Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) of France stars, Neymar, Angel Di Maria, and Leandro Paredes have all reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.
The Ligue 1 champions confirmed that three of their players tested positive to the virus but did not name the players involved.
Neymar, Angel Di Maria, and Leandro Paredes are believed to be the three players to have tested positive, as reported by French outlet, L’Equipe.
The three players have been holidaying in Ibiza following the club’s defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League final on August 23.
A club statement read:
‘Three PSG-English players are confirmed positive after a Sars CoV2 test and have undergone the appropriate health protocols,’
‘All players and staff will continue to be tested over the next few days.’
All three players will now spend time in quarantine and may likely miss the first PSG fixture of the new season against Lens on September 10.
The Parisians picked up a third successive league title in April after the French football authorities decided to cancel the season.

A married woman in Niger state, Dorcas Uange, has lost her right ear after her husband of 17 years, Aduku Sunny White, allegedly bit it off during an argument at their home situated at Kaduna road back of Zuma barracks in Suleja, Niger state on August 28.
Sharing the sad incident with LIB, the daughter of the victim, Agatha, a student of Federal Polytechnic in Bida. said her mother and her stepfather, Aduku Sunny White, have been married for over 17 years.
Her mother is the third wife of Mr. Aduku and they have three children together. Agatha said her mother had her from a previous relationship before she got married to Mr. Aduku who is a traditional doctor.
Agatha said immediately her mother got married to Mr. Aduku, he barred her from working and compelled her to become a fulltime housewife. She claimed her stepfather subjected her to emotional abuse, insulting her at the slightest opportunity irrespective of where they find themselves.
She told LIB that her mother stayed in the union despite all the sadness and pain her husband allegedly caused her. According to her, she was made to go live with her stepfather’s brother because he never wanted her in his house.
She said trouble started when after a recent quarrel they had, Mr. Aduku called his brother and instructed him to throw her out of his house and allegedly threatened to severe his relationship with his brother if he doesn’t do his bidding
” My mum and my stepfather had some issues and so I went to stay with the brother who is a pastor living in town. He called the brother and asked the brother to send me out of his house and that if he still wants to remain his brother, he should chase me out of the house. The brother had no option, he gave me some money and asked me to leave.
When my mother heard that my stepfather asked his brother to send me away from his house, she said she cannot sleep in his own house and be eating while she doesn’t know where I was . She had to leave the house so she can look for me. She had other children with him so she left them with him so she can look for me.
Meanwhile I looked for a one room apartment at Dantata area. My mum said she would come and join me. When she told my stepfather that she was going to look for me, he told her that if she goes out, she should never come back into his house. My mum said yes it is better, she will go.
When she came to meet me, she started looking for work because for the past 17 years they have been married, he stopped her from working and going to school. He just wants her to sit at home doing nothing and if she asks him for money, he will insult her even in the presence of people.” she said
Agatha said her stepfather began calling everyone in their family, accusing her of leaving his home and abandoning their three children with him.
She told LIB that her stepfather was so enraged that he allegedly took her photo and that of her mother’s, did a voice note claiming they were both lesbians and that they absconded from his house to practice lesbianism. Agatha claimed he posted the voice note with their photos on his Whatsapp status and it was seen by many people who downloaded it and started sharing it.
”He took our picture, did voice note and wrote some things, claiming that we were Lesbians. He alleged that I initiated my mother into Lesbianism. He posted it on Whatsapp, looked for my friends and schoolmates and shared it” she said
According to Agatha, she filed a complaint at the Sabon Wuse divisional police station because she feared her school might expel her if they get to know of the false accusation.
”We reported the case. The police went to his house, arrested him and brought him to the station. When the police asked for evidence to prove the allegation of lesbianism, he started pleading, saying he ws angry when he made the allegation. He told the police that we were not lesbians and that he was annoyed and that is why he was just looking for a way to spoil my image.” she said
Agatha said after much pleading, she asked the police to release him and withdrew the case only on grounds that he does another voice note where he would debunk the allegations of lesbianism. She said he agreed, did the voice note, and published it on his Whatsapp status.
Agatha said her stepfather called her mother’s people to inform them that they need to ensure that their sister returns back to his house so she can take care of their three children as his other wife cannot do that. She said her mum spoke with her family and insisted that she will only return back to his house if he will allow her go back to school and start working..
”My mother said before she will go back to his house, she wants to go back to school, have a job where she will leave the house in the morning and come back in the evening and that he should rent a house for her outside because when she was in the house, he will abuse her morning, afternoon and night, accusing her of stealing. He never trusts my mother. Whenever he is eating and his phone rings, he will ask his other wife to come and seat near his food as he doesn’t trust my mother.” she said
Agatha explained that her mother’s relative came from the village to Suleja to see if they could resolve the matter. She said her mother’s older sister and brother who were now like her parents, arrived Suleja on Thursday, August 27. They went for a meeting in her stepfather’s house on Friday, August 28.
She said at the meeting, her stepfather started calling her mother a prostitute. According to her, the older siblings got infuriated by his action and insisted they were going to leave with their sister as they came there to resolve their issues and not create more.
”We were about leaving when he drew my mother back with so much force. She fell on the chair and he jumped on her. He had his mouth on her ears. He bit off the complete ear and spat it on the floor. With tension and fear, we started crying and shouting. He disappeared immediately.
We ran to the nearest hospital in Kerife to see if they would be able to attach the ear back. When we got there, the staff said this was beyond what they can handle. They referred us to Gwagwalada. This was around past 10pm already.
I went out crying to look for a car that will carry us to Gwagwalada. I saw one man who said it was too late for him to go to Gwagwalada but that he would be able to take us to Suleja hospital but that we will have to pay him. I said no problem. He drove us there, we paid him but the hospital said they could not treat her because he uprooted the ear completely.” she told LIB
Agatha said the hospital then referred them to another hospital and also advised them to ensure they place the detached ear inside iceblock so that it would not die. She said there was nowhere they could get ice block and so they got ice sachet water, placed the detached ear in between the sachet water, and tied it in nylon as they continued their search for help.
”On getting to the new hospital, they told us that the doctor wasn’t on sit until tomorrow morning. We cried like we were not going to cry in this life again. Since it was an emergency, we said let us try another hospital. This was few minutes past 11pm. We came out of the hospital, there was no car going to town.
We saw one man, we begged him to carry us. We didn’t even tell the man that we didn’t have transport again because we knew he would not carry us. We said take us to one hospital that is close to my working place.
On getting there, I told my people to take my mother inside while I started begging the driver. I explained to him that we were not having any money on us and that if had told him, he would not have carried us. The man said there is no problem and left us alone.
Getting into the hospital, the doctor said he cannot sew the ear back since it was completely uprooted and that the ear was already dead. He said what he can just do is to treat the face of the wound, give her some injections and pain relief and just seal it up.
We didn’t have any other thing to do than to bury the dead ear.”
Agatha said she reported the matter to the police who invited her stepfather. He has been arraigned before a Sharia court in the state but Agatha says she is not convinced her mother will get justice with the way the court is handling the matter. She says her stepfather has been released by the police as they claim he cannot be detained for more than 24 hours.
She said she and her mum visited the National Human Rights Commission in Abuja on Tuesday, September 1 but were asked to make their complaint in writing and that there were several other persons before them who need to be attended to.
She is seeking justice for her mum.

The life of a beggar identified as Sibongiseni Nkosi experienced a wonderful turn around after he got instant employment for helping a man push his car.
According to a Facebook post shared by HOBO group ZA, Sibongiseni is a 22-year-old who feeds himself daily by begging for cash at local street robots.
He reportedly helped South African, Vic Camphor to push his car after the vehicle refused to start.
Vic then remembered seeing Sibongiseni begging in the area and decided to reward his helpful attitude with a job as a petrol attendant at his parent’s Engen garage.

Big Brother Naija Lockdown housemate, Nengi has cleared the air about being in love triangle with Ozo and Prince.
According to Ozo, he was having suspicion that Nengi and Prince might be romantically involved. He mentioned that he has been seeing prince going to her room a lot lately. He also stated that he saw Nengi wink at Tolanibaj’s love interest.
Expressing his concerns, Ozo said he doesn’t want to go back to being in a love triangle again. Recall that he was in a similar situation with Nengi and Dorathy in the first few weeks of the show.
Nengi, however, cleared his suspicion and stated that she is not in a love triangle with Prince. She downplayed his emotions by saying he was just overreacting and exaggeration.

Two yet-to-be-identified women have been killed in an accident involving two trucks, a tanker, and a commercial bus at the Anthony area of Lagos State, on Tuesday, September 2.
The Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, who spoke to newsmen at the scene, said the accident was caused by reckless driving.
In his words
“The agency received distress calls about the incident and upon arrival at the scene of the incident, it was discovered that a four-vehicle accident had occurred.
The vehicles comprised two tipper trucks, one with number plate AKM-741ZT; and another with unknown number plate, a loaded tanker with unknown number plate and a commercial bus with unknown number plate.
The resultant collision, which was a result of reckless driving, left occupants of the bus trapped within
With the use of the agency’s light rescue equipment, six people were extricated from the bus. They were found to have sustained varying degrees of injuries and, unfortunately, two adult females lost their lives at the scene of incident.
Agency responders, the LRU ambulance, LASAMBUS, Nigeria Police, Lagos Fire Service and LRU fire Unit were joint responders at the scene of incident.
The operation is ongoing, more updates will be communicated.”

A pregnant woman identified as Flavia Godinho Mafra was found dead with her baby cut out of her body after allegedly being lured to a fake baby shower by her old friend.
Godinho was believed to be 36 weeks pregnant when she died in Canelinha, Santa Catarina, Brazil.
According to NSC Total, Godinho’s school friend admitted using a brick to kill her after luring her to the murder scene on the pretense of a baby shower.
Paulo Alexandre Freyesleben, the detective in the case confirmed the cause of death of the victim, was a sharp cut to the abdomen and wounds from a brick, G1 newspaper reported.
On August 28, the woman’s lifeless body was reportedly found by the victim’s husband and mother at an abandoned pottery yard with the baby missing.
Police later revealed that the baby was taken to hospital by the suspect and her husband, who were both arrested.
The suspect, who was an old school friend of the victim, reportedly confessed to the police that she had been planning to steal a child after she lost her own baby due to a miscarriage in January.
The baby remains in hospital where she is said to be receiving treatment for the injuries sustained when she was allegedly ripped from her mother’s belly.
Authorites are yet to confirm if the baby was removed while her mother was alive or if she was already dead.
The victim has been buried in the Municipal Cemetery of Canelinha.

Justice graduated from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri where he studied Microbiology and successfully completed his service year in Akwa Ibom state in 2019.
According to him, he used to see the crippled men on his way to the weekly Commmunity Development Service (CDS) and was moved with compassion for them. Donald said the prospective in-law said they wanted her to clean the makeup so they can see the real her and they offered her wipes to do so but she refused.
He wrote:
“This guy carried his girlfriend to meet his family in Ibadan, his mother and sisters asked the girlfriend to wash her makeup so they can see her, she wasn’t cool with that, they offered her wipes or something she refused too.”
His tweet caused a mixed reaction on Twitter as some condemned the girl for not wiping off the makeup, while others condemned the family for making such request.
A senior civil servant identified as Mohammed Ndanusa has been arrested for allegedly placing his unqualified brother on government job payroll for 11 years.
Ndanusa was arrested in Minna, Niger state after he was found to have smuggled his brother’s name in government’s payroll, since 2009.
The suspect who was working for the Ministry of Health collected the brother’s salary for about 11 years.
The civil servant was reported to have to have promoted the brother severally, from Grade Level 10 to Grade level 14.
Meanwhile Ndanusa’s brother Tanimu, was all along a bike man in Minna and was not qualified to be on the level, his brother illegally arranged in his name.
The truth was revealed when he asked his “Okada-rider” brother, Tanimu Ndanusa to appear for screening.
The Niger State government is presently doing physical verification of all civil servants in the state.
According to P.M. News, when Tanimu Ndanusa appeared before the panel, he did not come with any certificate. And he could not even speak, like a senior civil servant on Level 14.
Members of the screening committee were stunned and called the police to arrest him.
The two brothers, Mohammed Ndanusa and Tanimu Ndanusa have been arrested by the police, and Mohammed Ndanusa has since confessed to the crime.
Ndanusa confessed that he fraudulently employed his brother on grade level 10 in 2009 and subsequently promoted him three times to grade level 14 till date.
A 32-year-old man (name withheld) has been dragged to court after attempting to rape a woman in Gwanda, Zimbabwe.
The suspected rapist who appeared before a Gwanda magistrate, insisted on explaining and justifying why he had attempted to rape his neighbour. He alleged that he carried out the rape as revenge because his neighbours were bewitching him.
According to the suspect, his neighbours use charms to make him sleep with the complainant at night to enrich themselves.
He said;
“Your Worship I would like to explain my situation. The complainant’s family uses goblins to make me sleep with the complainant at night in order to gain riches.
“This has been happening for a while now. I, therefore, wanted to have my revenge and that’s why I did what I did.”
However testifying in court, the prosecution said the man nearly raped the woman but couldn’t due to premature ejaculation. After the failed rape attempt on August 21, the accused person reportedly warned the woman not to divulge what had occurred.
The Chronicle reported that the victim disregarded the warning and reported him to the police. The prosecution said;
“On 21 August at around 9 AM the complainant was on her way to Sibangani Village in the company of her younger sister when the accused followed them without them noticing. He approached the complainant from behind and grabbed her arms. The complainant’s younger sister ran away and left them behind.
“The accused person dragged the complainant into a bush where he forcibly removed her clothes. The complainant screamed for help but no one heard her as they were far from homesteads. The accused person went on to fondle the complainant. He then ejaculated before raping the complainant.”
Magistrate Nyathi remanded him in custody till September 8.

A 26-year-old woman identified as Rutendo Nhemachena has reportedly died during river baptism in Zimbabwe. According to reports, the woman was grabbed by a mermaid.
Nhemachena was said to have been possessed by a mermaid spirit before becoming violent and jumping into the river.
The incident occurred at Manyame river in Zimbabwe, where leading prophet, Isaac Manyemba was cleansing men and women with his aide only identified as Mai Manyika.
According to local media outlet, HMetro, the people who were with her believed that she had been grabbed by a mermaid and didn’t try to rescue her.
The prophet who confirmed the tragic incident said the woman overpowered him and seemed like she was possessed by a mermaid spirit.
In his words,
“The two convinced me and I led them to the river where we attended to a number of men and women when Nhemachena suddenly came into the river possessed.
“She pushed all of us and we failed to handle her before she immersed me and disappeared into the water.
“We were comforted by one woman who claimed that her child was once taken by a mermaid when he was seven years old and returned from water at the age of 14.”
However the woman’s family did not believe the claims and insisted she would not be buried until a post mortem had been carried out.
The family spokesperson, Patience Gwebede said,
“We are expecting the law to take its course as well as get an explanation from the traditional healer or Madzibaba and Madzimai who were conducting the cleansing ceremony.”
