Nigeria’s Former president, Goodluck Jonathan revealed himself and his wife Patience Jonathan planned to stay away from the news for at least 12 months.

Ruth Wanjiru Kamanda, aged 21, has been charged to court by Kenyan police for stabbing her boyfriend, Farid Mohammed, 24, 21 times to death in Buruburu on Sunday, September 20, after she found love messages from another woman on his mobile phone.
Kamanda, who also sustained stab wounds on her stomach, right thigh and left hand during the incident is being handcuffed on her hospital bed at Kenyatta National Hospital as police continue with man-slaughter investigations.
Kamanda stabbed the Mohammed 21 times on the chest, stomach, neck, back and face. Buruburu OCPD Richard Kerich said Mohammed died in hospital while undergoing treatment for the multiple stab wounds on his back, stomach, chest and neck.
According to source, Kamada found love messages on the deceased’s mobile phone and when she confronted him, he denied knowledge of the sender, this led to an argument between them in the course of which Kamanda was alleged to have picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed Mohammed severally.
She is currently under constant police surveillance.
The landlord, Mr Ndwiga Gatimu, said that he heard the deceased crying for help from Ngarania Court, house number 539 and went to check. He saw Ms Wanjiru, popularly known as “Biggy” walking inside the house. She however refused to open the door prompting him to call the police. Police visited the scene and forced the door open.
They found blood stains on the sitting room, but when they checked the bedroom, they found the deceased lying in bed, with 22 stab wounds.
Police have sought the help of mobile service providers after the deceased phone was found completely smashed and no data could be retrieved from the shell. Other exhibits collected from the scene include a laptop, the blood stained knife, blood-stained bed sheets and pillows.

Popular Kenyan Actress, Nana Gichuru died in a car crash on the Eastern bypass, Kenya on Tuesday September 22, 2015 after her car rammed into a lorry.
Police and witnesses say the actress appeared to have been trying to overtake a number of vehicles in her BMW when she collided head-on with an oncoming truck.
Nana was an actor, writer, musician, voice artist, and young film maker.

“Rack City” rapper, Tyga has reportedly cancelled a Brazilian tour because of Kylie’s disapproval. The rapper was due to play three eagerly-awaited gigs in Brazil this week, but is now reportedly facing a huge fine after canceling at the last minute.
In a statement, the furious local organizers of the tour said Tyga’s reps had informed them ‘he would not be coming to Brazil for his shows because he was stopped by his current girlfriend, media personality and socialite Kylie Jenner, Daily Mail reports.
We are very upset in finding out an artist lacks the professionalism and the love for Brazilian fans, and allows something personal to interfere with his work schedule,’ added Alexandre Stocco, of AS Productions, and Andre Marques, of Amarx Productions.
His much-publicized tour was set to start today in Sao Paulo and the last minute cancellation has led many to mock the 24-year-old bad-boy rapper for being more puppy than Tyga.

An obviously scorned wife decided to dump her alleged cheating husband by erecting a billboard sign on his way to work. The message was written boldy on the board on a major commuter route into the the Yorkshire city.
It read:

The message which has gone viral on social media has many hailing her move. Mark Catterall, from advertising agency, Kong Media who sold Lisa the advertising space, said she paid “hundreds of pounds” for her exit sign.

The Nigerian Armed forces have reportedly arrested a high ranked Boko Haram Commander identified as Bulama Modu and 43 others. According to a statement by the Acting Director of the Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman , the captured Boko Haram Kingpin, Modu , belonged to the Amir cadre of the deadly sect.
“Please recall that yesterday advancing troops along Banki axis made tremendous progress in which they cleared two Boko Haram terrorists’ camps at Jangurori and Bulatori villages.In addition to that, the troops have also arrested 43 suspected Boko Haram terrorists including one of the Boko Haram kingpins in the area, Bulama Modu, who is an ‘Amir’ of Bulakuri. The troops also rescued 241 women and children during the operation.
“To further confirm what was said earlier about the terrorists abandoning their commanders and burying weapons, one Mohammed Modu led troops to where he buried his AK-47 rifle at Jangurori village.
“Apart from arms and ammunitions, bows and arrows recovered from Bulama Modu, the kingpin, he confirmed that the terrorists also gave him a horse to enhance his deadly pursuits.”
Gambo was said to have told the troops that the suicide bombers and the IEDs used for the attack on Northern Cameroun were prepared by the trio of Abdulrahaman Alkali, Isa, Ba’ana Hisuba and Alkali Isa Karami, all natives of Dara Jamel.

A woman identified as Faith Nuhu and five others who specialized in child kidnapping and sale of children were reportedly paraded at the Abuja police headquaters.
The suspects, among them, a medical doctor, were arrested after Faith Nuhu, kidnapped three of her sister’s children but ended up selling two of them at N600,000 to one Evelyn Ojiaku, who operates an illegal maternity home at Owerri, Imo State, Daily Sun reports.
The kidnapped children, Grace Musa Idris, aged 13, Philip Musa Idris, 3, and Paul Musa Idris, were allegedly kidnapped by Faith from their home in Kafachan, Kaduna State on the pretext of going to buy them biscuits.
Faith who is an aunt to the children was said to have immediately taken the children to the motor park, where she boarded a vehicle to Owerri.
But on the way, she dumped the eldest of the children, Grace, who they felt was too old and intelligent to understand when things go wrong along the Abuja-Jos highway and continued with the two other children Philip and Paul.
However, help came the way of the young girl after some motorists, who saw her wandering stopped asked her what she was doing alone on the busy road.

After narrating her story, they gave her lift and reported the matter to the nearest police station, where policemen on duty made contacted with her parents who in turn showed up to pick her up.
The suspect was later arrested through police analytical tracking system. After her arrest, the suspect confessed to the police that she was not alone in the kidnap business and led the police to other members of her gang in Edo and Imo state.
Other members of the gang include Chigozie Goodwill, Mrs. Evelyn Ojiaku, John Ojiaku, Elizabeth Onyemaobi, and Dr. Amadi Godwin Uzoma.
When the suspects were paraded before newsmen at the Force headquarters Abuja, the Force Public Relations Officer said one of the suspects, Evelyn Ojiaku operates a private hospital, Royal Maternity/Clinic and child service around the Umuyi Akaba Ikeduru, off Kilometer 6, Owerri-Okigwe, road and also engages in sale of children.
The police also revealed that the woman had earlier bought a day old baby belonging to Faith Nuhu, for N100,000 and that she operates her illegal maternity home with the connivance with one of her sons, John Ojiaku.

Doctors in New Nigeria Hospital at Kirikiri area of Lagos State, are currently battling to save the life of a young artiste who was shot by a yet- to -be-identified Army officer, last Wednesday morning.
It was learned that the victim was returning home from the studio with his friend when he was shot by the soldier. He was later rushed to a nearby hospital that same night for treatment.
When Vanguard visited the hospital, yesterday, the victim who was lying critically ill in one of the male wards, was barely able to speak. He narrated his ordeal: “I was coming back from the studio with my friend at about 2am when we noticed the presence of the Army officer. My friend attempted to run because he was afraid when the officer stopped us. He told me to run but I refused. While we were at the studio, my friend had smoked Indian hemp and was misbehaving, despite efforts made to stop him from smoking that night.
“I tried to explain our mission to the officer and why we were returning home at that particular time of the night, but he still kept on suspecting us. At this stage, my friend took to his heels and I followed him. The officer then ran after us and when I became tied, he shot at my leg four times. The pain was unbearable and I became unconscious. The next morning, I woke up only to see myself at the New Nigeria Hospital battling with pains. Since then, I haven’t heard from my friend.”
The owner of the hospital, Dr Geoffrey Orajekwe, who spoke to Vanguard, said some policemen and other individuals brought the victim to the hospital around 3am. He said when he was about closing for the night, the officers asked him to start administering treatment immediately without initial deposit.
“Up till now, nobody has paid for his medical bill. Though I heard some gunshots that night but I didn’t know what was happening until I saw the victim. Seeing the condition of the boy, I immediately picked up courage, took him to one of the wards and had to open the left and right legs of the boy to remove the bullets before it spreads to the joint. I finally found the bullets and I assure you that he would be fine very soon,” the doctor said.
