Marlian Music star, Mohbad presents a brand new single titled, “Peace”. The song was produced by Rexxie, mixed and mastered by Timi Jay.
This is his third solo release for the year. It is a follow-up to his previous solo track “Ronaldo” released in May with a couple of featured tracks.
The new jam is a groovy and fantastic piece of music to keep you going.
A couple of people have raised concerns over the countenance of Mavin Record’s boss, Don Jazzy, after he was invited on stage by veteran singer, D’Banj at the 15th Headies awards event.
The 2022 annual Headies Award was held in Atlanta, USA and saw the recognition and honouring of both local and foreign music acts, one which saw D’banj bag a Special Recognition Award.
As the music mogul was on the stage to receive his award, he invited his former partner, Don Jazzy to join him, as he acknowledged him for once believing in his career.
Don Jazzy, as he got on stage, maintained an expressionless face as he wore a facemask and despite DBanj’s humorous approach for him to remove it, the music producer remained cold.

The 15th Headies Awards was held in Atlanta, USA, on the 4th of September, 2022.
The show was hosted by Emmy-nominated American actor, Anthony Anderson and Nigerian actress. Osas Ighodoro.
At this year’s edition of the show, Dancehall singer, Patoranking cupped 2 awards. Other winners weer BNXN fka Buju, who won the Next Rated Award and Ayra Starr who won the Viewers Choice Award.
Before the Award ceremony, journalist Sampson Unamka revealed that the winner of the Next Rated category at this year’s Headies award will take home the 2022 Bentley Bentayga SUV.
Nominees for the award were BNXN, Ruger, Ayra Starr, Zinoleesky and Lojay. BNXN was the one who bagged the award.

A 53-year-old physically challenged man identified as Ehiarimwiam Osaromo Emmanuel, has been arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, at the departure hall of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja Lagos for drug trafficking.
According to a statement by the spokesperson of the agency, Femi Babafemi, the suspect was arrested on Sunday 28th August on his way to Italy, via Doha on a Qatar Airways flight. He was found to have concealed five thousand (5,000) tablets of tramadol (225mg) in his luggage.
According to preliminary investigations, the suspect is a frequent traveler who often travels with lots of bags containing mainly food items, body cream, hair attachment and drinks. The suspect was said to have presented his usual large goods to operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement for search but held on to some packages, which were retrieved from him and properly searched during which the illicit drugs were found.
On Saturday, 3rd September 2022, Nollywood actress, Helen Duru, accused men of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of attacking her at her residence in Enugu state.
The thespian, who shared a video of herself covered in blood and with a fractured skull, alleged that the security operatives stormed her apartment at 02:53am on Saturday and broke the door open to gain access to her apartment.
Authorities of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC have however denied claims made by the Actress.
In a statement released, the EFCC described Helen’s claims as “mere publicity- seeking player, with a poorly- scripted claim that has fallen flat in the face of unassailable facts available to the Commission.”

”False and Misleading Video in Circulation on EFCC Operations
The attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has been drawn to an online video trending on Instagram, from the handle of a certain “@Iamhelenaduru”, a self- styled actress, purporting, quite mischievously, an assault by operatives of the Commission.
Checks by the Commission, however, flagged Helen Aduru, an upcoming actress, as a mere publicity- seeking player, with a poorly- scripted claim that has fallen flat in the face of unassailable facts available to the Commission
In her script, she was quick to include five names of officers she claimed came from the Cybercrime Section of the Enugu Command of the Commission. Characteristically, EFCC’s officers don’t wear name tags nor move around with bulldozer- shaped equipment to pull down security doors.
Aduru claimed, rather strangely, that she was assisted by a little boy, to a Police Station at 3:44 am but met the station shut. It is important to note that Police Stations are not civil service ministries that “close” in the evening. Even more preposterous is the fact that she never went back, at daybreak, to lodge a complaint. More poignantly untenable is the fact that her purported assault of July 21, 2022, which has not been logged nearly two months later at the Police Station is only being brought to public glare on September 2, 2022!! Such a scene could only stand on a typical Nollywood fiction series.
Such claims by Aduru, like all other stranger- than- fiction, click-baiting, sympathy-seeking ploys, do not merit a response but for the need to avoid “silence is acquiescence” stance of mischief makers. Deeper checks on the matter only showed that, certain blackmailers could be bandying some known names in the Enugu Zonal Command to settle some scores.
The Commission, strictly guided by its Standard Operational Procedure, would not succumb to blackmail or any sleight of hand by any character. The poorly- scripted video would be further analysed for more forensic details and possible legal action to dissuade those who seem to be making an industry of falsely accusing and maligning the Commission. Members of the public are enjoined to ignore Aduru’s claims. EFCC’s officers are not assaulters or terrorists.”
A video that captured the moment a woman assualted her 2-year-old child went viral on social media and it sparked angry reactions.
The Woman captured in the video has now been arrested by the authorities as her actions were deemed to have abused the human rights of her two-year-old daughter.
In the video recorded by a neighbor, the Ugandan woman identified as Nabulim Dorothy repeatedly hit the defenseless toddler with her footwear till she fell out of a ‘local bath tub’ but that did not stop the assualt.
In a statement via Twitter, the Ugandan Criminal Investigation Department confirmed the arrest of the woman for dehumanization.
The Statement reads;
“The @PoliceUg has today arrested Nabulime Dorothy who is seen in the viral clip circulating on social media assaulting her 2 year old daughter. She will be produced in Court on Monday to answer for her actions.”

A Nigerian medical doctor was left stunned after discovering two hearts in the chicken he slaughtered.
The doctor, identified as @the_beardedsina on Twitter, took to the platform to share the unusual discovery on Friday, September 2.
Out of sheer curiosity, he asked veterinary doctors on Twitter for a plausible explanation for the rare occurrence.
He shared a picture of the two hearts extracted from the chicken and wrote,
“Is this normal?”
“We killed a chicken and found 2 hearts. Is that a normal variation?”

Popular gospel singer, Dunsin Oyekan, has miraculously survived a fatal car accident along the Lagos/Ibadan expressway today, September 3rd.
The ‘Fragrance to Fire’ singer was on his way to minister at a church in Ibadan when his vehicle – a Toyota Prado Jeep – collided with a tailer truck in the Ishara area.
Fortunately, all occupants of the vehicle survived the tragic accident. Photos from the accident scene has been shared online and the vehicle was mangled and badly damaged.

In other news, a lady has narrated the miraculous story of how God healed her broken bones after being involved in a fatal accident.
Taking to Twitter, @natachyy said the accident occurred when she was in secondary school and she was bedridden for weeks due to the injuries she sustained.
She said one day, she overheard the doctor saying she might never be able to walk again or give birth naturally because of her fractured pelvis.
The young lady said she was shattered inside and wept profusely, and prayed a simple and short prayer to God for healing.
According to her, within minutes, she felt the sudden urge to use the toilet and took the courage to stand up on her feet but fell back on the bed.
She said she then heard the sound of her bones cackling and rearranging themselves before she fell into a deep sleep. When she woke up, she was fine and could walk again.
Laila Charani, the estranged Moroccan wife of billionaire businessman, Ned Nwoko, has tendered a public apology to him on her Instagram page.
Recall that Laila parted ways with the business mogul in November 2021 and went online to announce that their marriage is over.

Over eight months after their messy separation, Laila who has been on a long social media hiatus and deleted all her posts, has now apologized to him and his family.
She said her actions were not intentional and she allowed herself listen to outsiders a tad bit much.
“This is to my entire Ned Nwoko family. I have realised that I made mistakes that are not intentional. I listened too much to outsiders and I have decided to apologise to my husband and other members of the family. I want peace and progress in the family,” she wrote on Saturday, September 3.

Chief Obi who couldn’t curtail his excitement took to his official Instagram page to share the news with his over 300k followers.
The excited comedian joked who about his accent changing to that of a typical American citizen in less than 24 hours after his application was approved.

It may seem as though Big Brother Naija season 7 housemate, Groovy, has ended his relationship with his love interest, Phyna.
This comes after the pair had their first fight on Friday night over Phyna’s drinking habit.
Groovy had complained to Phyna about her alcohol consumption and advised her to cut back. He added that when intoxicated, she acts out of character and he wouldn’t have a repeat of what happened to his former love interest, Beauty.
Phyna was pissed that Groovy compared her to his former love interest, Beauty, and she didn’t hesitate to air her displeasure.
“If you can’t condole my drinking habit, it’s fine, you can end the relationship.. before you start comparing me to someone that on a normal day you can’t”, She told Groovy
“I apologize for comparing you to Beauty… I don’t expect you to be a violent person like Beauty after taking alcohol, but you are disrespecting the rules and boundaries we set in this relationship. And if you continue doing that, then you will push me away from you. ” Groovy then responded.
Moments later, Groovy was seen moving his things out of Phyna’s bed and asked that they give each other space.
“There is no point in maintaining this relationship if you want to drink. Let’s give ourselves breathing space. There is no need for all this back and forth. ” He said.

A while ago, Davido made a new revelation about his father, Adedeji Adeleke’s early beginning before he became a billionaire.
He made this known during a live performance on Npr’s tiny desk with the hashtag #DavidoXTinyDesk, adding that his dad was a manager at the popular fast food restaurant.
The award-winning artiste said his father has been one of his biggest inspiration, and recounted they both studied in America..
According to the Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) boss, his dad used to work at Burger King in the United States.
He also said he and his dad, Mr Adedeji studied at HBCU, a predominantly black college in the United States.
A video of a freshman at a private university in Nigeria being bullied by a senior has sparked outrage online.
The freshman is seen lying on a bed in what seems to be a school dormitory in the video, which has now gone viral, as the senior lashes him with a plank.
A Twitter user who shared the video on the micro-blogging platform claimed that the incident happened at Bingham University in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
According to the Twitter user, Jemima Nnadi, fresh students are usually subjected to such treatment in school by their seniors.
In her words,
“This video was sent by my cousin in Bingham university… This is what they go through as freshers in the university… Buullying… This student should be found and duly prosecuted.. How can a fellow student do this to another… Kindly retweet and tag necessary authorities”.
However, in an updated tweet, Jemima revealed that the incident happened a while ago and the tyrant has been expelled.

A Nigerian woman has been hailed as a hero after she nabbed and confronted a man who tried to steal from an unsuspecting passenger on a commercial bus, popularly known as “Danfo,” in Lagos.
In a video from the scene that’s currently making the rounds online, the woman who noticed the suspected thief and his accomplice from behind, stopped the bus, confronted the men, and called the attention of other passengers, who joined her to publicly humiliate them.
From her narration in the clip, it was gathered that the man and his accomplice had joined the bus and were seated at the back of the bus. He then guilefully stole an item from a woman’s bag and tried to pass it on to his accomplice when she noticed them.
She exposed them and showed the onlookers the item they had stolen.
She was heard saying,
“Na my fellow woman thing you dey thief, If you cover your face I go slap you. Wicked people all of us they suffer together. Na una dey spoil Lagos”.

A Nigerian woman has been praised online after she returned over N1 million in foreign currency and other valuables that a customer left in her shop.
According to a Twitter user, Divine Eze, who took to the micro-blogging platform to celebrate the lady, he was set to leave the country on the 22nd of August when he misplaced his file at a restaurant, which contained several valuables: 3000 euros, 200 dollars, his law school certificate, Madonna University certificate, WAEC results, as well as his IELTS result.
He said after he had left the country, he began searching frantically for the file and had thought he might have left it at the airport terminal or on a flight to Istanbul.
He, however, asked his brother to check at the restaurant where he had eaten, and to his surprise, it was found there with everything intact.
The lady who runs the restaurant at the Lagos airport had seen the file and kept it for him.
“What God cannot do, does not exist. When Left Nigeria on the 22nd of August. I Misplaced my file where I went to eat. Contents were €3000, $200 , Law school certificate, Madonna university certificate, Waec result, IELTS and etc. The lady who owns the restaurant saw & kept”, he wrote on Twitter.

Her post comes days after her senior colleague and former BBNaija season 5 housemate, Nengi’s Range Rover was allegedly confiscated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Recall that Nengi, who acquired the Range Rover in 2021 and proudly showed it off online, was in the news recently after the vehicle was reportedly seized by the anti-graft agency.
Reports had it that the car was gifted to her by a billionaire, Micheal Diongoli, who is currently being investigated by the EFCC.
Punch reports that Micheal Diongoli was arraigned before a Federal High Court in Lagos State in July for allegedly defrauding a retired Army colonel, two professors, and a co-operative society, among others, of the sum of N1, 286, 580, and 656.

The ‘Boo of the Booless’ star made this revelation via his verified Twitter handle on Friday, September 2nd.
He claimed that in order to generate money for music, he had to give up his luxury car.
He jokingly warned nosy observers to ignore him if they spotted him trekking the streets of Lekki, Lagos.
He revealed that he sold the luxury whip for eleven million naira (N11,000,000) to support his music.

In other news, singer, Chike, has shared an interesting detail about his personal life and relationship with women.
The “Out of Love” crooner said in an Instagram post that while he sings about love, he has never professed love to a woman.
Speaking on the reason for this, he stated that he doesn’t like the vulnerability that comes with confessing love to a lady.

The WhatsApp message a Nigerian lecturer left in the group chat of his project students notifying them of his resignation has caused a buzz on social media.
The lecturer, identified as Dr. Oyedele, informed his students that he won’t be available to review their project when ASUU calls off strike because he has resigned from the university.
He further disclosed that he has relocated out of the country in search of greener of greener pastures, and bade them farewell.
This comes on the heels of the lingering ASUU strike that began in February 2022 and doesn’t seem to have an end in sight.

Two women have refused to conform to the societal standards of beauty by refusing to shave their body hair.
One of the women, identified as @laetiky on Twitter, took to the platform to share photos of them flaunting their hairy bodies with confidence and pride.
She said her goal is to defy the beauty standards set for women by society that their natural body is dirty, disgusting and not good enough.

A postgraduate student has reportedly lost an opportunity to pursue a doctoral degree abroad for plagiarism.
It was gathered that the victim had gained a scholarship to pursue his PhD degree at the University of Marquette in the United States of America.
However, the university management detected that the essay he submitted with his scholarship application was plagiarised.
As a result, he was withdrawn from the institution.
A Twitter user who shared a snapshot of the letter the student received from the school revoking his admission wrote,
“Dear scholarship hopefuls, do not plagiarise your essay or writing sample. It is a big crime and has no place in academia. This person submitted a plagiarised writing sample, and his PhD admission was revoked!”
The news stirred varied reactions from social media users. While some netizens blamed the student for plagiarizing, others blamed evil forces working against him.

Big Brother Naija season 7 housemate, Doyin has revealed the disturbing incident she witnessed in the house recently.
She opened up about the incident to her colleague, Allyson, while they were having a chat on Friday afternoon.
According to her, she noticed that Sheggz was very angry in the locker room and suddenly took out his slippers and threw it at a wall.
Doyin said she was very surprised and walked up to him to ask if he was fine, and he said he was angry at everything in general, especially with the clown outfit he was ordered to wear through out the week as punishment for being the tail of house.
Speaking on the incident, Doyin said the violent behavior is quite understandable because there is no avenue to let out their anger and frustration in the house.

According to him, he acquired the 3-wheeled machine through higher purchase and the day he finalized the last payment is when he decided to celebrate.
He shared a video of him showing off his latest acquisition and congratulated himself because it is no mean feat.

We had a quick chat with Mr Lanre Olushola, and he confirmed that the movie is a screen adaptation of a book, with the name “PRISON NOTE” which contained his true life experience of being remanded unjustly. Prison note was written in 2002.
When asked what he would like for his audience to take home after seeing the movie (moral lesson) he said, “When you have liberty, make sure to make the most of it”.
The movie will be in Cinemas from September 9, 2022.
Timaya’s manager Prince Oluzor has passed away from gunshot wounds after he was shot outside a gas station in Atlanta.
38-year-old Prince Oluzor reportedly made a stop at the BP along 14th Street NW at Atlantic Drive near Georgia Tech around 9 p.m. on Wednesday evening, August 31.
He was waiting in line in the store for about a couple of minutes when he noticed some individuals trying to get into his car, so he ran outside to go after them.
As he approached, one of the suspects opened fire, shooting him.
Prince was rushed to the hospital but he succumbed to the injuries.
The suspects are yet to be arrested.
Police say there were 2 to 3 suspects last seen leaving in a gray or silver four-door sedan heading west on 14th Street NW.
