The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Adeboye, has revealed he was probed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) after he acquired a private jet.
The revered clergyman, while speaking during a sermon at the churchās headquarters, said officials of the anti-graft agency came after him following the purchase of the private jet.

āIf you want to travel by commercial, you have to wait for their timetable. If I have to wait for their timetable, I wonāt be able to do what God wants me to do. I mean to give you an example: I finished in our European Convention in Spain one night, 33 nations gathered together; as soon as I dismissed the program around 12 midnight, I head straight to the Airport to travel over to Hong Kong.
āI arrived in Hong Kong the following day, did what I needed to do and then moved on to Singapore. I arrived in Singapore, did what I needed to do and then headed for Australia. I got to Australia, did what I needed to do, I headed to Papua New Guinea.
āI needed to touch all those places, minister to them, dedicate the churches, ordain pastors and be back before the next Holy Ghost Service. Thereās no way I can do that by the commercial plane. Thatās what led to the jet.”

ChiefPriest, a close friend of the DMW boss, made this disclosure in a post via his Instagram page on Friday morning, March 10.

Laju Iren, the wife of a Nigerian clergyman, Pastor Emmanuel Iren, has expressed her displeasure with ladies who leave lustful comments under her husband’s photo.
The mother of two had in an Instagram post shared a photo of her husband and revealed how much she misses him because he was on a mission trip. She also gushed over him and said she can’t wait for him to return home.

Apparently, some ladies went under the post to leave suggestive comments about her husband, who is the lead pastor of Celebration Church International (CCI).
Infuriated by the remarks, Laju Iren, a filmmaker and author, took to Twitter to warn ladies to respect her boundaries and stop leaving such comments under her husband or any married man’s post.
In a series of tweets, she wrote,
“Posted my husbandās picture, and I said I miss you my lover. One lady commented, āOur loverā another one said āme too.ā So grateful my mother taught me boundaries because what on earth is the lack of discretion in this generation? >>>
Itās not everything that comes to mind that youāll say. Shop in the book of Proverbs for common sense. Some people will post their dadās pics online and Christian girls will say: āCan your mummy fight?ā Whatās that? Like what on earth is that really?
Grateful to be married to a good man, grateful to be secure in my marriage. But as a Pastor, Iām not doing ladies a favour if I donāt mention things like this. Even if you donāt mean what you say, it says a whole lot about you! About the kind of person you are.
You donāt mean anything by it, but you donāt see anything wrong with it, and thatās the problem. People without boundaries easily cross lines because they have none. Like a gold ring in a pigās snout is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion. Proverbs 11:22.
Reassess yourself, and if you wonāt thatās your business, but kindly donāt bring that energy around me or mine. My angels are many and they donāt play cute. Thanks.”

One of the survivors of the horrific accident involving a moving train and a Lagos State government staff bus on Thursday, March 9, has recounted the events leading up to the collision.
The survivor, simply identified as Titilayo, revealed that they begged the bus driver to wait for the train to pass, but he refused, which led to the crash.

Speaking to journalists, she said,
āThe incident happened around 7.15am. When we got to the intersection at PWD in Ikeja, the driver continued driving. Passengers inside the bus, including myself, begged him to wait for the train to pass before crossing, but he didnāt listen.
āMidway, just before he could finish crossing the rail tracks, the accident happened. Many of us were rushed here, while five others were taken to Gbagada General Hospital.ā

A Nigerian-born music manager, identified as Emmanuel Odunlami, has been gruesomely murdered in the United Kingdom.
It was gathered that Odunlami was stabbed to death in the UK after celebrating his birthday with a “designer watch” worth up to Ā£300,000.
A London court, the Old Bailey, recently heard that Odunlami was ambushed by three robbers after leaving the Haz restaurant near St Paulās Cathedral in the City of London, where he held a party to celebrate his birthday on May 1, 2022.
The robbers were said to have been informed by Kavindu Hettiarachchi, a security operator, that Odunlami was wearing a Patek Philippe Nautilus watch worth between £90,000 and £300,000 if genuine.
During the court session, Duncan Atkinson KC, the prosecutor, said it is believed that the watch “may not have been genuine.” He added that the robbers, however, treated the item as though it were genuine.
āSadly, as it was to turn out, he liked expensive brand watches. At the time when he was fatally attacked, he was wearing a Patek Philippe Nautilus watch. If real, such a watch could be worth anything in a range from Ā£90,000 to Ā£300,000. It is believed the deceasedās watch may not have been genuine, but was treated as genuine by those who sought to take it.ā the prosecutor said.
Prosecutor Duncan Atkinson KC said that Hettiarachchi was a vital member of the security team hired by the eventās organizer, Playhxuse, for the private ticketed brunch and afterparty with DJ.
āIt was part of his role to protect the safety of those, like Mr Odunlami, who was attending the event. In fact he did the opposite,ā he said.
The court heard that after the event, Hettiarachchi was seen on camera calling Louis Vandross, who is believed to be one of the robbers.
It was said that Vandrose and Jordell Menzies were then driven by Quincy Ffrench in a white Mercedes with altered number plates from north-west London.
āThe evidence shows that Vandrose, Menzies and Ffrench were setting off in a car with a disguised registration in order to carry out a robbery, and their target was at the Haz restaurant where Hettiarachchi was working, and to which by phone he had summoned them.” the prosecutor said.
The security operator was said to have filmed the victim and his āhigh-valueā watch and then appeared to type something into his phone.
āThe prosecution case is that he was making those other defendants aware of Mr Odunlami and his watch, in order that they could rob him of that apparently very valuable item,ā Atkinson said.

“I thought you get sense before Dotun. Go to surulere and verify,” he wrote.

A Nigerian man, simply identified as Fola, has taken to micro-blogging platform, Twitter, to share his traumatic experience at the hands of his former landlord.
According to Fola, the landlord is a creepy person who spies on his tenants by going into the ceiling to peep at them in their private moments.
Fola said that the man is known for acting suspiciously, as he has a pattern of always evicting tenants after six months, and he was not an exemption.
He claimed the landlord issued him a quit notice six months after he moved in and spent millions to renovate the apartment to his taste.
He described his time at the apartment as the worst experience of his life.
His words,
“I went through one of the worst experiences of my life between August 2022 and January 2023⦠After moving into a new space in February 2022, spending millions to renovate and set up the space.
The Landlord issued a quit notice exactly 6 months after. Claiming his family was coming back from the US so theyāll need the space. Bruhhhh, I was so devastated cos I thought I had seen my āhome/perfect workspaceā.
Fast forward to after moving out, the bastard is listing the house for twice the price I paid. Guys, if anybody you know wants to take this house please do not let them, Iāll give you reasons not to.
Apparently landlord sends out tenants exactly 6 months after moving in. He threatened me a couple times with weapons. He is a stalker, enters the roof at random times to peep at tenants. He harassed my visitors countless times ( I had to stop inviting people over)
He started looking for ways to frustrate me, started sending cryptic messages to my family and friends. Randomly walks naked around the house (even during the day) The list goes on honestly. Iām not the type that talks about personal stuff online, only to close friends. Hence why I never said anything about it, instead focus on getting myself a new space to ensure the safety and well-being of my siblings and My Colleagues.
My mental health was in shambles, I woke up many days with serious anxiety and panic attacks⦠Cos amidst all of that I still had to keep my business running, maintain a good home and push out content.ā
