Fresh New Music From The Penthauze Family…Here’s Phyno saying its sure for him. The Igbo-speaking rapper has resorted to singing lately and he sticks to that on this latest cut.
Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has confirmed an allegation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission that he had N300m in one of his accounts in Zenith Bank with number 9013074033.
The governor’s Special Adviser on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, said this in a series of tweets on Facebook under the hash tag ‘Fayose speaks.’
Fayose, however, maintained that he deposited the money into his fixed deposit account before he was sworn-in as governor and had declared it in his asset declaration form.
He, therefore, rubbished the EFCC reports that he deposited the money in April 2015, six months after he had become governor.
Olayinka tweeted, “I declared in my assets declaration form that I had N300m in my fixed deposit account in Zenith Bank #Fayose Speaks.”
He maintained that he never received campaign funds from the Office of the National Security Adviser in 2014.
He added, “I did not get money from the NSA Office to fund my election. It is just a conspiracy; it will fail like that of 2006.
“By the end of this month, we are starting a social welfare scheme in which 7,000 people will be getting N5, 000 per month #FayoseSpeaks
“We deceive ourselves too much in this country. Even our population that they said is 150 million is not true.”
The EFCC, which has since frozen the account had alleged that Fayose’s associate, Abiodun Agbele, allegedly received N1.219bn from the ONSA on behalf of Fayose and then paid part of the money into the governor’s current account and company account.
The commission had also alleged that Fayose personally moved N300m from the money and used it to open a fixed deposit account in April 2015.
The EFCC had said, “Abbey (Agbele) directed the bank to pay N137m into the account of Ayodele Fayose with number 1003126654 and Bank Verification Number 22338867502. The bank teller dated June 26, 2014, was filled by Abbey with teller number 0556814.
“Abbey directed the bank to transfer N118, 760, 000 to the same account and paid in N50m cash into Fayose’s account.”

Nigerian triplets identified as John, Peter and Jamie Obidiegwu are celebrating their birthday on an equally special day – the 7th day of the 7th month, 7 denoting good luck and completion in a lot of cultures and religions.
Below are some photos of the handsome triplets, shared on Instagram to celebrate their birthday.
Today July 7th 2016, I am really SORRY to tell you my fans that I will no longer practice Journalism in Nigeria. It seems like many celebrities and their fans are upset when I write a story about them. I live for the truth and nothing more. News is news and not prying into other people’s business. Without news you are uninformed. I opened this page January 25th 2013 and wanna thank everyone who has followed me on social media.
I will now concentrate on my Kemi’s Kids Foundation. I like helping disadvantaged kids in Nigeria. Pls LIKE the page Facebook.com/Kemiskids. If you follow me on Twitter @KemiOlunloyo is my private page @HNNAfrica my main handle will be there. Facebook.com/KemiOlunloyo is my fan club started by some loyal fans.
Once again I apologize to all Nigerian celebrities and their fans who felt offended by my stories. They are true investigative stories which is the bitter truth! I am now moving on. I will also be canceling my social media tour in Nigeria. Facebook has changed my page description to Public Figure instead of Journalist as I notified them. There are lots of bloggers and newspapers that can report those stories. Try Sahara Reporters, Breaking Times, Cable NG and Premium Times, Pulse Nigeria, Naij, Daily Post. Don’t forget your local newspapers. Nobody has forced me off Journalism on social media. It was my choice. I will never change for anybody. I will be keeping to myself and continue writing for the various foreign media on their platforms. I write online as admin for 4 American TV stations and 2 newspapers
I am bringing up this issue here because I don’t trust the environment I live and the people I co-habit with. They would open up the bible for me than tell me some truth I need to hear or advise me to go for brain evaluation. I am well ok.
I’ve been an atheist for some years now, but due to beliefs of people around, I make it a closed affair. Though I raised questions which theists always fail to convincingly answer, I still agree with them that there is god.
I live in this denial of who I am just to satisfy my loved ones and make them happy. They see atheist as a mad man.
All these years, this is what I battle inside of me, but what choice do I have than just to play along? I don’t wanna lose loved ones ’cause of my belief.
I muster some courage and decided to reveal my real self to my girlfriend who is also religious. She’s told me her love for me is unconditional and I tried to believe her.
She went berserk when I told her am an atheist… She wouldn’t just believe it. Since then, she’s been looking at me like I’m under some spell.
I’m losing her and I don’t ever wanna lose her. If for anything, not because I don’t believe there is God who looks by while toddlers die.
Bukky Ajayi, died on Wednesday morning aged 82. Ajayi featured in rested TV series ‘Village Headmaster’ and ‘Checkmate’.
Here are five great movies she featured in
1. Thunderbolt (2001)
Thunderbolt deals with interracial marriages and its challenges in modern day Nigeria. It tells the experiences of an Ibo woman named Ngozi who married a Yoruba man named Yinka despite the conflict between their two tribes.
2. Mother of George (2013)
Bukky Ajayi played the role of Ma Ayo in this 2013 film. The movie, directed by Andrew Dosunmu, tells the story of a newly married Nigerian couple in Brooklyn who own and manage a small restaurant while struggling with fertility issues.
3. Indecent Girl (2004)

He falls in love with a dancer but his parents disagreed with his choice, preferring someone whom they consider within social status. He rejects her, she turned to voodoo and the rest is history. Temini Tieko, a Yoruba movie, showed misunderstandings between a married couple could be resolved when handled right.
Nollywood veteran actress, Patience Ozokwor has spoken on rumours that she has stopped putting on trousers after giving her life to Christ.
Speaking to Encomuim magazine, she is quoted as saying:
Yes, I don’t wear trousers again. No more weave on, no more make up. Naturally, I am not a make up person. You see me in make up when I am in the movie. That has been my nature. Even if I make up, I like it light, except it was made by somebody else for an occasion. Christ told me to put off certain things because they don’t please Him. I have to obey Him. I heard directly from Him, nobody told me that. Christ told me that wearing trousers brings out women’s sensitive features. When we wear trousers, we make men desire us and make them fall into sin. I put up a lot of argument about it before I could obey.
An Abia State Polytechnic student, identified only as Abel, has killed the landlord of one of the students’ lodges in the Immaculate area of Aba, Abia State.
Abel, a final year student of the Department of Architecture, allegedly stabbed the victim in the stomach during a disagreement at the lodge, Punch Metro reports.
It was learnt that the landlord had ordered that no female visitor was allowed to spend the night in the lodge.
The suspect was alleged to have breached the rule and was challenged by the landlord, which led to a fight between them.
In the ensuing scuffle, the suspect was alleged to have grabbed a knife and stabbed the victim in the stomach, before taking to his heels.
The landlord reportedly died on the spot. His remains were recovered by the police and deposited in a mortuary.
A student of the institution, who identified herself only as Beatrice, explained that the caretaker of the lodge was the first to notice the breach of the rule, adding that he informed the landlord.
She said the landlord barged into the room and met Abel and his girlfriend naked, which caused the fight.
She said, “The incident happened around 9pm on June 29. The deceased had made a rule that no student living in the lodge should bring a lady to pass the night there. He also made it a rule that every visitor, be it male or female, must leave before night falls.
“However, the suspect brought home a female guest in the evening and both of them went inside his room. The caretaker of the lodge saw them and waited for them to come out, but they didn’t. He then put a call through to the landlord, who hurriedly went to the building around 9pm.
“On arrival, the landlord barged into the student’s room where he met both the lady and the student naked. Instead of excusing himself, he attacked the student with punches. The lady quickly grabbed a wrapper and ran out of the room into another student’s room in the lodge.
“As the confrontation continued, the student stabbed the landlord with a knife, put on his boxers and fled that night, leaving the landlord dead in his room.”
It was learnt that the incident threw the community into confusion as the matter was reported at a police station in the area.
The police were said to have launched a manhunt for the suspect with his picture posted at strategic areas in the school.
When contacted, the Abia State Police Public Relations Officer, Nta Ogbonnaya, confirmed the murder, but said he could not tell what transpired between the suspect and the deceased.
He said the case file had been transferred to the State Department of Criminal Investigations, adding that the police would get the fugitive.
He said, “Yes, there is a case of murder involving a student of Abia State Polytechnic, Aba, who stabbed his landlord in the stomach. I cannot, however, tell what happened between them. I also don’t know the name of the landlord and the suspect. As I speak with you, the case file has been transferred to the SDCI and we are working with the school authorities to get the details of the suspect.
“I, however, want to advise him that he should submit himself to the police voluntarily. I assure that wherever he decides to go, we will get him and he will face justice.”
You can’t be in Nigeria or in Lagos, and not have heard of the popular “Yoruba demons”. They are the heat of any Owambe party, they are the heart breakers, the sweet tongues, the prince charming and what have you…
We are not here to talk on the sweet and charming sides of this ethnic group’s men, but rather humorous things such as their mannerism, love for parties, social attitude and more.

Controversial music artiste, Brymo, has become the rave of the moment on Twitter after he shared a questionable and displeasing tweet hours ago,
“Black man suffers at home, black man suffers abroad. Black man suffers everywhere, black man likes to suffer.” – was what Brymo which has caused a stir on Twitter right now!
Tweeps are describing his quote with its timing as illogical, considering the fact that he tweeted it in the aftermath of the loss of two lives of innocent black men in the US, in attacks carried out by Police Officers believed to be racist.
Brymo says black people need to sit up. Music by black artistes should stop being about swag and champagne and hoes.
“Blacks need to make it a point to preach value in all that we do, not everyday money money money. Black people feel helpless but we are not.. We are lazy and illogical!! On the grounds that we don’t solve our problems, we just play blame games… It’s in our homes and work place.”
However, Nigerians don’t give a hoot about his opinions as they’ve gone all ballistic on him with their tweets, some of them he responded to.
A Cherubim and Seraphim church, Ebenezer Model Parish, located at Abiola Way, Abeokuta, Ogun state yesterday reportedly gave their church premises to their Muslim neighbors to have their Eid prayers.
The C&S church were said to have also given the Muslim faithfuls their sound system.
Now the question on everyone’s lips is that will they(Muslims) do the same if a Church were in their shoes?
The debonair male singer who took to his IG page earlier, this morning to wish media personality, Toolz, a happy birthday, also shared this dapper looking image of himself and movie veteran, RMD.
The singer sounded excited as he captioned the photo:
As most people probably know, I’m currently on set filming a movie called “The Wedding Party”. In it, my Egbon @mofedamijo plays my Dad. Now, please pardon me, but this is SUCH a big deal to me… I grew up watching RMD on tv. He’s like my own personal Denzel Washington. And I can tell you this, he’s just as cool, if not cooler, in real life as he is on camera. I kid you not. Very much a legend and an icon of Nigerian Entertainment, Still at the very top of his game decades later, every bit the consummate professional and somehow he remains the nicest guy. I’ve only ever been star struck twice in Africa : the day I met JayJay Okocha, and the day I met RMD.
So it’s even a bigger deal to me to actually get to work with him in this capacity… and it been amazing.
Happy birthday Dad. Thank you for the doors you’ve opened, for leading by example, for being true to yourself and to your craft, for being who you are, and for generally just being awesome. It’s been a pleasure meeting and working with you. God bless and I wish you much more success.
PS: shameless plug: the wedding party comes out in December. This is one film you DON’T wanna miss. Trust me. #BirthdayLove #TheBankStatements
This has got to be the most humourous yet unappealing Twitter trend all July! The response of the Nigerian tweeps are funny though but you can tell of their pain in their tweets.
People have found this job ad by a Lekki based TV Production company despicable after it specifically requested for light skinned girls as TV presenters for the company.
Nigerians in no time, raided the tweet with brutal responses but to the surprise of many, the tweep, who shared the tweet ad, after a while sounded like he cared less of the fierce and harsh comments being thrown at him as he amused himself with the amount of applications he had received in less than 4 hours.
Earlier this morning, Nigerian male singer, Banky W took to his Instagram to reveal how he had a chance with popular media personality, Toolz Oniru Demuren but he instead, sister-zoned her and match-made with his best friend, Tunde Demuren and it became an happily ever after story.
As he shared a heartwarming and prayerful birthday message to the media personality, he shared that he and Toolz had met for a very long time before he met her soul mate.
Banky wrote:
Nigerians also reacted to the singer’s confession, stating that according to the couple, they met on Twitter and now Banky W, has brought his own side to the story – the fans are confused on which to believe.
The obviously stunning ladies looked all lovely and beautiful at their father, Taiwo Odukoya‘s birthday dinner party 3 days ago.
They sure look stunning in these new photos. Their mum, Bimbo Odukoya, – a renowned author and pastor died after she boarded a Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145, bound for Port Harcourt from Abuja on 10th of December 2005.
The above image is a newspaper cut-out reportedly gotten from Daily Times way back in 1970.
It shows veteran actress Bukky Ajayi back then, when she granted an interview to debunk rumours about her dying. Precisely 46 years later, she died aged 82-year-old, at her home in Surulere, yesterday 6th July 2016.
Nollywood actor, Femi Branch moments ago, shared an emotional video on his Instagram page after he learnt of the demise of veteran actress, Bukky Ajayi.
In the short video he shared, the actor said that after he heard she had died, he took out his phone to call her only to find out that he didn’t have her number on his phone.
As shown in the video, he felt so ashamed. He then asked his fellow Nollywood colleagues to try to reach out to each other more often.
He is quoted as saying:
“I just found out that Aunty has passed on and I picked up my phone immediately to call her and I couldn’t find her number and I felt so ashamed and this is what happens to us a whole lot of times especially in this profession.
When work brings us together, we dance, we rejoice, we celebrate, we play. If you see us at that moment you would think we reach out to each other everyday and we relate so well but once we have left that location, that is it. We hardly relate with each other only to find out things about ourselves on the passages of newspapers, blogs.. We need to reach out more”he said
