Another CCTV footage that has been shared online shows the 9-year-old girl responsible for the fire that razed Ebeano supermarket in Abuja standing outside the building with her mother.

It was earlier reported that the 9-year-old suspect responsible for the fire that ravaged the supermarket on Saturday, July 17, was arrested by the police.

The minor was nabbed after a CCTV footage captured the moment she tampered with the gas section in the supermarket located at Lokogoma, Abuja, and started the fire which destroyed goods worth over N5 billion.

When she was interrogated by the police, the girl said she came to the supermarket with her mother. Watch the interrogation video here.

The new CCTV footage released online shows the 9-year-old girl standing outside the supermarket with her mum while the fire ravaged the building.

Former presidential aide, Doyin Okupe’s son, Bolu Okupe and his gay lover, Mfaomé have broken up.

The couple who met on Tinder and started dating in February have ended their relationship barely 6 months after.

According to Bolu Okupe who took to his official Instagram to announce their split he was blessed by every bit of their time together but sometimes things just don’t workout.

In his words,

“Yes we broke up. Sadly we are done & our relationship is over. I was blessed by every bit of our time together but sometimes things just don’t workout. Love & Light ”.

A quick look on Bolu’s page also shows that he has taken down all their loved-up photos and videos together.

This is coming after Bolu addressed the controversy that arose after he came out as a gay man.

He had an Instagram live session where he vehemently kicked against the anti-gay law and stated that some of the legislators who signed the law are gay themselves.

Recall that the law was signed by former President Goodluck Jonathan in 2014. The law bans homosexuality in Nigeria and attaches a 4-year jail term for anyone caught in the act. During that period, Bolu’s father, Doyun Okupe was serving as a presidential aide to Jonathan.

Speaking during the live session, Bolu said,

“With the whole 14 year law, I bet you for a fact, some people who were signing or voting for that law are gay themselves. It’s ridiculous.

If you look at it statistically, you would know for a fact that a few people who voted on that law would have been gay themselves”.

Sister to Big Brother Naija ex-housemate, TBoss, Miss Goldilocks has implored parents, especially single mothers, to be cautious of whom they leave their children with.

Goldilocks, who is a mother herself, took to her Instagram page to share a video of herself warning parents to be careful when leaving their kids with people, even those that they trust so much.

According to her, a situation she learnt about prompted her to give the warning and though she didn’t comment on the experience, she however felt it necessary to apprise every parent to watch their kids closely and always listen to what they have to say.

She wrote as caption alongside the video.

Protection is better than I am sorry.

Please don’t get me wrong. I am not saying all men and women are bad and evil but when it comes to your kids don’t risk it just to cry later. You will never know a person’s real intentions around your children. What looks like a good man and fun and playful could turn bad real quick. I personally am not for the story story. Don’t ever be to careful. Never leave your kids around any man alone. I know life will give you moments when you’re in a hurry And need to be somewhere and you need someone to watch the children but don’t make that mistake. Pay close attention to your children’s behavior and actions around the people you bring in your home. They are never too young for you to teach them what inappropriate behavior is. And be friends to your kids so they feel comfortable enough coming to you when a situation arises. I have seen so many videos and I have heard too many stories and I do not want to be a product of that. I am sorry can’t change a mistake this big. No matter how lonely you feel take your time and pray that God sends you a good man and even when he is a good man pay attention to his behavior around your children. Don’t ever turn a blind eye. Be safe is all I am saying. And if a man tells you, you are acting over protective set him straight and in my opinion watch him even closer. Any parent would bE ok with your behavior and will never question your protection . And when you go to sleep at night your kids room doors should be locked at all times. Because you would not notice when he leaves your room

Bovi in his heartfelt birthday message to his grandma, Joanna Ugboma, narrated how she prayed to God to take her life after loosing three out of her 9 children, but God spared her life.

Narrating the ordeal his grandma went through while sharing beautiful photos of his 81-year-old agile grandma, Bob wrote,

“This is Joanna. She’s 81 years old today. She had 9 children; one daughter, who was her first seed, and eight sons to follow! She tragically lost three of her children; cut short in their prime. The first happened on July 4, 2006. It was the assassins gun. In Jos! He was a lawyer. Then She lost her last born child on august 23rd, 2008 in an accident. He was a lawyer too. Then she lost her first born child and only daughter on January 25th, 2016. She had a heart attack. Her daughter was my mother, Dr. Meg Ugboma!

Joanna withdrew completely from public life. She prayed to God to take her. But God refused. He refused because she still has 6 powerful sons, several grand children and a good number of great grand children. With her smile and jokes, she still lights up our world! She speaks and understands four Nigerian languages.

The thread of a Nigerian man on Twitter which highlights the actions his scorned girlfriend took against him is gradually becoming a hot topic on the microblogging platform as tweeps have been left in awe over the lady’s actions.

Twitter user, Biyi Nifemi @thebiyitudors in the early hours of Tuesday took to Twitter to share a tweet saying “Lots of girls on here are destructive sociopaths but we are not ready for that conversation.

The tweet was then accompanied by images, screenshots and voice notes telling the story of all the things his angry girlfriend, identified as Sabena Akinbuli did to him — broken award, broken TV, broken expensive perfumes, damaged laptop…

…all done for reasons that Sabena won’t share cause as seen in screenshots of their conversation, Biyi asks why she’s so angry and in a voice note response, she says would not tell him his offence.

She’s heard saying “You see, let me tell you something, you can’t know what you’ve done to me, so me too, I will not care about what I’ll do to you

In his thread, he shares how Sabena had plans of ruining his work by sending damaging emails to his workplace but didn’t. He also shared how she hacked his phone which was much to his surprise and unblocked herself on his social media accounts.

After Emmanuel was unveiled as one of the housemates for the new season, fans trooped to social media to note that the new housemate has striking resemblance with BBNaija star, Tochi.

The 29-year-old single mother of one from Adamawa state melted the heart of many when she owned up to having her first child as a teenager.

According to her, she had her son, Nathan Jacqui Bent at age 19 with her first boyfriend. While she introduced herself to other housemates, she noted that her mother was supportive all through her journey of pregnancy and child birth.

Fresh graduate shot dead; many injured as hoodlums attack shopping mall in Ibadan

Some hoodlums who have been suspected to be cultists reportedly killed a new graduate and caused many others to sustain injuries after they attacked Shoprite Mall along Ring Road, Ibadan on Sunday night, July 25, 2021.

An eyewitness, who preferred anonymity, spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday July 26, in Ibadan. According to the witness, the deceased identified as Akinola Babatunde, was shot dead by the hoodlums at the entrance gate of the mall.

The witness revealed that people at the mall at the time, began running helter-skelter after the miscreants struck which led to the injury of an unspecified number of persons.

The witness stated that the attempt by the hoodlums to use the opportunity to break the glass door of the mall to loot was unsuccessful.

He said the quick appearance of security operatives further prevented the hoodlums from gaining access into the mall.

“I suspect those boys were members of rival cult group, trying to prove superiority here at the mall,” the witness said.

“The incident started at a Club inside the Shoprite around 8:30 p.m. and those hoodlums later pushed themselves to the entrance gate where one person was killed,” the witness said.

Spokesperson of the Oyo State Police Command, Adewale Osifeso, who confirmed the incident on Monday, said it was a case of ‘cult related violence” and investigation is ongoing.

“The incident occurred; comprehensive investigations are ongoing to apprehend all the culprits involved; update will be provided in due course,” Mr Osifeso stated.

Nigerian actress and founder of ROK TV, Mary Remmy Njoku has defended Big Brother Naija season six housemate, Angel, after the latter has been subjected to heavy bodyshaming on social media over the nature of her bosoms.

During the launch show last Sunday night, Angel was the first female housemate to be introduced to viewers for the Shine Ya Eye edition of the reality TV show — appearing on stage, Angel donned a rather revealing dress which had a plunging neckline that had her boobs on display.

This resulted to her being heavily bodyshamed on social media with a number of people having one or two derogatory things to say about her body.

In reaction to this, actress Mary Remmy Njoku asked the guys who are bodyshaming Angel if their mother’s breasts haven’t fallen too.

She also added that if men’s penises were as visible as women’s breasts, the world would be a better place. She wrote in full,

According to him, he needs money to facilitate his ministry work so anyone who gives to the cause will be supernaturally blessed. He gave this condition as a sure way of partaking of the blessing and grace he carries.

Thereafter, he encouraged his church members to be generous with their seeds and donations to the church.

Oko Iyabo Movie: Lagos state to prosecute Yomi Fabiyi for contempt

Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) has concluded its plans to prosecute controversial Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi, for contempt of court over the production of ‘Oko Iyabo.’

The actor who has been quite vocal of his support for his embattled colleague, Baba Ijesha, released the controversial movie as the alleged sexual assault case of the latter continues in court.

The movie generated a myriad of backlash as those who have seen it say it was about the sexual assault on Princess’ foster daughter. On Monday morning, Baba Ijesha’s trial resumed in Lagos.

While in court, the DPP director and prosecution counsel, Olayinka Adeyemi, told the court that Yomi made a movie from the facts of Baba Ijesha’s alleged sexual assault case, using the real names of the defendants and the survivor of the case.

“Despite the warnings of this honourable court, an actor called Yomi Fabiyi went ahead and made a movie about the facts of this case.Oko Iyabo: Lagos state to prosecute Yomi Fabiyi for contempt

He used the real names of the parties and witnesses in this matter in the movie. Our application is to exclude him, his privies and his agents from proceedings in court.

He is not in court at the moment but his representatives may be in court. This is contempt of court and we intend to prosecute him and bring him before this court” the DPP prosecution counsel told the court

The presiding judge, Oluwatoyin Taiwo, responded and said the matter will be investigated.

“This case is subjudice and you are not to be making videos and disparaging comments on social media. This needs to be investigated, let’s see whether it is true, she said

However, one of the counsels of Baba Ijesha, Dada Awosika, told the court that he has seen the movie and that it has no correlation with the ongoing case. According to him, the movie is about the controversy between two artists, Yomi Fabiyi and Iyabo Ojo and they are not involved in the case.

Yomi is yet to react to this development.

The arsonist lady who was captured by CCTV footage setting the Ebeano supermarket in the Lokogoma area of Abuja ablaze, turns out to be a 9-year-old little girl.

The inferno razed the multi-million Naira shopping mall all night on Saturday, July 17, 2021 into the early hours of the next day.

While the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained at the time, a CCTV footage was eventually released and it shows a young girl dressed in a black T-Shirt and jeans, walking down an aisle of the supermarket where lighters and gas cylinders are displayed on the shelves, before lighting up a fire that would later engulf the entire building.

The little after starting the fire, walked away briskly and vanished out of sight.

Comedienne, Princess has explained her relationship with Nollywood actor, Baba Ijesha who is presently facing trial over alleged sexual molestation of a minor.

The trial of Nigerian actor, Omiyinka Olanrewaju better known as Baba Ijesha, for the alleged sexual assault of foster daughter of Nigerian comedienne, Princess resumed today, Monday July 26, 2021.

During plenary, the comedienne told the court that she met Baba Ijesha at an event in 2008 and they decided to collaborate on comedy skits, She disclosed that the defendant wooed her during their working relationship but she declined his proposal.

Princess claimed she and Baba Ijesha got closer after the crash of her marriage in 2013, she sponsored his education and granted him several other favours.

The presiding judge, Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo, adjourned the case till July 27 after Princess’s legal team played primary video evidence against Baba Ijesha.

Baba Ijesha was arrested in April for allegedly sexually assaulting Princess, 14-year-old foster since she was seven. He is being tried on a six-count charge which includes sexual assault by penetration, indecent treatment of a child, and sexual assault.

Sharing new photos of him with the staff 15 years later, Ebuka wrote,

“15 years ago, I entered and exited the #BBNaija house holding this traditional staff I borrowed from my dad. I went several weeks without my name being mentioned for nomination and the viewers said the staff was my jazz. Well, its back again!!! Let’s see what good luck it brings me this season .”

Justice for slain jobseeker, Ini Umoren: Akpan pleads guilty to murder, denies rape

Uduak Frank Akpan, alleged murderer of Akwa Ibom job seeker, Iniubong Ephraim Umore was arraigned at the Akwa Ibom state High Court in Uyo, today, July 26th.

Uduak who was arraigned alongside his father today however pleaded guilty to the murder of Iniubong Umoren, while he denied raping her.

Recall that Akpan lured the 26-year-old graduate of University of Uyo (UNIUYO) with a fake job interview on April 29, killed her and buried her remains in a shallow grave in his father’s compound.

Ms Umoren was confirmed dead on April 30 and buried on Friday at her hometown, Nung Ita, Ikot Essien in Oruk Anam Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.

Meanwhile, Frank Uduak Akpan, in an interview with newsmen claimed he killed his victim in self-defense.

Frank, in his not-so-convincing side of the story, said Ini attacked him and he defended himself by hitting her, and the blow led to her death.

“I invited Iniubong Umoren for a job and I asked her whether she can work in a farm as secretary. I told her that I wanted to sleep with her first. She agreed on a condition that I will use condom which I also agreed to.

She became furious when I started removing the condom, and she attacked me. I was bleeding so I needed to defend myself by hitting her which lead to her death”. He said.

An alleged schoolmate of Big Brother Naija housemate, Maria Chike, has accused her of reducing her age on the reality show.

This comes barely 48 hours after the reality show commenced. When she was introducing herself to her fellow housemates, Maria revealed that she is 29 years old but the age on her international passport is different.

In reaction to her statement, her alleged schoolmate with Twitter handle @funabynature, called her out for allegedly falsifying her age.

According to the Twitter user, she graduated from Feddy (believed to be their secondary school) in 2004 so it’s not possible that she is 29.

“Nkechi Chike that graduated Feddy in 2004 went on big brother to say she’s 29?” he wrote.

Another Tweep asked if she increased or reduced her real age and @funabynature replied saying, “Younger ke? She’s at least 34-35.”

In less than 24 hours after BNaija season 6 housemate, Maria Chike entered the Big Brother house her fans have agreed on an official fanbase name.

The official handler of Maria Chike’s Instagram page announced her fanbase name as “Marudites” today, Monday, July 26.

The handler noted that the name “Marudite’ represents knowledgeable, loving and beautiful people and was coined from ‘Maria’, ‘Erudite’ and Aphrodite.

The post shared on Maria’s official Instagram page reads, “It’s official fam! We are Marudites We coined this from ‘Maria’, ‘erudite’ and aphrodite. So basically, it represents knowledgeable, loving and beautiful people. #BBNaija #MariaBBNaija #Marudites”.
