An aggrieved Nigerian man has taken to Twitter to lament, after he was allegedly stopped from boarding his flight because he uses a wheelchair.

According to the man identified as Chike Okogwu he had booked a 7:20pm flight from Abuja to Lagos but was rescheduled for 9:05pm.

He further revealed that after he got his boarding pass he was intercepted from boarding at the Abuja airport, because a “new policy” forbids them from carrying people with wheelchair.

Narrating the incidence, he tweeted,

“This is indeed the height of discrimination against persons with Disabilities in Nig. I booked a 7:20PM flight from Abj-Lag which was reschdld to 9.05PM. I got my boarding pass only for DanaAir to say a new policy forbids carryn us with wheelchair”.

Okogwu who described the incidence as discrimination against people living with disabilities, revealed that he refused to be intimidated and this turned physical.

Sharing a photo of his bleeding hand and blood on his boarding pass, he wrote,

“It’s turning bloody here in Abuja Airport. If we die, we die. I say no to discrimination of persons with Disabilities in Nig.”

“I met with all their conditions as displayed on their website please. Bought 2 Biz Class Tickets as you can see. Pls never allow anybody trample on your rights. I am only disabled by a messed up system but very highly exposed, cerebral & compassionate.” He added.

Grieving father, Sylvia Ufiem-Nnachi has called on the security agencies in the state to conduct a professional investigation into the alleged abduction and murder of his 2-year-old daughter.

It was earlier reported that the body of Rosemary Chinyere Nnachi was found floating in a river at Nnodo community, in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi state capital.

The deceased went missing on Saturday, December 12, when she attended an end of the year event with her parents at a club in Nnoro community.

It was gathered that her body was found 48 hours later floating in a stream far from the club. Her parents are said to be members of the club.

In an interview with PUNCH, 44-year-old Nnachi narrated the events leading to the disappearance and death of his two-year-old daughter.

He also disclosed how a particular member of the club prevented security men and members of the Ebonyi State Neighbourhood Watch from conducting a search at the party venue. He, however, revealed that he doesn’t know if this particular member had an ulterior motive for disrupting the search.

When asked if he will ever recover from the tragic incident, Nnachi said he can’t recover from it because the pain is too much for him to bear.

In his words,

“I don’t think so. This is really too much for me. This is the second death that has kept me wondering and shivering. The first was the death of my mother, which left me so emotionally and psychologically crippled and again, Chinyere Rosemary’s death. This is too much to bear. I can’t recover from it. These two deaths are tragic for me. If God chooses to comfort me and my family, let Him do so.”

Artist promoter, James Atuma has opined that broke men are loyal only because they cannot afford other women.

According to James the loyalty of a broke man to his partner is conditional. Adding that he’s not flirting with other women because he doesn’t have the resources to do so.

The brand promoter berate women who think their relationship is genuine because the man is broke. He noted that the decision to be with one woman by a broke man has nothing to do with loyalty.

Taking to his Instagram page, he wrote,

Popular rapper, Zlatan Ibile has been dragged by social media users after sharing a video of himself “playing” with his son, Toluwalase Shiloh.

The artiste welcomed his son with a 23-year-old London based woman, Davita Lamai earlier in the year and the little boy has been the apple of his eyes.

In a video shared via Zlatan’s verified Instagram page, his son was sucking on his feeding bottle on a sofa and the Zanku singer suddenly jumped roughly on the sofa, thus startling his son.

He also dragged the feeding bottle from his hand and started sucking on it, which made the little boy cry.

The video, which was meant to be a comic relief to his followers, was met with mixed reactions from his fans.

The Special Adviser to President Buhari, Femi Adesina, has said that Nigerians should be thankful that bombings in the country does not happen on a daily.

The senior media aide to the president said this in reaction to the concerns by Nigerians about the upsurge of insecurity in the country during an interview on Channels Television’s ‘Sunday Politics’.

According to Femi, the country had recorded six bombs in one day but since President Buhari took office, the bombings and killings have decreased.

He said,

“Yes, there are times, a week, two weeks even a month that you don’t have all these things happening. There was a time in the immediate past when they happened daily several times. You talked of one bombing within three or four days. There was a time in this country when bombs went off like firecrackers every day.

“There could be five, six bombings in one day. Now, you can have two, three months with no single case of bombing. Let’s be thankful for small mercies. Any mercies we receive, let’s be thankful for it, and let’s not dwell on negatives alone.

“Life is taking the rough and smooth together. So, sometimes we see when things go on for days, for weeks with no negative developments, let us emphasise those ones… We have challenges but these are not the constants in the country.”

Reality show star, Tolani Shobajo popularly known as TolaniBaj, has lambasted an MC who tribe-shamed her at her love-interest, Prince’s homecoming party.

A home coming party befitting for a king was thrown for former BBNaija housemate, Prince Nelson, in Owerri, Imo state capital over the weekend.

During the party, the over-excited MC threw a shade at TolaniBaj after he referenced the “loveship” between Prince and Tolanibaj that crashed on arrival.

According to the Master of Ceremony, when Prince was falling for TolaniBaj on the reality show, the Igbos prayed fervently so he doesn’t end up “going to Yorubaland” and that he’s grateful “the wishes our fathers” followed him and he came back to Igboland safely.

Elderly man dies in guest house after checking in with his 25-year-old side chick (photo)

A 66-year-old man, identified as William Agyei was reportedly found dead in a guest house after checking in with a 25-year-old lady believed to be his ‘side chick’.

It was learnt that the elderly man checked in at the guest house in Ghana with his alleged side chick, but was found dead the next day, and the lady no where to be found.

Agyei was said to have driven his Red Toyota Corolla with registration number ER 1614 -17 to the guest house with the lady on Saturday, December 19th, 2020.

According to the receptionist, she found the man lying motionless the next day, Sunday, December 20th, when she forced her way into the room to clean after knocking for severally with no one answering.

Kasapa FM Online reported that the said the lady who checked in with the man was nowhere to be found when the receptionist went to the room.

The owner of the guest house in Koforidua in the Eastern region reported the incident to the Effiduase police.

Investigators who went to the scene reportedly found several sex enhancement drugs including viagra for men, deep heat spray, unirob polar ice, bendroflumethiazide tablets, and several other used tablets were seen in a bag found in the room.

Other items retrieved include, a red bag containing the personal clothes of the deceased, some regalia and a black handbag containing an amount of GH¢2000.

During an external inspection of the body, no marks of violence were found except foaming on the mouth.

The body has since been deposited at the St Joseph’s Hospital Morgue for preservation while awaiting autopsy.

Missing young woman found dead with stab wounds and her pubic hair shaved off in Enugu community

A young lady identified as Egbe Ogocukwu Rita, who was recently declared missing, has been found dead.

According to a Facebook user, Chijinkem Ugwuanyi who shared the news on the [platform, Rita was found dead with her multiple stab wounds and some of her pubic hair removed.

Rita who went missing December 12th when she went for a condolence visit at a neighboring village, Amukpa Ogbozala, Opi, was reportedly found dead on Saturday, December 19th, in the same community in Enugu state.

Her death was confirmed by a member of the community, Engineer Nnabuike, who initially posted the missing person report.

This is coming after a man with hunchback, Suberu Dada, who was also declared missing few weeks ago was reportedly found dead in a suspected case of ritual killing.

The Kogi born Dada was kidnapped on Nov 22nd and his decaying body was found today, Dec 8th, at Iruvochinomi, Ege, Adavi LGA in Kogi state.

Kogi politician, Natasha Akpoti had taken to Facebook two days after his kidnap to share a “missing person” post, begging the public to reach out if they have information that could lead to his rescue.

According to her he was “abducted by gunmen in a black SUV while waiting to cross the road leading to Oride mosque, beside St. Paul’s Church Obeiba, Ihima.”

It is suspected that Suberu Dada was murdered for ritual purposes because of his hunchback.

Little boy, hope, who was branded a witch by his family and left to starve to death, was the best man at a wedding of one of the team members that rescued him five years ago in Eket, Akwa Ibom.

Hope was rescued by Danish aid, Anja Ringgren Loven and her team on January 31, 2016, after he was found wandering the streets for eight months.

Ms Loven on Sunday, shared photos of a stylish and handsome Hope at the wedding of Land of Hope’s Education Officer, which took place last weekend.

She wrote;

“In exactly 40 days today we are going to celebrate that Hope was rescued 5 years ago. To be exact, Hope was rescued on the 30 of January 2016.

I cannot wait 40 days to share these pictures of Hope. He is simply to cute and handsome. Last week Hope was best man at Don Udowan, our Education officer’s wedding and Hope just shined like a little star.

Looking back, it’s hard to believe that 5 years have already passed. I remember the day we rescued Hope as if it was yesterday.

A Gambian man identified as Prince Bubacarr Aminata Sankanu has welcomed his first biological child with his third wife after two failed marriages.

Sankanu, a filmmaker who suffered from ”low sperm count” took to Facebook on Saturday, December 19, to share his inspiring story and encourage men in similar situation not to lose hope.

According to him, his fertility issue was the side effect of intensive medication he took following Tuberculosis ailment he suffered in the early 2000s.

His post on Facebook reads ;

GOD’S TIME IS THE BEST, ALAS, I AM A BIOLOGICAL FATHER, DEFEATING MALE FERTILITY ISSUES.

Being childless in our African society can be brutally traumatizing. My first and second marriages failed due to delayed child-bearing.

In the proverbial “third time lucky” context, my current legitimate wife, Fatimah Sankanu Gerew and I are blessed with our first beautiful common biological daughter on Friday, 04th December 2020. Our child was born at the prestigious Vincenz Palloti Hospital (VPH) in Bergisch Gladbach-Bensberg, Germany. VPH is a UNICEF and WHO certified baby-friendly hospital.

Our daughter’s official names are: PRINCESS BALAQESHA BUBACARR SANKANU. Balaqesha is the local Sarahulleh (Soninke) variation of the QUEEN OF SHEBA or Bilkis in Arabic.

The big traditional naming ceremony will take place in Sotuma Sere, Jimara District, URR, The Gambia, sometime in 2021.

To all the men who share my fate in delayed reproduction, DO NOT LOSE HOPE. Society will stigmatize and ridicule one as impotent and so on. Remain faithful and maintain a positive state of mind. Find out the cause of the reproduction delays and seek help.

My fertility issue of low sperm count was the side effect of intensive medication following Tuberculosis ailment in the early 2000s. Thanks to continuous detoxification of my body coupled with a healthier living standard, I overcame the problem.

Our society has a primitive way of seeing low sperm count as impotence even if erectional function remains perfect.

I have done my part in breaking the taboo on male fertility in our society as a way of inspiring others not to lose self-confidence.

Man cancels wedding fixed for this month because his bride-to-be commented on Facebook that she can cheat on her husband for N1 million

A man has reportedly cancelled his wedding scheduled to hold in December, after he found out that his bride-to-be revealed that she can cheat on her husband for N1 million.

A Twitter user with handle @smiley_wise shared the story, she revealed that the bride-to-be took to the comment section of a Facebook post, which reads; “Can you cheat on your husband for N1million”.

In response, the lady who was billed to get married to her heartthrob in December 2020 replied “yes” to the post.

Unfortunately for the lady, someone who knew her and the man she was supposed to marry, took a screenshot of the comment and sent it to him.

On seeing the comment, the groom immediately called off the wedding plans.

The Twitter user wrote;

In a video that’s begun serving rounds on Nigerian social media, the lady is seen loosing her cool after finding out that a bone-straight wig is one of the gifts her boyfriend acquired for her.

Two arrested for gang-raping and filming 19-year-old girl in Ogun state

Two men with names, Damilare Oyeniyi, 30, and Emmanuel Okori, 20 have both been apprehended by the Ogun state police command for allegedly gang-raping a 19-year-old girl and making a recording of her nude.

The suspects who committed the crime on December 12, 2020 in Sango area of Ogun, were arrested four days later by policemen attached to the Sango Divisional Police Office.

Ogun police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi said the suspects were arrested following a report lodged at the Sango Police Station by the victim who is their neighbour.

Oyeyemi said,

“Upon the report, the DPO Sango division, CSP Godwin Idehai, detailed his detectives to go after the suspects and bring them to book.

“The investigative effort of the detectives paid off on December 16, 2020, when the duo were eventually arrested.

“On interrogation, the two suspects confessed to the crime.

“They confessed that they videoed her nude, which they used to threaten her not to report or else the video would be posted on social media.

“The state Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and prosecution.”

Popular American singer and songwriter, Chis Brown has praised fast rising Nigerian singer, Tems for her unique talent.

The international music artiste took to his Instagram page to shower praises on the Nigerian Alt-R&B singer, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems.

Taking to Instagram he wrote,

Popular Nigerian actor, Charles Inojie was reportedly robbed at gunpoint in Lagos traffic on Sunday night, December 20th.

Fortunately, he was unhurt from the experience, but lost his personal belongings.

His colleague, Chinedu Ikedieze took to social media to announce the news, as he urged Nigerians to be vigilant and extra careful this yuletide season.

Taking to Instagram, he wrote,

“@Charlesinojie was robbed at gun point last night, inside Lagos traffic. Until he retrieves his personal phone line you can reach him on..Thanks and please be careful.

“He is fine as he was unhurt from the harrowing experience of last night.
PLS BE CAREFUL OUT THERE”.
