The young lady, Zainab, shared a picture of herself during her matriculation and said she was 16 as at that time and just gained admission into the university of Lagos (Unilag). She says she’s 20 now and she is still at 100 level with no progress over the last 4 years.

Netizens however did not believe her story because the ASUU strike started on the 14th of February 2022 and it did not explain how she has been stuck in the same level for 4 years.
“It’s not just strike, when I got admission; first they did not allow us to resume, second we had to wait another year for the second batch to resume with us.
When we resumed, lecturers didn’t come to teach because we were too much and now we are on strike lol” she explained further.

A video of some Nigerian youths confidently defending internet fraud, popularly known as “Yahoo Yahoo”, has gone viral.
The young men recently came out in their numbers to protest against recent raids carried out by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Oyo state and called for the disbandment of the anti-graft agency.
One of the aggrieved youths who spoke to newsmen during the protest, said they worked for the money they make from internet fraud and are also collecting their father’s money.
He also asked how the anti-graft agency wants them to survive and feed their families when there’s no job in the country.
“We worked for the money, we are collecting our father’s money. No work in this Nigeria, how do you want us to survive?, we want EFCC to end”, he said in part.

A 30-year-old woman, Keaira Hudson, has been killed by her husband barely one week after she called him out for assaulting her.
Keaira, a mother of three, took to her Facebook page a few days ago to share a video of her husband beating her mercilessly in Buffalo, New York.
Keaira got married to 45-year-old Adam Bennefield in February this year, and had described their wedding day as the happiest day of her life in a Facebook post earlier.
According to her, her husband gave her her dream wedding. Unfortunately, only months into their marriage, he became abusive, and Keaira took to Facebook on September 29 to post a video showing him assaulting her.
A friend of the deceased woman revealed that Adam had a bad temper long before they got married, but he always apologized whenever he hit her and promised to change.
“Keaira’s family did not want her to marry him. They were so scared for her and tried to reach out to Keaira, but she felt like she was fine,” the friend wrote on Facebook.
On September 28, Adam threatened Keaira at their home with a knife, beat her brutally, took her phone and refused to let her leave the house. As the mother three bled on the floor after the beating, Adam took pictures of her in her battered state.
Keaira shared the video on September 29 with the caption, “This is what this man does to me but I’m always treated like I’m the abuser.”
Keaira and her children fled the house after that incident. However, Adam wouldn’t leave her alone and vowed to murder her. He was later arrested and a restraining order was issued against him.
He was released from jail on Tuesday, Oct. 4th, and Keaira, who was hiding in her mother’s house, wore a bulletproof vest all the time as she feared her husband would kill her.
“Mom he’s going to kill me, you don’t understand,” Keaira reportedly told her mother when she asked why she’s always wearing a bulletproof vest.
While Adam was released, prosecutors requested a temporary order of protection to force him to stay away from Keaira.
Sadly, on Wednesday morning, October 5, Keaira was driving to the daycare to drop her children off when Adam crashed into her vehicle.
He then jumped out of his vehicle and shot Keaira multiple times in her head while her kids watched. Keaira died on the spot.
Police has now released a wanted person poster, asking for help to find the husband who’s currently at large.

A German woman who is married to a Nigerian man has applauded herself after she prepared Ofe Akwu (palm nut soup) for the first time.

Kenyan media personality, Vera Sidika, has continued to detail her corrective surgery experience to reduce the size of her backside, as she warns women against cosmetic surgery.
The internet celebrity, who had previously said that her enormous rear was natural, made news on Wednesday when she admitted to having butt implants, which she has now had to have removed owing to medical complications.

A retiree collapsed at the entrance of the Kano State Government House as pensioners protested the non-payment of their retirement benefit on Thursday, October 6.
The Pensioners staged a protest in the state today to draw the attention of the authorities to their plight when one of them collapsed.
The elderly men and women marched from the Emir’s House in Nassarawa to the state government house, carrying placards with several inscriptions like “Monthly pension deductions must be stopped”, “Pay us our pension arrears”, “Resume compliance with pension laws”, “Pension our deducted benefits and monthly pension is non-taxable by law, why deduct on it?”
During the protest, one of the senior citizens who had joined the peaceful protest collapsed.
Speaking with newsmen, the state Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Chairman, Kabiru Ado Minijibir, who was there in solidarity with the protesting pensioners, said, the state owes 32,600 pensioners accumulated N36.900 billion unpaid arrears.
He added that as of June 2022, 18,111 pensioners were unpaid, adding that this problem has resulted in the deaths of many while others have taken ill with no money to settle hospital bills.
“We also hope that Government would set aside special funds to commence the immediate payment of the unsettled N30.900 billion funds, and also ensure that the unwarranted cut in thier money immediately stopped.
“Failure to this might result in the pensioners taking the last option which is legal action, but we know and believe that Governor Ganduje has his people in his heart as can be seen in the monthly payment of pension allowances and salaries”. He said.

Popular clergyman and marriage counsellor, Kingsley Okonkwo, has advised women to be wary of cheating men.
The Lagos-based preacher, in a post shared on his Twitter page, averred that if a man cheats with a woman and ends up getting married to her, he cannot be trusted to be faithful in the marriage.
According to him, there is a good chance he will cheat on her with a different woman as well, if they get married.

Pastor Tolu Odukoya-Ijogun, the first daughter of late popular clergywoman, Bimbo Odukoya, has taken to Twitter to advise married couples to have sex regularly.
The mother of three gave this advise while dishing out six important rules of marriage to married couples on microblogging platform, Twitter, on Wednesday, September 5.
Sharing an admonition she received from her father, Tolu asserted that sex is a currency and if one does not spend it at home, they will eventually spend it somewhere else so couples should prioritize sex.
She tweeted,

The woman is said to have beaten her maid to death over an undisclosed reason then dumped her corpse in a bush.
After she was nabbed by NAPTIP operatives, she took them to the site where she abandoned the lifeless body of the deceased.
Speaking in a video serving rounds online, the woman confessed to beating the child till she started convulsing and she rushed her to a hospital but sadly, she was pronounced dead on arrival.
In a bid to get rid of the corpse, the woman said she dumped it in a bush.
Speaking in Igbo, she said: “I beat her and she started convulsing so I took her to Kings (hospital). Getting there, she died, so I threw her body here.”
The decomposing body of the maid was also captured in the video. The woman has been taken into custody and will be charged to court.
The incident took place in the wee hours of Sunday, October 2, 2022, after the deceased confronted a suspected cultist, Goru Emerald Edirin, for harassing his pregnant wife, Toyin.
Popular Kenyan media personality, Vera Sidika’s husband, Brown Mauzo, has publicly reacted to her transformation after removing her butt implants.
Vera Sidika previously had butt implants, which gave her a massively endowed body, but had to remove them due to medical complications she had suffered.
Taking to her Instagram page on Wednesday, the 33-year-old, who shared a new photo showing her look after the corrective surgery, encouraged women not to be pushed into altering their bodies because of peer pressure.
She claimed that the experience had taught her to love herself more and that she would never again allow peer pressure to push her into things that would ruin her future.

A woman has narrated how she recovered N50,000 which her ex-boyfriend was owing her before he left her to marry another woman.
The woman, who shared her story in a Facebook group, said her ex-lover refused to return the N50,000 she borrowed him while they were still dating. According to her, after he broke up with her last year, he blocked her and his family was uninterested in resolving the matter, so she came up with a plan to get her money back.
She said, fortunately for her, the lady whom the man married sells shoes and clothes online, so she was able to recover the money from her.
She said she pretended to be a customer and ordered goods worth N70,000, deposited N20,000 and insisted she wanted her goods to be delivered before she would pay the balance, and the wife agreed.
She said that when the items arrived, she refused to pay the N50,000 balance, but instead she told the woman that her husband was owing her and asked her to get the balance from him.

“I have an ex boyfriend who is still owing me 50k till date. We broke up last year after he went behind my back to marry another lady. I still have all the proofs of the bank transfers. I have tried everything to recover my money without Success. He has blocked me everywhere and even his family shuns me and refuses to intervene.
I have been following his wife on social media and she had no idea. She’s into sales of turkey wears and nice shoes. I sent her an order for some items and she quickly responded and agreed to payment on delivery since we are both in the same state.
Everything sums up to 70k but to gain her trust I sent her 20k deposit. It’s either she’s naive or new in the business because she couldn’t contain her excitement. She was so eager to sell to me and she agreed to the deal. I arranged for my own dispatch to pick up from her location promising to pay up immediately also recommend her to many people. She was happy.
After the items arrived I sent her copies of my 50k receipt her useless husband is owing me and downloaded the full story to her. I told her to go and confirm from him that he owes me 50k so I consider the debt settled. Since that yesterday till now the man had been blowing my phone up with calls and that’s and saying he would deal with me. I’ve told him to bring it on. I just wanted to know if I’m on the wrong side of the law by recovering my money.”
Photos and videos from the extravagant wedding ceremony of California-based Nigerian serial robber, Charles Chukwuma Onwuemelie, three months before he was arrested in connection with over 60 armed robberies in Los Angeles, have gone viral.
It was earlier reported that Charles, a 29-year-old resident of Quartz Hill was arrested on the 23rd of September for allegedly committing 68 robberies just 5 months after hosting a very extravagant wedding in the United state.
According to investigations, a total of 68 armed business robberies have been linked to the same suspect since October of 2021. It is reported that the Robberies took place throughout Los Angeles County and the City of Los Angeles.
During their investigation, detectives discovered that the suspect frequently covered the handgun used in the robberies at gas stations, 7-11s, and Walmart’s with a blue cloth.
The suspect would disguise himself by wearing various hats, a face mask, and rubber gloves, which made many give him the name, “Blue Cloth Bandit”. Read here.
Charles and his wife, Chinonyelum Stephanie Onwuasor, met at church in 2012 while Stephanie was volunteering as a teacher’s aide in a confirmation class.
It was gathered that Charles, who was in the confirmation stage of his Catholicism, confronted Stephanie about her rigorous grading after she failed his confirmation papers.
They became friends afterwards, and the friendship later evolved into love. They had their traditional wedding on April 23, 2022, and the elaborate ceremony was followed by an even more lavish white wedding on July 16, 2022.

In other news, reality TV star and winner of Big Brother NAIJA LEVEL UP, Phyna has berated her former friend and colleague, Amaka, for not congratulating her in person after she emerged winner of the seventh edition of Big Brother Naija.
It would be recalled that Phyna and Amaka were bestfriends in the house however their friendship went sour after they both developed interest in the same man, Groovy, who subsequently choose the former.

Reacting to Amaka’s demeanor, the Edo-born housemate in a recent interview slammed her for not setting the bad blood aside to congratulate her.
Phyna said she noticed that Amaka was angry with her when they saw each other for the first time on Sunday, but she expected her to still hug and congratulate her.
Speaking further, Phyna said she doesn’t have an issue with Amaka, but if she (Amaka) is bearing a grudge against her, she should confront her directly so they can address it.

A few months back, Funsho Adeoti, the first wife of Mercy Aigbe’s husband, Kazim Adeoti, called the actress and their husband out on social media.
The mother of four, via her Insta-stories on Sunday night, May 5, issued a stern warning to Mercy Aigbe and her husband.
She didn’t go into detail about the warning, but she emphasized that her husband and his new wife, Mercy, should stop pushing her. She also gave a 12 hour ultimatum to them to take down a post.
This comes after Mercy Aigbe took to her Instagram page to share loved-up photos with her husband, and also a video of herself that was taken in Kazim’s home.

Residents of Satellite Town, Lagos state, have confronted a woman for allegedly maltreating her 17-year-old househelp.
A Twitter user with handle @judy_nwa disclosed that they became concerned about the minor when they saw a huge sore in her hand when she came to fetch water in their house. They also saw scars on her back.
Out of anger, she and other residents of the community stormed the woman’s house to accost her for allegedly treating the maid like a slave.
However, the woman remained indignant and claimed she didn’t mistreat the minor, adding that she’s confident that nothing would happen if she’s reported to the police.
The tweep shared a video showing when the woman, whose name was given as Aisha, was confronted by the neighbours and condemned her for abusing the minor.
