Young Money female rapper, Nicki Minaj and her MMG rapper boyfriend, Meek Mill are still going strong — as evidenced by Nicki popping up on Meek’s Snapchat earlier this week.
According to sources, they’re tired of bickering.
via TMZ:
Meek’s legal issues put a huge strain on the relationship — especially because Meek wanted Nicki to stay with him during his sentence — but we’re told she’s softened her opposition.
According to our sources, Nicki will be in Philly whenever possible. She has upcoming tour dates in South Africa, but that aside … she’s ride or die.
She posted a selfie from Meek’s crib on Friday … showing off the ring he gave her and the cleavage she’s giving him, we suspect.
“No more fashion calendar,” he tweeted. “I’m going Mad Max… 6 collections a year…3 albums a year.”
Well, considering he says he’s still working on final mixes of The Life of Pablo that technically released last month (or did it?) — we don’t know how he’s going to fit in two more albums.
Comedian Basketmouth’s wife, Elsie Okpocha has made a case for the Embattled Lekki Homes MD, Richard Nyong over the building that collapsed in Lekki.
Read what she took to her instagram to write:
His name is Richard Nyong, the managing Director of Lekki Gardens, the construction company in charge of the 5-storey building which collapsed on Tuesday…… many of us right now would go with the information d media gives….but then, that is the much they know….the truth some of us know and are very sure of is that
Richard’s best friend was put in charge of this said project but he did a very bad job so it was taken away from him and given to another contractor to handle….
This particular building was already marked as defective because of the sub-standard materials that were used
Richard had even signed a contract with another company to repair it
But it was so unfortunate that the labourers had made the place their home since they had nowhere to live and this was definitely against the company’s policy.
Labourers were supposed to leave the site at 6pm and resume at 8am,this building collapsed at 3am
The truth needs to be told and heard, pls let Justice be done appropriately ,this man right here is innocent.
….and may the Souls of the departed rest in peace

Although she is embattled with the court case, which has her sentenced to five years imprisonment, actress Ibinabo Fiberesima who was spotted having lots of fun at AMVCA after party, has indeed gone through some tough moments within the past few months.
In a recent chat with NFC, the AGN President shared the awful times she went through and how she survived breast and cervix cancer.
“I had a lump in my breast and I had a surgery to remove it. It was still on a low level before I discovered it. After the surgery, I was going through emotional problems then I discovered a growth in my cervix during a cervical smear. It was also removed. They have all gone now. I want to use this opportunity to reach out to people, to always go for test and scans.
AGN is starting a programme for its members in every state, then from there, we go round to other people. We will do smear test, breast screening and prostrate screening for men.
We also have plans for eye-test and provision of glasses to those that need it. For those that can’t afford the recommended glasses, my NGO will pay for them.’
She also talked about the court case that she is presently battling and how she feels about the whole trauma.
“Yes, the case is still in court. Whatever is happening doesn’t need to be made public or make so much noise about. Right now, it’s a bit too much and hurts so bad,” she said in an emotional laden voice

Embattled Nigerian Actors Guild president, Ibinabo Fiberisima’s son, Sean has written an open letter to Nigerians, begging them to pray for his mother…
This comes after the court of Appeal upheld her 5 year jail sentence leaving her with just one chance to appeal at the Supreme court.
Sean a footballer wrote…
People of Nigeria,
This is Sean, first and proud son of Ibinabo Fiberesima, I write on here today to plead with all Nigerians to pray for my mother. She is going through the toughest of times right now, and so are we, her family. I’ve been reading heartbreaking comments on her matter that ‘she thinks she’s above the law’, ‘she doesn’t feel sorry for the family of the deceased’, ‘she was drunk and deserves this punishment’, let me get a few things straight with you now.My mother is the most humble woman I know, I was not aware she was a celebrity until I was about 14 and that’s only because my uncle told me, she does not see herself or act as if she is above any other person.
She is a proud Nigerian who loves her country and its people.Secondly, she has been carrying heartbreak around with her for the past 11 years after the accident. She understands the pain for the deceased family and is very hurt about what happened herself.
She has tried her utter most to console with the Family, so don’t ever think she does not care.
Thirdly she was not drunk, the charges are reckless and dangerous driving, first of all I refuse to believe my mother was driving recklessly or dangerous, as I’ve been in a car with her countless times and nothing has happened.
On this occasion it was unfortunate, she was unlucky, her car flipped over which happens to a number of cars and another car smashed into her.
She was in a comma for days, she could have easily lost her life, but thankfully, by Gods strength only she survived. She did not set out that day trying to kill someone or herself.
Right now my mother is broken, and needs the prayer and support of all Nigerians, so please put all your conspiracies about this matter aside, I know it’s between her and God now.
Join us, myself, Craig her son who is 14, Malcolm and Brian her other sons and her beautiful Daughter Zino who is just 8, and the rest of her family, to pray for my Mother. Let God decide what is just and what is not.
Whatever your religion, join us and Pray for my mother as well as the family of the deceased. We can all get through this but not without God.

Femi Ola’s name came up as one of the workers that were killed at the collapsed building at Lekki Gardens Estate, in Lagos State on Tuesday.
Words had gone round to his family members that his remains had been carried away in nylon bags and deposited in a morgue. This, it was learnt, threw the family into a mourning mood and made sympathisers to throng their homes to mourn with the family.
Before they could conclude plans to recover his remains for burial, Femi emerged and caused pandemonium in the house. “A ghost had appeared,” they thought as they scampered for safety. Contrary to their fears, Femi didn’t die in the incident.
Femi who earned the title of kokumo (Yoruba word for somebody that cheated death) narrated to the Nation how he survived thus:
“I was working as a pay loader before the building collapsed. I always slept in the building with others. When the incident happened, they thought that I was one of the dead victims. They had even sent message to my family that they saw my remains being taken away in nylon bags. My mother on hearing the sad news came in the company of my sister to the scene and started crying.
“I was not around all along as I had gone to work in another place. A friend invited me to go to another site with him before the incident happened. If not for the friend that took me out to another site, I would really have died in the building collapse because that was where I used to sleep.
“I thank God for preserving my life. I would go to church and give thanks to him. I was thought to have died but the Lord miraculously saved me.”
The food vendor of the victims, who simply identified herself as Iya Segun, was melancholic when The Nation encountered her.
She told the publication that she had been selling food to the victims for the past three years when the construction work started, adding that their images have been haunting her since the incident occurred.
“The victims and I were together before we closed for the day on Monday. I came back on Tuesday hoping to meet and do business with them as we had always done. But to my dismay, it was the gory sight of the dead bodies of the people that I spent the previous day with that confronted me.
“ I have been in deep shock since the incident occurred as their images have kept flashing through my mind. When I went out to urinate at about 2am on Wednesday, I had to run back to my room because I had a flash back of their images. It is impossible for such thought not to cross one’s mind because we had stayed together for several years.”
The victims include Sunday, one of the most hardworking carpenters on the site. He was a native of Abeokuta in Ogun State. He was married and had three children before his untimely death. Tunde, an iron bender who also died in the incident, was equally married with two children. He was from Ibadan. His colleague, Kazeem, was from Ife. He wasn’t married before his death.”
Seun, an artisan who slept in a high rise building beside the collapsed building, also suffers the same psychological trauma with the food vendor. Narrating the mood of workers on the site after the incident, he said:
“ We were sleeping in another building beside the collapsed building when we suddenly heard a deafening sound. Immediately we heard the sound, we all rushed out. Surprisingly, we saw that it was the building where our colleagues slept that caved in.
“We quickly moved in to rescue the victims. We succeeded in rescuing three people and brought out one that had died before rescue operators arrived. Shortly after that, I left the environment because the images of my dead colleagues kept bombarding my heart and imagination. It wasn’t a good experience to see one’s colleagues who were hustling to make both ends meet mangled in that manner.”
Bidemi, an artisan at the site, alleged that the contractors made life unbearable for them by not paying them their wages for a very long time before the incident occurred.
“ They have been owing us for about a month now. They used to pay us on a weekly basis but for the past four weeks, they have not paid us. This obviously weakened our morale as we could hardly feed and meet the needs of our family members and dependants.
“ This was why the wife of a dead victim brought her child to meet him when he was not sending money to them. This is very painful and regrettable. It shows how callous the regular employers are.”
Mr. Christine Ahisu, a resident of a nearby community in the area, shared his experience of the incident thus:
“I witnessed the disaster since it happened close to my place of residence. The actual number of people who died is more than those being reported. As at today (Thursday), dead bodies are still being evacuated from the site.
“The disaster occurred as a result of the thunderstorm which happened on Tuesday morning. Some of the workers were still staying in the building because the company owed them some money. It is only about 10 of them who survived and there are about 50 of them dead. This is because the building actually sank, not collapse as was widely reported.
That is why some people underground were still making calls for rescue but we are fearing they are now dead, since they have stopped making calls. They were supposed to erect a three-storey building but the owner added two.
“The land in question was sand-filled three months ago and they are laying irons on it almost immediately. There is another building adjacent the place where the same Lekki Garden is building, and they recently sand-filled the place too. Why are they sand-filling a riverine area? They are just reclaiming and sand-filling the whole place.
Florence, an aggrieved resident of the area, argued that the incident was caused by the use of substandard building materials.
“This is not the first time that a building Lekki Graden’s estate would collapse. About two years ago, one of their buildings collapsed at Abraham Adesanya Estate. Now, this one has happened. When I saw them refilling the sea shore, I said these people were not equipped for this because they didn’t take time to do the job. They were very much in a hurry to build the estate. If you check the ground floor, there are so many cracks. Look at the fences of the building and see what has become of it,” she said.
Mr Olumide, a security officer in an adjoining building, told The Nation that a good number of the victims were his friends, regretting that a number of them died labouring in vain.
“If you were here when they were bringing out those bodies, you won’t be able to eat. The victims were my friends. We used to eat noodles together every night.
The painful thing about their death was that so many of them didn’t get paid for the work they did before they died. They laboured in vain.
About 15 dead bodies were recovered within a space of time on that fateful day. Some are insinuating that the heavy wind that accompanied the rainfall on that day caused the collapse. But from my own point of view, the use of substandard materials was responsible for the calamity.”
Residents of adjoining high rise buildings, who spoke with our correspondents, have, however, expressed fears about the strength of their houses.
One of them who did not want his name in print said:
“There is no how that one would not have fears about the strength of the buildings after the incident. It is the collapsed one that we know about, nobody knows what would happen to the already completed ones.
If any of the completed buildings, should collapse, God forbid, the casualty figure would be very high. I think the government would need to carry out tests on all the buildings to check if they are strong enough for people to live in.
if you watch some of the buildings under construction, you will see cracks all around them, especially the ground floors.”
Foluke, another resident, said:
“I have been fear-stricken since the incident happened. I have fears about the safety of my children and family members. So many estates are springing up in the neighbourhood everyday without the relevant authorities overseeing them. They have observed that building housing estates in this area is very lucrative and consequently not concerned about the quality of materials they use in building the houses.”

The life of 23-year-old, Oluchi Obi in the last three months has been one tough journey of suffering, Saturday PUNCH reports…
Obi, an Imo State indigene, just wanted to make a living as a housemaid when she got lucky and got a job through an agent in Ajah area of Lagos.
“All I needed to do was to take care of the household and the man’s three children,” she said.
Obi’s boss, 47-year-old Frank Ikoh, was said to be ill at the time while his siblings were also on hand to take care of him in the house.
They said they just needed the housemaid to take care of the children and other chores in the house.
But that seemingly simple job would later land Obi in detention for 39 days on accusation that she had murdered her boss with a poisoned apple barely one month after she got to the house.
The late Ikoh, who lived with his children in VGC, Ajah, was said to have separated from his wife, Nkechi Nnadi, six years earlier.
The family lawyer said he was down with an illness, which gave him recurrent headache even before Obi was employed as a housemaid.
Obi also told Saturday PUNCH that apart from her, the man’s sister and brother were also living in the house and taking care of him.
But on December 28, Ikoh succumbed to his illness and passed away.
According to the family lawyer, Mr. Courage Erhuen, on January 12, two weeks after Ikoh’s death, a team of policemen with the deceased’s ex-wife in tow, invaded the house and shot teargas into the compound “under the guise of effecting an arrest of a suspect for the murder of our client.”
That day, It was learnt that Obi was arrested by the police, while the ex-wife allegedly marched into Ikoh’s bedroom with the assistance of policemen and took possession of a safe, which the family lawyer said contained Ikoh’s personal effects and vital documents.
Obi said the day she was arrested, she had started preparing the children for school when the policemen came.
“Everywhere was filled with teargas. Everybody, including the children and oga’s (Ikoh’s) siblings, was coughing badly. So, we had to move out. I was shocked when the policemen mentioned my name and said they were looking for me. They took me into custody and the woman took her children away that day,” she said.
According to Obi, she was told when she was locked up at the State Criminal Investigation Department that a petition had been filed by Nkechi, who alleged that she was the one who gave her ex-husband a poisoned apple before he died.
Obi said:
“I had never seen her before until that day. I was shocked and did not know why she would make such an allegation against me when she had not even met me before.
“I told the police that I had never brought apple to the house. Apart from that, the man had been sick before I was employed. The man was not even the kind of a person who collected anything to eat from people anyhow. How could he possibly have collected apple from me?
“The woman told the police that somebody must have given me the poisoned apple to feed to him. She told them that the report she got was that the children even wanted to eat part of the apple but that I refused.
I don’t know what brought about those lies.“I told them all these, yet, they detained me in their terrible cell for almost six weeks. They said until they determined what really killed the man, they would not free me.
I was in the house with the man’s brother and sister and they all knew I had nothing to do with his death, yet the police acted only on what the woman told them.”
Erhuen, who is now representing Obi along with the Ikoh family, said he was surprised that the police could just arrest people based on an unfounded report from someone who has no evidence of crime and lock the suspect up for six weeks.
While Obi was in custody at the SCID, the report of the autopsy invalidating any claim of foul play in the death of the man came out but yet, they did not release the young woman until the intervention by a former NDDC director effected her release.
A copy of the result of the autopsy conducted on the deceased’s body at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, which was signed by one Dr. Mgbehoma Ikenna, showed the primary cause of death as “acute left ventricular failure” while the secondary cause was identified as “hypertensive heart disease”.
On January 28, the late Ikoh’s lawyer, filed a petition at the office of the Assistant Inspector-General of Police calling for the release of Obi and the personal property of the late Ikoh carted away by the police on the orders of the wife.
Again on February 22, another petition was sent to the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, SCID, Yaba.
Erhuen said no action was taken on the issue on both times. Apart from demanding the release of the belongings of Ikoh reportedly taken away, the lawyer is calling on police authorities to take necessary action to remedy the untold hardship brought against the lady as a result of the false accusation against her.
“The police and the ex-wife openly boasted that they were well connected within the corridors of power at the police high command.
When they invaded the house, the deceased’s siblings and relatives tried to stop them from taking the man’s safe away, but the police descended on them and beat them up,” he said.
Attempts to get hold of the deceased’s ex-wife have been abortive as an individual who picked her phone when contacted said she did not know anyone by that name.
Classic Nollywood sweetheart, Nkiru Sylvanus has debunked the reports that she secretly got married, stating that her getting married will come in due time.
Reports had it that she got married to Oge Okoye‘s husband but in a new interview with Saturday Beats, says:
“I should be dating, don’t you think so?” ‘I will settle down whenever it comes, it is a thing of the mind, so when you think your mind is ready to settle down, you will.
For me, it could be now, it could be tomorrow, next year or next five years. For instance, male fans will always try to woo me, it’s part of living, but you have to have a polite way of saying no. If I say no, I mean no’.
The wedding between his Imperial Majesty Oba, Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi and Wuraola Otiti Zynab Obanor, started yesterday in Benin, Edo State. (See First Photos Here)
It continued today at the Edo Hotel, Okada Drive, GRA, Benin. A thanksgiving ceremony will hold tomorrow at the Royal Court of Ife, Aafin, Enuwa Square in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
Recall We brought you first photos a few hours ago, now the Ooni of Ife has paid his new bride’s dowry (Wuraola) which was N25.
Oh and by the way brethren, the Ooni of Ife was absent at the wedding today…
I actually wanted to make a Joke about the bride price! But naah! I love the Ooni of Ife Die!
On Monday in Rivers State, a former hair dresser, Blessing Etoor, defied doctor’s instruction that she would be delivered of her babies by Cesarean section, by giving birth to a set triplets around 1am on Monday at home through the natural means.
She and her husband, John Etoor, now have 10 children (six girls and four boys). And according to Punch, people have been visiting the one-bedroom apartment of the Etoors on hearing how the woman from Ekiti State shunned doctor’s directive and gave birth to triplets at home.
Her husband recalled that he had kicked against the Cesarean section written on her card by the doctor at the General Hospital, Nchia, because none of his wife’s family had the history of undergoing such a method of giving birth.
He called for financial support from government and public-spirited individuals.
Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi will today wed his new bride, Wuraola Otiti Zynab Obanor, an architect based in Dubai, UAE from Benin, Edo state.
It’s being attended by first class kings, political juggernauts, business titans and high-octane socialites from near and far. Photos below show the arrival of His Imperial Majesty’s Royal entourage in Benin for the wedding ceremony.
The traditional wedding is expected to kick off at noon at the Edo Hotel, Okada Drive, GRA Benin City, Edo State. A thanksgiving ceremony of the traditional union will hold tomorrow at the Royal Court of Ife, Aafin, Enuwa Square in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
The choice of Benin for the first part of the wedding is because the new Olori has Benin roots and is also from Ile-Ife.
Oba Enitan Ogunwusi is a young monarch in his early 40s and stupendously rich. Tradition supports this marriage and there is likelihood of the Ooni marrying more as he progresses in his reign.
It should be noted that Obas, generally, are not restricted to one wife.

One Nigerian couple, Olamide and Olanshile incorporated the ‘old school theme’ idea into their Ibadan wedding which happened recently and it was super cool.
Another interesting thing about the wedding was the groom’s best woman. His best friend was a woman so rather than have a best man, he had a best lady.
It’s been almost two years since they had their breakup, foreign singer, Jason Derulo has spoken on his breakup with Jordin Sparks, claiming that he never cheated on her, but thought he could change her.
The singer, who is currently dating 50 Cent’s ex, Daphene Joy told Xonecole:
“Things could’ve been different had different choices been made from her side. I felt some kind of way because the world thought it was my fault, and I broke up with her. So they kind of fucked with me only from that perspective. I was really disappointed in her and how she handled it because she made people believe that it was my fault. Like Wendy Williams asked her ‘so we heard that he cheated, is that why you guys broke up?’
and she says, ‘No comment.’ Like what the fuck you mean no comment?!”“I thought that I could change her through the course of time, and I couldn’t. I realized that I felt better off when I was by myself,”
I realize that myself is important, too,” he continues. “I watched how my dad was good with my mom because he always put her first, so I always try to be like that—to my own detriment, though, because I just was going in too hard and forgot about my own wellbeing. I learned that I got to also keep myself in mind as well.”
Our Nigerian Brethren have expressed their displeasure over the fact that the Managing Director of Lekki Gardens was arrested over the building in his estate that collapsed a few days killing about 34 people, while Prophet TB Joshua still remains free following the 2014 building that collapsed in his Synagogue Church of All Nations premises which killed 115 people.
Freeze Cool FM has also voiced his opinion on the issue he calls double standards:
What really is Justice???
I have no qualms seeing a young man who committed a crime pay for that crime. Life is sad, before Richard came along, you could not dream of buying a house in LEKKI for 20million naira, his dream was to make choice housing affordable and available. Somewhere down the line mistakes were made and lives were lost! And yes I agree…… Someone must pay!
Now my questions;
Why is he in handcuffs and remanded in prison when that ‘prophet’ whose building collapsed and killed more people than Ebola, Lassa fever and this alleged ‘LEKKI gardens’ put together is walking free??? Why is that prophet not in handcuffs too??? It was even alleged, that he didn’t show up in court the last time the courts sat. Is this true??? If it is true, then why is Richard ‘remanded’ in prison while Mr prophet ‘comes from home’??? Is there a special court for ‘prophets’ or do we have special ‘laws’ for them???
Is our government afraid of prophets???
Are the people who lost their lives in the Church less valuable than the people who lost their lives in the LEKKI Gardens saga?
My humble advice: Richard should be released to go home and attend hearings from home like the ‘prophet’. Or the ‘prophet’ should be picked up, handcuffed and locked in the same cell with Richard while he attends trial!
Or does the change we voted for include turning Nigeria into the African version of George Orwell’s ‘Animal Farm’, where “All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others?”
I might not know law and justice, but I definitely know injustice!
I appeal to everyone to lend their voice to this and ensure we have ‘JUSTICE FOR ALL’
Please retweet this hashtag untill we are heard! #Justice4A

A young student has decided to end his life after he failed the recently conducted UTME results.
The unidentified young man could not live with the fact that he could not not make the cut off marks in the examinations and felt the only way out is to end it all.
This is how a source in the know captured the ugly scenario:
“A student has allegedly killed himself over the issue of his UTME. This boy claims to be writing his UTME for the first time and reportedly scored 159 which gives him no chances of admission.
Officials should find something to do to this failure before it gets out of hand.”
Nigerian rapper and singer, Modupe-Oreoluwa Oyeyemi Ola popularly known by her stage name Mocheddah shared the above pic of her late dad with an emotional tribute on Instagram.

Hey daddy,
I miss your smile, I miss your laugh , I miss your love , I miss your hugs , I miss our chats , I miss singing to you, I miss your beautiful heart ,
All this time has passed but I miss you still.. It’s almost 10 years since you left and They say time heals but I haven’t, I still feel that pain, that indescribable heart ache, that empty space….. I carry you in my heart everyday and I ask myself ” what would daddy want me to do?” I hope I have made you proud of all I have done.. i only hope to be half the person you were, because no one, I mean no one can be as amazing as you, that’s why God had to have you.
I love you more than every and anything daddy… I’m sad you aren’t here so all I have to do is keep “missing you”. Sleep well JULIUS BABATUNDE OLA… Love, dupy dupy.
