Worldeconomics.com, a renowned organization in the UK dedicated to producing financial analysis of the world economy, has declared that Nigeria’s economy is out of recession.

The organisation equally opines that “Monthly sales continue to pick up sharply in April.”
Further findings via their website stated that this development was reflected in the growth of its April Sales Managers’ Index, SMI, for Nigeria, which rose to 58.5 per cent from 56.7 per cent in March.
According to reports on their website, the organisation said: “April Sales Managers’ Index, SMI, data suggests that the Nigerian economy is continuing to grow out of the recession which saw 10 months of consecutive contraction in 2016. “The Market Growth Index grew to 58.5 in April as the monthly Sales Growth Index ticked up to 56.7, its highest value since 2015 and representative of rapid growth. Price inflation for April, which is tracked by the Prices Charged Index, remained high at 58.7 – indicative of high levels of inflation. A slowing trend has, however, developed for the past nine months.”
The Edo state Police command have arrest three lectures of the Ambrole Ali University, Ekopma for allegedly involving themselves in cult-related activities.
Haliru Gwandu, the state’s Commissioner of Police disclosed the development to journalists in Benin on Tuesday, adding that firearms were recovered from the arrested lecturers.
Among those arrested was a professor, from whom a double-barrel gun, single-barrel gun and one pump action gun were allegedly recovered. Punch Reports.
The police commissioner said, “The professor was arrested. He was granted bail. The case is under investigation.”
Gwandu’s statement came less than a week after the command refuted reports that its operatives allegedly brutalised the Dean of the Faculty of Law of the university, Prof. Sunday Edeko.
The commissioner expressed displeasure over the high rate of cultism around the institution located in Esan West Local Government Area, which he said had claimed many lives.
He said there had been distress calls from members of the university community that cult groups were unleashing mayhem in the area.
“It was a distress call from the community; the university community made a call that cult groups were killing and they killed so many.
“And at the time when they (policemen) went to inspect a site, they discovered more than 14 beheaded students at that particular time,” he said.
He, however, vowed that the police would ensure that the leaders and members of cult groups in the area were arrested and charged to court.
Gwandu said, “We have a lot of issues with that particular university. There are some senior lecturers that were apprehended with firearms.
“So, we are going to arrest those who are mentoring and those who are real cultists and charge them to court. There is no going back.”

A Nigerian Lady, simply identified as Oriaku Okwesili Eze has shared details of how a major tragedy was averted aboard a flight in Port-Harcourt.
According to her, the Aero Flight she was on, which was headed to Lagos suffered a mechanical fault just 20 minutes after take off.

An apostle in Zimbabwe has been publicly shamed after alleged sex conversation with a college student was leaked.

Daily Mail reports that a 42 year old Chinese man has been rushed to the hospital after he broke his penis during a night of vigorous sex with his wife.
According to reports by the Media house, the man, 42, identified as Dai from the Guangxi’s Nanming city was rushed to hospital with symptoms of ‘eggplant deformity’ with swelling, pain and dark purple bruising, following the incident and doctors had to perform an emergency surgery on him.
Dai was said to be having sex with his wife on the night of April 8, 2017, when his penis snapped after he heard a cracking sound and was rushed to a local hospital for emergency treatment before being transferred to Guangxi Minzu Hospital at 4 am.
Doctors found that Dai’s penis was at an odd angle and was in a swollen shape that made it look like an eggplant. He was diagnosed with a penile fracture after tearing a sponge-like erectile tissue called corpora cavernosa.
According to doctors, blood flows into corpora cavernosa that run along the penis and making it hard during an erection.
However, any vigorous intercourse may tear the tissue, meaning blood bursting inside the penis and causing painful swelling.
“When the man arrived at the hospital, his penis was badly swollen, discolored, and protruding at an odd angle. The doctors diagnosed the man with a penile fracture,” a statement by the hospital said.
Sex experts have disclosed that a penile fracture is actually a tear of the corpora cavernosa, an erectile tissue that runs along the penis, adding that such incidents are common occurrences in men aged 20 to 40 years old, under vigorous or violent sexual intercourse.

“If you don’t receive something directly from a killer, he will not give you – because he wants to be recognised. They like praise; that is their reward because they have no reward from God.”
Joshua stressed that offerings in the church are between the worshipper and God. “What comes from God goes to God. If what you have is from God, it will go to God – you don’t need to have any recognition from the pastor. Whatever you want to give God, you give it,” he surmised.
The pastor then impressed on people the need to consider the force behind any action, not merely the action itself.
“The force behind your action determines where the action comes from… It’s not what you see but the force behind what you see that matters,” he stated.

Chukwuemeka Ezeugo a.k.a. Rev. King is set to be executed alongside other inmates on death row in a Lagos State Prison.
The state’s attorney general and commissioner for justice, Adeniji Kazeem made this known at a news conference on Tuesday, April 18th.
Adeniji described the development as an instruction from the state’s Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.
He said that the state had begun reviewing the matter after prison officials complained of the highhandedness of some death row inmates who felt that they had certain rights which excluded them from being executed.
The Attorney-General assured that, unlike previous administrations, Governor Ambode would sign the necessary documents to execute those on death row.
Speaking in a PM News report, Kazeem said, “Very soon, you will see the action of this government on that issues, we are reviewing the case on Rev. King and others on death row.
He added, “Lots of people are on death row, Rev. King is not the only one on death row, it is on the instruction of Ambode that I visited the prisons recently and I discuss the issue with the prison officials and they expressed their concerns.
“We are moving in that direction of signing. The prison officials said we need to look at that seriously. Those on death row are beginning to think they have some rights. We are going to move in that direction, you will hear from me, but I will not tell you the exact date.”
The Supreme Court had on February 27, 2016 affirmed the death sentence passed on King by the Appeal Court.
The condemned cleric was arraigned before the Lagos High Court in Ikeja on September 26, 2006, on six counts of murder of a member of his church, Ann Uzoh, and attempted murder of five other members.
He was said to have poured petrol on the deceased and the five other victims and set them on fire for allegedly committing fornication.
Uzoh died on August 2, 2006, 11 days after the incident, as a result of the injuries which she sustained from the burns.
She was said to have been 65 per cent burnt in the fire incident. The trial judge, Justice Olubunmi Oyewole (now a Justice of the Court of Appeal), had in his judgement delivered on January 11, 2007, convicted Ezeugo and sentenced him to 20 years imprisonment on each of the five counts of attempted murder and death sentence for murder. – Punch.

A woman who was told that she was infertile after being born with two sets of reproductive organs is now expecting a miracle baby.
Doctors had said Krista Schwab, 32, would never get pregnant because of complications caused by her rare condition called uterus didelphys.
The horse trainer, who was diagnosed when she was 12, has two vaginas, two cervixes and two wombs. But as she considered IVF, she then discovered to her amazement she was expecting. Krista from Washington, US, said:
“After being diagnosed with uterine didelphys at 12 years old, I knew I had two uteruses and two cervixes.
“But when I was 30 I found out that I also have two vaginas that are side by side.
“For so many years my husband and I cried, prayed and dreamed of having a child. We both had so many breakdowns because we wanted one so much.
“After probably 1,000 negative pregnancy tests – it got to the point where I gave up wishing anymore.”I normally pray and hope whilst I wait, but this time I lost all hope and didn’t bother…
“Then I saw it – it was positive. I hit the floor crying.””There’s so many prude comments I get about my vaginas, but what is the upsetting is the link to my infertility.
“The year I was diagnosed, every single doctor told me that it would be impossible for me to have kids.
When I met my husband at 20 years old, I told him I couldn’t have kids.
“So the whole time I’ve been together with my husband we didn’t use protection.”
Krista is now five months pregnant and expecting a baby boy which is growing in her left womb. Most women with uterine didelphys have to have C-section but Krista is hopeful she might not need one.
