Popular singer, David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, has attacked South African music producer, DJ Maphorisa, for giving credit to his colleagues, Wizkid and Burna Boy, for the success of Amapiano sound in Nigeria.
The drama started after Wizkid released his latest single ‘Bad to Me’ which infused the popular South African sound, Amapiano.
Reacting to this, a lady took to Twitter to state that Davido introduced Amapiano to the Nigerian music scene two years ago and now, Wizkid has adopted the sound.

“Davido brought Amapiano from South Africa two years ago and made it a successful genre in Africa and Beyond, Wizkid is now hopping on the same genre after davido made it a successful genre.
This is how many African artists have been benefiting from Davido’s success for over 12yrs”, she tweeted.
However, this didn’t sit well with DJ Maphorisa, who asserted that Wizkid and Burna Boy were the first Nigerian singers to jump on the sound.

He wrote,
“Kabza & Maphorisa was the first to put Wizkid n Burnaboy on a amapiano song Sponono dat was a historical moment 3 years ago, research before tweet
also it was the first time Wiz n Burna jumped on a same song together
let it sink in 🦅❤️”

Nollywood actress, Chacha Eke, has hinted at reuniting with her husband, Austin Faani, months after she announced the dissolution of her marriage on social media.
Chacha Eke had, in June 2022, announced that she was done pretending and done with the marriage. Read here.
However, that wasn’t the first time the actress had publicly declared the end of her marriage. She posted a video in October 2020 announcing the dissolution of her marriage on grounds of domestic abuse.

She came out days later to state that she didn’t mean it and was suffering from bipolar disorder due to her pregnancy.
In a recent development, Chacha Eka has yet again declared her intention of reuniting with her husband, Austin Faani.
Chacha Eke made this disclosure during an Instagram live session where she answered a series of questions from her fans and followers.
At the beginning of the live session, the mother-of-four tried to shy away from questions about her marriage, stating that it would be a story for another day.
She did, however, make a reunion tease after a follower questioned why she still included her husband’s name, Faani, on her Instagram profile.
Replying, Chacha Eke said that the name is still on her IG page because it needs to be there. She claimed that social media users wouldn’t understand her marital saga.
According to her, she would return to her marriage when the moment is right, and is just waiting for the perfect time to present itself.
Speaking further, she maintained that her health condition has created problems for her. She asserts that occasionally she has symptoms and, rather than taking her prescriptions and relaxing, she finds herself venting on social media, which occasionally results in irreparable damage.

Popular Nigerian disc jockey, Olaniyi Oladigbo, professionally known as DJ Ola has died.
According to friends of the deceased, DJ Ola, who was quite popular in the Nigerian community in the UK, committed suicide on Tuesday, September 13 after battling depression.

He is said to have ended it all over how people treated him. One of his friends claimed that he usually complained about how people talked down on him.
In a lengthy Facebook post, Ola’s wife’s pastor, Philip Oyewale, who described him as one who was always willing to help others, said he had threatened to kill himself on several occasions, before finally taking his own life yesterday.

According to Oyewale, a special evening prayer will be held in Liverpool on Friday night, September 16, to celebrate his life.
One death, too many!!!
I was in a prayer program yesterday, when the wife of D J Ola, called. I declined the call and she sent me one of the most distressing text ever; ‘ I just lost my husband’. I quickly went out to verify the rude joke. With tears, she explained the circumstances that led to his death.Niyi was married to his beloved wife, Hellen. I can categorically tell you, he loved his wife and children to bit. He was a responsible father. He will do anything to protect and provide for his family. He adored his wife. He hated it when you report him to his wife. He loved her and we that were closed to them know it. Let me move to the next point, the cause of his death.
Contrary to what has been circulating on the social media, Niyi has always been dealing with depression and insomnia.
He had on several occasions threatened to kill himself. Any little thing, he would say, ‘I will just kill myself’. I remember telling him one day in my office with the wife present, that he needed mental health assessment.I instructed the wife to encourage him to see the doctor. Since his demise yesterday, I gathered he had attempted to kill himself few times without success. He sent messages to few people a night before, telling them he was depressed. He sent a message to his wife and children also, telling them he loved them but really depressed.
“Personally, I noticed during the son’s tenth birthday thanksgiving in the church on the 28th August, 2022, he was not himself. Niyi will always make a scene with his dancing. That day he was too quiet. And I was thinking, this man eventually is growing. I narrowly missed the hint that could possibly have averted the ugly incident of yesterday.” Oyewole wrote on Facebook.
Colleagues and friends have also trooped to Facebook to mourn his tragic passing.

Big Brother Naija star, Pere Egbi, has reacted to the brawl between level-up housemates, Phyna and Bella, yesterday.
Recall that Phyna, the current Head of House, and Bella got into a heated argument on Tuesday afternoon when the former asked the latter to suspend her discussion with Chomzy during a wager task meeting.

This triggered Bella, who immediately responded to Phyna that she had no right, even as the Head of House, to dictate to her.

The argument resulted in a war of words between the ladies as they called each other unprintable names.
Sharing his opinion on the brawl, Pere, who was known for his stern rule during his time serving as the Head of House in the Shine Ya Eye season, defended Phyna.
He asserts that anyone who disrespects the HOH position is doing so out of pure condescension.
“The emblem on the neck of the HOH should not be disrespected. I sternly believe people who disrespect that emblem go out of their way to do so just for content sake. It actually costs nothing to show some respect to the HOH seeing as YOU may one week become one!
You can. However there’s a way you speak to someone in authority. Forget authority, HOW you say what you say is more important than what you say. Because it will give definition to what you actually saying and reveal your character.” He tweeted.
