A young man has heaped praise on his girlfriend of two years after she took a loan to buy him a car.

The man who uses the car for ride-hailing business is moved by the gesture and tells whoever cares to listen about the lengths his woman went to for him.

He recently shared the thoughtful act with a lady who boarded his car and revealed his girlfriend lost her job a few weeks after she took the loan.

He says he’s now had to take on other jobs to enable him to support his girlfriend.

Sharing the story online, a Twitter user identified as Abena wrote,

“My Bolt driver says his GF of 2yrs took a loan to buy him the car, a few weeks before she lost her job. So he’s gone back to teaching, drives and sells perfumes in his car to help her pay it back. He’s been praising her for more than 5 mins. I like that”.

The tale was however met with mixed reactions; while some commended the lady for expressing her love in that manner, others pointed out that it was too much of a risk for a woman to take for a boyfriend.

Popular Nollywood actress, Destiny Etiko has vowed not to adopt another child again amid drama with her adopted daughter, Chinenye Eucharia.

It was earlier reported that there seems to be an ongoing feud between Destiny and Chinenye, as they have not been seen together, nor have they posted pictures together on their respective social media pages.

Although Chinenye recently denied the rumours during a Facebook live session, this did not seem to convince their fans, who have continued to call for the pair to reconcile. However, Destiny gave a cryptic response to the calls, refusing to explain what transpired.

Well, the thespian has seemingly given a hint to what happened between her and Chinenye while responding to a follower’s comment.

The curvaceous actress had taken to her Instagram page to share a video of star-struck female fans who scurried towards her when they sighted her in public. They ladies were very excited to see Destiny and hugged her tightly through her car window.

Reacting, a follower pointed how the actress didn’t wait to familiarize with the girls, and instead zoomed off after exchanging pleasantries with them, asserting that she doesn’t want to adopt another child again after her experience with Chinenye.

Reacting, Destiny announced her decision not to adopt again, citing that many less privileged children are disrespectful and ingrates.

Popular Nollywood actress and show host, Nancy Isime, has built a six-bedroom home for her parents.

The screen diva took to her social media page to reveal that building a house for her parents was one of her lifelong dreams and she was excited to fulfill it.

She shared photographs of the completely furnished six-bedroom property and said that a housewarming party had been held, which in a manner served as another part of her 31st birthday celebration.

She wrote;

“Yesterday, One of my Biggest Dreams came to Fruition
I ushered my Daddy and Family into their fully completed, finished, furnished 6 bedroom home and it gladdened my heart so much.
I’ve been on this for years and I’m glad I could finally complete and hand the keys over.
We also had a house warming party with neighbors, friends and relatives in attendance which also doubled as the part 2 of my 31st birthday celebration.
Watching everyone congratulate my daddy with hugs and cheers made me grin from ear to ear.
When I asked how he felt, he said “This has added many more years to my life” I. amongst many other heartwarming words.
This is also a way to thank my Dad for letting his 17 year old daughter leave home daily to chase her dreams of becoming a fully independent woman.
At 19, I told him I was ready to live on my own and even if he had fears, he let me do me with trust that I won’t bring shame to the family.
13 years later, I’m happy I get to also fulfill one of his Life Long Dreams.
I’ve prayed, envisioned and manifested this day into reality and I couldn’t be more grateful to God.
I’ve deliberated posting this for a bit but I happen to be followed by many young girls/persons who can relate to my story so much and are probably ina stage in their lives where they’re wondering if all the hustle will pay off.
Listen to me, It will. Not overnight, but it will.

Another woman dead from injuries sustained at Asake’s concert.

A second woman identified as Gabrielle Hutchinson has died after being injured in a stampede at Asake’s concert at Brixton Academy.

Gabrielle, aged 23, died in the hospital in the early hours of Monday, December 19, 2022.

Hutchinson was one of the event’s hired security providers that evening.

Rebecca Ikumelo, 33, was the first woman who died after sustaining injuries at the concert. She died on Saturday morning, Dec. 17.

A third woman aged 21 remains in the hospital fighting for her life.

According to the Metropolitan Police, all three ladies were in the foyer of the building in south London when they were gravely hurt in the crush.

Eight people were taken to hospital with injuries following the incident on Thursday night, Dec. 15.

According to the Police, they were alerted to allegations of a “huge number of individuals attempting to force access to the premises,” where Afrobeat musician Asake was playing.

The musician was forced to abandon the gig after performing three songs and released a statement saying his “heart is with those who were injured”.

Metropolitan Police Chief Superintendent Colin Wingrove said;

“It is devastating news that a second person has lost their life following the events on Thursday.

I wish to express my heartfelt condolences to Gabrielle’s family at this unimaginably difficult time.”

A man identified as Chief Gabriel Osonwa Kalu received the strangest tribute from his children at his funeral.

The dead man’s family did not hesitate to speak ill of the dead and publicly state their reservations against him as he was laid to rest in Ohafia, Abia State.

In the funeral brochure for the late Chief, aka Ete Ossy, his family made it clear that he fell short of their expectations.

Papaya Ex created a buzz with her much anticipated party which took place in Lagos yesterday, December 18 as planned.

Recall that few weeks ago the brand influencer delivered the invitation package for the event to her guests in a grand style.

Bobrisky who was not invited to the party because of his issue with Papaya Ex was unimpressed by all the glitz and glam the party presented and went on his Snapchat to mock his colleague about her party.

According to him, the invited guests did not attend the event as a video popped up with empty chairs on the event ground.

He further stated that Papaya should have invited important personalities to her event and not skit makers.

Court dissolves Paul Okoye and Anita’s marriage

Nigeria singer Paul Okoye has officially been granted a divorce from his ex-wife, Anita Okoye by an Abuja High Court sitting in Maitama.

Anita Okoye filed for divorce after 8 years of marriage in August 2021 and cited five major reasons for her decision to divorce Paul which included; cheating, being an absent parent, fraud, and difficult experiences.

She requested a settlement of $20,000 monthly and a number of Paul’s houses.

Earlier on, in her divorce petition filed by her lawyer, Ojonimi Akpe and Okutepa J.S, Anita had claimed that she donated N10 million as an arrangement with Paul that she would be allocated space in the mall he had recently constructed in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.

She did, however, accuse Paul Okoye of defrauding her of the agreement.

The petition reads in part;

“That I know as a fact that the Petitioner founded a company called TannkCo in 2019.
That the Petitioner and the Respondent agreed to build a mall where TannkCo would have its main offices, and the Petitioner contributed N10,000,000.00 (Ten Million Naira) for the purchase of the land and the building of the mall.
That I know as a fact that the Respondent, upon completion of the mall, reneged on the agreement and failed to give TannkCo a space in the mall.”

Anita, who attended court sessions via Zoom because she now resides in the United States, was unable to substantiate all of the grounds in her petition to the court. As a result, she decided to withdraw all her claims and opted to settle.

The court, in its judgment, only granted joint custody of the children to the parties in the ruling on the case on October 20, 2022.

The petitioner (Anita) was, however, not given any money in the form of alimony or settlement.

The lady, identified as Michelle Erima, took to TikTok to share a video montage of how she looked before and after she got pregnant.

In the video, Michele had a slender model figure before she fell pregnant, but after she got pregnant, her nose doubled in size, her skin tone became darker, and she looked bigger with her baby bump.

According to the frustrated mom, she was forced to buy a projector after her son destroyed two TV sets because she didn’t want him to break another one.

Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has reacted after his uncle, Osun State governor Ademola Adeleke, hailed him for a thrilling performance at the 2022 World Cup closing ceremony.

Davido performed at the closing ceremony of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar on Sunday, December 18. It was his first public performance since the tragic demise of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

Freeze took to his Instagram page to make this claim on Sunday, December 19, while responding to a follower who asked if Muslims will go to heaven.

The 46-year-old asserted that it’s not only Christians who will be in heaven, as Muslims, Buddhists, Shintoists, and other religions will also make heaven.

According to him, the requirement for making heaven is not Christianity but love, and pastors have succeeded in lying to their congregants about the category of people that will enter the kingdom of heaven.

Freeze wrote, “WILL MUSLIMS MAKE HEAVEN??
Someone asked me: “Daddy Freeze will Muslims make heaven? I said: Why not? “what about Buddhists, Shintoists and Atheist?” I answered: “It’s Possible, he said how?? I said the criteria for making Heaven is LOVE, NOT Christianity! ~ FRZ””

He added in the caption, “Many pastors are trying to sell a Iie to sustain their ministries and to maintain power, monopoly and control. Christ was NOT a Christian, neither did he teach Christianity; He taught us love!”

His post has sparked mixed reactions online, as some agreed with his stance while others disagreed with him.

Veteran actress Empress Njamah has been in the news after she cried out online about being blackmailed by a “scammer” who came into her life disguised as a lover.

In an emotional clip, Empress narrated her heartbreaking ordeal at the hands of this fake lover, including how he proposed to her under duress and forced her to make a video showing off the engagement ring, which he shared on her Instagram page.

She narrated how the supposed fiancé came into her life when she was vulnerable and claimed to love her, which she fell for, but unknown to her, he had an ulterior motive.

World-renowned megastar singer, Rihanna has for the first time shared photos and a video of her son seven months after his birth.

The Barbadian singer, who welcomed her first child with her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky, on May 13, took to TikTok to share a video of her son as her first-ever post on the social media platform, and it has garnered millions of views and likes since it was posted on Saturday, December 17.

In the 45-second clip captioned “Hacked”, Rihanna’s son is seen smiling and giggling as he attempts to grab his mom’s phone and his mom was heard saying, “You’re trying to get mommy’s phone?”.

The 34-year-old billionaire singer and businesswoman has, however, not shared any other details about her son, including his name.

Netizens have trooped to different social media platforms to share their thoughts on his looks, with many calling him cute.

Popular Lagos businessman, Ikechukwu Ogbonna, better known as IVD, has taken to social media to remember his late wife, Bimbo.

Recall that IVD’s wife, Bimbo, died under controversial circumstances in October 2022. The mother of five died from severe burn injuries she sustained after being incinerated during a fight with her husband in their home.

Taking to his Instagram stories on Sunday evening, December 18, he shared a throwback video of himself and his late wife and said he misses her.

In other news, in reaction to Stephen “tWitch” Boss’ death by suicide, popular filmmaker, Tyler Perry, has spoken openly about his own attempt at suicide.

tWitch, a former DJ for the Ellen DeGeneres Show and a contestant on “So You Think You Can Dance,” passed away on Wednesday, December 14, at the age of 40.

Speaking in a video shared via his Instagram page on Thursday, December 15, Tyler Perry expressed shock at the sudden demise of tWitch.

“The World Lost a Bright Light. I’ve only met him a couple of times,” Perry said. “He was always full of life, it seemed like, such a light.”

He added that owing to tWitch’s death, he feels compelled to share a message to those who are going through a hard time.

Reflecting on “dark” times he has experienced in his own life, Perry said, “I just want to take you back to a time in my life when I tried to commit suicide, a couple of times, because it was so dark I didn’t think it would get any better. I had endured so much pain, so much abuse, sexual abuse, it was all so hard to just move through that I thought the only way to make this better was to end my life.”

He further urged those going through a difficult time to talk to someone and seek help.

“I know it may seem like there’s no hope, but please reach out to someone … call, ask for help if you are dealing with anything that is emotionally taking you to a place where you think you want to end your life.”

Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, performed at the closing ceremony of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar on Sunday, December 18.

It was Davido’s first public performance since the tragic demise of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, who died in a drowning incident on October 31, 2022.

The superstar singer was supposed to perform at the opening ceremony a few weeks ago but couldn’t honor the invitation because of the death of his son.

In a historic moment at the closing ceremony, Davido joined the duo of Aisha and Trinidad Cardona to perform ‘Better Together’ (Hayya Hayya), which is the first track off the 2022 World Cup official soundtrack.

They performed the song before the kick-off of the final match between Argentina and France, which saw the former clinch victory and emerge the world cup champion.

In other news, a Nigerian man, identified simply as Olufemi, has advised men to breakup with their girlfriend if she posts her photos on social media frequently.

The man with handle @Luckyflows1 stated that a woman who always posts her pictures online is indirectly passing a message to her boyfriend that she’s available to other men.

According to him, women crave for attention and validation so if she’s constantly sharing her pictures on social media, she’s seeking for the attention of other men.

Controversial Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has received knocks from his colleagues and fans over his comment on his first wife, May’s reaction to his second marriage.

In a lengthy Instagram post on Sunday, the father of five declared himself a proud polygamist and justified his decision to marry a second wife after 17 years of marriage to his first wife, May.

Recall that Yul Edochie unveiled actress Judy Austin as his second wife in April 2022.

Yul claimed in his write-up that he was directed by God to be a polygamist in order to give his son a proper identity, and he backed up his claim with a bible verse, Exodus 21:10.

Speaking on May’s reaction to his marriage to Judy, Yul noted that she was not happy about it, but it turned out to be a blessing for her.

“Therefore polygamy came with many blessings. Blessings for me, blessings for my wife Queen May to calm her down cos as a human being she’ll definitely not be happy about it, and blessings for my wife Judy as well.” He wrote in part.

His post didn’t sit well with his fans and some of his colleagues, and they took to the comment section to express their displeasure.

Reacting, actress, Peggy Ovire wrote, “You had too do this on Sunday morning”.

Media personality, Daddy Freeze wrote,

“My brother there is nothing wrong with polygamy. It is scriptural like you noted. Abraham, David and Solomon were all polygamists. Polygamy can’t stop you from being a man of God. However, the only issue is that May @mayyuledochie is NOT happy. Traditionally (with regards to Nigerian culture) and scripturally, the first wife must consent. The lovebirds, who lost their son together, Ifeanyi, in October 2022, and have been off social media ever since, recently made a comeback following Davido’s performance at the World Cup 2022 closing ceremony in Qatar.

Davido, in his first social media post since the tragic incident, shared photos of Chioma getting him ready for the event.

A video of the couple sharing a kiss during a hangout with a group of people also surfaced online and elicited warm reactions.
