A young Nigerian man could not contain his excitement after meeting his Oyibo ‘wife’ for the first time after three months of online dating and took to social media to share his joy with his online audience.
The man posted a video of the heartwarming moment he united with his Caucasian lover at a Nigerian airport, and it has gotten people talking online.
In the trending clip, the woman is seen being led out of the airport by some airport officials who helped with her luggage, while her Nigerian ‘husband’ was waiting patiently for her outside.
When they eventually met, the couple locked each other in a tight embrace and left the airport together.

A married Nigerian man has reportedly relocated to the United Kingdom with his side chic with people’s thrift contribution worth 15 million naira.
A Twitter user, identified as Olusola Olufemi, shared this story while reacting to reports that someone ran away to the UK with some contributors’ money.
According to Olufemi, the married man left his wife and children here in Nigeria and eloped to the UK with his mistress, presumably to start a new life.
“A guy just ran away with people daily contribution worth 15m. The most shocking part of it is that he left his wife and children and elope with a side chick.” Olufemi wrote on Twitter.
Meanwhile, a British man simply identified as Darren, who lost his iPhone in the UK a month ago, has discovered it in Nigeria.
Darren, who made this revelation on his Twitter page on Monday, said his iPhone went missing in the UK in September, and when he eventually gained access to his iCloud this October, he discovered the phone is now in Edo state, Nigeria.
The screenshot of the map that Darren posted on the micro-blogging platform to corroborate his claim showed the location of the iPhone as Ibiwe Street, Oredo area, Edo State.

Grace Nnaji, a neighbour of late gospel singer, Osinachi, on Thursday told a Federal Capital Territory Court in Abuja that the singer, on many occasions, begged her not to report her husband, Peter Nwachukwu’s abuse, as she believed he would change.
Nnaji, a tailor and close friend of the deceased singer, told the court that she met the singer when her husband approached her to make a dress for her.
Nnaji, while giving her testimony led by the prosecution counsel, Aderonke Imana, said that she became close to the deceased as her shop in Aco Estate, Airport Road, Lugbe, and residence were close to the Nwachukwu’s house.
She said the deceased confided in her that her husband, Peter Nwachukwu, was always hitting her at the slightest provocation.
“Ekwueme, as I used to call her, came to my shop one day with injuries on her daughter’s head and she told me that the defendant pushed her and the child against the wall. The daughter had fever at the same time and I was the one that gave Ekwueme money to buy drugs from the pharmacy to give her daughter.
“Another time, she came and showed me injuries on her back and told me that Peter kicked her on her back and she slammed into the wall with her chest.
One day she ran to my house at about 5 am and said that the previous night she locked her door and he kicked it open with his leg and proceeded to hit her on her chest. She fell to the floor and remained there crying until she slept off”, Nnaji told the court.
She further said that the defendant was in the habit of locking his wife out whenever she went to church and she would be at the gate knocking for hours.
Nnaji claimed at times it will take the intervention of neighbours before she would be allowed in and that she slept in her house for two days on one of the occasions he refused to allow her into the house.
Nnaji alleged that Mr. Nwachukwu threatened that he was going to destroy Osinachi’s reputation and kill her brother and that was the reason she was afraid to tell anyone about her ordeal.
The neigbour said when she told Osinachi to report the abuse to the police, her family, church and also a human rights radio, she refused.
“When I told her that I was going to report to the church, she begged me not to, saying that her husband will change”, she said
She recounted a time she sneaked into the Nwachuku’s house to help Osinachi, who was seriously ill, clean the house to avoid her husband getting angry and complaining about an untidy one.
Peter Nwachukwu is standing trial on a 23-count culpable homicide and domestic abuse charge. He has been accused of being the cause of the late gospel singer’s death.
A young lady has been captured insulting her boyfriend after he confronted her for cheating on him with another man.
In the video serving rounds on the internet, the lady is heard berating her boyfriend for attacking her for sleeping with a man who gives her #200,000 after every intimate session when he only gives her #50,000 in one month.
Her boyfriend, who was broken by her words and attempted to launch at her but was held back by some men believed to be his friends, told her she knows that he’s not financially stable but still tries to send her money.

A South African man, identified as Thabo Silas Tsotets, has been declared wanted by Mpumalanga police after the badly decomposed body of his girlfriend, Nosipho Caroline Mthombeni, was found in the ceiling of his house.
Mthombeni’s decomposed body was found when police responded to a complaint about a foul odour from the house located in Minaar Street at Balfour.
Speaking to TimesLIVE this week, Mthombeni’s grieving aunt Nomvula Maya said her daughter, Phumzile had confronted the man weeks after Nosipho’s disappearance.
“He should stop making things hard for her family and just hand over her body so they can bury her. But he insisted he knew nothing about her whereabouts, despite a stench in the house. ” She said
After the suspect, Tsotets, was confronted by the deceased’s cousin, he disappeared, and only three days later, on October 5, 2022, Mpumalanga police made the harrowing discovery.
On arrival, they found a lady who indicated that she had moved into the house about a month earlier to stay with the father of her child.
“Police began checking the house to determine where the odour was coming from. At first, the ceiling trapdoor did not show clearly what was inside. However, the members proceeded to the next room and broke the ceiling, [discovering] a human body wrapped with some clothes.
“Emergency services personnel were summoned to the scene, but the body was in such a decomposed state that the gender could not be determined at that time. However, later, through the shoes that the victim was wearing as well as the nail polish and other features, it was determined that it was a female. A murder case [was opened].” Brig Selvy Mohlala, police spokesperson, told TimesLIVE.
The boyfriend, Thabo Silas Tsotets, is still at large.
Mthombeni’s heartbroken family has opened up about the events leading up to the shocking discovery.
Maya said questions were raised about her whereabouts several days before the body was found.
Mthombeni’s friends had reached out to Maya’s daughter Phumzile when they failed to make contact with the missing woman.
“Her friends asked, ‘When last did you speak to Nosipho?’ My daughter and I told them that [Nosipho] wasn’t someone we spoke to frequently. Her friends then revealed that it’s been two months since they’ve been able to reach her on WhatsApp, via cellphone, or Facebook.
“We didn’t take it seriously … Later, [another family member] called my daughter and told her she too got a call from [the same] friends and also asked about Nosipho’s whereabouts”. Maya said.
Phumzile and a relative went to the man’s house to look for her, but he said Nosipho had left for Secunda to work.
He allegedly disappeared a day after this confrontation, claiming he was “going to make payments on some accounts”.
Maya returned to the house twice to look for Mthombeni but was met by a woman who had moved in.
The bereaved aunt said that while there, she noticed what appeared to be a blood stain on the carpet but was told it was caused by children.
She became suspicious and decided to speak to Mthombeni’s mother, who confirmed she last saw her daughter on August 26 when she dropped off some vegetables on her way to church.
Mthombeni’s family and the woman in the house alerted police to the situation.
A devastated Maya described the family’s pain of finding out that the bad smell she encountered on her visits emanated from a decomposed body.
“We weren’t allowed to see the body … [We didn’t] find a body but a ghost,” she said.
The healthcare facility where Rico Swavey was rushed to after he was involved in an accident, Doren Hospital Lagos, have given a detailed narration of what they claimed transpired after he was brought in.
The hospital has been receiving heavy backlash on social media over the way it’s nurses’allegedly treated the reality TV star after he was admitted in their facility.
This comes after a video showing the nurses deliberating on how to transfer Rico to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit while he was fighting for his life surfaced online.

Well, reacting to the criticisms, Doren Hospital have now released an official statement detailing what they claimed truly happened.
They claimed Rico Swavey was brought in by a good Samaritan around 1am deeply unconscious, smelling of alcohol, and bleeding from his ear, nose and mouth, depicting that he had internal bleeding.
They immediately administered oxygen on him, stabilized his blood pressure, and administered drip on him before proceeding to refer him to another hospital.
Doren Hospital said they tried to contact Rico’s family to inform them of his condition and reached a woman who rushed down to the hospital.
Speaking on the viral video, Doren Hospital claimed the nurses were telling the good Samaritan to assist in carrying Rico to the ambulance but he was busy filming a video as proof to exonerate himself in case anything happens to Rico Swavey.

In other news, the video of a commercial bus driver engaging in a quite heated argument with an armed policeman has left netizens stunned online.
According to reports surrounding the video, the driver travelled with passengers from Abuja and was heading to Warri. After being on the road for many hours, they met some police officers who usually carry out stop and search operation.
The video shows the moment where the driver and a particular armed policeman were having a heated argument, though it is not clear what led to the argument. As can be seen in the video, the driver who was seemingly unperturbed by the armed policeman, threatened to come back to deal with him.
At some point in their argument, the police officer corked his gun but this didn’t stop the driver from making threats. It’s however claimed that the driver is a military officer.
A panel beater who spent eight years behind bars after he was wrongfully arrested for failing to stop suspected criminals being chased by soldiers has finally been released from prison.
It is learnt that the man, identified simply as Ola, was returning home from work in 2014 when some men who were being pursued by soldiers ran past him. When the soldiers failed to catch their target, they turned their anger on Ola and took him into custody.
He was wrongly charged to court for armed robbery and had been in prison since then, until a non-governmental organization, Headfort foundation, took charge of his case and helped to secure his release.
Taking to their official Facebook to share the sad story, Headfort Foundation wrote,
“Ola was a Panel beater working at Alaba, in Lagos State, Nigeria.
Sometime in May 2014, Ola was on his way back from work when he saw some people run by him. A few seconds later, soldiers ran after those persons. To his dismay, the soldiers returned angrily and questioned why he didn’t stop the persons that ran by him. He explained to the soldiers that he didn’t know them or why they were running and couldn’t just have stopped them from running.
His response infuriated the soldiers more and they took him to base. The senior officer at the Barracks refused to let the soldiers keep him at the Barracks so they took him to the police station and reported that he didn’t prevent the escape of the people they were chasing.
The Officers at Orile Police Station moved him alongside other suspects taken to SARS Office Ikeja where he was later charged to Court for the offence of Armed robbery when he couldn’t meet up with bail demands.
The family members did their best and got him legal representation. After a while, they could no longer afford to pay so the lawyer withdrew his appearance.
Since 2014, he remained in custody with no lawyer representing him until July 2022 when he got Headfort Foundation’s contact from an inmate and he called to explain his ordeal.
Our Lawyer, Awolu Itunuoluwa Ruth took his brief and traced his case to Lagos State High Court TBS. She began representing him for free.
On Tuesday, just like every other day in which his case had come up for a trial, there was no witness. The prosecution informed the Court that they intend to call official witnesses who happened to be Police Officers but they are not familiar with the witnesses and do not have their contact details or means of reaching them.
Ola, who had been languishing in prison since 2014 awaiting trial was immediately released by the Court, and the charges against him were struck out.”
Popular UK-based Nigerian pastor, Tobi Adegboyega, has shared a video of secular singer, Oxlade, giving him a private musical performance of his hit song, “Ku Lo Sa“.
The controversial clergyman took to his Instastory to share the video on Thursday, October 13, and said the performance was spontaneous as it happened when Oxlade paid him a visit.

Big Brother Naija star,Angel Smithhas shared her experience at the hospital where her co-star, Rico Swavey, was allegedly mistreated after he was rushed there for urgent medical attention.
Recall that the 29-year-old reality show star passed away yesterday, October 13, from the injuries he sustained in a fatal car crash in Lagos.
Following his death, a heartbreaking video of healthcare officials laughing and making videos of him while he was fighting for his life at the hospital was shared online.
The video sparked a nationwide outrage online as netizens called out the healthcare attendants over their lackadaisical attitude towards a dying patient.
Reacting to the video, Angel took to Twitter to disclose the name of the hospital, and shared her personal experience in the facility.
She recounted how she collapsed and was rushed to the hospital but the drugs she was administered made her condition worse, and she had to be taken to another hospital. Rating the hospital, Angel gave them 0/100.
She tweeted;

Rico Swavey, who had been on life support following a ghastly car crash on Tuesday, October 11, died on Thursday morning, October 13, at the age of 29.

Mourning Rico’s death, his bereaved girlfriend shared loved-up videos of them on her Instagram page and recalled how excited he was that she agreed to become his girlfriend.
She revealed the reality TV star was planning to relocate to the United States. She also shared a chat with the reality star where he lamented the situation in Nigeria.
She recalled how he had called her on the day of the accident, but she refused to answer his call because she was upset with him.
“My babe is gone!! I didn’t even pick your call cause I was upset, oh I wish I could hold you one last time babe. Rest In Peace Patrick. My Tokunbo you were supposed to go to the US cause you hated it here, in fact the US embassy is owing you.” She wrote in part.
A Twitter user has shared a warning from food experts about the use of rotten tomatoes to cook and adverse side effects to health like cancer and immune deficiency.

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, a celebrated Nigerian author who was recently honored with Harvard University’s prestigious W.E.B. Du Bois Medal, has spoken out about missing President Buhari’s October 11 ceremony to bestow national honors.
Omawumi Ogbe, a Chimamanda communications team member, clarified the situation by telling The Guardian that the author turned down the honor.
“Following the recent conferment of national awards by the President, there have been conflicting reports about one of the announced recipients, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. Some social media users say the award-winning writer rejected the award, while others say she accepted it. The author did not accept the award and, as such, did not attend the ceremony. She, however, did not want to create undue publicity around it, so her non-acceptance was conveyed privately”
President Buhari defended the honors when presenting awards to 450 Nigerians and foreigners, stating that the recipients had distinguished themselves in the service of the country and humanity.

Nigerian singer, Skiibii, has gifted a young Nigerian man who braided his girlfriend’s hair because he couldn’t afford to get her a human hair wig.
The romantic boyfriend and his girlfriend recently went viral after the boyfriend shared a video showing how he surprised his girlfriend with a new hairstyle.
In the video, he asked his girlfriend to loosen her hair because he wanted to take her somewhere, and she obliged.
They boarded a bike to a saloon where he paid the hairstylist to do a simple cornrow for her.
When they got home, the girlfriend wasn’t happy with the work the hairstylist had done, so he decided to braid her hair for her.
Towards the end of the video, he was heard promising to get his girlfriend a wig when he has the money.
The video went viral and caught the attention of Nigerian singer Skiibii, who gave him money to buy a wig for his lover.
The couple have now taken to social media to express gratitude to Skiibii.
In the new clip, the elated girlfriend, also thanking Skiibii for his kind gesture, says the cash gift they received from Skiibii is actually too much for them to use to buy a wig.

A viral video of a bride refusing to say “for richer for poorer” while taking her marital vows has caused a stir online.
The video of the adorable couple exchanging their marital vows at the altar on their wedding day was shared online. However, the bride’s refusal to say exactly what the officiating priest had told her to say elicited reactions.
In the clip, the officiating minister says, “To have and to hold from this day forward, for better or worse, for richer or for poorer.”
When it was the bride’s turn to repeat the vows after the officiating minister, she replaced the poorer with richer, “For richer for richer,” she said.
The moment she said that, the congregation and the minister erupted in raucous laughter at the bride’s antics.
The minister then responded, stating that she loved the bride’s zeal.
The groom, who was holding his bride’s hand the entire time was also giggling loudly.

Nigerians on social media have trooped to social media to react to the domestic violence episode between popular businessman, Ikechukwu Ogbonna better known as IVD, and his wife, Bimbo, which left her with severe burn injuries.
The incident took place on Wednesday, October 12 at their home in Megamound Estate, Lekki, Lagos, after Bimbo confronted her husband about the frequent beatings she endures from him.
A full-blown fight ensued between the couple which ended in their house being set on fire. Their kids were lucky to have escaped in time but Bimbo was not so lucky as she was badly burnt in the fire and had to be rushed to the hospital.
She was rejected by several hospitals before one eventually accepted to treat her, and she’s said to be in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the moment.
Well, this is not the first time the couple are in the news for domestic violence as three years ago, Bimbo slipped into coma after she was badly beaten by her husband when she was eight months pregnant for their fifth child.
However, on October 4 2020, IVD disclosed that they have reconciled and set aside their differences days after she wrote an exposé detailing how she had been a victim of domestic abuse for 19 years.
Following the incident, she kept dropping subtle hints on her social media page that she was still being abused by her husband.
Just recently in January 2022, Bimbo shared a cryptic note believed to be directed at her husband saying, “I gave you more than I gave myself, so loyal to you that I betrayed myself.”

The 29-year-old reality TV star succumbed to the cold hands of death following his involvement in a ghastly car crash that left him on life support since Tuesday, October 11.
Taking to social media to mourn his tragic passing, his colleague, Alex, in a lengthy post on her Instagram page, expressed her anger at God for failing to answer all her prayers for Rico while he was battling for his life in the hospital.
Alex recounted her last moments with Rico at the hospital before he gave up the ghost, and declared that the bible needs to be edited.
Alex said she had faith and prayed with so much hope that Rico would be back on his feet soon, but yet he died despite all her prayers.
Alex said Rico’s death has left her so broken that she’s struggling to forgive and understand God.
“Patrick, if I didn’t tap you numerous times this morning, call your name, beg on my knees and you refused to say a word to me, I would have said, “don’t worry, it’s one of Rico’s jokes”.
I know you read all my messages so if you see this one, know that your six foot Amazon is broken. I begged you, I begged God, I promised you I’ll stay strong and shed no tear last night. Rico, I actually kept to my promise. I didn’t cry, I opened that group you wanted, I felt your body and it was warm, I watched you breathe and I was sure you’ll open your eyes properly soon and say “baby girl, wagwan”.
