Iyabo Ojo responds after being called out for insulting customer over N7K pepper soup (Video)

Famous Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, has reacted after being called out by Isaac Fayose, over the poor state of a pepper soup acquired at her restaurant.

The brother to the former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, had called out the actress for selling him a plate of pepper soup that cost N7K and was filled with bones.

The actress went on Instagram live to give a detailed explanation of her side of the story and her reasons for her actions.

She also explained all the steps she and her management took to correct the situation and appease the customer.

According to her, she was not angry he spoke to Toyin Lawani first because that was a way to get the message across to her immediately, she was only pissed off because he posted the video on social media after reporting her to Tiannah.

Iyabo explained that she canceled the complementary dish she told her staff to serve him because had already gone on social media to ruin her business reputation without giving her an opportunity to fix the issue.

A young Nigerian lady has berated popular Nigerian singer, 2Baba over his birthday message to his wife, Annie Idibia.

Annie, 2Baba’s wife, turned a year older on Sunday, November 13, and the singer took to his Instagram page to celebrate her.

The African Queen crooner shared a photo of his wife and wished her a happy birthday in a terse post, which many social media users opined was not befitting.

“Birthday Blessings my Queen. Nothing do u.” 2Baba captioned Annie’s photo.

Reacting, a Nigerian lady simply identified as Chiamaka on Twitter, noted that if she had been in Annie’s position, she would have taken offense in 2Baba’s post.

“If my husband wishes me happy birthday like this we will have problems 😑😑”, she wrote.

The lady’s comment further stirred varying reactions on the microblogging platform. While some saw nothing wrong in the post, others stated that the singer should have penned a more endearing message to his wife. Read some comments as you scroll.

Popular Nollywood actor, Freddie Leonard’s fiancée, actress Peggy Ovire, has lashed out at an Instagram follower who left an unflattering comment about her relationship with the actor on her page.

The drama started when Ovie, who recently went public with her relationship with the actor, shared a poster of her fiancé’s new movie, which had him in a romantic pose with another lady on set.

A fan who appeared concerned with the movie poster then took to the post’s comments to warn Peggy that she hopes that Leonard and the actress in the poster do not end up like their colleagues, Yul Edochie and Judy Austin.

“Eh! Peggy, observers are worried. I hope this movie will not end like Judy and Yul oo”, the follower wrote.

Peggy, who was not having it, slammed the fan and warned her not to make such comments on her page in the future or she would be blocked.

Man kidnaps 8-year-old stepson, demands N182,000 ransom from wife

An 8-year-old boy who was abducted by his stepfather has been rescued by detectives in Kenya and reunited with his distraught mother.

The suspect identified as Nemwel Ondari, kidnapped the boy on Saturday morning, November 12, after a domestic disagreement with his wife, Everline Nandera.

Ondari was apprehended following a report filed at Embakasi police station at around 9:30am, by the boy’s worried mother.

According to a statement issued by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations- DCI, the suspect demanded and threatened to kill the boy with a kitchen knife if the wife didn’t act fast.

“Nandera told detectives that she had left their home in Embakasi’s Tel Aviv area at the crack of dawn, headed for Muthurwa market,” the statement read.

However, upon coming back at around 9:20am, she found her husband and son missing. A note had been left behind by the husband, Nemwel Ondari, 32, demanding for a ransom of Sh50,000, for the release of the boy.

In the note, the man warned his wife that he would kill the boy using a kitchen knife which he had carried, should she try any monkey business.

Immediately the woman filled her report at Embakasi police station, detectives from the elite Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau (CRIB) based at DCI Nairobi area were assembled and a manhunt for the suspect was launched.

The detectives assisted by their Embakasi counterparts traced the suspect and arrested him at the NMS Green Park matatu terminus off Haile Sellasie avenue, a few hours later.

The detectives established that the couple had a heated argument last night and after Everline left early in the morning for Muthurwa to fend for her family, the man packed his clothes and a kitchen knife in two bags, before taking off with the\ boy.

The detectives pounced on the man at around 4pm, as he eagerly waited for the ransom to be deposited into his Mpesa account.

Mother and child were reunited and the man was escorted to Embakasi police station, where he is cooling his heels awaiting arraignment.

Bandits demand N10m ransom to release corpse of man they killed after collecting N3m in Kaduna

Bandits reportedly demanded N10 million ransom for the corpse of late Obadiah Ibrahim, a victim kidnapped a couple of weeks back in Kaduna State.

The deceased’s brother, Kefas Obadiah revealed in an interview during the weekend, that the bandits had collected over N3 million ransom earlier but refused to release the victim who was kidnapped in October 2022.

He said,

“My brother’s name is Obadiah Ibrahim, he was kidnapped in early October first week in Sabon Gaya on his way back from Abuja to Kaduna,” he narrated.

“Although I wasn’t the one communicating with the bandits. There was a negotiator. Earlier the bandits demanded N200 million and later settled for N3 million plus.

“They said we should bring the money. After giving them the ransom they told us the money was for their foodstuffs which got finished, and that we should go and bring N15 million.

“They later came down to N5 million and three motorbikes and later collected one bike. After collecting a bike we didn’t hear from them again. We try to communicate with them but unfortunately, we were unable.

“Then on Thursday when the negotiator called them, they said our brother is dead. We thought they were joking.

“They said their own men were arrested by police, tied to a tree and killed. So they vented their anger too on our brother because of what the police did to their brother.

According to them, Ibrahim had died on Monday and they informed us on Thursday. We asked for his corpse and they said we should pay them N10m if we want his corpse as they’ll not work for us free of charge”

“The bandits also said, ‘That “Allah”, meaning, to God who made them, if we bring the money they’ll release the corpse in three days,”

Kanye West has stated that he believes the death of his mother, Donda West, was part of a large conspiracy for “Hollywood” to “control” and “traumatize” him, saying she was ‘sacrificed’.

A Nigerian man has expressed concern that his wife may cheat on him under the right circumstance because of a statement she made.

The man going by the handle King of Guam said that his wife had admitted she would cheat on him if she found a man who could give her 10 million Naira.

He claimed that when she spoke up, they were discussing some of his married buddies who have affairs with other men’s spouses, and while his wife criticized the women who committed adultery, she indicated that she would definitely do so for an amount.

He was shocked by her response because he had always trusted her to remain faithful and after hearing what was in her mind, he was too stunned and in disbelief to respond.

In his words;

“I was discussing with my wife yesterday about some married guys I know who were dating other people’s wife.

Late popular traditional healer Fatai Yusuf, also known as Oko Oloyun, left behind a widow named Silifat Wura who recently remarried.


According to reports, barely three years after the death of her first husband, the mother of six has wed a new husband, Aremu Abiola.

On November 12, 2022, the couple hosted a spectacular wedding ceremony in Lagos.

Oko Oloyun was murdered on January 23, 2020, when unidentified gunmen opened fire on his two-car convoy on the Abeokuta-Iseyin road in the Oyo state.

Nigerian musician, Chinko Ekun has narrated how he went from singing “no more insufficient funds” to constantly experiencing insufficient funds.

The singer who shared his testimony in a viral video with Pastor Bolaji of Harvesters International gave details of how his life went downhill after he lost his record deal.


According to the ‘Able God crooner’, his career went smoothly until he had an issue with his record label boss and had to leave.

Chinko explained how he was homeless and had to squat with his friend, Aloma on the island after losing everything.

He expressed how sad and depressed he felt because he lost his job, house, car, and relationship and contemplated suicide.

In his words ;

“One day I woke up around 6 am and went to the beach and thought about jumping into it because I’m not the type to ask around for help because I always try to be contented. I challenged God and told him I had never worshipped anything else; if I did now, it would be his fault. Three months after that encounter, my life changed. I was able to record some songs, collect my royalties, get back on my feet and get my own place and even buy myself the exact car I lost.”

Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has stirred reactions online after he called out his Portharcourt fans for spraying him with fake money.
Portable slams
The Zazu Zeh star, who had a show in Port Harcourt, took to social media to lament the type of currency he was lavished with during the concert.

In the video he shared, he called the woman who was counting the money, a maths set, and told his friends to trash the money.

Netizens reacted to the video and praised Portable for tearing the cash while others called out citizens of PH city for showing the artiste fake love.

The perpetrator was apprehended when the boy’s frightened mother reported the incident to the Embakasi police station at around 9:30 am.

28-year-old man dies while exercising at the gym

A 28-year-old man has reportedly died while exercising at the gym on Friday, November 11.

According to reality TV star Niyi, who shared the news on Twitter, the man had high blood pressure and had been warned by his doctor against engaging in strenuous activities, but he ignored the warning.

Niyi revealed that the young man not only disregarded his doctor’s warning but also refused to take his medication.

Sharing the story on Twitter, the former Big Brother Naija housemate urged gym enthusiasts to get examined by a doctor before hitting the gym.

“Guys … if you are going to be gyming. Please try and get your heart tested by a Doctor..Blood pressure and those medical tests. A guy just died at the gym today during exercise. He was 28. Apparently he had high blood pressure and not taking meds and his Doc warned him”, Niyi wrote on Twitter.

In other news, Ghanaian singer and socialite, Mona Montrage popularly known as Hajia4real, has reportedly been arrested for alleged fraud in the UK.

She was nabbed on Friday, November 11, in connection with an $8 million shady deal that occurred during her stay in the United States.

According to a Twitter blogger, Olele Salvador, Haija4real was arrested through the joint effort of US and UK police as she has been on a red list in the US for sometime now.

Hajia4real, who travelled to the UK in October for the Ghana Music Awards 2022, has reportedly now been picked up by the police in UK for questioning.

A young Nigerian man identified as Ibukun has shared what he described as a real culture shock from studying abroad.


The young man expressed shock at spending the afternoon with his lecturer and posted a picture they took together.

According to him, having lunch with his lecturer was a strange and unbelievable occurrence, and he claimed that Nigeria had damaged him.

In his words,

>“Am I dreaming? I had lunch with my professor😫😫😫. It still feels weird! Nigeria has damaged me. He was the one to make the gesture if he can have lunch with us, I mean😫😫😫😫😫, and we were discussing. I mean? It’s hard to believe. This is the real culture shock!”

Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, is reportedly set to marry a second wife.

The singer, who tied the knot with his first wife, Bewaji, during their son’s naming ceremony in June, has reportedly brought his expectant lover, simply identified as Keji, to live with him and Bewaji, and their wedding ceremony will take place soon.

Although it’s said that Bewaji initially protested after she discovered that Portable who she had been with before his rise to fame was marrying another wife, the two women now seem to be getting along, as the new wife-to-be took to her Instagram page a few days ago to shower praise and declare her love for the singer’s first wife, Bewaji.

“The name of the girl is ‘Keji’, and he has been dating her for about eight months. They met between January and February at the party of a guy nicknamed, ‘Ogo Hookup’, in Agege, Lagos.

He actually plans to marry her. The girl is the fourth girl in his life. He also has another lady called Asabi, and she is pregnant as well. Bewaji got angry because she had been with Portable before he became popular.” The source said.

Reality tv star, Sheggz has shared a remembrance post for his grandfather, Mr Olusegun Olusemo.

The ex-BBNaija participant took to his Instagram page to walk down memory lane and celebrate the former accountant general of the federation who passed on a day before his birthday.

Sheggz hailed his grandpa as the genuine Mr. Ikoyi and posted a picture of him.

Nigeria’s leading female talking drummer, Aralola Olumuyiwa a.k.a Ara has revealed how everything went awry for her shortly after gaining fame.

The drummer claims that this occurred years after a family friend told her about a dream he had about her.


Ara admitted that when nothing continued to go her way, she began to battle God. She also talked about spending over a year in a single hotel room.

She went on to say that once she cried out to God and asked him what he wanted her to do, things started to get better.

In her words;

“In 1999, a photographer to a family friend who was very close to us came running to my place one afternoon. Then I was still in my parent’s house at Ajao estate, he lived in Mafoluku. I was sleeping. My mother told them to wake me and that photo wants to see me. That he is from Bayelsa. I went. He said, Lola, I dey dream o. I dream and I see you this afternoon. God bring your picture come do am like this for my face, say go and look for my daughter, tell her to serve me, to seek me everything she wants, I will give her. If she does not serve me, if she does not seek me, she will see paper and call it money on the floor. And it happened to me. I thought it was a joke.
All of a sudden everything stopped working. People that would call for shows all of a sudden, everything stopped. Shows that I get paid N3m is what people would be pricing for N100,000. To cut the long story short, I became homeless, I couldn’t afford to feed, couldn’t pay my child’s school fees, I sold all of my cars, sold my hummer jeep, Hilux, things started going bad. It got to a stage where I said this must be the hand of God. Something is wrong. I went for prayers and I was told that nobody is fighting me, that this is God. Listen to him. He wants to use you for something but you are not listening to him. I said okay but you know we are stubborn. I started fighting God, I suffered the more. For almost one year, I lived in one room in a hotel. This is in 2019. But you see the day I cried like the prodigal son, I said, God this is me, whatever you want to do with me, you made me, you moulded me, please, forgive me, I have come back to you. What do you want me to do?
When things started happening to me, when I went through that process of from hero to zero, I remembered that dream. Meanwhile, I have dumped this project. I went back to God to say that the people that would help me is You. It is not how talented, connected or how popular I am now, it is You. If this is your hand God, bring the people. The day the governor called me, I nearly entered the gutter. I said this is God. Let me share something. The day I received the endorsement letter on December 22, I took that letter and I was going home to share with my younger brother. I got home, opened the envelope, there was no letter there. It disappeared.
Till today, I don’t know where it disappeared to. I didn’t go anywhere. I called the ministry to ask if I left it, they said I didn’t because I folded it and kept it. We thoroughly searched for it. Meanwhile, I told the DG that it has taken almost 10 years to get the letter from Lagos state. He asked what happened, I told him it was spiritual that he cannot understand. When I didn’t find that letter I called him back and said sir, I can’t find that letter. He said that is the only original copy they did that they only have photocopies. I told him not to worry that I would work with it, that he should please give it to me. But before 11pm, he called me back. I had said to God if it is you, you would do something again. Before 11pm, they called me again to say they were able to get the honourable commissioner to sign another original. I got it back. Today the honourable commissioner is here. I did not meet him one on one until a few weeks ago in his office.”

Popular Nollywood actress, Ruth Eze, has stated that she would rather have a rich partner who cheats on her than go into a relationship with a poor man.

The thespian made this assertion in a recent interview with Punch’s Saturday Beats. According to her, regardless of how much a man loves a woman it’s natural for him to try out other women.

She said since all men cheat it’s better to be with a rich partner.

A Nigerian lady identified as Anita has stirred controversy online by revealing how much she makes as an employee of a car wash business.


The young woman claimed she made N150,000 every day washing cars for clients.

She announced this on her social media page in response to Nigerians’ complaints that there is no work in the country.

Anita posted pictures of herself washing a parked car’s tire even though she wasn’t wearing a uniform or dressing in a way that suggested she worked at a car wash.

She wrote;

“I make 150k a day through car wash. (lucrative business).
Don’t say there’s no work in naija o.
You can create work for yourself
Don’t be lazy!!!”

Netizens called her out and argued that it was impossible for her to earn so much money by simply washing vehicles.

Popular Nigerian clergyman and actor, Mike Bamiloye, has taken to his official Facebook page to issue a serious warning to people with broken marriages.

This follows the barrage of negative marital advise and bad press surrounding the institution of marriage on the internet.

Addressing people with broken marriages, Mike Bamiloye instructed them to desist from advising single folks, especially ladies, not to respect the institution of marriage.

The drama evangelist who has been married to his wife for 34 years wrote, “If you have got a broken marriage, don’t ever advise the single ladies not to respect the marriage institution”.

A while back, Mike Bamiloye also shared a post on his social media page encouraging people who are going through or having a failed marriage.

According to the post he shared, people in that category can still be joyful again because The Lord can heal the wounds sustained from a failed marriage. What they should not do however, is go about scaring young ladies who want to get married.

His post reads;

The General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has appreciated Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, for paying him a visit.

Taking to his official Twitter page, the clergyman shared a picture he took with the politician and expressed deep gratitude for the visit.

Sharing the picture, he wrote, “Thank you @PeterObi for coming to the house..may God continually protect you in Jesus name…”

The visit comes weeks after unknown gunmen attacked Apostle Suleman’s convoy in Auchi, Edo state, and killed seven persons, including four police men, two drivers and one woman.

At the time, Obi took to Twitter to condemn the gruesome attack and condoled with the clergyman and his family.

Following the attack on Friday, October 21, Apostle Suleman in a video shared on his church’s social media page, said he knows those behind the attack but won’t mention their names because they will come out to debunk the allegation.

He said in part,

“I just escaped an assassination attempt where seven people were killed. They opened fire on my car. My wife and my kids were there. The escort car with police, they killed the policemen. They killed the other people in the escort car, the bus, that were with us. They killed seven people.

People who did this are expecting me to come out and mention their names, so they can come out and deny it but I won’t do that. The truth of the matter is, you can’t kill me, my life is in the hand of God, I’m a man of God.” Watch him speak here
