As part of efforts to support the children left behind by the late Minister of State for Labour, Mr James Ocholi (SAN), the Federal Government has announced automatic employment at the Federal Ministry of Justice for Aaron, his eldest son.
The Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, revealed this to the Ocholi family when he paid a visit to his Kado Estate residence at about 3:00pm on Tuesday, to convey his and President Muhammadu Buhari’s condolence message.

He also disclosed that Aaron’s other siblings would enjoy scholarships for their educational pursuits, courtesy of the Federal Government who has pledged to cushion the effect of the loss of their parents.
The Minister added that the Senior Advocate was a very critical part of the change effort of the Federal Government.
He said that President Buhari personally mandated him to inform the family of the late Minister that his administration would do all within its power to ensure he is not missed.
Mr Malami consoled them that death was a necessary end that was bound to happen, adding that God in his infinite mercy had a reason for allowing them to depart the way they did.
“I am here to convey Mr President’s condolence message and he has asked me to personally inform you that you have been given automatic employment in the Federal Ministry of Justice. The employment letter is in process and you can resume work after now”, he told Ocholi’s eldest son.
“Your father was a very hardworking and conscientious member of the Federal Executive Council who was very passionate and worked hard for the realisation of the change agenda of this government.
“Indeed, it is a sad moment for all of us and the vacuum which his death has created is not only for the family, but the leadership as well. He was a great pillar in the struggle which brought this administration to power. He played a major role in the merger process,” the AGF said.
Mr Malami also recalled that as far back as the days of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), Ocholi was one of those who stood strong behind President Buhari and was one of those who took part in the judicial struggle afterward in an effort to claim the presidential mandate at the election tribunal up to the Supreme Court at that time.
He prayed that his departed soul rests in peace.
The Minister of State for Labour and Employment died in a road accident along the Kaduna-Abuja highway on Sunday, March 6, along with his wife and son.
The deceased and his family were returning from a private visit in Kaduna.

The self acclaimed mega superstar who clocked 20 on February 29 was given a surprise by his classmates as they hosted him to a surprise birthday party.

It can be recalled that Korede matriculated at the NIJ on November 9, 2015 to obtain his higher national diploma (HND) and was initially reported to be missing classes which made some of his lecturers threaten him of not going to graduate.
It seems he has now turned over a new leaf and adjusted his programme to accommodate his academic pursuit.

A five-storey building collapsed in the early hours of Tuesday at Lekki Phase 1, Lagos State, resulting in the deaths of at least four people. Four people have been recovered dead and six others rescued.

Latest reports from the scene of the collapsed building at Lekki, Lagos: Six persons have now been pulled out of the rubble, dead.
Fifteen people were also rescued injured, 10 more than the initial estimate.
The five-storey structure collapsed around 3 a.m this morning as storm and rain hit Lagos today.
Monalisa Chinda recently got married to her husband, Victor on February 20, 2016 in a grand ceremony in Port Harcourt.
The actress has finally opened up on how they met and how she came to be married for the second time.

And he said ‘don’t call me uncle, I am not your uncle, I am now your husband.” I got angry and didn’t talk to him again for a while because i didn’t understand what he meant by calling me his wife, as i wasn’t thinking about settling down as at then. Marriage was the last thing on my mind, so i was thrown aback and wondered what the heck was going on. Then i was summoned to come to Port Harcourt to see his dad and coincidentally I found out that he had never brought any woman to introduce to his dad before.”
Monalisa was formerly married to Segun Dejo-Richard and their marriage crashed in 2009 following domestic abuse. They had a child together.

Apparently, Ever since the news broke out about the existence of a second baby mama, reports have been circulating about Wizkid’s alleged refusal to take responsibility of the baby who’s mother is Guinean-American Binta Diallo.
Recall In an interview with The Shaderoom, Miss Diallo alleged that Starboy Wizzy has refused to own up to his parental responsibilities and referred to him as a ‘deadbeat dad’.

Koyo Bala, a 36 year old Popular South African singer passed on yesterday, March 7th after his two year battle with Anal Cancer. Koyo was HIV positive.
Bala was part of a pop gay trio known as 3Sum who were known in the South African entertainment industry as activists for gay rights.
Bala returned to Cape Town from Johannesburg on Sunday March 6th, complained of having serious pains. He was taken to the Groote Schuur hospital that same day but died the following morning.
In 2011‚ Bala disclosed that he was HIV-positive. In 2014 he was diagnosed with anal cancer.
His last tweet about his illness was in February reads:

She refused…He then carried out the perfect revenge, blocking and erasing all messages from the phone and then reported it stolen…Apparently, he bought and registered the iPhone with his email and his name.

Police in Osun State, yesterday, intercepted a vehicle loaded with 14 goats in Ede, headquarters of Ede South Local Government Area, detained the goats, while the driver escaped.
A police source said a team of policemen patrolling Sekona/Nigerian Army Regiment Construction Company Highway saw a speeding red Mitsubishi car, with number plates XF 467 NND at Sekona junction around 1a.m. They ordered him to stop. The driver refused.
The police team, led by one Inspector Ajayi Sunday, chased the driver from Sekona junction to Cemetery Area in Edun-Abon, where the driver parked the vehicle and escaped before the police arrived.
The vehicle and the goats were taken to the station. Confirming the arrest of the goats, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Folasade Odoro, said the goats had been detained.
She said the goats would remain in the police custody until the owner(s) showed up, adding that investigation had begun., Vanguard reports.

Another tragedy has occurred in the highbrow Lekki area of Lagos State as a five-storey building under construction has collapsed, leaving four people dead and many still trapped inside.
Eyewitnesses say the building which was nearing completion, collapsed after the heavy downpour in the city this morning at about 8am. The dead and the trapped are said to be construction workers who had resumed early for the day’s job.
The collapsed building is said to be at the Chisco bus stop opposite Oando Gas station along the Lekki-Epe Expressway.
At the time of this report, officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and the Lagos State Fire Service are on ground helping in the rescue operation. The Director of the State Fire Service, Rasaq Fadipe, has confirmed the incident though he is silent on the figure of the death, just as a number of injured people have been rescued so far.
