Dr. Nono Orji, a 28 year old female who recently went ahead to have a Registry wedding with her lover without the parents consent, is crying for help.

She had introduced her man to her parents but they didn’t want him for her (They wanted Stanley), yet she went ahead to marry him without their consent.

The action got her family members angry so her embittered father used the men of the Nigerian Police Force to arrest her husband, Ugo, and he’s been denied access to his lawyer and family members.

She decided to speak out with the hopes that her voice is heard and someone in a higher place helps secure the release of her husband.

My parents have been with my certificates since August 2015. Now they have my husband in the cell since yesterday, on account of ABDUCTION. They have peddled that I’m already married to Stanley Amaefule. Stanley has stated in emails and chats that my family and I shouldn’t get him involved in this useless drama. But he still speaks with my people and they encourage him that he will have his wife in the end. My mother has gone to my husband’s people to destroy the already-shaking relation, by accusing their son of hypnotising me, and that I am feeding their son. My other siblings are coerced, I believe, into doing and saying things. My junior brother has referred to me as a criminal, and that if I’m seen, I would be caught by the police. Relatives and friends of all status have come in and out of the matter over the past 6 months, but no one is really now to fight my father, very understandable by his present actions. A man in Asokore community in the Eastern regional capital, Koforidua, Ghana suspected to be involved in money rituals has been found dead in a well.

The body of Eric Boakye was discovered in the well after several hours of manhunt. The deceased, 22, was alleged to have used his late son for money rituals but failed. According to residents, he was subsequently struck by a strange ailment that saw his body peeling off and decomposing. His family reportedly abandoned him.

A bus conductor, Taheed Adekunle, who was accused of damaging a passenger’s scrotum during dispute over transportation fare, was on Thursday remanded in prison by a Tinubu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.

Adekunle, 19, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to a charge of assault.

The Magistrate, Mr Ade Adefulire, ordered that the accused should be remanded in Kirikiri Prisons till the next date of adjournment for fact and sentencing.

The Prosecutor, ASP Ignatius Okeke, told the court that the accused committed the offence on March 12 at about 5:50pm at Ajah Motor Park in Lagos.

Okeke said that the accused during a dispute with a passenger, Samuel Amosun, over the high price of transportation fare from Ajah to Oshodi, kicked Amosun in the scrotum.

He said that the victim was presently on admission in the hospital with swollen scrotum.

Okeke said that the offence contravened Section 171 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

The Magistrate adjourned the case till March 21 for sentencing.
