Massive reactions have trailed the tweet of a Nigerian man who disclosed that his 5-year-old daughter called him by his name to get his attention.

The man, identified as Andrew Daniels, had taken to micro-blogging platform, Twitter, to make this disclosure on Sunday, July 17.

According to him, his daughter called him by his name after he ignored her constant rambling about the things she wants.

He tweeted,

“My daughter na case. She was saying to me “ daddy I want this, I want that” I ignored her and continued what I was doing. Next thing she shouted “ Andrew are you not hearing me”?”

The tweet has garnered a lot of reactions from Nigerians who shared their two cents on his daughter’s action.

While some kicked against the five-year-old calling her dad by his name, others stated that it’s not a big deal.

Nollywood actress, Dayo Amusa has taken to social media to complain bitterly after being forced to carry a carton of rice on her head in the US.

According to her, such a thing can never happen in Nigeria because she has someone to help with menial activities or at least someone would have offered to help her.

However, in the US, she’s left with no choice but to carry her load by herself because she doesn’t have a help.

She added that America will indeed humble you because their system doesn’t respect your celebrity status as a Nigerian.

Nigerian LGBTQ rights activist, Edafe Okporo has tied the knot with his lover, Nick Giglio, in New York, America.

The US-based writer and public speaker who was born and raised in Warri, Delta state, got engaged to his white lover last year and they’ve now gotten married officially.

Edafe took to his social media pages to announce news of their marriage along with photos from the wedding ceremony.

Veteran actress cum evangelist, Eucharia Anunobi, has said those who say people shouldn’t have sex before marriage must be out of their minds.

She stated this in a video shared on her Instagram page today, July 18.

According to her, it’s pure wickedness to tell engaged couples not to have sex with each other before getting married.

She questioned how they would know if they are sexually compatible if they are not permitted to have carnal knowledge of each other before their wedding day, adding that it’s difficult for intending couples to abstain from sex when they are attracted to each other.

Speaking further, the 57-year-old actress asserted that those who insist people shouldn’t have premarital sex are either “castrated eunuchs” or “dry females” who don’t enjoy sex.

She said in part,

“The proponent of this wicked agenda of ‘no sex before marriage’ must be completely out of their minds.

“If they are not out of their mind, how can they recommend such a wicked thing?

“How do I get to know if my intended is good in bed?”

Former President of Ghana, John Mahama, has taken to Facebook to celebrate his daughter, Farida, as she turns 15 today, July 19.

This comes days after a video of Farida twerking up a storm went viral on the social media space in Ghana and sparked mixed reactions from Ghanaians.

In the video, the teenage girl who donned a black shirt and bum short, was heard saying she wants to teach her friend, Janelle, how to do the ‘up and down’ twerk.

She then started twerking up a storm in sync with a song playing in the background.

Days after the video circulated online and elicited criticisms from netizens, the former president took to his official Facebook page to celebrate his daughter whom he called the “baby of the family”.

He also expressed his love for her and told her to continue being herself and grow beautifully.

The troll reacting to a comment of Frank Edoho on a throwback video which showed his comedy performance at AY Live.

Frank Edoho replying to the comment of the troll didn’t take it lightly on him insulting him back saying his parents shouldn’t have had him.

The drama started when a social media user uploaded a throwback video of Frank performing at the show, which made him react, but the troll replied him saying, “safe to say he failed as a comedian?”

A throwback video from an interview late Nollywood actress, Ada Ameh, granted two weeks ago where she spoke about her battle with depression is now circulating online.

This comes after the sad news of her demise was announced on social media.

YabaleftOnline earlier reported that the thespian has died after she reportedly slumped and was rushed to a hospital in Delta state on Sunday, July 17.

Following the news, a video from an interview she had on TVC news recently is now trending online.

During the interview, the ‘Johnson’ star disclosed that she had been battling with depression for a long time after she lost her three sisters, three brothers and father to the cold hands of death.

According to her, the mental illness became worse after she lost her only daughter, Adazi, in 2020, as she would spend endless hours crying.

She said after losing a lot of people, she thought she would be the next person to die and sadly, the actress has now passed away.

One of the young ladies who indicated interest in getting married to veteran actor, Kenneth Aguba, has travelled from Enugu to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to see the actor.

It would be recalled that the young lady, identified as Anastasia Michael, expressed interest in the actor shortly after he was rescued from the streets by the founder of the Omega Power Ministry (OPM), Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, and gifted a fully furnished apartment in one of the church’s free estates.

The clergyman also promised to find a wife for the actor and sponsor their wedding ceremony on the condition that she must stay with him for 10 years and bear children for him.

Following which Anastasia said she was ready to get married to the actor and take care of him.

However, Aguba snubbed her proposal and said he wants to marry a virgin woman from Israel.

Well, Anastasia seems to be hellbent on getting the actor’s attention as she stormed OPM church on Sunday, July 17, wearing a white T-shirt with the actor’s face boldly printed on it and requested to see him.

When she wasn’t able to see the actor, she became frustrated and started making a scene at the church.

Veteran actress, Sola Onayiga, who played the role of Ireti in popular soap, Fuji House of Commotion, has passed on.

Seun Oloketuyi who is the Founder of Best of Nollywood Awards, disclosed that the Nollywood actress who is popularly known for her role in the popular Nigerian sitcom, Fuji House of Commotion, died on Monday morning.

“I have just been informed that the accomplished Stage and Screen Actress and Fellow of Theatre Arts Auntie Sola Awojobi Onayiga has passed on.

The actress was admitted to the ICU unit at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital two weeks ago.

The ‘Checkmate’ actress who was popularly known for her comic role died at about 3.45am today July 18 after battling a yet-to-be-disclosed ailment.

In related news, Nollywood was also thrown into another sad state following the demise of one of its beloved stars, Ada Ameh. According to reports, the actress died in Warri, Delta State around 11 pm on Sunday.

Ameh was said to have been a guest of an oil company toyshop and his family when she suddenly collapsed.

A Canada-based Nigerian man, Tosin Adeda, has denounced Osun as his state of origin after Ademola Adeleke emerged winner of the governorship election held on Saturday, July 16.

Tosin took to Twitter to announce his decision after INEC officially announced Adeleke as the winner of the much-publicized gubernatorial election.

According to him, he can’t be from a state that will be governed by an incompetent clown and joker – referring to the incoming governor.

A young man, identified as Ofonime Okokon, has allegedly been poisoned to death by his friends in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital.

Ofonime, who was a promising barber and known by the nickname Estro De Barbguy, was said to have been hale and hearty and attended to customers before he allegedly started vomiting blood and passed away shortly on Friday, July 15.

His remains have been laid to rest amid tears in Akwa Ibom state on Saturday, July 16.

Friends of the deceased have now taken to Facebook to mourn his untimely demise.

The suspect, a 23-year-old Godspower Adegheji, allegedly hacked the deceased to death with a machete.

Spokesperson of the Sate Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe, who confirmed the incident in a statement on Sunday, stated that the suspect has been arrested.

According to Edafe, the suspect killed the Gift after she mistakenly broke his IPhone while they were fighting.

Popular Nigerian Actress, Ada Ameh has been confirmed dead after she reportedly slumped and was rushed to a hospital in Delta state on Sunday, July 17.

She was said to have been a guest of an oil company’s topshot and his family when she suddenly slumped during a gathering.

The actress shared a video of her eating with the family around 12:53pm on Sunday on her official Instagram page, hours before she died.

The actress was popular for her role of Anita in the movie ‘Domitilla’ in 1996, and also for comic characters, especially in the series The Johnsons.

23-year-old man hacks girlfriend to death with machete over iPhone in Delta

A 22-year-old female student of Delta State Polytechnic identified as Ozoro, Gift Oloku, has been killed by her boyfriend over iPhone.

The incident is reported to have occurred at Etevie quarters in Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government Area of the state on Saturday, July 16, 2022.

The suspect, a 23-year-old Godspower Adegheji, allegedly hacked the deceased to death with a machete.

Spokesperson of the Sate Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe, who confirmed the incident in a statement on Sunday, stated that the suspect has been arrested.

According to Edafe, the suspect killed the Gift after she mistakenly broke his IPhone while they were fighting.

“This is Godspower Adegheji of Etevie quarters Ozoro, age 23yrs, he killed his girlfriend Gift Oloku ‘f’ aged 22yrs in ozoro using a machete after she mistakenly broke his IPhone 11pro max while they were fighting cos she went out without telling him. He has been arrested.” the spokesperson stated.

According to a report by The Nation, trouble started on Saturday night when the suspect accused the deceased of infidelity after she went out without telling him and a fight broke out between them, leading to her death.

The suspect took the corpse to the State General Hospital on Sunday morning where the victim was confirmed dead.

A source, who spoke on condition of anonymity said,

“It happened today (Saturday) at Ozoro. A guy beat his girlfriend to death with machete. People said he was high that he didn’t do it with his clear eyes because he didn’t run away after killing her, instead, he rushed her to a general hospital.

“I just confirmed that the girl is a student of the school, but the guy is not. Maybe he has graduated. The guy must have been on drugs last night It was this morning that the guy regained himself. After seeing what he had done, he rushed the girl to the hospital.”

A video footage making the round online showed the lifeless body of the deceased lying on a stretcher while the suspect was being flogged by a mob.

A video making rounds online shows the moment a dancer fell while trying to jump on popular Nigerian singer, Adekunle Gold’s body.

The incident occurred during the ‘Orente’ crooner’s performance at a concert held recently.

In the video, the overzealous dancer tried to jump on the singer’s body while he was performing but she fell on her backside instead.

Adekunle Gold then lent her an helping hand to stand up while some bouncers who seemed to have deduced that the singer wasn’t comfortable with the dancer’s aggressive dance moves, came to move her a few inches from the singer.

However, the singer who is married to Simi and has a daughter, told the bouncers to leave the dancer alone.

A while ago, Adekunle Gold opened up on the struggles he had with his health when he was much younger due to him being born with Sickle Cell Anaemia.

In an open letter to his fans, the “orente” crooner revealed that there were days when health crisis came and he wished he died becaue the pain was too much for him to bear.

One of popular singer, Wizkid’s babymama, Jada Pollock has been spotted with a big baby bump at the singer’s birthday dinner held recently.

The Grammy-award winning singer turned 32 on Saturday, July 16, and held a birthday hangout with his close friends in attendance including singer Tems, and supermodel, Naomi Campbell.

In a video footage from the dinner shared on Snapchat by an acquittance of the singer, his babymama who doubles as his talent manager, Jada Pollock, was seen with a huge baby bump presumed to be the singer’s.

While there have been speculations that Jada is heavily pregnant, it was merely rumours however, this video seems to have confirmed that the singer is expecting his fourth child.

Meanwhile, Wizkid who already has three children with different women including Jada, has not commented on the pregnancy.

As expected, netizens has flooded social media with reactions about the celebrity couple expecting their second child together.

Popular American singer and song-writer, Chris Brown has reacted to the victory of singer Davido’s uncle, Ademola Adeleke, at the just-concluded Osun governorship election.

It would be recalled that Adeleke had a landslide victory against the incumbent Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, in the gubernatorial election that held on Saturday, July 16.

Reacting to the incoming governor’s victory that has caused quite a buzz on social media, Chris Brown took to his Instagram page to celebrate the big win.

A viral video clip that’s currently serving rounds on social media shows a 15-year-old boy presenting his friend to a spiritualist to be killed for rituals.

According to reports, the boys are in JSS3 and are said to be best of friends. The young ritual killer is seen telling the spiritualist why he wants to use his friend for rituals while the victim pleads and reminds his friend that he is the only son of his parents.

However, the teenage boy refused to listen and when the spiritualist asked if he is willing to behead his friend if given a knife, he replied affirmatively.

When the young boy was asked what car he wants to drive, he replied that he plans to buy a GLK when he becomes rich from the rituals. The victim continues begging his friend and this makes the spiritualist ask why he came to the shrine if he doesn’t want to die.

The victim replied that his friend asked him to accompany him while running an errand so he followed. It’s later discovered that the would-be killer was set up by a man posing as a native doctor.

A Nigerian pastor, Evang. Gospel Agochukwu has asked practicing Christians to increase the percentage they give in Church as tithes.

Evang. Gospel, who is the founder of Shekinah Arena Gospel Ministries, Port Harcourt, stated this via a recent post on his Facebook page where he claimed that he gives 70% of his income as tithe.

There was a mild scene at a restaurant in the US after a Nigerian man brought out his phone to record the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, when he spotted him dining there.

In the viral clip, Aregbesola was taking his meal when the Nigerian man accosted him, asking to be sure he was Nigeria’s minister of interior and began to record him.

The minister asked who the individual was and expressed his annoyance at him for filming him without his permission.

However, the man behind the camera, who identified himself as being from Nigeria, asserted that he had every right to film the minister if he so desired.

An internet fraudster, popularly known as “Yahoo Boy,” faced heartbreak after his girlfriend, whom he sponsored abroad, dumped him to marry someone else.

A Twitter user, @Makavelli275, who shared the story on the micro-blogging platform, said the Yahoo Boy sent his lover to study medicine in Ukraine and covered all her expenses.

Whenever she was on vacation, he would fly her back to Nigeria, and this continued until she became pregnant for another man in Ukraine.

She eventually broke up with her boyfriend and married her baby daddy.

Billionaire businessman, Obi Cubana, has reacted after controversial singer, Portable, congratulated PDP Osun Governorship candidate, Ademola Adeleke, following his victory at the polls.

The Zazu Zeh star stirred reactions on Sunday morning after he took to his Instagram page to congratulate Davido’s uncle, Ademola Adeleke, after he was declared winner of the Osun State gubernatorial election.

Recall that Portable had previously expressed support for APC candidate Oyetola while showing off the wads of cash he was given on his visit to Oyetola’s office.

He also threw jabs at Davido for unfollowing him on Instagram for supporting Oyetola.
