Big Brother Naija star, Hermes, has cried out on social media after police officers profiled him for the second time in Lagos state.

The reality star, who had previously encountered and shared his grief with police profiling despite his new celebrity status, once again found himself in the same scenario because of his looks.

A video Hermes shared via his social media page showed a police officer searching the car he was in. At some point, he got down from the vehicle as the police officer thoroughly searched inside it.

He tried explaining to the officer that the guy was an uber driver so his documents were definitely complete but the officer refused and searched the vehicle because of his looks.

“Omo see am again o. Make I reach embassy go collect my passport, they don catch me again wayward. I get brown eyelashes and brown hair. It’s crazy. Omo see am o just because we say fine dey wan collect all the bar.

Tope ‘Peter Obi’ sentenced to one year jail term for possession of fraudulent documents.

A young man identified as Tope Peter Obi has been sentenced by Justice O.A. Okunuga of the Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja, to one year in jail for possession of fake documents on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.

According to a statement made public by the EFCC, the defendant was charged with a single count of possessing fake documents, a violation of Section 318 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011, by the EFCC’s Lagos Zonal Command.

The count read;

“That you, Tope Peter Obi, sometime on the 8th day of July, 2022 in Lagos, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, had in your possession documents wherein you fraudulently represented yourself as Chris Lane, an American to one Hewitt, a representation of which from the circumstance of this case you knew or reasonably ought to know to be false.”

He pleaded “guilty” to the one-count charge.

The prosecutor, G.C. Akaogu, reviewed the facts in light of the defendant’s plea and explained how intelligence reports had connected the defendant to the alleged crime, leading to his detention and additional investigation.
The prosecution also offered the defendant’s remarks and the things they found on him as evidence.

The trial judge found the defendant guilty of all charges after hearing his guilty plea and the evidence that was presented in court.

The defense attorney, Bisola Oshundunmade urged the court to temper justice with mercy.

Justice Okunuga condemned the defendant to one year in prison with the possibility of a fine of N500,000 after carefully considering all the available information and the arguments made by both parties.

Kidnappers reject old naira notes as ransom for abducted villagers.

In a bizzare report, Kidnapppers have demanded that ransom payment for four abducted people be made with newly designed naira notes.

In Kolo village, Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State, a man, a lady, and two children were taken by the armed men.

According to PUNCH, the suspected terrorists wanted a N10 million ransom and refused to accept the old naira notes.

An Indigene known as Mohammed, claimed that the kidnappers eventually lowered the demanded ransom to N5m and that residents of the village had been working to acquire the money to ensure the victims’ safe release.

In his words;

“As we were trying to gather the money demanded by the terrorists, they sent another message this morning that they would not collect old naira notes.
They said they would keep the abducted persons in their camps until the release of the new naira notes in December”

Controversial Nigerian singer, Temmie Ovwasa, has called out a customer who allegedly tried to scam her.

Temmie stated that the man bought goods from her and paid for them using a fake credit alert but refused to admit to his theft.

She posted his details on her Instagram page for her followers to call him and curse at him if they were interested in lashing out at someone.

She wrote;

“This man stole from me a few months ago, (bought something with a fake alert)
It wasn’t a lot of money so I decided to let it go, but this morning I feel like stressing him 🙃
I’ll be dropping his number so if you are also stressed and you feel like yelling at or cursing someone (it’s cheaper than therapy)-you can call him and rain all your curses on him😈”

According to the self-proclaimed witch, it was impossible to offend her and away with it because she would never forget and always exert her revenge.

A throwback video of Nigerian superstar singer David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, teasing his teachers has resurfaced online.

The video captured the moment the 30BG boss visited his alma mater, the British International School in Lagos, with his crew members and met with some of his teachers.

While there, the singer recalled his memories with the old faces and pointed out one of the teachers who gave him a “F” while in the school and spoke about how the other teachers gave him poor grades like “Cs,” “Ds and “Es.”

“All of them, D, D, C, C. See your boy now.” he said.

Another part of the video showed the teachers, who were evidently proud to have taught the students, taking turns to take photos with him.

Woman stabs her husband to death over sexual demand in Oyo

Men of the Oyo State Police Command have arrested a 27-year-old woman, Odunayo Olumale, for allegedly stabbing her husband, Olamilekan Salaideen, to death in the state.

Odunayo is alleged to have killed her husband in cold blood over sexual demands. The deceased, Salaideen is said to have made a sexual advance on the suspect, who had just returned home after three months of separation, but she turned him down.

This resulted in violence, during which the deceased smashed his wife’s mobile phone. The suspect retaliated by allegedly stabbing him with a knife in the chest, which led to his death.

The suspect was paraded alongside other 25 suspects for various crimes at the State Police Command in Eleyele, Ibadan on Wednesday, November 23, 2022.

Spokesperson of the command, SP Adewale Osifeso, disclosed that the incident was reported at the Durbar Police Headquarters, Oyo town by the father of the deceased.

“On 17/11/2022 one Ismaila Tijani reported at Durbar Divisional police headquarters that about 0223hrs of 16/11/2022 his son named Olamilekan Salaideen aged 35 years was stabbed to death by his wife, Odunayo. Preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased and his wife returned to their home in the Oko Oba area of Oyo town on the day of the incident after three months of separation

“The deceased made a move to have sexual intercourse with his wife but was rejected, this further led to a struggle when the deceased collected and smashed his wife”s phone on the ground and in retaliation, the deceased was stabbed in the chest, leading to his death.” The PPRO said.

Ossai Success Ovie, a special assistant to the Governor of Delta State, has recounted how his brother ended his relationship with his ex-girlfriend because of her sense of entitlement.

Taking to Facebook, Ossai said the young lady dated an internet fraudster before dating his brother and was accustomed to expensive gifts and lavish spending sprees.

He said the lady’s iPhone 12 Pro Max got stolen recently and his brother bought a TECNO phone worth 55k for her to replace the stolen phone.

However, the lady rejected the phone and said it’s belittling for her to use a TECNO device after using an iPhone 12 Pro Max. Displeased by her response, his brother repossessed the phone and called off the relationship.

According to Ossai, his brother actually bought an iPhone 13 pro max for her and wanted to test her with the TECNO phone.

Ossai wrote;

“A young girl in warri once dated a yahoo yahoo guy and after the breakup , she met my brother .

They started dating but unfortunately for her , my brother though has money, is not that generous like that yahoo yahoo guy.

Reacting to the claim via her Twitter handle, Teni, who revealed that she has lost 75 pounds so far, debunked the claims that she underwent surgery.

She slammed those who linked her weight loss to surgery and insisted that she didn’t undergo any procedures.

“LOST 75 POUNDS no surgery! Dumb asses claiming I did can suck mine!”, she wrote.

A video of the emotional moment a Nigerian lady reunited with her mother after 18 years apart has gone viral on the internet.

In the trending clip, the lady disclosed that the last time she saw her mother was when she was 7 years old and she wanted to surprise her at her location.

She further revealed that her mother thought she was coming to pick up a parcel at the airport unknown to her that it was all a surprise and she was the ‘parcel’.

When the mother-daughter duo finally reunited outside the airport, the mother was taken aback and quickly ran to hug her daughter which lingered for a long time.

The mother also kept telling her daughter how much she loves and misses her, and showered her with prayers.

The young man who made a TikTok of his testimony, shared it on the video-sharing app and has had people thanking and praising God on his behalf.

He vividly explains all that happened to him from the moment he got sick to his body system failing him and he being lifeless before he was gracefully revived and given a second chance at life.

He starts off the video showing him vibrant and full of life at a friend’s wedding… until two days later, the crisis that would threaten his existence started.

He revealed that after all the struggles and challenges he faced in fighting for his life, he at some point was lifeless as he’d lost a significant amount of blood in him. He was however given another chance at life when he got revived moments later.

He then shared that following some medical procedures, his mother’s prayers and his vow to God, he got better. The more powerful testimony is that of him being able to beat the cancer that had initially threatened his life.

An unidentified pastor has allegedly refused to perform a wedding ceremony because the couple has not had sexual interactions.

A lady identified as Christina shared this shocking revelation on microblogging platform, Twitter.

According to her, the pastor called the couple into his office to have a quick conversation with them and declared the wedding could not hold because they have not had coitus.

In a video that’s trending on TikTok, the young lady is seen talking with the police and supposedly reporting the location where the party is being held. She’s seen in the backseat making a call while a couple of other guys who were in the same car, recorded her. The video was shared with the caption, “she called the cops to shut down the party since they didn’t let her in“.

In an update that follows on the account that shared the video, the police eventually came to the party location and shut down the party which was much to the surprise of everyone, including the lady who had made the report.

Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing, has shed more light on her visit to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye’s palace, amid the controversy that the visit stirred online.

Recall that the beautiful thespian caused a stir on the Nigerian web after a photo of her donned in a white outfit and laughing sheepishly at the feet of the Ooni surfaced.

Nkechi’s post elicited a flood of reactions from Nigerians, with many suggesting that she’s interested in becoming the king’s eighth wife.

However, in an updated post, Nkechi explained the reason for her visit to the palace, saying she was selected to be one of the judges of the Queen Moremi pageant.

She also disclosed that one of Ooni of Ife’s wives, Queen Ronke Ademiluyi, gave her a royal hand fan.

“It was an honor to be invited to the palace by her Royal majesty Olori Aderonke Ademiluyi Ogunwusi as one of the judges for @qminternational indeed we be doing so much good in the eyes of strangers. I do not take this opportunity and privilege for granted ma. When I got that call, I tot the king was going to put me in prison but one mind told me NBS Go on that trip you might be wrong.

Popular Nigerian singer, 2face Idibia has said using the phrase ‘people of color’ to describe black people is total bullsh*t to him.

He stated this in a post shared on his Instastory on Tuesday, November 22, adding that the phrase doesn’t sit well with him except white is not also a colour.

He wrote,
