Nollywood actress, Lola Margaret, is currently undergoing interrogation in the hands of the police in Atlanta, Georgia. This is said to be linked to money laundering. She was reportedly arrested after a huge sum of money was wired into her account and the collection method failed..
According to an insider, she’s been doing it for a while now before she got busted 2-3 weeks ago. When she was arrested initially, she was asked to reveal the identity of the person she’s working for if she wants to be freed which she did and was released, but unfortunately for her, they came back for her and she has been in their custody for weeks now.
Chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) and Former Governor of Osun State, Chief Bisi Akande lost his wife, Omowunmi, of over 50 years to cold hands of death yesterday, July 11.
The APC Chieftain and his wife got married 51 years ago, with the marriage blessed with several children
The cause of death has not been revealed by the family.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, She died at the age of 73 at the University College Hospital, Ibadan.
Recall, In 2014, Akande said:
“For about 48 years now that I have gotten married, I am still with my wife,”
He eulogized his wife as the best woman any man could pray to have.
“In our marriage we agreed to live together no matter what the condition is. Except for when I was in the prison, we have always been together and we will always be.
“What has kept us this far is that from the beginning, we take ourselves not just as husband and wife but also as brother and sister. We do everything together; we love each other, take care of the children together and spend money together,”
Among the children of the couple are Dr. Wuraola Solabi who married in June this year in Ibadan and Osun state commissioner for health, Dr Temitope Ilori.

According to Herald Sun, A perturbed mum, Leanne Thompson, has taken to sleeping on the streets alongside her homeless drug addict son in a desperate plea to get help.
She was so worried about her 25-year-old son, Dan’s plight that she bought a sleeping bag and blanket to camp alongside him,
She makes the frequent trip from her home city of Brisbane, Australia, to Melbourne, where Dan sleeps on the streets, to watch over him and make sure he is safe.
He enjoyed a privileged upbringing, attending private school and enjoying foreign holidays each year, the Herald Sun reports.
But an addiction to synthetic cannabis turned his life upside down and he now sleeps on the streets.
Authorities in Melbourne say he has not responded to their attempts to help him, but his mum wants officials to have more powers to take addicts off the street and into rehab against their will.
The distraught mum told the 3AW Neil Mitchell programme:
“I drove down there, took a sleeping bag and blankets and some great big garbage bags to put underneath me to sit onI’m at a point where I’m just desperate to get some help for him.”
Dan’s refusal to accept help has drawn criticism from other homeless people.

Today, however the Cameroonian singer through her manager, is setting the records straight and revealed the said hacker: her page was actually taken over by an assistant yesterday. Now, they are taking legal actions against the unnamed person, while the singer herself is still in recovery.
The landlord of a building located at Plot 22, Obohia Road, Aba, Abia state, Ogbonnaya Igwe, has been arrested by police operatives attached to the Ndiegoro Police Division in the state for allegedly shooting dead his tenant, one Mrs. Ijeoma Chibuzo.
The Abia state Police Public Relations Officer, Geoffrey Ogbonna, who confirmed the arrest of the suspect, said it took the intervention of a combined security team from the Counter-Terrorism Unit and others that were deployed in Obohia to stop angry mob from setting the suspect’s building ablaze.
He said:
“it took the police over three hours to break into the suspect’s house.
“He was apprehended with the gun he allegedly used in killing the victim.
“Although investigation into the matter was still ongoing, preliminary investigation showed that the suspect and the victim were having issues bothering on finance.”
The Police Spokeman in the state added that the victim’s body was deposited in an undisclosed mortuary within the city.
The Victim and the suspect are reportedly said to be indigenes of Item in the Bende Local Government Area of the state.
Detectives attached to the Zonal Intervention Squad (ZIS), Zone 2 Police Command, Onikan, Lagos State, have foiled a N50 million bank robbery after one of them went undercover as a politician.
Suspects arrested in connection with the foiled bank robbery are Taofeek Ganiu, Sunday Adegbite, Sunday Ademuyiwa, Rufus Olasunkanmi, Alabi Kazeem, Alabi Tunde and Samuel Morakinyo.
A female member, identified simply as Ganiyat, who is believed to be the person that keeps guns for the suspects, is said to be at large.
According to the Zone 2 Police Public Relations Officer (ZPPRO), Dolapo Badmos, three suspects among the lot were first arrested, while heading to the Micro-Finance bank to carry out the operation. The three were later used as bait to catch other members of the gang. Badmos said the suspects used to operate as two different gangs, but were actually one gang.
While one operates in Ile-Ife, Osun State, the other operates in Ogun State. Items recovered from them are one AK 47 rifle, a doublebarrelled gun and ammunition.
He said:
“They were arrested on the day they planned to carry out the bank robbery. They confessed to have another gang operating at Alagbado area of Ogun State, while they operated at Ile-Ife. One of our men posed as a honourable in Ogun State, infiltrated the gang and foiled the bank robbery.
Two of our policemen infiltrated the gang with one posing as honourable, the other as PA to the honourable. The honourable said that he needed a gun to protect himself for the forthcoming election; the gang members agreed to provide it.”
One of the suspects, Adegbite said:
“We were five people that went for the micro-finance bank robbery.
We were arrested on our way to rob a micro-finance bank. It was Taofeek that brought information about the robbery to us. He told us that we would be able to snatch N50 million from the bank. It was supposed to happen as the bank officials were driving into the bank with the money.”
Adegbite disclosed that he had once been arrested for car stealing and was imprisoned.
He said:
I just returned from prison and went to attempt this foiled bank robbery. “It’s not up to two months that I came back from prison. I attempted to steal a car from where it was parked at Ibadan. We were four that went for that car stealing operation, but I was the only person arrested, others escaped. People shouted thieves, we started running and they pursued us.” Narrating his own side of the story,
Another suspect, Ganiu added:
“It was a guy called Muri that brought the information about the robbery.
He contacted me and I contacted others. Muri was introduced to me by a friend. The robbery was supposed to take place on June 24, but police arrested us that day. We didn’t know that Muri was police spy. He told us that there is a lot of money at the micro-finance bank.
He said we should go and collect it.”
He added that he had earlier been imprisoned for stealing a car. He explained that first sojourn into prison occurred after he moved a Highlander ‘Jeep’ from where it was parked. He was arrested while attempting to sell it.
He said:
“I spent three years in prison. I joined to rob the bank because I needed money. I was a lotto agent before I went to prison. We went for the bank robbery with two guns. The owner of the gun is Taiye, he is dead. I don’t know where he got the guns from.
We collected the guns from Taiye’s wife, Ganiyat. It’s Adegbite that knows Ganiyat and her late husband.”
Adegbite takes over the narration:
“Yes, I know Ganiyat through her husband, Taiye. It’s only the AK47 rifle that belongs to Taiye. When he died, Ganiyat hid it. After I returned from prison, she gave it to me. I didn’t tell her I wanted to use it for bank robbery. I told her to sell it to me. We agreed on N300,000. The idea was to pay her after the robbery. But it didn’t work out.”
A 56-year-old Nigerian pastor based in the United States (US), was reported to have bagged 15 years jail term after he was caught abusing two teenage girls in church. The clergy man who was identified as Reuben Chizor is the founder of Hope Restoration Ministries and was said to have been carrying out this devious act in his church’s basement. Chizor was said to have abused two young girls age 12 and 14-years-old but their names were not disclosed.
New York Daily News revealed that Chizor who faced trial few weeks back on July 27, 2011 took the 14-year-old girl to the church’s basement where he defiled her and on August 22, 2011 he did the same thing to the 12-year-old girl.

The former Vice Chancellor of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Anthony Elujoba, has been ordered to be remanded in Ilesha Prisons after his bail application was dismissed yesterday morning by Justice David Oladimeji of the Federal High Court in Ede, Osun State.
He is currently standing trial on a seven count charge for allegedly defrauding the institution of N1.4 billion while he was in office.
He was arrested by EFCC operatives following a petition that he committed fraud while in office.
On July 7th, he was arraigned in court by EFCC and was later sent back to EFCC detention pending the hearing of his bail application which was yesterday.
Meanwhile staff and students of the school have alleged that their former VC is being victimized by some political bigwigs.
The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, of the school had declared Monday and Tuesday lecture Free in solidarity with the former VC as they claim he committed no crime while he was in office.
After the judge dismissed his bail application, the Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities, NASU, locked down the court gate, demanding that the order by the judge be withdrawn.

A 21-year-old student of the Federal College of Education in Plateau, Nenfort Ezekiel, was found dead in her room on Monday by curious neighbors trying to find out if she was okay, after she wasn’t spotted out for classes as usual.
Nenfort’s door was forced open when she didn’t respond to greetings, and it was her lifeless body that was found.
Tyopev Terna, the Plateau Police Command’s PRO, confirmed the incident. Police, on arrival at the scene after the case was reported, rushed the girl to Pankshin General Hospital where doctors examined and confirmed her dead.
However, the hospital was said to have indicated in a report that the late student attempted to abort a pregnancy, which probably resulted to her death.
Investigations have now commenced into finding who might have been responsible for the girl’s pregnancy, while her corpse has since been taken by her family members for burial.

It is actually a wonderful feeling to know that someone graduated over the weekend with a first class in ‘nacking’ studies.

You spend such time on top of a woman in a year and you feel you’re making progress?
