fruitful and yes no pit of hell can say otherwise.
Congratulations…it is done!”

According to him the combat will be a means of avenging the death of peaceful protesters who lost their lives to the gunfire incident at the Lekii Tollgate, in October.

The former presidential aide shared his desire on Twitter as he challenged Buratai to a man to man combat.

He tweeted,

“My greatest desire in November is to be in a room with General Buratai. No weapons. No referee. Man to man combat. Only one man coming out alive. Let God use me to avenge the cowardly slaughter of peaceful, unarmed, #EndSARS protesters at #LekkiMassacre by that spineless coward!”

Pastor Funke Felix-Adejumo of Agape Christian Ministries has labelled women, who fails to add value to their husband’s life after marriage as witches.

While addressing her congregation during a sermon, she stated that women are meant to add value to their matrimonial homes and not be a liability to their spouses.

According to her, women should contribute towards paying bills, regardless of how little the amount is, in a bid to support the home.

In her own words:

“You cannot afford to be a nonentity, looking unto your husband before you buy bra. These are the things that remove dignity from a woman. The man helped you to bury your grandmother’s father’s son,”

“He helped to do a wedding for your cousin’s father’s friend’s brother. Everything, one day he’s going to be tired. Do not allow your husband alone to pay the school fees. Contribute no matter how small.

“Do something with your life as a woman. You were created to add value. I add value to my marriage. My husband looked at me and said, ‘I want to be married to you eternally’. Stop being a beggarly wife.

Don’t be a drag or liability. If your husband’s life doesn’t appreciate after marriage, you’re a witch. Some of you are just sitting down, pumping out children, and doing nothing. No man wants a liability in his life.

“The number of children you have is the number of properties you should have so they won’t curse your memory.

“We’re binding the devil but there are things we need to tell ourselves as women. Stand up and take your place!”.
