Talented Comedian, Julius Agwu and his youngest child stepped out on Saturday 8th August, ’15 in matching Agbada outfits where his family attended a church program at a RCCG Parish in Lagos.
The comedian’s wife Ibiere shared the photos on her Instagram and revealed it is his first major outing in months.
Julius Agwu recently underwent a brain surgery but he hasn’t returned to work since then.

The 2015 election of National Association of Nigerian Prostitutes, NANP, has been marred with violence. DAILY POST gathered that violence broke out Sunday after former secretary of the association, Jessica Elvis was declared winner of the keenly contested election, which took place at a popular hangout, along Lasu-Iba road on Saturday.
It was gathered that Elvis polled 300 votes to defeat the incumbent, Madam Felix Efoyo, who garnered 153 votes as well as Nasarawa State Coordinator, Tamar Tion who got 63 votes.
However, the incumbent rejected the outcome of the election, claiming that the election was marred with irregularities.
Shortly after the 2015 electoral committee chairman, Franca ‘Top Up’ Chikam announced Elvis as the winner, the incumbent, Madam Efoyo revolted and ordered for a fresh election on the ground that she was rigged out.
In the cause of the argument, fight broke out and one person believed to be loyal to Efoyo broke a bottle and stabbed one of their members.
A female Lagos resident has been said to have committed suicide by jumping into a well in the Idimu Local Government Area of Lagos State, after she was shunned by her daughter.
55-year-old mother of five, Amoke Adeko, jumped into a well in front of her residence at Ajilekege Street, Pipeline bus stop, Idimu, Lagos State. She was recovered dead at about 11pm by officials of the Lagos State Fire Service.
It was learnt that she had been traumatised after her husband died eight months ago. Her grandson was said to be marking his birthday in the Igando area on the fateful day.
A resident spoke with PUNCH MEtro, stating that Adeko’s daughter, Amirat, the mother of the birthday boy, had brought a package of food prepared during the ceremony for her mother. It was said that Amirat, however, refused to give the woman the package in person, but sent someone else to take the food to her.
It was learnt that Adeko took the action as being shunned by her daughter and decided to end her life.
The resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said:

“The woman had not been herself since her husband died. Amirat brought the food for her that afternoon, but she avoided her and sent it through someone elese.
“I don’t know why she did that, but the mother felt embarrassed because she saw her daughter from afar. It was around 5pm. About two hours later, she jumped into the well.”
It was also learnt that a neighbour, who heard a sudden thud, rushed to the well and saw Adeko’s slippers beside it. He was said to have raised the alarm after he went to her room and looked round the compound but did not find her.
Adeko’s first son, Ahmed, said he was not aware that Amirat shunned their mother, adding that she usually visited him and his siblings.
He said:
“She used to come to my place; spend some weeks and visit my sister too. This is her husband’s house and we can’t say she should leave. Before the incident happened, she had been with my sister for some weeks. We took her to her church and after some prayers, we decided that she should go back home. That we don’t come here always does not mean we abandoned her. My dad died eight months ago; we did not abandon her.
“I don’t know what led to the incident but she was not traumatised. That day, my sister was marking her son’s birthday and I sent her to bring food for mum. She brought the food around 2pm. It was around 5.30pm that a resident called to inform me about the incident. She (Amirat) is not around now but she did not tell me that she gave the food to somebody else to deliver to her. What she told me was that she met her upstairs.”
A friend of the deceased, Grace Agboyin, while lamenting her death, said she was the one that used to look after her.
Agboyin, who spoke in Yoruba, said,
“We were very close. Since the trauma became serious, I always went to her shop to chat with her. I ensured that she ate and used her drugs regularly. She had grown lean since her husband died because his death really touched her. She used to visit her children.
“I was in my shop when I heard people shouting that Iya Ahmed (Adeko) had jumped into the well. I was very surprised.”

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, (RCCG), and Pastor Enoch Adeboye has appealed to his friends, children and supporters to support him in the completion of the 3.3km Arena of the church in Simawa, Ogun State.
The arena which was earlier billed to be used for the just concluded convention is yet to be completed due to lack of enough funds.
“The new arena is yet to be completed because there is no money. I believe that all the people who promised big money will show up one day.
“For the first time in my life, I almost became a beggar. I have never asked for offering online. I don’t know how to do fine barer, it is just circumstances beyond my control,” Adeboye explained.

He appealed for more support for the project stressing that God will keep multiplying the needs of his children and they will become his divine treasurer.
The general overseer was optimistic that the new arena will be available for use by December, noting that “God provides for the work”.

The programme tagged All Sufficient God attracters worshippers from 188 countries featured bible teachings, business seminar, prophetic ministration, melody hour, prayer, and ordinations of new deacons, assistant pastors, full pastors and graduation ceremony of Bible school students.
The large crowd of worshipers included the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Benue State governor, Deacon Sam Ortom and his wife, Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko, the Speaker of Ekiti House of Assembly, Pastor Kola Oluwawole and traditional rulers.

Premium Times reports that former Lagos State governor, Babatunde Fashola, approved the sum of N78.3 million (approximately $400,000) from the state’s treasury for the upgrade of his personal website.
The report further states that the news was revealed on the state public procurement office’s website, and was first exposed by noted budget analytic firm, BudgiT. The contract for the upgrade of the website was reportedly awarded in 2014.
According to Sahara Reporters, the contract was awarded to a company named Info Access Plus Limited, and ‘a Google search did not turn anything out about the company.’

According to information technology experts, www.tundefashola.com, created by the firm for the former governor, is a WordPress website and an upgrade could not have cost more than N300, 000.
Other questionable expenditures incurred by the administration include N1.2 billion vaguely spent on the “construction of pedestrian bridges along Oti-Osa Lekki-Epe Expressway”. The spending did not specify the number of bridges.
In the same year, the government also awarded contract for the provision of wall signage in three magistrate courts at the cost of N17 million.
The Fashola administration further spent N3.46 billion for the construction of a beach resort in Ilase and N61 million for a Range Rover SUV and 2 Toyota Hilux trucks as the official vehicle of the Chief Judge of the State.
The document shows that the administration also spent N85 million for the repair and replacement of street signs.
Other curious expenses contained in the document include N330 million spent for the development of the residence of Mr. Fashola’s deputy, Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, and N94 million spent on “printer consumables”.

Davido’s Sophomore Album Has once again been postponed.
Come Monday August 10, 2015 the much anticipated sophomore album from HKN boss Davido will not be released. Apparently, the release date has been postponed once again.
The much anticipated album which was earlier scheduled to be released on June 8, 2015 but was postponed till tomorrow, August 10, 2015 has once again been moved.

The reasons for the postponement has not been made known yet and a new release date has not been announced either.
Davido is currently making his way back to Nigeria after spending 3 weeks in Atlanta where the album is being mixed and mastered.

According to Jose “The recent lawsuit against Nick is slanderous and meritless. Family of Late Bobbi Kristina are already pointing accusing fingers in the death of their daughter. They all have come out to accuse Nick Gordon.
The family who have amended their $40m lawsuit against him have revealed that they are certain he murdered Bobbi as they have revealed a timeline of events which they claimed to have happened few hours before she was found unconscious in her bathtub in January.
According to TMZ, the lawyer says at 6 AM on January 31st — hours before Bobbi Kristina was found face down in the tub — Nick Gordon came home from an all-night cocaine and alcohol bender. The suit claims he reviewed camera footage and became irate.
The suit says Gordon began screaming at Bobbi Kristina, accusing her of cheating and calling her a “whore and b*tch.”. Their argument then went from room to room, and at some point the suit claims Gordon gave Bobbi Kristina a “toxic cocktail” that rendered her unconscious.
The lawyer then says Gordon dragged Bobbi Kristina to the bathroom where he placed her face down in a tub filled with cold water.
According to the docs, Gordon got in bed, put his head on a female guest’s ankle and said, “Now I want a pretty little white girl like you.”
Fifteen minutes later the suit says another person (presumably Max Lomas) discovered Bobbi Kristina in the tub.
The suit also says when Bobbi Kristina was pulled from the tub, one of her teeth was hanging loosely from her mouth, indicating she had been injured.
And this is odd … the suit says authorities found a dust pan at the bottom of the tub.

General Overseer of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission, Bishop Mike Okonkwo, has spoken on an issue he often dreads talking about.
Speaking with Vanguard in a revealing interview he talked about his marriage, his first daughter that died years ago and more. See excerpts below:
“There were several challenges, and even now there is no end to challenges. The first one as a Minister was when I lost my first child. I got married to my wife in 1980 and we had our first daughter in 1982. We went to a crusade in Abeokuta in December 1984, we came back before the Christmas and on the Christmas eve, She developed high fever and early morning of 26th she died. It was a day I was going to preach.
After praying and she did not come to life again, I left her in the room and still went to preach. I did not mention what happened to anyone. As a minister, that is one of the challenges you face.
Another experience was that my immediate younger brother who was the only support I had when I went into a ministry. We were six boys and four girls our parents had. He had passed the high level exams and was to go for Medicine.
But my parents did not want him to go as a way of punishing him for supporting my cause as a minister.
They wanted to know if that could make me change my mind. But as God would have it, he still went to the University, passed as a medical doctor, joined the Navy and still joined me in the ministry. He was one of our praise and worship leaders. So, in the late 80s, I was traveling out and I asked him to conduct an interview on my behalf. It was when armed robbery began as an issue then.
Some robbers followed him to his car, closed-in on him inside the church compound and asked him to bring the key of the 504 car. I think the military instinct in him made him to resist and started fighting them and he was shot. They took him to one hospital in Akoka, that could not manage the situation, yet did not refer him.
I was abroad, I got wind of the situation and I asked that they moved him to better hospital, but unfortunately, it was late, he died.
It was very devastating to me. But I made up my mind, challenges should not make me reject the call of God. I told myself that the best I could do is to be the best in my calling. There are also challenges of not having enough funds to do the calling of God. For me, if everything you need is already there, then you don’t need God. So, if it is God that provides everything you need, you must depend on God for your needs.”
On same se-x marriage
The church should not be shocked about this because they are the part of the end time event. Don’t also be surprised if other strange things follow. I wont be surprised if bestiality is introduced. I will only be shocked if the church gets involved in it. If nations endorse it, nations don’t go by the Bible. They play politics. Parents must talk to their children and let them know that that is not the right thing.
On his wife
I don’t think I would have been able to achieve what I have achieved if not for the wonderful wife God has given to me. One of the things that is common to those who are called is that they are not only husbands to their wives, they are husbands and fathers to a lot of people. So, if you have a wife that does not understand this fact or that is possessive, she could destroy your work.
If everyday we are always fighting at home, with the huge responsibility I have in the church, I don’t know how I would have survived. I thank God for having an understanding wife, as people often come to thank her for something I had done.
Again, she has covered a lot of my weaknesses, reaching out to people and places that I was not able to reach out to. She is certainly a huge contributor to the work God has called me.
