In another development to the news, one of Bimbo’s friends, Irene, revealed that this is going to be the sixth time she would be battered in such manner and condition.

This is like the 6th time you beating Bimbo even with her pregnancy. Don’t know why she loves you this much to be taking all you do to her. After beating her you will drag her to club, last time I saw her in the market so lost in thoughts. You want to make her a total house wife. The President made this known during a special interview session with the Nigerian Television Authority NTA which aired last night. According to President Buhari, he will be more ruthless and he will ensure the judiciary and police work effectively.

When asked if he will be more ruthless in his second term, he said “Those who call me ‘baba go slow’ will see whether I am slow or fast.”

Expatiating, President Buhari said,

“It means I will persuade the police and the judiciary to be hard and where I uncover that they are not hard, I will find out who is responsible for the slowness in terms of command from the DPO upwards. The IG cannot do it alone; he needs to depend on commissioners who in turn depend on DPOs.”

Nigerian Lady Writes on the Consequences of Regina Daniels induction in Anioma tradition

Regina Daniels induction

A Nigerian Lady has taken to facebook to write on the alleged consequences of Regina Daniels induction to billionaire husband Ned Nwoko, in the Anioma tradition.

According to the lady identified as Onuh Chisom Maryjane, it carries a whole lot of implications if Regina Daniels ever cheats on her husband.

Read below ;

The implication of Anioma’s marriage induction ritual

1) Regina Daniels is expected to be faithful to her husband and not sleep with another man except him.

If conji comes and he is not available or he is tired, she can touch herself by way of masturbation or use a vibrator but she is expressly forbidden to sleep with any other man except Oga Ned Nwoko.

If she mistakenly sleeps with another man who is not her husband, the gods will come after her and the punishment in the most instance is death.

If her husband is aware that she is cheating on him and refused to take action, the ritual will come after him and his older kids.

The ritual culture was designed to check the excess and curtail the infidelity of women from that part of the world.

2) In case her husband happens to be no more, she is not expected to remarry except she goes through another round of ritual to untie herself from the man.

If she mistakenly marries another man without doing this, she will die and the ritual will also come after the man that married her without asking a question.

In all these, Oga Ned is allowed to sleep with other women and acquire as many trophy wives as possible but none of the wives are permitted to cheat on him.

This is the culture of our brothers and sisters in Anioma so I don’t have any personal opinion about it but let’s not forget that there is no free lunch in life, not even in town

“The G-wagon Okoro Blessing flaunted months ago is not hers” – User claims

Blogger, Okoro Blessing may be the trending topic for the rest of this week.. and we are not surprised.

If you’re not familiar with this story… Let’s bring you up to speed.

Blessing during her 30th birthday flaunted a 7-bedroom duplex she claimed she built from the scratch up. She said she got the motivation after her ex-husband chased her away from his one-bedroom apartment.

She was later exposed to have flaunted another man’s house. She of course tried to counter the claims… only to be humiliated by the Billionaire owner. (Watch the videos here)

Now someone has revealed that the G-Wagon Barbrus she flaunted months ago is also not hers.

Lets bring you up to speed again.

Recall in March 2019, Blessing showed off a G-Wagon Brabus she bought for her ’30th birthday’. While sharing the photos of the SUV, she wrote; “Legit dey pay but the only thing be say legit dey take time. My name is okoro blessing nkiruka.”

However an Instagram user who is in the ‘know’, has revealed that the G-Wagon the blogger showed off months ago is actually not hers. But for her ‘Sugar Daddy’.

The user claims she has repeatedly questioned the blogger about the hereabout of the said SUV, but she always says the G-Wagon is parked in her garage and only driven to special places.

We also did a quick check on her Instagram page, and found out that she actually hasn’t taken any photo with the G-Wagon since the claims.

Checking on your husband’s phone is one reason why marriages fail – Wife of Top Kannywood actor

Former Kannywood Actress, identified as Mansurah Isah has stated one of the reasons many marriages in the world of today fails.

The former actress who is married to top Kannywood Actor, Sani Danja, pointed out that marriages fail because ‘women check through their husbands’ phone’, adding that sometimes she has “to be blind, deaf and dumb to survive her marriage”.

This was stated when she had an interview with DailyTrust.

When asked about her transition to charity services, She said

Like you know, I have encountered a lot of controversies and have been through a lot in life. I’m sorry to say this but, in the northern part of Nigeria, when a woman gets married things become a lot different for her. She no longer gets some of the things she desires and deserves. This has a lot to do with our culture and religion. When culture does not stop you, religion will stop you and what religion does not stop you from, culture will stop you. So these are some of the challenges women are facing in the north.

However, for you to be able to make it after marriage, you have to fight a lot of obstacles, you have to work hard, for you to be able to get what you really want and Alhamdullila, I’ve gotten what I want. I fought for myself, my life and future in order to come back because even in my family, there was a lot of crises. I was told ‘you won’t do this; you are a married woman now’. It is apparent that there is no way a man can take care of a woman 100 percent. There are some things you cannot tell the man you really want because you feel shy of demanding for them.

There are times when a man may be broke and not able to fend for his family but if the woman is working, she will raise him. These are the kind of things I want our people to think about when they want to stop the married woman from working, especially when that work is not haram in the religious setting.

I was affected because wherever I went for a job or applied for one, and another girl who is not married goes for the same job, definitely I will not get that job, even when they know that I am more qualified and can deliver better, simply because I am married.

Asked if she succeeded in her business because her husband supported her, She said

I know I succeeded because he supported me, and he too has been having challenges because people tell him that he is ‘mijin tace’ because of the way he is supporting me by giving me the liberty to live my life.

Before he married me, he knew the kind of person I am. He knew how hard working I am, how I tried to make ends meet because I am not the kind of person that will fold my hands and wait for him to do everything for me and our children.

And thank God Alhamdullilah, one of the reasons why my husband is supporting me totally is what happened when he had an accident in which he broke his two legs and arms. That episode really changed his perception because we suffered a lot then. All the money we gathered was used for surgery to make him walk again.

From that moment, my husband realized the importance of a man allowing his wife to work because that time I used to go to Dubai to buy kitchen equipment and bring them to Abuja to sell. The money really helped us a lot and when my husband got back on his feet, he told me ‘Mansurah, I wouldn’t want you to sit down at home. You can go out and work but anything our religion does not allow you to do, please don’t do it. I give you 100 percent support’.

I know it’s not every man that can do this, so I thank him all the time and he knows that allowing me to work gives him a lot of freedom. This is the kind of thing that makes our marriage work. This is what makes us the best couple in the north.

When asked the secret to her 11-year-old marriage Mansurah said:

The nickname people call my husband is mai buhu buhu loosely translated as somebody that has plenty women. Being married to Sani Danja is not a day’s job and it is not easy at all. Sometimes, I have to be blind, deaf and dumb to survive in this marriage.
He is a star, and apart from that he is handsome and rich. These are the qualities a lot of women want in a man. A lot of girls beg to date him.

I was able to build a lot of patience to understand the kind of man I married. I married a celebrity because I was also a celebrity and sometimes fans can make crazy remarks of you.

What do you expect from a man whose religion permits to marry four wives? One of the key things that make our marriage stand is that I have never in my life gone through his phones.

You know, the act of women checking their husband’s phones is one of the main reasons why marriages collapse. When a woman checks her husband’s phone and sees something she’s not supposed to see, it will really affect her, and by extension the marriage. But when you stay away from your husband’s phone, his laptop and some personal stuff, you will have a very peaceful marriage. I think those are the kind of things that has made our marriage last.

Presidency explains why Buhari can’t guarantee end to Boko Haram insurgency.

Presidency explains why

The Presidency has said there is no guarantee that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari will eradicate Boko Haram insurgency.

The Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, explained that such promise can’t be made because Boko Haram has become a global challenge.

He stated that the federal government was doing all it can to tackle banditry and kidnapping.

According to Shehu who spoke on Channels TV Sunrise Daily:

“I can’t promise you that Boko Haram will or will not be eradicated but it is an ongoing challenge globally even in the more advanced, more weaponised nations, it is still a challenge.

“I am happy that there is a realisation that there is shifting ground. When the president came in in 2015, the big issue was Boko Haram. Boko Haram has faded away, it is on the way out but new challenges have arisen. You have mentioned banditry and kidnappings and these ones are being tackled.

“Recent successes have been recorded, look at what for instance, the police are doing, operation Puff Adder that they launched. They have netted in over 150 suspected kidnappers and bandits and they have recovered huge quantities of weapons, guns, surprisingly, locally made semi-automatic weapons, revolvers that have multiple cartridges in Anambra, Plateau and Zamfara.

“The attacks you just mentioned is still a far cry from those attacks that we had seen in the past. They are being pushed away farther from the national population. We had mentioned this thing about cheap availability of weapons in the country and across borders.

“As it is now, our security services are coming to terms with the fact that that is one area they have to tackle. The source of weapons whether locally manufactured or brought from abroad has to be tackled otherwise, it is like oxygen to crime.”

‘I am not a Yahoo boy’ – Young photographer who was arrested by EFCC cries out!!!

A young man who was recently paraded by EFCC as an alleged ‘Yahoo Boy’ (internet fraudster) in Abuja has come out to issue a disclaimer.

According to the young man who is a photographer known as ‘Young Kozzo’, he was simply arrested alongside the ‘main’ suspects while he was there as an ‘innocent’ photographer.

Sharing his story after he was granted bail on Monday, he wrote,;

As a means to get myself useful even in a country that neither has jobs to offer it’s youth nor supports the few that follow their dream to build brand and provide services, I @Kozzographa was doing a video and picture profile for @CzaBoi and @i_am_black_montana scheduled for 3 days in Abuja from 15/05/2019-17/05/2019. on the 3rd day Friday 17/05/2019 at about 6am, Officers and staff of the @officialefcc invaded the house/Studio where we were working following a tip off by an anonymous and arrested the ten of us including @Beat_boi the music producer recording Czaboi’s new mixtape Album.

Saying I wasn’t involved in any fraudulent activity even caused me more drills as I was slapped mercilessly with pepper spray in my eyes. We were taken to the EFCC office in Wuse 2, served jobs and immediately after rolling on the ground our pictures were taken even before stating anything.

We were taken to the AFF department were we gave our statements with all Social media and bank account details and later put in the EFCC cell from Friday 17/05/2019- Monday 20/05/2019. I and @beat_boi were released on bail on Monday after scrutinization of our accounts to find no history of fraud.

On coming out, I found my names and pictures were on @officialefcc instagram page alongside so many other blogs as “suspected Yahoo boys”. I met @Czaboi as an artiste who has proper management thus I had no reason to doubt his business.

This is a disclaimer and to clear the air and my reputation that I have never shown interest nor gotten involved in any fraudulent activity, all I do is Photography and Music, Now I will say I was arrested for chasing my dreams. God bless Nigeria!

Dreams Do Come True In Nigeria With The TECNO Light Up Your Dream Project.

Having hopes and dreams comes easy, giving life to them is the difficult part. A lot of research, planning and spending is involved, all of which takes a lot of time and effort.

Still, many people will gladly do all this in order to make their business dreams a reality. But very often, they complain about the problem of finance and how it prevents them from bringing their business ideas to life.

As Africa’s most preferred smartphone brand, TECNO Nigeria understands this. Which is why, since 2017, the brand has brought light to the hopes and dreams of young people by empowering 8 Nigerians and counting with one million naira each to establish their various businesses through the #LightUpYourDream campaign (LUYD).

Take for instance, Emeka Nnamani a poultry farmer with over one thousand chickens. Since emerging as one of the winners during 2018 edition of the competition, he and his mother are doing really great and have continued to grow their poultry business, supplying businesses and other small-scale poultry farmers in his community.

Another winner, Jeremiah Okon, who is a ginger farmer, wanted to be one of the biggest farmers in Africa. To do this, he needed to grow his business. After winning 1 million naira through the #LightUpYourDream project, he has been able to increase his farmland to 5 acres and his yearly yield of ginger to 1,500 bags a year.

There is also a fish farmer named Abiola Adesina who had difficulties maintaining his fish business. With the 1-million-naira prize money, he was able to increase his fresh fish output and sustain his business.

Yet another winner, Basiru Bolatito was a seamstress in the South West. Winning the 1-million-naira prize money made it possible for her to move to a bigger city and buy modern sewing equipment which has increased her ability to service bigger clients, employ others and invest.

TECNO is however not stopping at this. The 2019 edition will see even more Nigerian youths given the opportunity to make their dreams come true because 7 people will emerge winners by going home with 1 million naira each. Little wonder they say TECNO is for Nigerians. This year’s edition will be the third of its kind courtesy TECNO Nigeria.

This year, over 17,000 entries were received at the end of the competition. Top 5 entries were selected every week for 5 weeks where the best two were picked weekly via vote by the audience. “When I woke up, I realized my kidney was gone” – Human Trafficking survivor, 23, shares her horrific experience in Lebanon

Fatou Badjie and Amie are two Gambian Human Trafficking survivors, and they both shared their horrific experiences in Lebanon and Egpyt respectively.

Immediately after she graduated from university, Badjie, 23, was approached by a close friend about employment prospects in Lebanon. The friend told her that there were job opportunities and if she decided to go there she’d earn a decent salary. She felt strongly that the friend would wish her nothing but success. She agreed to go to Lebanon.

In an interview with the Chronicles, Badije said;

“So I just jumped into it without asking questions. He came with a document and I signed it without hesitation,” she explains.

In the signed document, Fatou agreed to pay D3,000 as deposit before her friend would process her travel documents. To her, this was an opportunity to get her family out of poverty. I paid the money and the next day he brought my passport and visa. Everything was intact. The following week, I left for Senegal.”

Excited and hopeful, Fatou boarded a plane in the early hours of 26th June 2014, and flew more than 3500 miles to Beirut in Lebanon.

“I met an immigration officer who immediately took my documents and asked me to follow him. He took me to a small room where I found over 100 girls of different nationalities.”

One of the girls told Fatou that she was sold by human traffickers. Fatou became scared and confused. She stayed awake the whole night wondering what would happen to her the next day. In the morning, she confirmed she was in trouble.

“Some women came and started touching me and the other girls. One of them touched me and asked me to follow her. She told me that she had bought me and that I was her slave. I started laughing because I thought it was a joke.”

There was no joke and Fatou was actually trafficked to be bought for modern day slavery. The woman took her to Hamra, a neighborhood in Beirut where she laid down the house rules.

“She told me that my job was to take care of her husband who had cancer.”
Bathing the sick man, changing his clothes, carrying him on her back and feeding him became Fatou’s daily routine. I’d wake up at 6am and I would not stop working or go to bed unless the old man managed to sleep. I was so frustrated. I never thought I could go through this kind of trauma in my life.”

When Fatou got fed up, she approached her boss and told her she wanted to leave. “I told her that the contract I signed in The Gambia said I was coming to Lebanon to work in a restaurant and earn a living. She told me she spent a lot of money on me and I’d have to pay the money back before I could leave.”

Fatou was compelled to stay on even though she never received any salary for her work. But her conditions worsened after that conversation with her boss. She’d put a hot place of rice on Fatou’s back and eat from there. Other times she’d face more severe punishment than that.

One day she accompanied the boss to the hospital not knowing there was a plan to do an operation on her.

“When we went to the operations room I was scared. She told me to sit and wait. As I was waiting, I dozed off and I didn’t remember anything. When I woke up I realised that I was operated and my left kidney was removed, without my consent,” Fatou says.

It would later emerge that the boss’ sick husband was in need of a kidney and Fatou’s kidney was given to him.

Even with one kidney removed, Fatou’s nightmares continued. She was arrested and jailed after cutting her boss with a knife in self-defense. In jail, she was regularly beaten and the guards made several attempts to sexually assault her.

After 18 months in jail, she escaped and ran away to a sea side. Through the help of a fisherman she met, Fatou processed her documents and returned to The Gambia in April 2018.

Amie’s story:

Amie Jobe was trafficked to Egypt in December 2014 by a friend who worked for the immigration department. He told her that there were lot of job opportunities in Egypt and she’d earn up to $450 a month.

Once Amie accepted the offer, the officer processed her passport and introduced her to a group of Sierra Leoneans based in The Gambia. They took her to Dakar and handed her over to another agent who helped her to get an Egyptian visa.

“When I arrived at the airport in Cairo, my luggage was taken from me by two men who put me in their car and drove away. It was a 12-hour journey,” she tells The Chronicle. “When we arrived at our destination, they put me in a room and locked me in for about an hour.”

The men later confiscated her passport and told her that she was sold into slavery. For the next two weeks, she was locked inside the room. At the end of the two weeks, an Egyptian woman picked her from the agents’ house.

“The woman bought me. When I got to her house, she told me that my task was to take care of her three kids. From that day, the kids became my responsibility. She forced me to wake up as early as 5am to look after the kids.”

Three months later, Amie fell out with her boss after a heated argument which resulted to the boss hitting her. She wanted Amie gone, at 2am.

“I told her I wasn’t leaving without the salaries she owed me for the three months I worked for her. She ended up giving me $50 instead of $450 a month. $400 went to the Nigerian agents who received me in Egypt.”

Amie had to walk 90 kilometers in the middle of the night. “There was no car and I was imagining all kind of things. I could have been kidnapped, killed or raped.

Amie was indeed tortured by the police and sexually harassed by the Nigerian agents before she was able to return to The Gambia.

Today, both Fatou and Amie dedicate their time to the Network of Girls against Human Trafficking, an organization they set up along with other survivors of human trafficking to sensitize Gambians about the human trafficking and help combat it.

“There are so many issues that can’t be forgotten in this whole situation. I didn’t think that our own brothers and sisters would be so mean that they’d take us from our country and sell us out as slaves just for money. If you go through these things you can’t forget them,” says Amie.

The Gambia is listed by the US State Department as a Tier 2 country, and its 2018 Trafficking in Persons Report, the State Department said the Government of The Gambia did not fully meet the minimum standards for the elimination of trafficking, though it was making significant efforts to do so.

“Gambian women are subjected to forced labor and sex trafficking in the Middle East, including Lebanon and Kuwait. Authorities have identified Gambian trafficking victims in Egypt, UAE, and Finland,” the US State Department said.
