May we be surrounded by people with wisdom, & human sympathy in our helpless moment, & not those more interested in creating content out of our situation – Alex Ekubo writes as he grieves over Junior Pope and 4 others who lost their lives in a boat accident
Nigerian actor Alex Ekubo has reacted via his Instagram page to the news of his colleagues who died in a boat accident.

Recall that Junior Pope and 4 others had lost their lives in a boat accident while making their way to a movie location in Anambra.

Alex wrote on his page;
“What is the meaning of life?
One minute we are here, the next minute we are not.
The tragedy of the boat accident that happened days ago, still has me shocked to my bones.
While I was celebrating my birthday, others were fighting for their lives.
I haven’t been able to attend any event or function properly since then, as I can only imagine the unbearable pain & utter confusion the families of all those whose lives were lost are in.
It’s incomprehensible the amount of senseless & avoidable deaths we are faced with each day in this country.
More shocking & heartbreaking is the merry-go-round during a critical emergency, the sheer display of ignorance, nonchalance & high-level illiteracy.
May we be surrounded by people with wisdom, & human sympathy in our helpless moment, & not those more interested in creating content out of our situation.
Dear God, please accept the souls of Jnr Pope, Abigail Frederick, Precious Oforum, Joseph Anointing & any other, forgive them their sins & grant them eternal passage to heaven.
Please oh Lord, give their families divine strength to bear this irreplaceable loss.
If they’ve ever needed you, they need you now.
To those who survived this mishap, or are affected by it directly or indirectly & are dealing with the trauma, please God comfort them on every side.
To us all, let this be a reminder that life is fickle & but a fleeting mirage.
May we tread carefully & go through life knowing that none of us knows which day will be our last.
Yesterday it was #MohBad today is #JnrPope&Co tomorrow it can be anyone.
Death is final, Life is fragile.
What is the meaning of life? One minute we are here, the next minute we are not. 🕊️ 💔”
He is not getting any five-star treatment, He follows the same rules and regulations just like every other inmate – NCoS gives an update about Bobrisky’s stay in prison
The Nigerian Correctional Service has given an update about how Bobrisky is being treated in prison.
An official of the prison who spoke with Punch mentioned that the crossdresser is not getting any five-star treatment.

Recall that Bobrisky was sentenced to six months imprisonment over the counts of naira abuse and money laundering.
Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos while sentencing the internet personality, said the judgement would impede others who are found abusing and mutilating the naira notes.
A source informed the publication that; “Bobrisky made a public declaration that he was a male” also court proceedings are public records.
The prison official also revealed to Punch that the crossdresser was taken to prison after the judgement and he was examined at the point of admission.
Adding that, no realignment of gender or genital organ was discovered as his male biological features were the same.
He also mentioned in the publication that;
“After that, a cell was allocated to him, and he had a certain number of inmates with him. A bed space was also allotted to him. It is just like a boarding house where your housemaster will issue you your personal belongings. When it is time for class, he attends. When it is time for food, he will go and get his portion. The same goes with prep and light out. He observes all these without preference. He has been going about his business just like other inmates since he was brought in here. He is not getting any five-star treatment and is not being protected from anybody. He follows the same rules and regulations just like every other inmate. Single cells of isolation cells are to prevent outbreaks of communicable diseases. In a male prison, homosexuality is outlawed and it is a grievous offence. Sodomy or homosexuality, is frowned upon here in the custodial centre. So any inmate that tries to violate him will face the law”

The woman had been waiting for the fruit of the womb for more than 8 years. This is wickedness. Anyway, he’s having a trial in the court and has been arrested for the same offence again. He was arrested for one chance robbery and was charged to court. The court granted him bail, and he started one chance again while on bail before he was arrested by IRT men. He is always after ladies or women. So women or ladies are to be careful. They are always 3 men in the car when they want to strike. Avoid them, and take note of their antics.”

“I don’t understand the h@te towards her” – Jane Mena reacts to att@ck on her friend, Korra Obidi
Nigerian dancer and influencer, Jane Mena has voiced worries about the recent assault her friend and fellow dancer, Korra Obidi, suffered.
Recall that Korra Obidi shared on her Instagram page that she was assaulted by a black lady on her way out of her apartment in the UK.

Jane expressed her curiosity on her Instagram page as to why someone could be so evil and carry such animosity or jealousy towards another human.
She wrote; “I would never understand the h8 and Envy some women have towards @korraobidi I never understands it. She doesn’t have it all, nobody does have it all so why the jealousy?
We are all women and suppose to look after each other no matter the situation we find ourselves in. What did a mother of Two in her own world and hustling for her daily bread do to you people. So much evil in y’all’s heart for a life that can be taken any moment, why?
Omo why so much wickedness for a life that’s can be cut short any moment. I always believe in Never wishing anyone pain. That’s not who we are. If anyone causes you pain, just know, they must have pain inside. We Wish them healing. That’s what they truly need because Sometimes we want to reciprocate people’s disrespect but then we look at their lifestyle and how life treats them… that is enough punishment and that’s On God.
I want you all to know that the older we get, the more you realize how precious life is. Nobody has any desire for drama, conflicts or stress. We just want to live a happy and hopeful life and we will always keep doing that. I love you so much KORRA and I will always be there and here for you.
You have come out from sh!t so much stronger and that’s why I call you QUEEN. I love you till the end of it all QUEEN. Please to her dearest Koreans, let’s pray for her speedy recovery even though we know Korra na lion. Love to you all.”

“Grammy is an American award, we need to start supporting our own” – Joeboy
Popular Nigerian singer, Joseph Akinwale, popularly known as Joeboy has urged his African colleagues to support regional award ceremonies instead of international ones.
In an exclusive interview with 3Music TV, he made the plea, claiming that the Grammy, an accolade that many artists aspire to receive, is an American honour despite their widespread acclaim.

The “Alcohol” crooner declared that it is now necessary for Afrobeats artists to cherish and support African award shows more than international ones.
Joeboy pushed for African artists to strengthen institutions on the continent and make sure they develop in line with those that are recognised worldwide.
The 26-year-old singer said; “I think we should unapologetically be ourselves and also empower our institutions here in Africa.
But we make it look like that it is the biggest award an African artiste can ever get. Why don’t we show up for our awards and plan it properly?
If they did not show up for their awards, it won’t be as great as it is now. I know there is money to be made there but we need to return home and invest.
At the end of the day, we will all have to come back. So it is all about making sure our infrastructure and institutions are growing.”
“I couldn’t get a job in Nigeria because of my tattoo” – Asake
Popular Nigerian singer, Ahmed Ololade, better known as Asake has said that getting a job in Nigeria is tough for those with tattoos on their bodies.
Asake made this claim in an article published in the most recent issue of GQ magazine. He recounted how stereotypes prevented him from working for any organisation or conducting business due to his neck tattoo.

In his words;
“In Nigeria, if you have a tattoo on your neck, you can’t work anywhere. I can’t work for any company. I can’t sell anything.”
Asake discussed his unexpected ascent to fame and pointed out that, contrary to popular belief, he did not become an “overnight success” in the Nigerian music industry.
The “Yoga” crooner said that he had been trying for years to achieve success and that he had only recently arrived at his goal.
He said; “You have to understand: I got there in two years, but I’ve been working for years. People are counting the days you’re successful. They don’t count the days you’ve been working towards it. Nobody gives a fvck about that.”
Oladips speaks on his rumored demise, insists he d!ed and resurrected
Nigerian singer Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji, better known as Oladips, has expressed dissatisfaction at the fact that many still doubt his assertion that he died and rose from the dead.

Recall that while many believed Oladips had died, it was subsequently confirmed that he was still alive after initial reports of his death from last year.
He acknowledged in the interview that he had a near-death experience, but when he talks about it, people still look at him in doubt.
He said:
“I came back to life to see all the chaos and disbelief. But what can I do? What has happened has happened. How many people can I sit with and explain to?
Because, obviously, a lot of people still think my death is a prank. Every time I tried to explain that it was a near-death experience and not a prank, people always show disbelief. But those who are close to me know that I died and resurrected.”
