Head of States, President Muhammadu Buhari has disclosed that some past government officials who stole public funds have voluntarily started returning parts of their loots to government coffers.
The President had this information revealed on Tuesday during an interactive session with members of the Nigerian community in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He said:
“On corruption; yes, they (the past government officials) are still innocent. But, we are collecting documents and some of them have started voluntarily returning something. But we want all. When we get those documents, we will formally charge them to court and then we will tell Nigerians to know those who abused trust when they are entrusted with public funds.
So, the day of reckoning is gradually approaching.”
Samra Kesinovic, a 17 year old teenager, pictured left who fled Austria in April 2014 along with her friend Sabina Selimovic (right), is believed to have been beaten to death by ISIS terrorists having tried to sneak out of Raqqa.
Her friend, Sabina is believed to have died in December during a period of heavy fighting. Both girls appeared in propaganda videos for ISIS soon after they arrived in Syria.Her friend who went with her was killed months earlier.
Samra Kesinovic, and her friend Sabina Selimovic became ‘poster girls‘ for ISIS after they arrived in Syria in April 2014.
A number of Austrian newspapers have reported that Samra has been beaten to death for attempting to leave Raqqa.

Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has said that the immediate past Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, who is now the Minister of Works, Power and Housing, is not an achiever.
The Publicity Secretary of Lagos PDP, Mr. Taofik Gani, said this during a telephone interview with Punch on Tuesday.
He said:
“Can Fashola point to any low-cost housing scheme he did in his eight years as governor? The houses he built under the Lagos Home Owners Scheme cost about N15m on average. Can the Eko Atlantic – which cost hundreds of millions of naira to buy – be classified as affordable housing? Can Fashola be compared with former Governor Lateef Jakande who built over 20,000 housing units in four years?
“There is nothing super about Fashola. He was only compensated by President Muhammadu Buhari because Lagos contributed greatly to Buhari’s campaign.”
The PDP said Fashola’s performance in the area of works when he was governor was abysmal. Gani said most of the projects that Fashola took credit for were done by concessionaires and private companies
He added:
“Fashola was a governor that relied heavily on propaganda. Most of the projects he did were through Public-Private Partnerships while some came about through the CSR programmes of some companies.
“Projects were done by private investors and concessionaires. So, as far as we are concerned, he never merited the praises showered on him. He ran a government of mediocrity.”
The PDP spokesman recalled that Fashola had said, while criticizing former President Goodluck Jonathan in March, that he could fix the electricity problem within a year. Gani, therefore, urged Fashola to live up to his words.
Gani, while evaluating the performance of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, said he did not need to criticise Ambode since Lagosians were doing that every day.
He said:
“Ambode has not performed well. Ambode inaugurated some BRT buses but what has the state benefitted from the ones on the ground? And now the Senate has approved $200m for Ambode’s government. It is unfortunate.”

The Conference of Islamic Organisations, CIO, has made a passionate plea to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state to allow Muslim girls wear hijab to schools.
This comes after the former Governor of Lagos, Babatunde Fashola had banned the use of hijab in all Lagos public schools, forcing the muslim community to sue the state government over the issue.
During a courtesy visit on the Lagos Commissioner for Home Affairs, Dr. Abdullateef Abdulkareem on Tuesday, they pleaded for a reserve of the order.
Coordinator, CIO, Alhaji Abdullahi Shuaib said one of the thing they demanded from Ambode before he became governor was to protect religious freedom, saying that all over the world, muslim women were distinct because of hijab they normally wore.
He said when hijab was outlawed in Lagos school, the freedom of the female Muslims was breached, saying that it was as if government was at war with the Muslim community.
“This issue is very critical and the Lagos State Government should look at it critically. Muslims have ways of life which cannot be taken away from them, which is to use hijab,” he said, adding that even in advanced countries, Muslims were not restricted from using hijab.
He appealed to the commissioner to prevail on the governor to allow Muslim girls wear hijab to school.

Younger brother to the late All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Prince Abubakar Audu, revealed he died shortly after the results of the governorship was announced.
Alhaji Tijani Audu (pictured above) revealed that his late brother died after the Returning Officer, Prof Emmanuel Kucha, declared the election inconclusive, and not on Sunday morning as being reported.
According to Daily Trust, he told journalists that the late politician had listened to and watched the collation of the results before he died.
“I was with him when the whole thing started. I was told in the morning of Saturday that he was sick and I called him to confirm but he said he was okay and would be coming to vote by 1pm, and he came without showing any sign of sickness and we went together to vote.
“But the following day (Sunday) by 10 am, I went there to see him and his children said he was having health challenges and was weak, I even advised that after the announcement of the result he should go abroad for treatment”, he said.
He said Audu lived and fought for his people and would continue to be remembered for his sacrifices and doggedness.
Reports have it that a middle aged Kenyan man simply identified as – Christopher Bodo (Pictured Left) allegedly battered his wife black blue after suspected and accused her of infidelity.
According to Diana Okello, a Kenyan women rights activist who shared the photos on her Facebook wall, after attacking his wife, Bodo stripped her naked and raped her in front of their four children and house help.
The case has been reported at a Kenyan police station but he has not been arrested.

Saudi Arabia has sentenced a Palestinian poet to death for renouncing his Muslim faith.The execution order was handed down to Ashraf Fayadh, 35, by a judge on Tuesday, The Guardian reports.
Adam Coogle, Middle East researcher for Human Rights Watch, told Reuters he had read the trial documents, which make it “very clear he has been sentenced to death for apostasy.”
Fayadh was arrested by the country’s religious police in 2013. In 2014, he was tried in court and sentenced to four years in prison and 800 lashes. But the verdict was appealed, and another judge handed Fayadh the death sentence.
While Saudi Arabia is a major U.S. ally against violent Islamic extremists, its justice system is based on an extreme interpretation of Sharia law.
Fayadh’s conviction appears to be based on evidence from a witness for the prosecution who said he heard the poet cursing God, Islam’s Prophet Mohammad and Saudi Arabia, and on the contents of a poetry book he wrote in 2008, according to Reuters.
Fayadh’s supporters say, however, the government is punishing him for publishing a video that shows the religious police, known as the mutaween, publicly lashing a man in the city of Abha, southeastern Saudi Arabia.
The poet was a leading figure in the country’s contemporary art scene and had curated shows in Jeddah and at the Venice Biennale before he was arrested, The Guardian said.
His Instagram account, last updated more than two years ago, shows a man with a playful sense of humor, and a love for art, animals, sunsets and American music.
“I was really shocked but it was expected, though I didn’t do anything that deserves death,” Fayadh told the The Guardian after his sentencing.
Nigerian rapper, Naeto C has responded to reports that his marriage slowed down his career. The father of two who got married in 2012 dropped his first album in three years ”Festival‘ this month.
He told Encomium though he hasn’t released a song as great as 10/10, it has nothing to do with getting married.
I got married in July 2012. Later that year, I released Tony Montana. The song did a lot for me. I have released songs with Phyno and Flavour. At least, I release two, three singles every year. Now that you are married, do you still have time for your female fans? How did they react when you announced you were getting married?
I got text messages showing disappointment. A good friend of mine who is also a musician told me that when he got married, he lost some fans and also gained some. Some didn’t want you married. They want to fantasize on the possibility of being your woman. I got married because I found a friend, a companion that I want to spend the rest of my life with. That was the best decision I made. It made me a better person. I take pictures with my female fans, I sign autographs with them, anything outside that is inappropriate.
If you were not married, would you be in the league of artistes with baby mama?
No, people intentionally want baby mama for their own reasons. At times, it is accidental. Part of the reasons I decided to get married when I did was because I didn’t want to find myself in that situation. I don’t believe in raising kids out of wedlock, it is not easy. It is very difficult. If I wasn’t married, I would be more concerned about settling down than having a friend who will give me a baby.

THE BARBERS SEAT:The first time I cut my hair was when I was nine. I had been giving my mum hell on sunday evenings when it was time to get it woven for school. She just decided to put an end to my nonsense and took me to Baba Barber in Obalende . I remember being strapped to his squeaky old ,reclined metal and torn brown leatherchair … It must have taken four adults to hold me down .
I can never forget.. How can I ? Baba gave me the full treatment . He was determined to impress my mother . He not only shaved off all my hair ..
He took off every strand that lined my face and replaced it with a sharp concave line from ear to ear with his manual rusty clippers .. I was devastated . I walked into class the next day greeted with what sounded like a silent but long eeeeeeew from every one . The experience marred me.. I’ve seen baba in a few nightmares attempting to dispossess me of my Afro .
So imagine my horror when my hair started dramatically falling out two months after my boys were born . I was deluded by someone who told me I was lucky to be carrying boys as ‘boys don’t take you hair away ‘ they give you even more .. She was right.. Intially at least ..Never had better hair than when I was pregnant .. So slowly but surely Baba barber was beckoning another visit .. But I decided that this time around ..it was going to be on my own terms ..
I was going to love my scalp back to a happy place and then cut hair myself when the time was right … Just to start over. Today was that day ..a shoot didn’t happen so I had a lil time in my hands I chopped it all off.. ??Not with old rusty clippers but my own scissors ..It makes me look even more like my mum.. So will I be missing my big fro?Absolutely!!But then again ..I’m a Nigerian oman in 2015 and I watch YouTube ??I know a thousand ways to get that baby bouncing in air again ..In a heartbeat .. Kim Jong-un has allegedly condemned his right-hand man who dared to defy him, new reports claim. North Korea’s dictator has sent Choe Ryong Hae (pictured with Kim), a popular member of his inner-circle, for “re-education“.
It is understood that Choe Ryong Hae may have defied Kim Jong-un, who over the past 18 months has brutally executed many of his high-ranking military and political chiefs.
Those sent for “re-education” are usually subjected to brutal psychological torture.
Speaking to CNN, Victor Cha, from the Centre for Strategic and International studies, said:
“It’s not a country club, it is almost certainly a very gruelling process where there is both mental and physical abuse.”

It all started when John Dumelo in an interview, stated that Ghanaians showed give President Mahama time to fix the energy crisis the country is facing since it’s not easy.
Yvonne Nelson who has been friends with John for years, then launched her DumsorMustStop campaign on Instagram and invited a couple of celebrities to join the campaign.
However, conspicuously missing in the list was John Dumelo which made an Instagram follower ask the actress why she didn’t invite John. Yvonne’s response was; John likes to lick ass“.
