My Review of the Infinix HOT 40 PRO Smartphone

Infinix HOT 40 PRO Smartphone review

The evening I bought the Infinix Hot 40 Pro, I knew I was in for a treat. Its sleek design and robust build hinted at the powerful gaming experience that awaited me. On unboxing it, I got the newly introduced colour by Infinix, Starfall Green, its design captivated me. The Hot 40 Series is renowned for its dazzling design, featuring a layer of sparkling crystals against a starry texture. This design has a lustrous finish that shifts in appearance, reflecting light from various angles. My Starfall Green model, a blend of black and green, shimmered like an aurora in the night sky – a colour-shifting spectacle reminiscent of a starlit sky.

As a passionate gamer on a budget, I was eager to test its limits, the MediaTek Helio G99 processor, combined with the XBOOST gaming engine was a dream come true, smoothly handling every game I threw at it, from COD mobile to Far light 84, and even PUBG Mobile. The seamless and responsive gameplay kept me hooked for hours. I was particularly captivated by the vibrant visuals on the 120Hz FHD+ display, which brought my favourite games to life with stunning clarity and vibrant colours, making every gaming session feel like a dive into another world.

Immersing myself in the world of gaming with the Infinix Hot 40 Pro has been an epic saga. The XArena gaming suite became my command center, tailoring the phone’s resources to push for peak performance, making every battle and race feel as if I was truly part of the action. The DTS audio wasn’t just sound—it was an auditory landscape that enveloped me, transforming gunshots and orchestral scores into a visceral experience. And even during marathon sessions, the phone stayed cool against my fingers, thanks to the advanced cooling system that kept the heat of battle purely virtual. The sleek device felt like an extension of my hands, responding to every tap and swipe with precision, keeping me agile and engaged in the gaming universe I had plunged into. It’s no wonder, Infinix calls the HOT 40 Pro, the pinnacle of Gaming and Entertainment.

 Infinix HOT 40 PRO Smartphone review

But the Hot 40 Pro isn’t just about gaming. The Hot 40 Pro shines with its rapid charging capability. Its 5000mAh battery, supported by 33W Enduring FastCharge, powers me through day-long adventures without a hitch. The Ultra Power Saving Mode has been a lifesaver on several occasions, offering up to 2 hours of calling time with just 5% battery. We’re all aware, that it’s football season, I heard an advert on the radio that said, your HOT 40 Pro with just 5 minutes charge can power a full 90-minute football game, did I try it? YES. Did my phone fail me? NO

What’s a smartphone without a good camera, the 108MP Triple AI rear Camera and 2MP macro lens of the HOT 40 Pro were a pleasant surprise, capturing high-quality photos with ease and perfectly, while the 32 MP front camera gave me perfect selfies. The various photography modes like Professional Portrait Mode, Dual View Video, Beauty, Slow Mo, AR Space, Super Night, Panorama, and Sky Remap brought a creative edge to my photos and videos. The mode I most especially like is the dual view video, which enables me to record and capture moments from both the front and rear cameras simultaneously, doubling the fun and perspective in every scene.

The memory capabilities of the Infinix Hot 40 Pro are a standout feature. With up to 16GB of Mega RAM enabled by RAM extension technology, the ability to switch between up to 18 apps is a game-changer. This means faster boot times and improved multitasking, allowing for seamless transitions between games and other apps. Additionally, the potential to extend available RAM means more room for my gaming apps and less worry about running out of memory. The ample storage ensures that I have all the space I need for my games and apps.

With XOS 13.5 powering my Infinix Hot 40 Pro, I’ve experienced exceptional smoothness during usage. The interface delights with its slick animations and quick transitions, maintaining a highly responsive feel. Plus, the built-in NFC feature simplifies my life, streamlining data sharing and transactions with its touch-and-go convenience. The HOT 40 Pro is also equipped with what is called, the Metamaterial Antenna which helps to enhance my connectivity, significantly reducing game latency and boosting download speeds.

Who needs Alexa, when you have the multilingual Folax assistant? Engaging with Folax has been an interactive revelation on my Infinix Hot 40 Pro. It’s like conversing with a friend who can keep up with multiple topics seamlessly. I can dive deeper into discussions, asking complex questions, and Folax flows with the context, providing rich, informed answers. Whether I’m using voice commands during gameplay or texting for quick info, Folax adapts, enhancing my daily digital interactions with its upgraded capabilities.

The HOT 40 Pro is a testament to what a budget-friendly smartphone can achieve. It’s a comprehensive entertainment package that caters perfectly to gamers and everyday users alike. It’s a device that offers high-end features without breaking the bank, making it a must-have for anyone looking for performance and entertainment in one sleek package.

“They told me to be careful, that a neighbor of mine told them I was into fraud” – Nigerian man narrates how he was arrested by the police following a tip from his neighbor.

African Man With Handcuffed Hands Isolated On White Background

A Nigerian man who identifies as @somteeofficial has narrated via the microblogging platform X, how his neighbor called the police on him after suspecting that he was into fraud.

The police had showed up at his home in the early hours of today, to search his home, while placing him in handcuffs.

Narrating the ordeal, he wrote;

“Just got handcuffed by police What an amazing way to start my week. So police officers came to my place this morning & handcuffed me saying I was under arrest (for a crime they wouldn’t tell me about). After searching through all my rooms for whatever evidence they could find, then proceeding to search through my phones, laptops etc (at this point already figured what this was about). Asked me what I do for a living, told them I build apps & mobile games, you could clearly see over a dozen of them installed on my phones, and dozens more on app stores. Even just putting on my laptop right there on the screen was a mobile app I was developing. Threatened that if they take me to the station the forensics would find anything implicating on my devices, even the ones I’ve deleted. Told them unless they want to plant something on me, they wouldn’t see even as little as me charging someone an extra N100 for something not to talk of scamming. Long story short, after looking through all my chats they figured I was clean, they then told me I should just be careful.. Apparently a neighbor of mine gave a “tip” to the police that they suspected I was into fraud. Cause they always see me at home and I seem to be doing so well. Lol. Funny cause I don’t even relate with a single neighbor in the estate The only regret I have is not getting that officers contact, I really want to know who that neighbor is.”

“My junior sister saw your tweets on someone’s Facebook page and called to inform that am been dragged on social media.
You didn’t have to put it here without finding out the whole truth.
I have been feeling bad about the whole issue and trying to look for a better way to address this and appease you. But since you’ve taken it up to embarrass me on social media, I don’t owe you any explanation.

You are lying through your teeth about the issue. Have you told everyone that you weren’t performing the duties of a girlfriend? You don’t even know how to cook a proper meal. Talking about feeding me and all when I was the person doing all the cooking for you and Obinna.

We accidentally had sex one of the days you went to work and it eventually turned to a love story I can’t wipe off because of friendship. I got pregnant too. You can’t blame me for getting pregnant please. I avoided your calls when I returned to Lagos because of guilt.

Now you’ve posted it for the world to see I don’t care anymore. Do your worst.”

The actress via a written post on Instagram mentioned that marriage is not an achievement and finding the right partner is, people should be allowed to make good decisions when finding the right partner.

Mary Remmy Njoku

The filmmaker referenced an anonymous woman, who is being abused domestically by her husband but still comes to social media to troll single ladies. She exclaimed that the people should focus on the economy and let the singles breathe.

She captioned the post;

“You wed a man who intimidates you during pregnancy with potential side chick, yet you audaciously mock single girls. Aunty, you have a resident problem.

You marry a man, who provides for everyone except you and your children. Aunty off mic! You are a single parent.

We are all going through a lot or coming from a lot.

“I was loyal and genuine” – Groovy finally speaks on relationship with Beauty and Phyna

Big Brother Naija star, Groovy has finally addressed claims that he exploited relationships to advance in the show.

Recall that throughout his time in the BBNaija house, Groovy was involved in two relationships: the first with Beauty, who was eliminated in the second week, and the second with Phyna, the winner of the season.

Groovy claims that, in contrast to the story that some of his colleagues and fans have spread about him, he was genuinely kind, devoted, and true to himself when he was living in the house.

In an interview with Saturday Beats, he revealed this while stressing that it was incorrect for some of his ex-girlfriends’ fans to say that he tricked the women just because things didn’t work out.

Groovy said;

“I feel there has been a certain perception of me in the public as a result of the relationships I was in while in the house. All those talks about me not being genuine is something I want to clear up, because I actually stayed true to myself. I was caring and loyal. I did not try to deceive anybody. I believed I could win the show, without necessarily having to do any of that.

What is the essence of winning the show if I lost my mantle or damaged anybody in the process? I feel like some things work out and some things don’t work out. Saying that I am not a genuine person because everything did not work out is a wrong narrative about me. I am not what they said I am.”

The musician talked about his interactions with the other housemates during their reunion, describing it as a way for the others to blow off any unfinished business.

He said; “I feel like the reunion was a continuation of what we did in the house, and I actually saw it as an opportunity for people to bury the hatchet, and air out their grievances for one last time, and find mutual understanding.

“There were fun sides to it, and there were also fights. I felt everybody had different experiences. I went there and I said my truth, which is all I always say, because I am a genuine person. I say things as they are, and don’t try to cut corners.”

“Why I will ban the importation of human hair if I were President Tinubu” – Reno Omokri

Reno Omokri

Former presidential aide and activist, Reno Omokri, has revealed that he would ban the importation of human hair if he were the President of Nigeria.

He made this statement in a post on his Instagram page while addressing the consistent increase in the exchange rate as the Naira continues to depreciate.

According to Reno, Nigerians spend a lot on foreign products and import basic items instead of patronizing Nigerian-made products, causing the Naira to continually lose value.

Reno Omokri

He asserted that Nigeria imports a lot of human hairs and wigs, even more than books, which are paid for in foreign currency, thereby causing the government to shell out thousands of dollars.

To curb this, Reno stated that if he were the sitting president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, he would ban the importation of human hair to keep the money in the economy.

He also cited examples of Nigerians booking international flight companies and consuming foreign-made alcohol in clubs.

Read his full post below,

“The Naira is a reflection of the Nigerian. Look, the Central Bank of Nigeria just paid a billion dollars to foreign airlines. Those are airlines flying the same route as Air Peace. Do you know that if you and I, as Nigerians, had flown Air Peace instead of foreign airlines, that $1 billion would have stayed and circulated in Nigeria? And when dollars and pounds stay in Nigeria, the Naira rises in power. If they leave Nigeria, our Naira goes lower and lower.

The Central Bank had to cough up $200 million to pay for human hair, as if God did not give our women hair. This is hair that Indian, Bangladeshi, and Southeast Asian women cut and dedicate to their temples. They then barely process the hair and label them Brazilian, European and Peruvian hair, and our women rush to buy them, wear them, and shake the hair angrily to accuse Tinubu of ruining the economy. If I were Tinubu, I would ban the importation of human hair. Fact-check this, as a nation, Nigeria spends more on human hair than on books.

The Naira is now our collective responsibility. When you go to Quilox to spend #5 million on Moét, Louis XIIl Cognac, and Glenfiddich, then post your receipt on social media, you are putting downward pressure on the Naira.

Containers on the high seas coming to Nigeria with things we can produce in Nigeria are killing the Naira. There is no magic wand. If we don’t band together to stand together and buy made in Nigeria, the Naira will continue to go asunder!”

According to Kcee, the gospel album, which many had criticized, turned out to be his most streamed project to date.

“When I did the gospel [album] and many people were saying, ‘It’s over, he is actually going back to his village. Now he’s taking the music to the village.’

“Before I rebranded a few months ago, I used to wear sexy outfits. As a young girl, one would want to show one’s body. I did not know that I was being perceived as a prostitute. Meanwhile, I knew how much I was working behind the camera, running a business, and shooting adverts every day. With all of that, I was able to buy a car and house. It pained me when people insinuated that those things were bought for me by a man.

I was later in my quiet zone, thinking about why I was being judged that way, despite all my works that they people were seeing. I then started watching my videos, seeing that most times my body was exposed, with my nipples even showing. I was being goofy, but I did not know that people had been looking at something else. I have realised that if one wants to be seen as a prestigious woman, one has to dress accordingly. One cannot be showing (sensitive) parts of one’s body.”
