Mike Godson Reveals Qualities Needed From Future Bride

MIKE GODSON

Nollywood fine Boy, Mike Godson is a fast rising actor that took over the industry with his acting prowess dusting aside the likes of Jim Iyke and Ramsey Noah.

His good looks and body structure is also a center of attraction which makes many ladies fall helplessly in love with him.

The actor who seems to be prepping up for settling down has choose to speak about the qualities he would need from his future bride.

In his words:

“Some time ago, i met a pretty girl in America and she said to me “Michael” i know you’d like to get married to the sexiest woman alive. A woman with the most adorable appearance, a model figure!!… I looked at her and smiled!! I smiled because that’s her opinion. I feel finding the right person is weigh more than just that. It’s not about, being with a model figure, or having a materialistic person as partner. Or basically showing off your partner for fame and attention. I think it’s about being with someone who has the greatest information in her head. Someone who affects people’s lives positively. Someone who would impact knowledge and power into your children. Someone who would engage her partner with intelligent arguments just to test his level of intelligence and eloquence. And above all someone who is close to God. Because if you focus on the materialistic things of life, those things that attracted you to that person, might not be there in 10 or 20 yrs. to come, so what keeps you going?? Truth is, the person you’d become in 10years depends on the knowledge you acquire, the books you read, the people you surround yourself with… no offence I am just a very deep person when it comes to the affairs of life and what should make it successful. May God give us wisdom #Amen. GOODMORNING FRIENDS!!.”

“I’m Blessed with Big Boobs, I can’t date a poor man” – Nollywood Actress says

Bolaji-Ogunmola (1)

Pound for pound, few women in Nollywood, or even the entire entertainment industry can hold their own when it comes to going head to head in boobs contest with Bolaji Ogunmola.

The up and coming hot actress is so endowed in the bosom, that the likes of Cossy wouldn’t want to be in the same room with her for fear of competition. But for the Next Movie Star class of 2013, having big boobs can’t compare to having bigger butt.

In a recent chat with Potpourri, the sexy, charismatic and unassuming ebony beauty bares her mind on some sensitive issues relating to sex, relationships and her career as an actress.

Bolaji-Ogunmola-206x300 (1)

“I am left handed, I like light-skinned guys and very emotional,” she says, describing herself in simple terms.

“I can’t date a poor man and would have preferred having a bigger butt,” she added but declined to comment further on why she prefers bigger butt to her humongous, captivating boobs.

Bolaji has only been on her acting journey for four years but the horizon looks good for her.

“I have been acting for like four years now but people say you start counting from when you started making impact. So on that note, I became relevant from two years ago. My first film was when I was in the university, that is the University of Ilorin. After which I got enrolled at Royal Art Academy. I was part of some of their projects like Okon goes to school, Unbedded Niece and some other films,” she says, beaming with smiles.

How We Kept Mark Zuckerberg’s Visit a Secret — CcHUB CEO, Tijani

Bosun Tijani
Bosun Tijani

Bosun Tijani, CEO/Co-founder of the Co-creation Hub, an incubator for technology start-up companies in Lagos, tells TOBI AWORINDE about planning Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg’s first visit to Nigeria.

When did you discover your passion for mentoring young entrepreneurs?
My passion is not mentoring entrepreneurs. My interest is in finding ways to make technology work for us as a society and the reason why I am passionate about that is, I believe that as a society in Nigeria, and Africa as a whole, for us to move forward, we have to invest in our ability to create the future we want to see. That literally means we need to imbibe the culture of building solutions.

If we have bad roads, we need to imbibe the culture of understanding how to build roads that will last, not necessarily “importing” companies that will do it for us. If our education is bad, we need to be able to create a better education system. That is my interest.

But fortunately, technology is one tool that enables and provides opportunities for us to do things at scale.

We are a large country and if we use technology smartly, we can reach much more people within the country and also build exciting scalable solutions that last. That is why I have decided to do what I do, which is to find ways in which technology can be useful and one of those ways would be to find smart people.

If my interest is in building technology solutions, obviously, I have to find smart and creative people that will build those solutions.

So, find them, support them, invest in them and expose them to people who can help make their ventures grow—that’s the first thing. The second most important thing is also working with civil society organisations; these are organisations that are passionate about solving social problems.

It is important that we work with them and empower them to also use technology in exciting ways. The last one is that if everything I have said is ever going to work, we need talent—we need people who are talented.

We need people who can build the technology, so I am also interested in how do we find and train such people so that they can then become the future we want to see? That is what I do and what is what I am passionate about.

When did you start CcHUB?
We founded CcHUB in 2010, but the innovation centre opened in September 2011. I still have the book in which I started jotting the idea and I met with my co-founder, Femi Longe.

We were both privileged to be in London—we studied in Nigeria and got the opportunity to go abroad for internship through a student organisation.

We stayed in touch, met and shared ideas. He was working in social innovations; I was working in innovation consulting. We started thinking of how we could help support creative people in Nigeria. We started writing ideas down two to three years before launching in 2010.

How do you involve the government, knowing that a lot of this is its responsibility?
Some of it; it’s not the sole responsibility of government.

Government should be responsible; we have to work with government to provide the right enabling environment to make all these things work, but to a large extent, it is the responsibility of private sector organisations.

Government has no business being in business; government’s role is not to run businesses and if government’s role is not to run businesses, government can’t understand how to support businesses.

But what government can do is provide the enabling environment, put in the right infrastructure, and ensure that it is easy to do business in the country.

Government can do all that by working with private sector organisations to understand their needs, understand what enabling environment and infrastructure they can put in place that would help the business do well.

What policies can they put in place that would make sure that businesses are not being spaced and businesses are creating jobs and generating wealth for the nation?

That is the role of government. For civil society organisations, we have to go out there to look for them, because they are exciting organisations that take on the responsibility to do social good. In every society, you need them. They are not necessarily meant to replace government, but they are meant to support the work that government is meant to be doing.

What do you think about all the excitement that has come about as a result of Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg’s visit to Nigeria?
Who would not be excited? This man is worth about, how much, between $53 and $55bn.

That is a lot of money. He is worth much more than our budget. He is, probably, the sixth or seventh richest man in the world, walking the streets of Yaba, right here in Nigeria.

Mark-Zuckerburg

I think for a country like Nigeria, with all the bad press that we get and the cynicism around the name Nigeria, that was a huge surprise for everybody.

It is unbelievable to a lot of people that Mark actually chose to come to Nigeria. It gives us hope that there is something unique about this place.

But unfortunately, we are not taking advantage of it. Again, think about it, do you know that he came in on the day Nigeria was proclaimed to be entering the worst recession in 29 years? What sort of coincidence is that? When the world is telling us that we are going down, one of the richest people in the world came and he was telling us, “You have a lot of good in you and you can go up.” It is a message.

How much went into keeping his visit a secret?
It was challenging. We were literally warned not to (say anything); if there was a leak, he would turn back, he wouldn’t come. The sixth or seventh richest man in the world; it was a security threat. We didn’t know on time that he was the one that was coming; we knew a CEO or executive was coming from Facebook. Then few weeks before his arrival, we were informed that he was coming.

zucks

What were some of your expectations of regarding his visit?
I had absolutely no expectations. I didn’t know what to expect. Of course, everyone was stunned to see Mark. People were confused. But he was a cool guy, reasonable, mingled with everybody and took selfies.

Did he comment on the energy and culture of Lagos?
I think he was really stunned at the entrepreneurial spirit of Nigerians. He said from the moment (the plane) landed, people were different and the way people just wanted to do things, he could tell that a lot of people here are serious-minded entrepreneurs.

He sees the opportunities, not only the fact that we have a big market; we have people who are talented, people who are dreamers and for him, that is a major part of our future and one of the things that will determine how far we go as a people.

Joint Account Is Not Proof Of Love — Bob-Manuel Udokwu and Wife Tell Their Love sStory

Bob-Manuel-and-Cassandra

Veteran Nollywood actor, Bob-Manuel Udokwu, has been married to Cassandra, an educationist, for 16 years. They share their love story with JAYNE AUGOYE.

How did you meet your husband?
Cassandra: Our paths crossed at the University of Lagos. I was an undergraduate while he was studying for a master’s degree. He was a regular caller at my hostel because his classmate, whom I used to refer to as his girlfriend, resided there. However, anytime I saw him around, I always greeted him.

Was it a case of love at first sight?
Bob-Manuel: It wasn’t a case of storybook love at first sight. I was struck by her height and the fact that she walked like a model. I had to ask her if she was one. I was already a movie star when our paths crossed.

So, who made the first move?
Cassandra: My husband did. We ran into each other on several occasions and then one day, he saw me walking towards UNILAG gate and gave me a lift to Alaba, where I resided with my sister.
He was on his way to FESTAC, but he didn’t ask me out on that day. We met yet again at the same spot and offered me a ride home. We got talking and became friends.

Were you single and searching at the time?
Bob-Manuel: I wasn’t single and searching. I was more interested in getting another degree. However, somewhere at the back of my mind, I was open to finding love or going into a relationship.

Were you comfortable dating an actor?
Cassandra: The fact that he was and still a celebrity didn’t pose any threat to me.

How did the relationship progress?
Cassandra: He paid me a surprise visit at my sister’s church. After the service, he asked if he could take me somewhere. It turned out to be his brother’s place and his family welcomed me in a warm manner.

At what point did he propose?
Cassandra: He proposed on the same day he took me to his brother’s house. He told me that he asked God for certain qualities in a woman and he had found them in me. He then asked me to be the mother of his children and I cried. He was shocked at my reaction but unknown to him, I cried because my parents had just passed on. I asked for some time to think about it and consult with God.

When did you realise that she was going to be your wife?
Bob-Manuel: It had to do with my instincts especially as I had realized that it was time I took our relationship to the next level. It didn’t take time for me to make up my mind. From our small talks, her mannerisms and of course through prayers, I knew in no time that she was the right woman for me.

What is the most memorable moment in your union?
Cassandra: My traditional marriage remains a very significant event in my life. Having lost four members of my family in a day to poisoning, I thought I wasn’t going to get married. Then my husband came, along and we wedded in less than one year. I thought my family would be stigmatised but God had better plans for me. Another memorable moment was when I had my first daughter. I wanted my husband to be by my side and God granted my wish. When my husband came inside the theatre, our daughter was delivered into his arms.

Bob-Manuel: It was my first experience and it changed my life in a big way.

Your wife is conservative while you are in the spotlight…
Bob-Manuel: My wife and I have similar traits so we are like a match made in heaven. Our home is very quiet and devoid of any distractions.

How do you handle all the attention that comes with being the wife of a celebrity?
Cassandra: Being married to a spouse who is not always around or a celebrity is not easy. However, our foundation has been made easy for both of us. Being an educationist has afforded me ample time for our children, my husband and myself.

How do you handle attention from the opposite sex?
Bob-Manuel: I have absolutely no problem with my female fans. Some people ask me how I cope with female fans and I tell them that ‘cope’ is a wrong word. When you cope with something it means you struggle that particular thing. I have no problem with my female fans. As an actor, my fan base comprises females and children. Without my female fans and children, I won’t be the star that I am.

Cassandra: Over the years, I have handled my husband’s female fans in a civil and mature manner. I always tell him that he is lucky to have female fans.

Yours is a long distance marriage. How do you keep the romance in your marriage alive since you both live in different countries?
Bob-Manuel: It’s also about understanding, when partners are made for each other there are certain sacrifices they both have to make in their marriage. We talk to each other not less than twice in a day even when I travel abroad. Sometimes, a text message can suffice. Whenever I am not recording, when I wake up in the morning, I talk to my family and review the day’s activity. We also catch up during the day and when I am home, I try to make up for not being around by bonding with my family.

Cassandra: I will support him wherever his job takes him to. Distance is not an issue as he calls me more than six times a day and I also pay him regular visits.

Who is stricter between the two of you?
Bob-Manuel: We both do our bit as parents but I think my wife is stricter since she spends more time with the kids. I don’t believe in spanking especially as the kids are growing. Sometimes, a good talk does the job
Cassandra: I am stricter.

How do you handle disagreements?
Cassandra: I was once temperamental but Bob has made me a more patient and calmer person. We trash out any misunderstanding as it occurs and never go to bed angry.

Do you have access to each other’s phone?
Cassandra: Yes we do and we answer each other’s phone calls when the need arises. Women tend to develop a lot of anxiety as a result of going through their spouse’s phone. It is totally uncalled for so couples must learn to trust each other.

Do you own a joint account?
Bob-Manuel: No we don’t and it is not an issue for us. Moreover, I think the foundation of a marriage matters a lot. My wife and I listen in to some radio programmes and hear people making a mountain out of a molehill over trivial issues like owning a joint account. I, for instance, taught my wife how to drive and she drives like man and also helped her open her bank account. Owning a joint account is not proof of love. My wife knows when I am down financially because I tell her.

Do you also disclose your acting fees to your wife?
Bob-Manuel: There is no film I shoot or project I am involved in that I don’t tell her how much I’m being paid or offered. That is why I can confidently give her my ATM card and ask her to withdraw a certain amount without nursing any reservations. I am only able to do this because I trust my wife.

How have you been able to stay away from scandals?
Bob-Manuel: I carry myself with dignity, self-respect and professionalism. As my career progressed, I learnt from the experiences of others, which may be unfortunate. I also had to determine not to go down that route. So, I deliberately walk away from situations that will bring out certain unpleasant results.

Are you comfortable taking up romantic roles?
Bob-Manuel: In playing such roles, I’m very conscious. When I have to play steamy scenes, I discuss it with the director and we work it out in how the screenwriter wants it portrayed without being obnoxious. I also remove my wedding band whenever I am about to go to bed.

Why do you take off your ring every night?
Bob-Manuel: I do so simple because I don’t want to have that mark which comes about as a result of wearing a wedding ring especially when I have to play certain roles. It makes me uncomfortable sometimes when I have to play the role of a bachelor and the ring has left an impression on my ring finger. It kills the picture I am trying to create. I also feel uncomfortable having any jewellery on when I am supposed to be resting.

What would you love to change about your spouse?
Cassandra: I love him just the way he is.

Bob-Manuel: If I could, I would ask her to tone down the way she criticises me when I am getting out of shape. But I don’t think I would love her to stop critiquing me because it keeps me in check. Anytime I gain weight, my wife would tease me and ask if I want to play ‘old peoples roles.’ My wife is one of the reasons why I have remained on top of my game as an actor.

Executed Nigerian ‘Millionaire’ Drug Peddler Had 3 Children in Indonesian Prison

indon-02-640x480 (1)

Uneasy calm still pervades the sleepy community of Ezigbo village, Orsumoghu in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, since the death of Felix Izuchukwu Ezimoha, who was executed alongside three other Nigerians for drug trafficking in Indonesia on July 28.

Following the display of Ezimoha’s burial pictures in his mansion at Ezigbo on social media, a lot of commentators have condemned the community for giving a ‘befitting’ burial to a man executed for drug trafficking.

A correspondent who visited the community reported that Ezimoha was born in 1981 and lived quietly in Orsumoghu till he went to Nnewi the industrial commercial hub of Anambra State to trade. A reliable source close to the family who wants to be identified simply as Mrs. Nwaokoroafor told Saturday Telegraph yesterday that the 35-year-old Ezimoha was a humble, quiet and a gift to the entire community and beyond, whose passion for the poor and the needy knew no bound.

indon-05

“I don’t want to remember the death of Izuchkwu, We cannot recover from the shock in this village in the next five decades,” she said. “The father died so many years ago. The mother is not here and his only brother is an okada man. There is nobody in their place; they all left immediately after the burial.

“That is all I know. I don’t know whether he collapsed before he was killed but all I am saying is that the boy was a good boy and was generous to the community and other neighbouring communities. We cannot count the number of houses he built for widows and indigents in the town.

“All we are praying to God is for Him to revenge for us and Izuchukwu,” Nwaokoroafor said. Meanwhile, his new mansion and his father’s compound were under lock and key as at the time a correspondent visited the community. But when contacted the President General of the community, Ezefunamba Hyginus, also spoke about Ezimoha.

He said: “What I am telling was what I heard. I was not there in Indonesia. The fact was that the boy was trading at Nnewi before he left the shores of Nigeria in 2003. After a while, we didn’t hear about him. We later heard that he was apprehended by the Indonesia security operatives and was put in the prison.

“On enquiry, we were told that he was arrested and nothing was found on him and in his house after the security operatives conducted their search.

“We heard also that it was a conspiracy and the person who named him as a member of the drug cartel was from Anambra State, who was squatting in Izuchukwu’s house. They said they were tried and convicted but he insisted that he was not a drug born”.

He added: “While he was in prison, he got married to an Indonesia woman and wedded in prison. He also had three children while in prison, two boys and a girl.” Hyginus said it was through the help of his Indonesian wife that the community started getting hint about him again.

“We also learnt he continued appealing against the judgment of the lower court, who convicted him but because the witness who accused him had died, he was trapped in the prison custody until he was wasted.”

The president general said Ezimoha consistently told the Indonesia court that he knew nothing about drug business, but there was no witness to corroborate his claim.

“In fact it was painful that the Federal Government of Nigeria could not intervene despite the global attention the trial attracted. What his kinsmen were now asking was that if he was found guilty of drug trafficking as they claimed, why should they allow his corpse to be buried in Nigeria?”

Nigerian Man Kisses His Daughter on The Lips. Appropriate or Nah?

kiss dota

A man who saw it pleasing to kiss his daughter with all seriousness (even closing his eyes in the process as a sign of ecstasy) was recently a topic of discussion online.

Some online users are saying this act is very bad and could lead to other things while others are arguing that it’s the intention of the man that matters.

Anyway, the main question now is, is it possible for a man to kiss his daughter almost the same way he kisses his wife without feeling anything?

Several commenters believe the man in question could graduate into having a romantic feeling for his daughter which is the foundation for several cases of sexual abuse across the world.

#SaveMayowa Ahmed Campaign Funds UPDATE

Mayowa

A public appeal for funds to treat ovarian cancer victim, Mayowa Ahmed, generated more than N80 million a few days after the campaign was launched through the efforts of Nollywood actress, Toyin Aimakhu, and Miss Aramide Kasumu, the director of Lifestake Foundation, a Lagos-based non governmental organisation (NGO).

Unfortunately, Mayowa’s story turned ugly following Aimakhu’s alleged declaration on social media that the fund raiser was a scam.

The police, who intervened in the matter and froze the account where the sum raised was deposited, after investigating the allegations the two parties levelled against each other, later described the controversy as a mere misunderstanding.

They lifted the ban on the account, opening the way for Mayowa to be transferred to a hospital in South Africa, which had allegedly offered to carry out a surgery to save her life.

However, it turned out an effort too little too late, as Mayowa, who was flown to South Africa for treatment on August 10 died 11 days later. Her death was announced by a family member, Asiwaju Foye, in a series of tweets.

The tweet had stated:

“By Allah, in whose hands our lives is, Mayowa Ahmed has left us in this world. We pray that Jannat becomes her home #RipMayowa. She tried, we tried but God’s will prevailed #RipMayowa.”

But for most Nigerians, the mourning days appear to have ended and they are now asking what becomes of the millions raised from the #SaveMayowa campaign.

A representative of the Ahmed family, Tope Adeniran, who spoke with The Nation, said the family was still mourning Mayowa’s loss. Tope, who sounded distraught, said:

“I am not ready to talk to any journalist on any story. I just lost someone, can’t you guys sympathise with us?”

The Police Public Relations Officer, Ms. Dolapo Badmus, who spoke with one of their correspondents, said that the police would brief the media on the matter at the appropriate time on what would be done with the remaining sum realised from the campaign.

Badmus said:

“We are all human beings. When a life is lost, the first thing is to commiserate with the family. Right now, we are condoling with members of Mayowa’s family. I don’t think the issue of money should be the first thing for us to be talking about right now.
So, we want to leave the family for some time to go through their private period of mourning. But at the appropriate time, we will feed the members of the press back on the decisions we have made. We will still act at the appropriate time.”

Some leaders of non-governmental organisations involved with women causes and health care also shared their thoughts with The Nation on what can be done with the fund.

The Executive Director, Centre for Children’s Health Education, Orientation and Protection (CEE-HOPE), Mrs. Betty Abah believes that Mayowa’s family, after they must have mourned her sufficiently, should make a public statement on what they intend to do with the fund.

Abah said:

“As the saying goes, the deed has been done and we cannot question God. It is time to take the next step and that should be fully characterised by transparency in the light of the recent controversy. My thoughts would be that they can donate to a charity organisation having to do with cancer.

“I really can’t recall hearing much from the family following Mayowa’s death. I think they need to make a statement thanking the supporters, as well as stating the way forward, and that should include the use of the fund.”

In the opinion of Dr Femi Olaleye, the founder and medical director of Optimal Cancer Care Foundation, a foremost NGO that offers health services in cancer related ailments for women, the funds generated should be donated to a cancer foundation so that more women can be saved.

Olaleye said:

“There are lots of women to help in cryotherapy, breast cancer surgery and other women related cancer ailments. My foundation offers free breast and cervical screening for women every Friday.

“So there is a lot of opportunities for them to do great with that money and give back. I will manage it for them. If not even all of it, they can use some of it and give back to other women who can come here and access treatment. More impact can be made that way.”

TheNation reports that efforts to speak with Toyin Aimakhu on the latest development were futile.

It will be recalled that in the wake of the controversy surrounding the funds after the alarm she raised on her suspicions of Mayowa’s family’s motives, Aimakhu took to her tweeter handle to explain her involvement in the fund raiser.

In the said tweet, the actress had said:

“I want to state for the records that I have never been a fraud and will never partake in one, not even at this stage of my career (which I hold to heart).

“All my efforts were strictly on humanitarian grounds without recourse to any pecuniary consideration or the resort to cheap fame.

“That said, whatever discomfort my reactions may have cost anyone from any quarters is highly regretted and I take responsibility.

“Whilst I wish Mayowa a quick recovery and divine intervention, I want to urge us as a people to continue to exhibit that enviable Nigerian spirit of compassion and generosity and not because of this isolated case cease to be our sister/brother’s keeper.”

With the death of Mayowa, it is obvious that the last has not been heard of the controversial #GoFundMe campaign funds.

Pasuma’s daughter in 419 scandal

paso

One of the ten children Fuji star Wasiu Alabi Pasuma fathered with different women, Rokibat, never knew that a petty 419 might blow up in her face.

OrijoReporter exclusively gathered Rokibat, a final year undergraduate of Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, is enmeshed in a 419 scandal that has brought her and her family into disrepute.

Rokibat is in the faculty of Management Science, a Business Administration student, sources said the Fuji star’s daughter has a boyfriend, popularly known as Ade Gogo. The young lovers were said to have defrauded a businessperson simply identified as Mayor.

OrijoReporter was told that Mayor runs a leisure centre consisting of the pool side at Stella Obasanjo Multi-purpose Hall at Offa Garage in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, and planned to feature singer Small Doctor in a musical show he was organising.

But he fell victim to his preconceived notion and that of his circle that Rokibat wields enormous influence among artistes being Pasuma’s daughter.

Mayor gave her and Ade Gogo N450,000 for onward transmission to Small Doctor but the lovers and the artiste’s manager diverted it to personal use , OrijoReporter was told.

It was said that Small Doctor’s manager (name unknown as at the time of this publication) and Rokibat are related.

Sources said when it finally dawned on Mayor that Small Doctor would not be on hand to supply music at his show, he threatened to wage a virulent hate campaign against him on social media thinking the Ondo-born artiste duped him.

It became a serious conflict after the lid on the diversion was blown wide to the point that Rokibat’s mother was in Ilorin on Monday to find a way of resolving the issue.

It was further gathered that Mayor borrowed the money he was duped out of by Pasuma’s daughter, her boyfriend and Small Doctor’s manager from the bank and is under pressure to pay off the loan.

Rokibat’s father sired eight girls and two boys from different mothers. Recently a 51-year-old All Progressive Congress, APC woman leader in Ojodu area of Lagos State, Mrs. Yetunde Babajide, granted an interview in which she said she is secretly married to Pasuma and bore him a child.

“Destiny brought myself and Alhaji Pasuma together. If you listen to one of his albums he released and titled “My World”, it is the story of my life and his own life that necessitated the message of that album. In fact, to be honest with you, I never believe I could marry my husband because I am a well read and educated woman. A business woman and a politician. In fact, my colleagues in politics didn’t believe I could marry someone like that but destiny is more powerful than any circumstance in life, ” Mrs. Babajide said in the interview.

Our correspondent called Pasuma’s publicist, Afolabi Oyekoya, on his mobile to know if the artiste was aware about Rokibat’s self made crisis but the call didn’t go through. It was later gathered that Oyekoya was in Canada.

Satan used children against me – Pastor found with 13 girls in sex harem

ss

On a normal day, 36-year-old Chukwuemeka Nwocha, the General Overseer of Tongue of Fire Restoration Ministry located in Igbosere, Lagos, is a ‘man of God’ that his congregation, both young and old, called “Daddy”.

But on Friday, as he was being paraded before journalists at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters in Ikeja, he was no longer a “spiritual daddy” but a suspect who harboured 13 underaged girls as sex slaves in a three-bedroomed harem.

Fair complexioned and soft-spoken, Nwocha did not come across as someone capable of such crime. When he started to talk about what he did before journalists, he started by saying “By His Grace,” a statement that elicited a laugh of derision from all present.

According to Nwocha, it all started when the children in his church, who called him, “Daddy, daddy” told him they would like to visit him.

He said, “I only tried to help the girls. When the first girl came, she said she did not have anywhere to go. I did not know her parents. I am a pastor and I felt pity for her. After spending three days, I told her she needed to go out and bring some of her relations so that they would know where she was. But she did not.

“Later, some parents in my church also said they would like to send their chidlren to live with me. Some of them came to spend holidays after their exam.”

He insisted the parents knew they were in his house. But after telling stories that diverted attention from allegations that he raped the girls and had also forced some of them to do abortions, he paused and shook his head.

“I am a pastor, the devil only used the children against me. I did not rape them. I only slept with Sola (real name withheld). She is my girlfriend and we actually planned to marry.

When asked how old the girl he mentioned was, he said she was about to clock 17.

Asked again if the parents of the girls he claimed knew their whereabouts also knew he was sexually abusing them, he said yes.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Mr. Fatai Owoseni, had said that the pastor haboured the girls with the promise of paying their school fees, feeding them and buying gifts for them.

“While they were in his house, three of them became pregnant and he took them for abortions. He first denied all the allegations but like all criminals, he later confessed to raping them without using protection,” the CP said.

Punch correspondent, spoke with one of the girls, who were also brought to the Lagos State Police Command.

The 13-year-old girl, who sobbed as she talked, explained that her parents indeed gave her permission to spend the holiday in the pastor’s house.

The girl said all the 13 of them in the pastor’s house lived in one room in his three-bedroomed flat.

“There is only one bed in the room. We all sleep anyhow we could. One of us, who is older is the one who cooked in the house. I got there two weeks ago. My parents are his church members. I just felt it will be good if I spent part of the holiday in pastor’s house. My parents gave their permission before I went there.

“It was when I got to the house that I saw other girls. Few days after I got there, he called me and took me to his room and slept with me. He told me not to speak to anybody about what he did and that he would buy me clothes. I knew that he was sleeping with the other girls. I don’t know whether anyone of the other girls have had abortion.”

The girl confirmed that the pastor is married and that his wife is schooling and was never around, contrary to the claim of the pastor that he was single.

This was corroborated by another girl who said they all called the pastor’s wife Mary and that she came around to the house once in a while.

The CP has said Nwocha would be prosecuted along with whoever conspired with him to commit the crimes.

“Tupac Shakur Is Dead, Ignore That Viral Selfie” – First Cop On The Scene Of His Death

tupac dead

Some of the late rapper’s fans were filled with hope after a selfie of him which showed he was not dead but living a secret life 20 years after he was shot in Las Vegas, emerged online.

The selfie – which emerged as part of a video montage and has since gone viral – is being dismissed out of hand by the first police officer on the scene of the shooting, who tells DailyMail.com he knows Tupac is dead.

Chris Carroll, who is now retired, witnessed the 25-year-old, bleeding heavily, slip into unconsciousness after saying his last words to the cop: ‘F* you

Shakur was declared six days later without ever regaining consciousness and Carroll tells DailyMail.com he knew instantly that there was no hope.

The shooting of the rapper, on 7 September 1996, has been surrounded by conspiracy theories ever since.

They include claims that Marion ‘Suge’ Knight, who was beside Shakur in the car when he was shot, had ordered the assassination – and that Carroll was involved, or even that he helped Shakur flee to a new life by using a look-a-like corpse to fake his death.

The picture seemed to fuel the claim that Tupac had survived in secret, but Caroll, 51, says that is untrue, and also says he does not believe Knight ordered the hit, while warning that the most notorious of the rap murders may never be solved.

‘Tupac is dead. I saw him lose consciousness and lose his life 20 years ago,’ he said.

‘I still find it astonishing that fans and people believe that Tupac is alive.

‘This new video does nothing to change my mind. There are lookalikes all over the world and this may be another one or a hoax.’

Carroll was on routine patrol on his cycle when he heard a radio alert about shots fired into a BMW from a white Cadillac a mile from where he was.

He was in fact just yards away as the BMW – driven by Knight – crashed into a divider at the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard, and Harmon and Carroll were on the scene instantly.Shakur had been shot four times and Knight had sped away from the scene, followed by other cars in his entourage.

‘There were about five cars in the entourage and as they began getting out of the cars I knew these were not normal citizens,’ he told DailyMail.com.

‘So as they got out I had my gun drawn, so I told them all to get down and stay back. They all looked edgy, and I was concerned that may be a threat or could even just run away.

‘But then in the BMW through the passenger window I saw a silhouette of a guy, who was not moving.

‘My immediate concern was that he could be armed and perhaps wanting to attack me or was the shooter. In the middle of this chaos was Suge, who you cannot miss, as he is this huge figure, very tall, wide and looking to come towards me.

‘And to make matters even more concerning, blood was gushing out of his skull where he had been hit by a bullet.

‘I told him to stay down and approached the passenger door, where Tupac was slumped, but moving slightly seemingly looking forward through the windscreen.

‘I kept repeating for him to get out of the vehicle, but he didn’t respond.

‘I told the others to get down and I walked up to the door – I reached out for it with my left hand and had my gun in my right in case he would shoot.

‘There was barely any movement from Tupac and I could see multiple bullet holes in the window and side door.

‘The door was tough to get open, perhaps where it had been damaged by bullets, but after several attempts I got the door open.

‘Tupac just flopped out onto my left arm. as I hadn’t realized he was leaning against the door.

‘I then cushioned him down to the floor. Tupac was grimacing in pain, looking panicked and gasping for breathe.

‘His torso was shot up pretty bad with blood pouring from his chest out through his shirt onto his gold chains. The blood loss was vast and it curdled around the chains, clinging to them.

‘As he was fading, Suge kept shouting and screaming “Pac, Pac”, and then in the corner of my eye I could see him come closer.

‘I warned him to stay back.

‘Instantly I realized that the victim was Tupac, gasping for air and then gurgling, most likely from the blood filling his throat and lungs.

‘At that moment my gut instinct told me that he was in serious trouble. I thought about first aid, but his situation was beyond me saving him – the multiple gun wounds, loss and his rolling eyes meant only trauma specialists could save him.

‘Tupac was losing his fight, but he kept looking at Suge, who was growing more frantic and screaming at him.

‘At this stage I felt that he was unlikely to survive, so I attempted to take a dying declaration from him.

‘I asked him “Who shot you? Who did this? What happened?” repeatedly.

‘Tupac didn’t even acknowledge that I was talking to him, as he was staring at Suge over my shoulder.

‘Then he finally moved his line of sight from Suge, glared at me, mustered the energy to take as deep as breath as possible and said, ‘F* you.’

‘His eyes rolled back, and then he started gargling and choking before he looked back at Suge.

‘However that burst of energy proved too much, and his body physically quit, he went limp, his eyes closed half way, stopped breathing and he lost consciousness.’

Carroll says that is all the proof he needs that Tupac is dead.

‘As soon as the ambulance got there, he had already lost consciousness, he was intubated immediately and taken to the local trauma center. And for all practical purposes, he was really dead when he arrived there. We have one of the best Trauma team’ in the States, if not the best, but they knew he was gone.

“I’ll rather be called a bastard than being called your son ‘- Stella Oduah’s surviving son to his dad

Oduah (1)

One of the son’s of Senator Stella Oduah, Tuoyo Etoromi Oduah, has taken a swipe at his father and husband to the ex-minister, Satchie Etoromi, saying he will rather be a bastard than be called his father’s son.

The young man released a statement today, Friday, September 2, where he labelled his father as “attention seeker” while also denouncing him.

Tuoyo accused his father of resorting to seeking attention in the course of his brother’s death.

While reacting to the claims by his father, he said he was not told of the death of late Maxwell Etoromi by his family members. He said he called his father on the day of the incident to inform him.

Maxwell Chinedu Etoromi died a week ago after he took a wrong medication prescribed for him following a tooth surgery.

The 28-year-old, died at a Turkish private hospital in Abuja.

Tuoyo further noted that there would be no connection between him and his father after issuing the statement.

The statement reads, “I feel so heartbroken and distraught that during our time of mourning for my beloved brother, I have been reduced to issue a press statement against my biological father, Mr Satchie Etoromi.

“Life is serious. It is not a Nollywood movie. This is madness. This is evil. This is defamation. This is attention seeking. This is opportunism. This is shamelessness. This is jealousy. This is abnormal. This is bitterness. This is shocking!

“Buwa and I were the product of a short and abusive marriage that ended almost 30 years ago. To a man with many other wives and children. Stella Oduah is the only father, mother, carer and provider that my brother has ever known.

The Oduah family is the only Family that he has ever been part of and Akili Ozizo in Anambra state is the only hometown he has ever had.

“I called Mr Satchie and the Etoromi family to inform them immediately my brother passed. I offered flights, accommodation and special care for him or the representatives of the family throughout the funeral. I offered to build a relationship and have a new start.

“I was happy and optimistic. But i was wrong. Instead of asking about his dead son, he proceeded to use my brothers passing as an excuse to shamelessly insult my mother just like he is doing now, issue death threats and even ask for dowry from almost 30 years ago.

“This is madness. Mr Satchie Etoromi’s motivation is not love, not grief, not reconciliation, not to reach out but to seek attention, bitterness, revenge, jealousy, abusive tendencies, possessiveness and maybe even genuine madness.

“Mr Satchi Etoromi, I beg you with God to please leave us alone forever and let Buwa rest in peace. May God have mercy on your soul on for what you have just done. I wanted to forgive and reconcile but your recent actions and character have revealed that it is better to be a bastard than be your son.

“This will be the first and last time that I will acknowledge and respond. Any further public words and actions from Mr Satchie Etoromi will be addressed through legal means.”

“I am impressed by your simplicity,” Buhari to Zuckerberg

Zuck-Nigeria-02

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday commended the Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of social networking website, Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, for sharing his wealth of knowledge with Nigerian youths, and inspiring a new generation of entrepreneurs.

According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, the President spoke while granting audience to Zuckerberg at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Buhari said the various meetings held with Nigerian youths since his arrival in the country were most timely as the country was already exploring opportunities to spur development through entrepreneurship.

He said, “Nigeria has always been identified as a country with great potential for growth, especially with our youthful population, but now we are moving beyond the potential to reality.

“I am impressed by your simplicity in sharing your knowledge and wealth with those with less income.”

The President noted that the simplicity and magnanimity of the entrepreneur, who is among the world’s richest men, had also challenged the culture of lavish wealth display and impulsive spending that had become peculiar to Nigerians.

“In our culture, we are not used to seeing successful people appear like you. We are not used to seeing successful people jogging and sweating on the streets.

“We are more used to seeing successful people in air-conditioned places. We are happy you are well-off and simple enough to always share,” he said.

In his remarks, Zuckerberg said he was impressed by the interest, energy and entrepreneurial spirit displayed by young Nigerians in all the ICT camps that he had visited.

“I was highly impressed by the talent of the youths in the Co-creation Hub in Yaba. I was blown away by their talent and the level of energy that I saw,’’ he said.

Zuckerberg added that he is in the country to promote the penetration of “fast and cheap” internet connectivity, Express-wifi, that would help people create online businesses and reduce poverty.

“I was walking home on a path next to their farm when one of the men called me. Because I knew them, I went where they were. They started accusing me of being a miraa thief. While I was defending myself, one of them jumped and cut me on the head. One of them said they should not let me go without chopping off my hands. Their father tied my hands and placed them on a post. That is when their grandfather cut one of my hands and asked his grandsons to chop them off,” he said.

Here’s The Reason Why Mark Zuckerberg Wears Grey T-Shirt Everyday.

grey clothes

Facebook founder, CEO is ranked as the 7th richest person in the world with a net worth of about $54.4bn and we all know that Mark Zuckerberg wears the same grey coloured t-shirt, hoodie and blue jeans everyday.

The 32 year old, known for his simplicity cited a number of psychological advantages to never changing his look.

In 2014 he said:

“I really want to clear my life to make it so that I have to make as few decisions as possible about anything except how to best serve this community,”

“I’m in this really lucky position, where I get to wake up every day and help serve more than a billion people. And I feel like I’m not doing my job if I spend any of my energy on things that are silly or frivolous about my life.”

The choice of gray and blue stems from his colour blindness, which explains why Facebook has a blue thematic colour.
