The Lagos state police command have arrested one Blessing Paul, a maid for allegedly stealing her boss’ $10,000 in Gbagada and changed it to Naira at the rate of N86 per usd.
Blessing was was alleged to have forcibly opened the boss’ room with a knife and collected the money while the woman was at work.
It was gathered that the maid, who had been stealing money and other valuables from her victim’s home, handed over the foreign currencies to the house guard identified as Daniel.
The guard, it was gathered, handed the money to a security man at another residence in Gbagada, who in turn took it to a Bureau De Change (BDC) operator for the Naira equivalent.
But the operator was said to have told policemen he received only about $5,000 from Amos. Instead of giving them N360/USD, the BDC operator gave the suspects at N86 per dollar, thereby shortchanging the alleged thieves of more than N2m.
According to the command’s spokesman, Olarinde Famous-Cole, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), the woman they stole from was one Mrs. Tokunbo.
He said the maid confessed that the woman has been very kind to her, adding that she usually bought clothes and gift items for her to take to her family in Benue State.
Cole said that the BDC operator gave the suspects N870, 000 as equivalent for $5,000. He said: “We also found N400, 000 in the maid’s bank account.
Investigation revealed that money and valuables have been missing in the house, but the woman didn’t suspect until the theft of foreign currency last week.”

We’ve finally laid our hands on the picture of the man who raped a 12 year old boy to Death in Niger State.
The 12-year-old, identified only as Aminu, lost his life after he was sexually abused by one Abubakar, a tea seller in Ngwayanma, in the Kontagora area of Niger State.
Abubakar, aka Maishai, had reportedly abducted Aminu from his parents’ house sometime in March, and held him hostage in his (Abubakar’s) apartment. He was alleged to have severally had anal sex with Aminu for two weeks, until the victim fell ill.
It was gathered that a neighbour, who got wind of Aminu’s abduction, raised the alarm and reported the case to the police at the Kontagora division. While Abubakar was arrested, the boy was admitted to a hospital, where he died.
A police source said that Abubakar was arraigned in a Kontagora Chief Magistrate’s Court before the boy died, on two counts of abduction and unnatural offences, to which the defendant pleaded guilty.
“The unfortunate thing is that he was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment with a fine of N30,000, which is ridiculous. The punishment generated a lot of outcry. But it is not the police’s fault. What the police can do is to appeal the case or file a new charge, now that boy is dead,” he added.
The Niger State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Elkana James, confirmed Aminu’s death, saying that the case had been transferred to the command headquarters in Minna.
He added that the suspect would be re-arraigned on a fresh charge of culpable homicide. He said, “He is still in prison, serving the one month’s imprisonment. Once the new charge is filed, he would be reproduced to take his plea.”
Kemi Olunloyo has finally being granted bail by a Federal High Court. She was on Tuesday granted bail by a Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt.
Olunloyo, who had been remanded in Port Harcourt prison for the past one month, was granted bail in the sum of N1 million.
Recall she was previously arrested by security operatives in Ibadan over a material she published online.. Which was believed to have offended a frontline Port Harcourt-based cleric.

Debie-Rise emerged as the third runner up, TBoss was the second runner up.

TBoss won the least time in all Payporte games, while Bisola carted away the prize for having the best ONE campaign presentation for the education of the girl-child. TBoss was presented with a N500, 000 cheque and Bisola will join the ONE Campaign team in New York City for the girl-child education at the United Nations.

She said she is going to continue with her boyfriend, so me I gats to move on and wait for my own.”
Asked if he will give money to charity
“I’ll be cliche to just say I’ll do. But, honestly, I will just do what I can do. I nor dey promise say charity this, charity that. The most important one na to pay my tithe, then the charity will come naturally.
I promise to dig boreholes.”
On when he will be dropping his album
“I drop EP before I fall in. If the EP pop well, we go run some videos, then we drop album. But, album – by God’s grace – go be 2018.”
Asked what he will do first when he gets home
“First thing na thanksgiving now. I’ll go to church and thank God properly [because] before I came here, I spoke with Him and we had our agreement.”
Efe also talked about meeting his mother and his relatives, and the advise they sure will have prepared, waiting to rain on him.

Transgender, Caitlyn Jenner has undergone genital surgery in her years-long transition from male to female. In the reality star’s new memoir, The Secrets of My Life, she claims she had the “Final Surgery” in January 2017, nearly two years after she publicly announced her identity as a trans woman in an explosive interview with Diane Sawyer.
And as to why she finally decided to get rid of her penis, Caitlyn says she also got tired of tucking the damn thing in all the time.
“The surgery was a success, and I feel not only wonderful but liberated,” she writes in the new memoir, out April 25.
“So why even consider it? Because it’s just a penis. It has no special gifts or use for me other than what I have said before, the ability to take a whiz in the woods.
“I just want to have all the right parts (of a woman). I am also tired of tucking the damn thing in all the time.”
The 67-year-old former Olympic gold medalist claims she came clean so fans will stop asking about her nether regions.

A Federal High Court in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, would today, Tuesday, be ruling on the bail application of controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo.
Kemi was apprehended by security operatives and charged to court for publishing materials that were allegedly offensive to a frontline Port Harcourt-based cleric, Pastor David Ibiyeomie.
The journalist had earlier been arraigned at a magistrate’s court before the matter was transferred to the Federal High Court.
The application of her counsel, F.O. Lawal, for her bail had been opposed by the prosecution counsel, David Abuo. Abuo had told the court that in spite of her being remanded in prison, Olunloyo had been issuing threats through her Instagram page over her continued detention.
But her counsel insisted that Abuo’s argument in opposing Olunloyo’s bail fell under extraneous matters that were targeted at prejudicing the court.
However, the trial judge, Justice H.I.O. Shamah, fixed Tuesday, April 11 (today) for ruling on the bail application and continuation of hearing on the case.

An ex-commander of the deadly terrorist sect, Boko Haram, has said that he lost count of the number of people he killed before he was arrested by troops.
In an interview with The Nation in a military detention facility in Borno State, 25-year-old Joseph David said he was worried that his hands were soiled by so much blood that he might never find forgiveness with God and the relations of his victims.
He also sensationally revealed how he forcibly married two of the more than 250 girls abducted by the terror sect from a secondary school in Chibok, Borno State in April 2014.
The Christian turned Islamist fighter said the two Chibok girls were part of the benefits that accrued to his office as a Boko Haram commander.
David said that he himself was abducted by the sect from his native Mubi, Adamawa State as a 22-year-old man sometime in 2014.He said he was a student of Adamawa State Polytechnic, Yola at the time he was abducted.
Now 25 and in security custody after he was captured by soldiers during a battle with the sect, David said he was placed on a salary of N500,000 per month or its foreign equivalent.
His hefty pay afforded him the luxury of three wives. The Chibok girls came soon after he took his first wife, Faridah.
Life in Sambisa Forest seemed to be getting rosier by the day until he incurred the wrath of his ‘commander-in-chief’, Abubakar Shekau.
His offence, he said, was that he was treating his wives well while other commanders were abusing theirs. The punishment for that, he said, was Shekau’s decision to confiscate the women.
“He took the two Chibok girls from me because I treated them well,” David whose Islamic name is Ibrahim Al Hajar, said.He (Shekau) said he did not trust me. He said ,one day,I would run with them back to Nigeria.”
David is blaming those he called moles for his frosty relationship with Shekau because, according to him, he simply refused to maltreat his wives the way they were doing theirs.
The three women, he said, were still in Sambisa Forest. Expressing regrets for all the lives he took while working for the terror sect, he said:
“You know, the lives of people that I have wasted. At the end, I don’t know how it will be…on the day of judgment.
“And I regret because I was a student before Boko haram kidnapped me.
“I want to say sorry because these things that I did,I did them to save my life. If I didn’t do them, they might think I was trying to bring problem within them.
“So, I did those things smartly and logically till the time that God provided way for me to escape.”
Busty actress, Cossy Ojaikor has in a new post of hers reacted to a thank you note sent to her from Kemi Olunloyo who is in Port Harcourt prisons.
In the note, Ms Olunloyo mentions she is ‘really suffering in prison‘ following her arrest, which she alleged was orchestrated by Pastor David Ibiyeomie for publishing a letter from church member, accusing him of adultery.
In response, Cossy Ojaikor has warned a certain famous Nigerian pastor to release Kemi or be exposed.
She wrote:

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday, confirmed that two people have died in Lagos following the outbreak of Cerebro Spinal Meningitis, CSM as the death rises to 438.
The statistics released by NCDC, shows a total of 3,959 cases with 438 deaths that have been reported, with 181 laboratory-confirmed cases so far.
The statistics show that as at April 5, 2017, three cases of Meningitis were recorded in Lagos out of which two people died while the other is being treated at the hospital.
In a statement attached to the statistics, it revealed that Meningitis is currently being reported in 19 states.
‘Meningitis outbreaks are currently reported in 19 States with five States mostly affected (Zamfara, Katsina, Kebbi and Sokoto in the North-West zone and Niger in the North-Central zone of Nigeria),’
However, the agency also disclosed that reactive vaccination campaign has commenced in Zamfara State which has the highest number of death since the outbreak of the disease.
