Several Nigerian celebrities have gone online to react to the emergence of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the president-elect of Nigeria.

This comes after INEC announced that the APC Chieftain won the most votes in the election to become the next president of Nigeria.

He amassed 35.3% of the total votes, defeating his closest rivals – Atiku Abubakar of the People Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party’s Peter Obi.

Reacting to the news, some celebrities took to their respective social media page to share their sentiment about Tinubu’s win.

While some were enthused and congratulated the former Lagos state governor, others were discontented and expressed their disapproval with his victory.

A while back, actress Eniola Badmus reacted after she came under fire for sharing the “swearing-in aso-ebi” of the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Tinubu’s popular logo was printed on the African print fabric known as Kampala.

Sharing the photo on her Instagram story, Eniola, who seemed very confident that her preferred candidate would emerge winner, asked her followers to hit her up to get theirs.

“Swearing-in Kampala is ready. holla if you want.” She wrote.

Nollywood actress, Chioma Chukwuka-Akpotha, has reacted after she was called out by her colleague, Georgina Onuoha, for ‘hypocrisy’.

Recall that Georgina recently berated Chioma for only speaking up against political injustice when she was directly affected.

This comes after Chioma cried out after she and other voters were attacked by thugs at her polling unit during the February 25 presidential election.

In reaction, Georgina reminded Chioma of how she advised her to stop using her page to call out the rigging and violence experienced in some parts of the country during the 2019 elections.

According to her, Chioma slid into her DM to urge her to stop stirring tension with her posts and instead protect her brand.

Georgina also chided Chioma for only now speaking up against election violence when she became a victim, and called her a hypocrite.

She also insinuated that Chioma was paid to campaign and protect the image of a candidate in the last election.

Reacting to Georgina’s call out, Chioma dared her to share proof that she was paid to support a politician otherwise she would file a lawsuit against her.

Nigerian woman dies one year after death of her identical twin sister

Family and friends of a pair of identical twins, Taye Elizabeth and Kehinde Rebecca, who passed away one year apart, have taken to social media to mourn their demise.

According to viral reports, one of the twins, Taye died two days ago, one year after the death of her twin sister, Kehinde Rebecca.

Taking to Facebook, a friend of the deceased sisters wrote,

“Kai, just as much as I hate to post that a friend like a sister Omotaye Elizabeth Kehinde, just left us today to meet with her twin sister Kehinde Rebecca Kehinde who left a year ago, we will Miss you alot, but who are we to question God almighty, who does has he so wishes, we love you both but God love you more, sun reee ooo”.

Another user, Abiodun Janet, said Taye died after a brief illness.

“Hmmmmm what a life, few weeks ago I was searching for a style when I discovered this pix in my gallery, I was like God! May Kehinde Soul continue to rest in peace, unknown to me that I will soon repost this same pix for the death of our beloved sister Taye. Popular Nollywood actress, Doris Ogala, has taken to social media to call out her colleague, Uchenna Nnanna.

The drama started after Uchenna took to social media to rejoice over APGA’s Enyinnaya Abaribe’s win over Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of the PDP in the Abia South senatorial election before the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared it inconclusive.

Doris Ogala, who appears to be a supporter of Ikpeazu, dragged her colleagues, Joyce Kalu and Uchenna Nnanna, for supporting Abaribe.

During an Instagram live session, Doris Ogala exposed some of Uchenna Nnanna’s deeds, including how she has allegedly been pushing May Yul-Edochie to leave her husband, Yul Edochie.

Doris tagged Uchenna as a gossip who meddles in other people’s marital problems.

She went on to advise May Edochie not to leave her husband, stating that Yul would not be the first to have a child with another woman or take a second wife.

Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus has reacted to the victory of her choice candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the presidential election.

INEC declared Tinubu the winner of the February 25 election after he secured the highest number of votes in the polls today following days of result collation.

Eniola Badmus, who is a staunch supporter of Tinubu and remained unshaken by the criticisms she received for campaigning for him, took to her Instagram page to celebrate the president-elect on his victory.

Oludayo Sookunbi, a Nigerian living abroad, has offered to help a woman who was attacked by thugs during the presidential election last Saturday relocate abroad.

Recall that the woman identified as Bina Jennifer Efidi, who, like many other Nigerians, was out to exercise her civic responsibility last Saturday, was attacked while waiting to vote at her polling unit in Surulere, Lagos State.

Despite being injured, Jennifer returned to the polling unit with a plastered face to vote. Photos of her voting with a plastered face made the rounds, and many commended her and dubbed her the hero of democracy.

Abroad-based Nigerian man, Oludayo Sokunbi, was among those who were moved by Jennifer’s resilience.

Taking to his Twitter handle, he announced plans to sponsor her relocation abroad.

“Remember this woman that was injured on Saturday? I just had a video call with her. She just left the hospital and she is getting better. I will make sure she leaves Nigeria 🇳🇬 after this election.” He wrote.

A video of the President-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, dancing as he celebrates his victory in the 2023 presidential election has gone viral.

Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress (APC) was declared winner by INEC Chairman Mahmood Yakubu in the early hours of Wednesday, March 1 at the National Collation Center in Abuja.

In the trending video, the President-elect, who arrived at the APC PCC with his wife, Remi Tinubu, and Vice, Kashim Shettima, for his acceptance speech as the President-elect, is seen dancing vigorously as he mounts the stage.

Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has opined that the 2023 presidential election says a lot about the power of the Christian bloc vote.

In a post shared via his Instagram page, Reno asserted that even though Christians heavily supported Peter Obi and voted for him in the election, he didn’t win which speaks numbers about the influence of Christians in Nigeria.

According to him, despite the fact that the votes of Nigerian Muslims were split between three Muslim candidates, Bola Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar, and Rabiu Kwankwanso, one of them still won the election.

Reno further advised Christians not to play the religion card in future elections because it won’t serve them well.

In the early hours of today, March 1, the Independent National Electoral Commission declared the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, as the president-elect.

Tinubu, a former Lagos State governor, was declared the president-elect after he polled 8,794,726 votes to win the 2023 presidential election.

Moments after the announcement, King West boasted on his Instagram page about “them” owning Lagos and Nigeria.

Big Brother Africa star, Tayo Faniran revealed that he turned down acting chances in Nollywood because he was earning more money overseas.

He claimed that after the reality TV show finished, he could have easily gotten a role in a Nigerian film, but he chose to stick with his more profitable modeling job in South Africa.

However, Tayo claimed that because he was not a resident of the nation, he was not given as much exposure as they do for their citizens.

He said;

“Nollywood was there for me after I won BBA. However, I was living in South Africa then and working as a model, so I was earning more money. The entertainment industry in South Africa was doing well, and Nollywood was not attractive to me at that time. Hence I didn’t pursue it then.
Unfortunately, the same South Africa I wanted badly did not project me the way they would have projected their citizen. Nigeria is my home. At a point, I felt I was not getting the things I needed to build my acting career.”

However, Tayo stated that he is currently interested in pursuing an acting profession in Nigeria and that he would give extra performances.

Nigerian comedian and ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, Adedayo Aderombi, popularly known as Dee-One, has shared that he does not believe there is anything wrong with male skit makers dressing like women.

He asserted that they are using their creativity, and it was unfair to criticize them for doing so.

DeeOne claimed that since some people found them amusing, it was also no one’s business how content producers choose to practice their art.

He said;

“I don’t think dressing like a woman is wrong. Also, it is not right for anybody to tell another person how to express their creativity. There will be people who find that person funny. Pastor Adeboye recounted how a Nigerian military boss felt he owned the nation and went about murdering people as he pleased. He detailed Biblical passages to show how God is greater than earthly leaders. He added that God forever removed him when the military leader’s cup was filled.

The RCCG General Overseer also cautioned those in positions of authority not to let it get to their minds because God is ultimately in control.

He wrote;

“There are many great leaders in this world. However, there is Someone called the Most High, the Almighty (Psalm 91:1). He is higher than the highest (Ecclesiastes 5:8). Isaiah 66:1 says heaven is His throne and the earth is His footstool. According to Revelation 19:16, He is the King of kings. Put in modern terms, He is the President of all the presidents in the world.
The Most High God rules in the affairs of men (Daniel 4:25). In Daniel 4:34-35, the king of the country considered as the superpower in the world at that time confessed that the dominion of the Most High is forever.
Thus, once in a while, when one earthly leader or the other is beginning to feel big and in control, God teaches the fellow a lesson and shows the whole world that He is still in control. God demonstrated through the Coronavirus pandemic that despite the sophistication of the leaders of the world, they are powerless without Him and so they must surrender to His Lordship.
Proverbs 21:1 says He is the one who controls the heart of kings like rivers of water. When an earthly king is beginning to prove stubborn and refuses to bow to His Lordship, He can deal with the fellow in one of two ways. The first is by shifting something in the king’s brain so that he would begin to act like an animal. After a while, when he has learnt his lesson and really seen who is in charge, God would then restore his sound mind and He may even restore his throne too.
This is what happened to Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 4:30-37. The second way that the Most High can deal with such a king is to harden his heart and then destroy him, using him as an example to the whole world that He is still sovereign. This is what happened to Pharaoh in Exodus 15:4-6.
Something similar happened in Nigeria a few years ago when a military head of state was acting as if he owned the country, killing people and doing as he pleased. When his cup became full, God removed him permanently.
If you find yourself in a leadership position, don’t let it get into your head; always remember God is the one truly in charge.

God is still ruling in the affairs of men and His dominion is forever.”

Popular Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham, has responded to a critic who warned her about the consequences of her political action.

Recall that the filmmaker has been receiving heavy backlash from netizens for declaring her love and support for APC Presidential Candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Taking to her Twitter page, a user identified as Erica stated that no one would watch any movie Toyin released anymore because of her choice.

In her words;

The actress refuted this claim and revealed that she was not made by social media so the threats from netizens to cancel her had no effect on her.

Controversial media personality, Solomon Buchi, has berated popular music executive, Don Jazzy, for not being vocal about the election.

Solomon, in a series of tweets, tackled Don Jazzy for being quick to use his platform to promote half-naked girls, but keeping mute about the 2023 election.

According to Solomon, eventhough he has huge respect for the Mavin Records Boss, he believes he should have done more to encourage people to participate in the electoral process, rather than going radio silent.

The social media commentator tweeted,

“I like Don Jazzy’s personality and what he’s done in the Nigerian secular music space. However, how are you so swift to promote young girls on IG displaying their bodies, always shaking bum and boobs. But not same energy towards the elections.

I’m not saying you must support PO, but at least ginger the youths, the same way you promote young girls that have lost shame on Instagram. It’s exasperating to see us major on minors and minor on majors.

The Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, has urged his supporters to stay calm and not stage any protest.

Following the presidential election on Saturday, February 25, there has been reports of malpractices and result manipulation in different states.

Amid the controversy, Peter Obi has appealed to his supporters to remain calm and not revolt against the ‘compromised’ election result, but instead persistently demand that the electoral body, INEC, does the right thing.

The former governor of Anambra state stated this in a video shared online by a supporter who bumped into him at Asaba airport, Delta state, today February 28.

He added that Nigerians are currently fighting against an established system that has been there for years, so it was never going going to be easy.

“All we are asking for is good governance. Let the government care for the poor people,” he added.

Meanwhile, Nigerians are patiently waiting for the result of the election being collated in Abuja.

Bianca Ojukwu, the widow of former Biafra president Chukuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, has taken a swipe at the former first lady of Anambra state, Ebele Obiano, over her loss at the senatorial election.

Mrs Obiano, who contested under the umbrella of the All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA), lost the senatorial bid to Labour Party Candidate, Tony Nwoye, during the election of Saturday, February 25.

Following her defeat, Bianca, who once had a public fight with Mrs Obiano during the inauguration ceremony of Anambra governor, Charles Soludo, took to Facebook to throw shades at her.

She stated that karma is always served to those who deserve it and it’s always served on time. She also mocked her for coveting a position that she prevented others from getting.

Popular Nigerian singer, Burna Boy, has lampooned a critic who called out his political apathy during the 2023 general election.

The critic had berated him after he explained that he was not vocal about the election because he does not believe in any of the three major candidates.

Burna Boy also stated that he didn’t publicly campaign for any candidate because he doesn’t want to be held accountable if the candidate fails in office.

Apparently, the critic was extremely disappointed in the self-styled ‘Odogwu’ for his political stance, and chided him for being mute about an important event in Nigeria despite making profit from his activism songs.

According to the critic, Burna Boy’s brand does not match his actions in real life because he has never spoken up for the people.

Responding, Burna Body slid into the critic’s DM to lambaste him for attacking him. He stated that the the songs he made about Nigeria have not been profitable to him.

The Grammy award winner also claimed that he has positively contributed more to Nigeria than the 3 presidential candidates so he has every right to shut his critics up.

A young woman has stirred reactions after she called her biological mother out on social media.

In a video she shared on TikTok, the lady expressed resentment towards her biological mother, stating that she regretted that she was the one who birthed her.

She reiterated that nothing can change her mind about her mother, and she regrets ever knowing her.

She went as far as labelling her mother as a wicked witch.

Although she did not explain why she dislikes her mother so much, she prayed that karma would eventually catch up with her for everything she has done.

“How do I tell this woman that I regret ever knowing her, not to talk more of you wicked witch being my mom. I hate you for life and nothing can ever change my hatred for you, you call yourself a woman of God but can’t act accordingly to the things of God. Nigerians have cried out online after a photo of a lady was found on the INEC portal instead of the presidential election results from a polling unit in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti state.

A Nigerian man who raised the alarm on social media shared video evidence to corroborate his claim.

In the video, he claimed to have visited the portal for the results gathered from a polling unit in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti state, after the presidential elections conducted last Saturday, February 25, and was shocked to see the photo of a lady presumed to be an INEC ad hoc official instead.

A number of Nigerians, while reacting to the now-viral clip, also claimed to have witnessed the same.

He emphasized that numerous examples of collaboration between INEC and the security forces to thwart the will of the people could be found and that INEC’s rules for the conduct of the elections were flagrantly broken. King West, the son of former NURTW chairman MC Oluomo, has got people talking with his congratulatory message to his dad, a staunch supporter of the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.

While the results of the presidential elections that held on Saturday, February 25, are being collated at the National Collation Center in Abuja, and APC’s Tinubu appears to be taking an early lead, King West shared a video of his father, Oluomo, and other APC supporters celebrating.

In his caption, West congratulated his dad and made reference to the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi’s victory in Lagos State.

According to West, the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, sacrificed Lagos so that he could win at the national level.

“Congrats Dad, You all sacrificed Lagos to win Nigeria”, he wrote.

His caption, however, caused a stir as Nigerians made different inferences from it.
