“When God gives you a gift, it is a responsibility to use it to bless and inspire others.
@wizkidayo a perfect example of a great talent with so much humility.Acoustic night was a night with amazing pure talents. Good bye Nigeria, see you soon.”
Josleyn is not the first person to praise Wizkid this week, the hitmaker was also hyped by Wonderland rapper, Jidenna.

But the actress, in a recent interview, slammed those attacking her to let her be because she is old enough to decide on what is good for her.
She told Goldmyne TV, “I am expecting my third child and I’m a married person so I don’t think people should ask me why. I understand the ethics of spacing kids but I’m a married person and an adult, I can decide the way I want to live my life.
So yes, I’m having my third baby very soon. Thank you so much for the good wishes, thank you so much for the hate speeches, but save some of the hate speeches because the fourth will soon come to round it up then you can show your anger then but for now it’s good news let’s celebrate.”

The publication of the Biography of the living Legend, songwriter and performer Innocent 2Face Idibia was announced by NET NewPaper Nigeria Limited, Owners of THENETNG, Newsroom and NECLive.
‘A Very Good Bad guy: The Story Of Innocent 2Face Idibia’ is first of its kind for a Nigerian pop artiste and indeed, for a contemporary Nigerian musician. The project, done in commemoration of the musician’s 40th birthday, is part of the NET book series, which kicked off in April 2015.
The book’s presentation is planned to coincide with Idibia’s 40th birthday celebrations. He clocks 40 on September 18, 2015
Idibia’s biography, edited by NET publisher and 2face’s former publicist Ayeni Adekunle Samuel, is titled ‘A Very Good Bad guy: The Story Of Innocent 2Face Idibia.’
The book contains a detailed interview with 2face, lyrics and discography, views from some of those who have shaped his life and career, an insider’s journey through his life and times, as well as a collection of some of the most important articles, reviews, features and news about him since 2004.
Ayeni Adekunle Samuel, speaking about A Very Good Bad Guy commented, ‘Apart from being a fantastic musician and a wonderful person, 2Face is also a personal friend and source of inspiration; so few things give me as much joy as being able to give this gentleman some of the recognition he deserves on the occasion of his 40th birthday. These are important projects Nigeria must do for our cultural posterity. We must tell our stories and document our history. NET is delighted to compile the life stories of this cultural icon of our times so that our children and our children’s children can read it and learn. And this is the first of many to come’.
A Very Good Bad Guy: The Story of Innocent 2Face Idibia is the second in the NET Books series after the Chris Ihidero collection, Wanderings of a Rapidly Degenerating Mind.
NET has been instrumental in the growth and development of the Nigerian entertainment industry through the organisation of the annual Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive) which brings together all entertainment industry stakeholders to discuss mutual challenges and achievements and to set agenda for the year ahead.
Speaking about the book, 2Face himself says ‘It’s a really good feeling knowing that all these years that I’ve been surviving in this industry, someone has been taking note you know…compiling my story so that on an occasion like this, they will release it for the world to see. I’m really feeling the love but importantly I hope those coming behind will read and learn from my story.’
Born in Jos, Plateau State, 2Face Idibia was raised in Makurdi, Benue State where he attended Demonstration Primary School and Saint Gabriel’s secondary school. After a stint at the Institute of Management & Technology (IMT) Enugu, he dropped out to pursue a music career in Lagos in 1997.
In the same year, he teamed up with Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo aka Blackface to form Plantashun Boyz, which was later joined by Chibuzor Orji aka Faze. After achieving success with the band, 2Face left Plantashun Boyz in 2004 to embark on a successful solo career which has spawned six critically acclaimed studio albums and several local and international awards.
Scores of angry workers of La Casera Company Plc staged a protest, on Monday, in Lagos after about 700 workers received their sack letters, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported.
The workers said they are protesting because the company’s management responded to their efforts at unionism by firing all of them.
The company, however, described the protest as an invasion of its premises by ‘hoodlums.’
NAN reported that the crisis began after the workers arrived at the company premises in Amuwo Odofin Industrial Estate, Mile 2, Lagos, and found the gate locked against them and a notice of disengagement pasted at the entrance.
The notice, dated September 14 and addressed to all members of staff, stated that “as a result of the unwarranted breaking-in and invasion of our business premises on September 11, we cannot guarantee the well-being of our employees from hired hoodlums and their collaborators.
Aggrieved Worker
“As a result of this unprovoked act of vandalism, we are unable to continue operations under this circumstance. Unfortunately, we regret to inform all our staff of their immediate disengagement.”
The workers, under the aegis of the National Union of Food, Beverage and Tobacco Employees (NUFBTE), condemned the act, noting that some of them had worked for between five and 15 years.
Mr Mike Olarenwaju, Head of Education Department in NUFBTE, who spoke for the workers, said that for 12 years, the company denied workers the right to be unionised.
Olarenwaju said that when an in-house union was about to be inaugurated, the management of the company sacked the chairman, which made the NUFBTE officials to visit the company on Friday, September 11 to address the workers.
“We were surprised today that the company locked the gate and sacked the workers. Meanwhile, the case between the workers and the company over unionisation is currently at the National Industrial Court,” he said.
Olanrewaju urged the government to intervene in issues of unfair labour practices being perpetrated by foreign companies.
He said that until the workers were re-absorbed, the union would continue to picket the company.
Mr Idowu Adelakun, the state Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), told NAN that the act of calling labour officials hoodlums was wrong and vowed that labour would not allow the company to function until the matter was resolved.
Lacasera is a beverage company owned by Indians which started operations in Nigeria in 2000.
When contacted, the Human Resources Manager of the company, identified as Chief Otemewo, told NAN on phone that he was not aware of the crisis and promised to call back when he obtained details of the sack. (NAN)
“Love and loyalty; two strong themes that form the foundation of any true and lasting love melt into one in this mid-tempo ballad “GBORIDURO” by singer, rapper REMINISCE.
REMINISCE, who himself has been with the same woman for 13 years, pleads with his ladylove to stay, to persevere, to stick with him through thick and thin, to tell how smitten he is by the object of his affection.
While taunting their detractors to “go and call police” Reminisce promises to do whatever it takes to make her happy, but admonishes that if she betrays him, she would have cause to regret.
Gboriduro is the tale of a man who is not ashamed to show off the woman who has shown dedication to him through the tough times, and teaches the listener that in love and in relationships #LoyaltyWins.
The brothers and sisters of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria under the Leadership of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky witnessed the reverting to Islam of a 16 year old girl.
The girl was formerly a Christian and went to the venue where they were holding a program in Abuja and expressed her interest to convert to Islam.
In an Interviewed with Pointer Express correspondent in Abuja shortly after her conversion to Islam Ifesinachi Anih said her decision was in line with her belief and conviction in Islam as the true religion of Almighty Allah SWT and the only way mankind will get salvation.
Ifesinachi who is SS2 student of Apo Resettlement Secondary School in Apo District of Abuja, hails from Okano local Government of Enugu State in Eastern Nigeria, she explained that she notified her parent the intention of conversion to Islam but they disagreed with her later on she made up her mind to choose the true religion.
On that faithful day around 9:00 o’clock in the morning the lady took a taxi from Apo and proceeded to National Mosque via Area 1, and along the road she saw two Muslim Sisters in their Islamic attire(HIJAB).
The driver carrying her stopped and introduced her to the Sisters; so they went together to the venue of aThanks Giving program in honor of Hurras (Guards ) of the Islamic Movement Abuja Zone, who, became second during parade competition that took place in Zaria three month ago.
The lady has chosen Amatullahi as her new Islamic name and appealed to other Muslims faithful to remain committed to the services of Islam in order to benefit from Allah’s blessing.
Mal Abubakar Abu-Sumayyah the Amir of Abuja who supervised the conversion to Islam has expressed his highest gratitude to Almighty Allah SWT for making the process easier and prayed for the protection of her faith.
I thank God I found Dabota. I love her so badly. She plays the role of a wife to me. She is also like a girlfriend in that she knows how to spice up our marriage. She makes me feel young. She is my all in all. That’s why I spoil her silly. Most of the time she appears more matured than I am. She is always advising me. That is why I consult her on every step I take. She encourages me.
She is like the blood tonic to me and my business. Very soon the world will see the multi-billion business I will dedicate to her. She is always advising me. She once told me something I found very very deep and very philosophical. She said your mother and father will leave you and die. Your brother and sister will leave you and move on. Your children will leave you and marry but your wife will not. She will grow old with you. The good thing is that she is also in love with me. As an international businessman, I have come to see that this is true. History has shown this to me. She likens marriage to business. It will have its ups and downs”
A 21 year old Tabitha Adamu, who is one of the women freed from the Boko Haram sect’s camp and handed over to the Borno State Government last week, revealed that the Chibok girls had turned to Boko Haram fighters.
Tabitha, who is expectant for one of the sect’s commanders who forcibly married her, said she mingled with the girls at various times in the sect’s camp.
According to Tabitha, she was taken from Bayan Dutse in Gwoza Local Government Area, when the insurgents invaded her village.
She said:
“They killed my father and brother. They took me along with my mother but at some point we were separated. Since then, I’ve not set my eyes on my mother. When he (Abu Kabir, my Boko Haram husband), wanted to marry me, he gave the women who were taking care of us N5,000 as my bride price.
“Before the marriage, I was asked to convert to Islam. I did so because many who refused were killed and they gave me a name (Samira). I answered the name but I know my true name is my real name. When we were rescued I told the soldiers that my name is Tabitha.
“They asked me if I am one of the wives of the Boko Haram and I told them my story. They felt for me and they treated me well.
“Many people asked me since we were liberated, particularly about the pregnancy. I don’t know the right answer to give because I actually do not know what to do. It has happened. I don’t know what the authorities would do about it but I think it is too late to abort it. But my prayer is that I give birth safely.”
In what seems to be a very early morning snapshot, “Megbele” crooner, Omawumi Megbele, who put to be d few months ago shared this hot photo of her post baby bod.
I wonder what it is women do these days to get rid of their pregnancy body so quickly! Hmph.
Kanye West has reportedly made some NYFW designers furious after his last-minute decision to unveil his latest Yeezy Season 2 collection on the same day these designers fixed their show. Kanye will unveil his collection this Wednesday, September 16th.
Two unsuspecting designers, Anne Bowen and Naeem Khan, who were scheduled to present their collections at the same time are not taking the news likely.
Anne Bowen who is supposed to show her street collection “Nomad VII” is now frantic that her event will be in the shadows.
Bowen told FOX411.
“I am completely devastated, angered and bewildered! This affects us financially, attendance-wise and in all ways,” “Our media will go to zero if we don’t completely move our show time and there are no other time slots that day. So this severely adversely affects us.”
Bowen said her team reached out to Kanye’s camp to see if some kind of arrangement could be made, but nobody got back to them.
“In a perfect world he would move his show to a time slot where there are no other designers showing and let us have our show when we planned it on the 16th at noon but I don’t see him doing that,”
“It’s not just our spotlight,I am stunned and sick about this. We have planned for a year to launch this collection and worked tirelessly and worked with the CFDA [Council of Fashion Designers] to be respectful of other designers in our showtime selection.”“Kanye knows he is a media sensation and it is just not ethical to do this. It’s like we are David and he is Goliath. We have put our heart and soul into our show, and should not be stepped on like this.”
She has reportedly filed a complaint with the CFDA Fashion Calendar
Well, this is new for me… and I’m just as sure that it is for you too. A Male bridesmaid? Lol.
Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, in preparation for her white wedding to her heart rub, Oladunni Churchill, has just revealed why she chose her popular stylist, Jeremiah Ogbodo AKA Swanky Jerry as her chief bridesmaid.
When she found out on the internet that it was possible to have a male bridesmaid, she wrote:
“swankyjerry get ready…Can’t get over this find Super proud of my bestie for understanding me the way he does and standing for & by me all year everyday..Good friends are hard to find,if u find one keep them and define your relationship with success and love not gossip and backbiting or envying others..”

Nollywood veteran actor turned politician, who was recently spotted with Nollywood sensational actress,Ini Edo, Richard Mofe Damijo, RMD, seems to be coming back into the Social media spotlight.
The never aging gentleman shared these photos of his dapper looking self as he rocks a bowler hat on Sunday, 13th of September.
Lol. She reminds me of Davido though, when he exclaimed “Take It, Take It!” Lol. Miss Tourism Uganda, as seen in this photo, screamed in fright when a very huge snake was placed around her shoulders during one of the stages of the pageant show.
You can obviously see that she’s really frightened though. She doesn’t even care if she’s been watched on live tv or nah. She just wants the thing off!
Lol. Can you pull a stunt like this without flinching ?
Even since he became a father, so many things seem to have changed with the pop star.Chris Brown, for the past few months have been all about his blessings, one of which is his daughter, Royalty.
“I’m so thankful to be able to perform and inspire the world. I really think back LIKE , ” damn, I went to fucking jail and had a number 1 single in the country” this goes to show you that you can make it after mistakes. It’s about love forgiveness and just working on yourself. I speak for the young black males who never had a silver spoon and understanding the struggle and the need to take care of family. Life isn’t about being perfect. It’s about fucking up and understanding the mistakes you make don’t define you. Stand for something or fall for anything. #WEARENOTTHOSEKIDS #OHB”
I’m not a car dealer or into cars like that, but, this, to me looks like a 2015 Mercedez G-Wagon. Am i right ?
Popular duo, P-Square‘s elder brother and also manager, Jude “Engees” Okoye who owns his own Music record label, Northside. Inc. (a label which German Juice singer, Cynthia Morgan is signed to) has just purchased a brand new G-Wagon G63.
He shared the photo of his new cruise and also hinted that he got a new home.
Each time a photo of this actress emerges or she shares her own photos, she gives dudes more reason to drool after her. To be candid though, since the time I’ve known Genevieve Nnaji, she doesn’t look like she’s aged a bit!
She doesn’t even seem like she’ll be leaving the Nollywood spotlight anytime soon and that! We are happy about!
She shared this photo of her Sabbath day’s look and as always, she’s stunning!
Can anyone remember the time when Genevieve released this track about “Fist”, like “I will show my fist or something like that”. Lol.
Just like her mama, her drama seems to be never ending. The baby has been talked about on Social Media since the time of her birth more than most celebrities in Hollywood. Thanks to the influence of her old folks.
Her mum, who is pregnant with her second baby, Kim Kardashian, shared this photo of the fashionista looking clownish. What’s actually blissful is the fact that we’re watching her grow. Lol.
She was earlier spotted with her nanny as they arrived New York city to meet with her folks for the fashion week. Checkout the new hairdo she debuted.
We just can’t get enough of this youngster, can we?
The family look like they are living in the early 60s. Quite a classic look which rather unique in this 21st century.
Sister to Queen Bey, Solange Knowles is seen here with her family, her Husband, Alan Ferguson and her son, Daniel Julez Smith Jr as they stepped out for an event during the weekend.
A female thief who reportedly swallowed a $277k diamond she stole from a jewel fair was busted thanks to an X-ray scan.
39 year old Jiang Xulian, to the Thai police immediately after her crime was exposed by the scan, which showed the jewel lodged in her large intestine.

A taxi allegedly dived into a river along Calabar-Ikom highway last Tuesday afternoon and was pulled out with three bloated corpses.
Eyewitnesses reveal that the taxi was traveling from Obubra in the central district of the state to Calabar with four commuters along with the driver but at Adim, the taxi came close to a head-on collision with a speeding truck from Calabar which left its lane.
It was learned that to avoid a collision with the truck, the driver swerved the car off the road and plunged into the river.
A source who gave his name as Ekong, told Vanguard that one of the commuters, a 21-year-old girl who was traveling with her boyfriend but miraculously came out of the water was too dazed and temporarily deaf because of the impact of the crash and could not relate to the divers which side of the river the taxi plunged.
“The girl was too dazed and had become deaf and so could not explain which side of the river the taxi plunged into as it was difficult to make sense of what she was saying apart from saying my boyfriend is inside. So divers searched for the taxi on the wrong side of the river for days,”
He said the divers searched for the taxi several miles on the right side of the river where they thought the taxi might have plunged into until Saturday when they decided to search the left side of the river.
“Apparently, when the taxi came head-on with the truck, the driver decided to swerve the car to the left side of the road since the truck had occupied the other lane.‘’It was on Saturday evening, after a fruitless search on the other side, that they decided to go to the other side of the river and that was where they located the taxi under the bridge and pulled it out,” he said.
According to a source, three bodies were pulled out with the taxi, while the fourth person could not be located.
A Syrian refugee who was tripped by a Hungarian camerawoman as he held his terrified son in his arms says he cannot forgive her.
Osama Abdel-Muhsen Alghadab was reportedly trying to cross the Hungarian-Serbian border when he was tripped by Petra Laszlo, causing him to fall on top of his seven-year-old, Zaid.
The father of four has spoken to MailOnline from Germany, one day after completing their treacherous 12-day journey from Turkey, which included boarding a rubber dingy to reach the Greek island of Kos.
Mr Alghadab, 52, originally from war-torn Deir ez-Zor in Syria, and his son suffered bruises when they were tripped as they were attempting to escape the crush of a large crowd of refugees.
‘There were thousands of people and they were holding us there until a coach came to take us to the border,’ he said. ‘It was a very small area with a huge crowd.’People started to lose patience and wanted to walk the 10km to the border – the police were standing there to stop people going.’It was chaotic, people started to push. I didn’t see where it came from, I didn’t know if it was a camerawoman or a policeman. I just felt myself falling to the ground.’
Mr Alghadab, who has since seen the footage of the incident and another clip of Ms Laszlo (who has since been fired) kicking a young girl, added:
‘How can I forgive her?’
She has since apologised and claimed ‘something snapped’ inside her.
Mr Alghadab suffered bruising on his chin when the Hungarian camerawoman tripped him. Zaid had bruises on his leg and chin. Later in the evening, Zaid was vomiting as a result of the shock, his father said.
There have been strong indications that the Department of State Service, (DSS) has completed a screening process for some of the ministerial nominees to make up the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Vanguard reports that among the list of those who were said to have been screened by the DSS are, former presidential candidate, Prof. Pat Utomi, Femi Falana (SAN), a former Governor of Osun State, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, a former finance commissioner in Lagos State, Mr. Wale Edun and Former Managing Director of Nigerian Breweries Limited, Mr. Festus Odimegwu.
Others in the list are, Abubakar Malami (SAN), former Chief of Army, Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazu (retd.); an former chief executive of the Federal Inland Revenue, Mrs. Ifueko Omoigui-Okaru;.
It was gathered from a source very close to the presidency who pleaded anonymity that the aforementioned nominees had appeared before the DSS for their screening at the weekend.
However, the nominees are yet to give any confirmation on the supposed screening which may not be far-fetched from the fact that appointments of this nature are treated cautiously in the official circle.
It was gathered that no fewer than 20 nominees had been so far screened by the DSS operatives since the exercise started. Recall that the President had indicated in a chat with journalists in Accra, Ghana, on Monday that he would keep his promise of announcing names of his ministers this month.
It was also revealed that the screening process by the DSS involved conducting background checks on the careers of the nominees and operatives were also checking for records of the nominees with anti-graft and security agencies.
