The Spanish Government on Friday deported 11 Nigerians alleged to have committed various offences in the country.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that their deportation came less than 48 hours after United States deported 41 Nigerians for similar reasons.

NAN reports that the deportees, comprising 10 males and one female, arrived at the Hajj Camp area of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at 7:10pm.

They were received by officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency and the Lagos Airport Police Command.

The spokesperson of the command, DSP Joseph Alabi, confirmed the deportation to NAN.

According to him, they were deported for allegedly committing immigration-related offences and other criminal acts in their host country.

A young lady has been alleged to have transformed from a cat into a human being at the Ring road area of Ibadan, Oyo State.

The Head of News at Fresh 105.9 FM, Ibadan, Mr Samson Akindele, reports that the young lady pictured above is believed to have shape shifted from a cat to a human.

The cat was reportedly found inside a store of a house at Ringroad area of Ibadan on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, before it transformed to human form.

Mr Akindele shared the photos of the young lady, commenting:

“This girl was said to have transformed from a cat into a human being at dawn today. She was allegedly found as a cat in the store of a house at Ringroad area in Ibadan.

“It reportedly transformed into a girl before it could be killed. She smelled like an animal and passed heavily smelly animal faeces and urine with equally strong foul odour that could not be said to be of human origin. I’m still unable to eat as result of the choking smell that pervaded the community.

“It’s one of the most scary reportorial assignments for me. Does anyone still believe in earthly mysteries and secrets? This is strange, but could it be true?.”

Following the Zenith Bank-Fayose drama that has amused Nigerians in the last couple of days, the identity of the bank manager who knelt down before the governor has been allegedly disclosed.

A Facebook User, Dolapo Adejobi who claims to be in the know revealed that the said manager is a protege of the governor who was placed in the bank’s employment on the orders of Fayose.

“The man Kneeling down in the picture below is Bunmi Falana, a.k.a Bumshaka. Bumshaka is one of the Ayo Fayose’s boys together with Goke Olatunji [G.O.K] Fayose’s P.A in the past. Goke and Bunmi were together with Ayo Fayose during the 2003 Governorship struggle against Otunba Niyi Adebayo the then incumbent Governor.

“When Fayose emerged as the Executive Governor of the State, he appointed Goke as Personal Assistant, while Bunmi [Bumshaka] was said to inform Fayose that he preferred a career job, hence he was fixed with Zenith Bank via the capacity of Ayo Fayose, and for his banking purposes.

“He was brought in to handle all his banking transactions till 2006 when Mr. Fayose was chased out of Ekiti State Government House following his impeachment. After this regrettable rein of Mr. Fayose in 2006, Bunmi Falana [Bumshaka] was transferred by Zenith Bank to Ogun State until 2014 when he was expectedly transferred back to Ekiti at the commencement of the June 21, 2014 Governorship Election Campaigns in the State as requested by Gov. Fayose.

“This transfer request and the promotion of Bunmi as the Branch Manager are part of the conditions Gov. Fayose gave Zenith Bank before he could have confidence in any transaction with the Bank. About the ongoing drama titled, Ayo Fayose’s Election fund by Zenith Bank; Fayose strongly felt disappointed in his boy [Bumshaka] in which the said boy realize and thereby resolved to beg his boss who by his chances rise to his present status in the Banking job.

“To the notice of the General Public, Bunmi Falana a.k.a Bumshaka begs Gov. Fayose within his individual capacity, and NOT on behalf of the Zenith Bank. The way Bunmi Falana dramatised, by kneeling down to beg Gov. Fayose in the presence of the Zenith Bank Executives was strange, but left with no choice than to be short of words.”

A lecturer in the Theatre Arts Department of the College of Education Oju in Benue state, Godwin Abuul, has been allegedly murdered by his wife, name withheld, in connivance with her siblings over alleged extra marital affairs.

Saturday Vanguard gathered that Abdul who went missing about two weeks ago in Gboko was killed by his murderers who also dumped his remains in River Katsina/Ala.

According to a family source who craved anonymity, the deceased two weeks ago went missing in Gboko after returning from Oju where he lectured at the state owned College of Education. Narrating the story he said:

“Goddy used to lecture at the College of Education in Oju. He travels weekly from here in Gboko to Oju to lecture after which he returns to Gboko to spend his weekend with his wife and two children. Unfortunately, two weeks ago he returned from Oju and said he was traveling to Katsina/Ala on a private visit, that was the last we heard of him.

His disappearance was reported to the Police who since then have been combing the entire state in search of his whereabouts. Luckily, just two days ago, the cloth he wore the last day anybody saw him was found with a young man who was immediately arrested by the Police in Gboko.

Upon interrogation the young man confessed to the Police how the missing lecturer was allegedly killed by his wife in connivance with her siblings.

His confession triggered the arrest of several persons including the wife of the deceased and mother of his two children and all those mentioned in the saga, by the Police in Gboko, though the matter has been transferred to the Command Headquarters in Makurdi for further investigations.”

Continuing, the source said:

“already his wife has confessed all she knew about the matter to the Police. We learned that she alleged that her brothers beat her husband up because he was involved in extra marital affairs, but not with the intention to kill him.

After killing him, they allegedly dumped his body in River Katsina/Ala and also went ahead to sell his Honda car to an innocent buyer for the sum of N650,000 and of that sum, the wife of the murdered lecturer was given the sum of N400, 000 as her share of the proceed.

As I speak with you, the Police and local divers are still combing River Katsina/Ala to locate the remains of the Goddy (the deceased) but we very much doubt if his remains would be seen because the fishes must have feasted on it.”

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Assistant Superintendent, ASP, Moses Yamu who confirmed the incident said he was yet to get full details of the matter. Yamu said,

“yes I know of the matter but I’m yet to get the full details of the matter from the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, because the suspects are yet to arrive Makurdi. At this moment I cannot confirm that the wife of the deceased was behind his murder until the details are made available to me.”

So yeserday, a total of 157 students of the Covenant University, Ota, Ogun, on Friday bagged First Class degrees at its 2015/2016 convocation.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Charles Ayo, disclosed this during the 11th Convocation Ceremony and Conferment of Honourary Doctorate Degrees, and presentation of prizes in Ota.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that a total of 1495 students graduated this academic session.

They comprised 157 first class honours, 708-second class upper honours, 513-second class lower, 118 in third class and 154 post graduate students.

Just before the end of the ceremony in the University chapel, a mother of one of the graduands, stormed out of the hall with some other women trying to pacify her.

A KFB eye witness at the scene sent in this report thus:

“She was very angry, the other women were trying to pacify her. She was saying ”Upon all the money we spent, all he could finish with was a 2:1, he must not return to the house. I am taking back all the food i brought, imagine, he was supposed to finish with a first class. Those ones that finished with first class, do they have two heads? He must not return home o, he should better just go and eat that result, imagine, all the money we spent from when he started in this school…” the other women tried pacifying her and led her away to avoid a scene as onlookers were already gathering to know what was going on. “

Aisha Buhari has been accused of abusing the Yoruba culture of respect in relation to the paramount leader of Oyo State, in the person of Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III who is 77 years old.

Aisha Buhari who was expected to respectfully bow or kneel before the Alaafin stretched out her hand for a handshake with the highly revered leader which he politely declined by making a fist.

This action has attracted a hot debate on social media.

Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III (born 15 October 1938) is the Alaafin, or traditional ruler, of the Yoruba state of Oyo and righful heir to the throne of its historic empire.

Lamidi’s father, the Alaafin of Oyo Oba Adeyemi II Adeniran, was deposed and exiled in 1954 for sympathizing with the National Council of Nigerian Citizens (NCNC).

The man, Lekan Shonde, who allegedly killed his wife, Ronke in Lagos state, on Friday appeared before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in the state.

Lekan who was arraigned on a one-count charge of murder had appeared before the court on May 20 and was remanded in prison custody after the case was adjourned to June 24 (today) for further hearing.

When Shonde’s appeared in court today, the prosecutor, Insp. Chinalu Uwadione, informed the court that he had received a copy of the legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions, DPPs when the case was mentioned.

But the counsel to Shonde, Mr. I. B. Mohammed, responding to Uwadione’s submission, told the court that he was yet to be served his own copy of the advice and would like to apply for it.

The prosecutor further stated that the offence contravenes Section 221 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011 which prescribes a death sentence for convicts.

The Chief Magistrate, Oluwayemisi Adelaja, ordered that Shonde should remain in prison custody and adjourned the case to July 8 for mention.

It will be recalled that the 51-year-old was alleged to have murdered his wife, Ronke Shonde, 37, on May 5 at their residence on 3, Tiemo Street, Egbeda area of Lagos state.
