Big Brother Naija Lockdown contestant, Laycon has expressed a mixture of shock, disbelief and gratitude on making it to the final week of the reality show.

Recall that Laycon was among the four housemates that were up for possible eviction last week. He was up against Trikytee, Dorathy and Ozo. He, however scaled through the eviction process as he had 50.11% total votes, thereby securing a spot in the grand finale.

After the Sunday live eviction show last night, Laycon expressed his disbelief on being among the final 5. He stated that he was just a nobody in Lagos, who is now in the finale.

He said, “Who am I to have made it this far.

“I’m just one artiste in Lagos that got rejected during my IT days even with my CV.

“I’m a nobody but I’m in the finale. Thank God.”

The housemates who made it to the finale are Nengi, Vee, Dorathy, Neo and Laycon.

7-year- old girl allegedly suffers physical and sexual abuse from her parents and uncle

A 7-year-old-girl identified as Yaz, is said to have constantly suffered physical and sexual abuse from her parents and uncle.

The abused girl reportedly told Doctors that she is tired of living and wants to die.

Crime Online reported that, Yaz was taken to hospital de Las Margaritas in Pueblo, Mexico in late August, after suffering from internal bleeding, a collapsed lung, burn marks on her back and cigarette burns on her arms and hands.

The 7-year-old who showed signs of sexual assault when examined by doctors, pleaded that she doesn’t want to go back to her parents but would rather die.

She said,

“I want to die…I don’t want to go back to my parents so that they keep hitting me”.

The Attorney General of the state disclosed that the girl’s parents, Rafael N. and Alejandra N. have been detained and charged with family violence and child abandonment.

However, a police statement revealed that Yaz uncle is on the run after being accused of sexually assaulting the child.

It was learnt that Yaz was taken to the hospital by a neighbor who claimed to have witnessed how Yaz was harmed by her parents on at least three occasions.

In April, this year 7-year-old Yaz had surgery for intestinal damage and was admitted to the hospital in February with cuts on her legs allegedly caused by her parents.

According to reports, in August, doctors did a graft on the burns to the 7-year-olds buttocks that “destroyed part of the muscle.”

The news of Yaz’s by her parents is coming after her 3-year-old sister died in June due to accidental asphyxiation, as prosecution police says it is seriously considering prosecution options against the parents.

A body con dress is that one cloth that every lady should have in her closest. They are very flexible and you can always twitch it up to fit any occasion — date night, casual outing, even corporate events (just add blazers). Despite being a must have, a body con dress will still pass for one of those clothes that betray women, I call it aproko cloth, cos it reveals every detail, your bulging tummy, folds, flat butt, everything. Dear body con dress, I’m only trying to look peng, and not like a pregnant woman.

– Thongs

Thongs are perfect! especially when you want to avoid panty lines in dresses, skirts or tight pants, but they can become so uncomfortable. One moment you’re good, the next moment you are struggling to put them in place.

– Jumpsuits

Every lady has a confusion day —which might be everyday for some— a day you’ll stare at your closet and can’t find what to wear. On days like these, jumpsuits come to the rescue, it’s a complete outfit so you don’t have to think of the perfect top or trouser to match. Jumpsuits are great but can be your worst nightmare when you need to visit the restroom at an outing or on transit. It’s usually a struggle to pull them off or separate at the waist cause it goes all the way down. So when you’re stuck in an uneasy situation and need to use the ladies’, make sure you lock the door behind you, else.

– Off shoulder outfit

I love off shoulder outfits, it shows off the perfect amount of skin I want, not too much and not so little. But then how can I forget how this cloth tends to betray. If Judas Iscariot was an outfit, then this is it. To slay in this outfit, you definitely would need a strapless bra, and strapless bras don’t give that comfort and support the breast needs. So double wahala for dead body. Off shoulders restricts your arm, you can’t conveniently pick up something or shout hallelujah in church, you have to maintain a particular position to avoid the stress of adjusting.

– Jeans

Almost every woman has this in her closet, but that doesn’t exonerate Jean from being a sly. Remember days you leave home with your Jean in place, fitted and smashing, then you’ve just been out for a few hours and the earlier fitted Jean is now baggy. It eez what it eez, you’ve just been betrayed.

– Heels

Heels are beautiful, it gives that touch of class but heels will embarrass you, especially in this country when you don’t have a car, or you’re still a learner trying to figure how to walk in them. Just pray you don’t have to run after a bus with your heels on.. potholes, bumps, are like demons waiting for you to fall. What still baffles me is why we spend so much money on heels that can give us ankle sprain. Sighs

Former presidential aide and socio-political commentator, Reno Omokri has shared his opinion on why people should learn not to be nice.

Taking to his social media, Omokri said being a nice person leads to uselessness as no one respects a nice individual.

According to him, people can be successful, wise, wealthy, purposeful, principles amongst others but one thing nobody should be is nice.

Nollywood actress, Queen Nwokoye has revealed what she realized from the constant bashing of Nengi and Ozo’s friendship.

According to her, a lot of people don’t value courtships otherwise known as chasing anymore, rather they prefer quickies. She stated that chasing a lady was the factor that made relationships stronger back in the days.

She claimed millennials (which she referred to as Indomie generation) won’t understand her point because they are used to getting things done quickly.

Obafemi Martins joins Chinese Super League club, Wuhan FC

Former Super Eagles and Inter Milan striker, Obafemi Martins, has joined Chinese Super League side, Wuhan FC on a one-year deal.

The 35-year-old joined Wuhan on a free transfer after his mouth watering contract with Shanghai Shenhua, that started in February, was terminated last week.

Reports in China claim Shanghai was not happy with Obafemi’s performances and had to let him go.

Wuhan are currently fourth in the CSL Group B table with 16 points from 11 games.

Wuhan face Chongqing Dangdai Lifan in their next game and Martins should have no problem being in the starting line up.

His addition to the Chinese Super League side is expected to add quality and depth to the club’s attacking option.

Nengi reveals why she repeatedly rejected Ozo’s proposal

Big Brother Naija housemate, Nengi has revealed why she repeatedly rejected Ozo’s proposal despite his relentless show of love.

Nengi in a discussion with Laycon, opened up that although she liked Ozo, she had to take her time because she needs to be sure he can deal with her excesses.

She said,

“It will take time for me to date anyone because I need to be friends first and be sure he can deal with the excesses.

Popular Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson had an exchange with a critic recently where she told the latter that “marriage isn’t an achievement”.

The lovely actress and filmmaker had taken to her IG page to share a photo of herself and gave it the caption, “Happiness is a form of courage“.

Reacting to her post, one of her followers then took to the comment section to ask her when she’ll be getting married, cause she’s “becoming old”. Responding to the comment, the actress then stressed her stance on marriage not being an achievement and then listed out the things she considers to be achievements.

8 people burnt to death in Lagos-Ibadan expressway accident

Eight people were burnt to death in a lone accident on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Saturday, September 19.

The accident involving a Mazda bus, occurred around 8.45pm at Saapade Bridge by Straight Gate College on Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

According to the Ogun State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Ahmed Umar, the accident was caused by burst tyre, which led to the bus somersaulting and eventually went up in flames.

Ahmed said, “The suspected cause of the lone accident involving the Mazda bus marked AAA 249 VX was burst tyre, which led to loss of control and then crashed”.

11 persons were involved in the accident, including three males, one female, a child and six unidentified persons.

8 persons were reported to have died in the accident and were taken to the Health Department of Remo North Local Government, while the remaining 3 injured victims were taken to Idera Hospital, Sagamu, for medical attention.

According to Uti, Ozo is the man that most men are too cowardly and scared to be because we have been toxically conditioned to believe that emotions, vulnerability and expressing love is a sign of weakness, when it is actually signs of pure strength.

A video of a Nigerian soldier warning Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) operatives has gone viral on social media.

In the video, the military man expressed his displeasure in the incessant harassments and killings of young men in Nigeria by SARS officers.

The man alleged that military men are also involved in internet fraud (commonly known as Yahoo Yahoo) and warned SARS officers that they will be in huge trouble if they kill a ‘yahoo soldier’.

Many Nigerians have expressed outrage over the unruly operations of some SARS officials.

In February, Tiyamu ‘Kaka’ Kazeem, the assistant captain of Remo Stars Football Club (RSFC) was allegedly killed by a policeman from the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) from the Ogun State Command.

The defender was on his way to Sagamu with one of his teammates, Sanni Abubakar after their training in Abeokuta on Saturday afternoon when the incident occurred.

According to a statement released by his club, Kazeem ran into SARS operatives who then labelled as a ‘yahoo boy’ despite presenting his identity (ID) card to identify himself as a player of Remo Stars FC.

Kenyan man finds out on his wedding day that his bride has four children

A Kenyan man Omwenga is left heartbroken after he found out on his wedding day that his wife-to-be has four grown-up children who are all boys.

The wedding took place at a Pentecostal church in Nyansiongo ward, Borabu Constituency in Kisii County.

The man clearly bedazzled by the discovery reportedly collapsed and became unconscious as he couldn’t bear the shocking news.

According to reports from Vunah Fm, Omwenga made serious preparations for the wedding.

A Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) team at the Eti-osa area of the state helped deliver a newborn baby under Ajah bridge.

In a post shared on their Facebook page, it was gathered that 35 year-old mother, Blessing Emmanuel from Cross River state had no home or family in Lagos and was known to always roam around Ajah bridge.

After she fell into labour, LASEMA’s ‘Operation Storm’ Response Team was the only available medical option. The team helped her deliver her baby boy safely before taking them to Island Maternity Hospital for continued expert medical care.

While LASEMA Response Team on Saturday 19th September, 2020 was evacuating carcas of burnt tanker, 40ft containerized truck loaded with generator sets and the burnt lowbed conveying an excavator from the ‘Tanker on Fire’ incident of Friday 18th September, the Agency was also blanketing another fallen oil Tanker yesterday morning to avoid another fire, a few metres from the Friday night incident scene at Anthony inward Gbagada.

Amidst all of these operations, LASEMA’s ‘Operation Storm’ Response Team stationed at Eti-Osa, under Ajah bridge as part of the proactive measures of the Agency to mitigate against harzards that may trail gridlock following closure of Third Mainland Bridge, has taken delivery of a life baby boy.

35 year-old indigene of Cross Rivers State, Ms. Blessing Emmanuel, a semi-destitute, with no home, nor family in Lagos, and fond of roaming around under the Ajah bridge, fell in labour and LASEMA’s ‘Operation Storm’ Response Team was the only available medical option.

As a complete medical team with an Ambulance at its disposal, presence of LASEMA’s ‘Operation Storm’ Response Team under the Ajah bridge in Eti-osa was timely and made delivery of Ms. Blessing of a life and healthy baby boy safe and easy.

In line with its responsibility of saving lives, after successfully completing the task of delivering Ms. Blessing of the life, male neonate under the Bridge in record time, mother and child were taken to the Island Maternity Hospital in stable condition, for continued, expert medical care.

The video of disqualified Big Brother Naija: Lockdown housemate, Erica visiting Ovation publisher, Dele Momodu’s house has begun serving rounds on social media.

In the video, Erica is seen dining with the veteran journalist’s family in their home and wore smiles as she conversed and had a good time with them.

However, netizens couldn’t help but notice that the actress didn’t don a bra during her visit to the married man’s house and this has caused a stir on social media with many dragging her over supposed “insensitivity”.

Particular about Dele Momodu being a married man, a lot of people were appalled with Erica’s disregard for his status and appearing at his home so loosely… without underwear.

Big Brother Naija reality Tv star, Mike Edwards recently shared photos of the moment he stepped out with his wife, their newborn baby.

The serial entrepreneur was spotted having a fun outing with his lovely family, his wife, Perri Shaykes-Drayton and their son, Matthew Olaoluwa Edwards.

As seen in the pictures she posted, he and his wife carried their baby boy in a baby carriage and attended to him with care.

Big Brother Naija housemate, Vee has revealed that she was never in a relationship with fellow housemate Neo, who many thought was her lover.

According to Vee, she and Neo are not dating and she no longer wish to go into a romantic relationship with Neo, even if he should ask her out.

The 23-year-old musician stated that Neo never asked her out, even when she clearly told him to shoot his shot.

She made this shocking revelation after the Sunday night eviction show, in a conversation that ensued between her, Neo and Nengi.

When Nengi insinuated that Vee and Neo were love birds, Vee bluntly asked her what relationship she was talking about.

A surprised Nengi further asked, “so you people are not in a relationship”.

Vee responded stating that they never dated because her supposed lover never asked her out.

In her words,

“What relationship are you talking about…no we are not in a relationship.

“Upon all the times I said if you wanna ask me, ask me, he didn’t ask me, now time run out”

The Bayelsa born model again asked Vee if she’s interested in dating Neo and Vee responded in the negative.

She said,

“Not anymore, I’m not ready anymore, I’m not ready anymore”.

In what can be best described as a case of “Life goes on”, Big Brother Naija housemate, Nengi has been spotted drinking wine and having the best time as she spends the last final days in the Big Brother Naija: Lockdown house.

Earlier Sunday evening, her crush and superfluous admirer, Ozo was announced as the 15th housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother Naija house and for a while, Nengi seemed to be perturbed over the development.

She was seen shedding tears after his exit, with the rest of the housemates consoling her. See here She was also seen telling Laycon about her “feeling” Ozo’s exit because she’s gotten used to him being around her for a very long time and as such, it was normal for her to feel the way she was feeling.

But not long after, the former beauty queen appears to have moved on from her sober state as she was spotted sipping the wine Biggie gave herself and the rest of housemates in celebration of them being finalists of the fifth edition of the show.

Taking a swim in the Jacuzzi and drinking wine, viewers have found Nengi’s quick switch not necessarily surprising as they believe the tears she was shedding earlier in the evening was insincere.

Ozo had said he knows people would think he is a dumb person because of the way he was always around Nengi during his time in the house.
