Controversial Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has raised eyebrows after he shared a trailer of his new movie project titled, “Peter Obi.”

Taking to his Instagram page on Thursday, February 2, the actor and movie producer revealed he has been working on the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and shared the trailer.

In the trailer, Yul Edochie who played Peter Obi altered his voice to mimic that of the presidential candidate.

However, the way Yul spoke in the movie, mimicking Obi, didn’t sit well with his supporters. Yul was heavily criticised and accused of mocking the former Anambra state governor.

Reacting, an Instagram user @obidiya.1 wrote, “Casting with Peter Obi name is ok but that voice is not his please. Edit bfr u release it. Don’t disrespect our President like u did to May. T for thanks”.

A Nigerian lady who claimed to have lived in Naira Marley’s residence for a time has claimed that the singer is not who many think he is.

She recounted her encounter with the Marlian Music boss during a sit-down interview with YouTuber, Shaddee.

According to the yet-to-be identified lady, she spent six days in the same compound as the singer, and he only left his apartment twice.

She averred that Naira Marley is not as ghetto or razz as he portrays on social media, and he actually has a calm and introverted personality.

The lady, who spoke highly of the singer who sings about sex and obscenity, opined that he probably created the persona he exhibits online to suit his style of music.

She said in part,

“I shot somewhere he stays and for the 6 days I stayed there he didn’t show up. It was just twice because he needed to leave the compound.

“Okay twice the second time was because they called his attention so his car so he peeped and said a few words and then he went back inside.

“Sometimes the image they portray is for the thing they’re doing it’s for the art they are exhibiting. you don’t expect him to sing such songs and be calm.”

A trending video of Nollywood actress turned politician Funke Akindele’s nanny covering the faces of the actress’ twin boys in public has stirred reactions.

The actress was recently at the mall with her children, her bodyguard, and their nanny when she stumbled on some TikTokers who were dancing and making a video and decided to join them.

As the mother approached the content creators, her children wanted to follow her, but their nanny quickly stooped them and covered their faces from the camera.

Recall that Funke welcomed the twin boys with her now-estranged husband, JJC Skillz, in 2018 and has since kept the children’s faces out of the public eye.

As a result, as soon as the nanny noticed they were being filmed, she quickly pulled the twins closer and covered their faces.

A viral video has captured the heartbreaking moment a man broke down in tears after he caught his girlfriend with another man in a hotel.

The man is said to have trailed his woman to the hotel, where she went to meet her other lover.

When he got to the hotel, he caught his cheating partner with the man she had gone to meet, just as they were about to take the elevator to their room.

He confronted her and appeared ready to pounce on her as he let out his anger, but he controlled himself.

The manager of the facility later interfered and told them to settle their issue outside as their noise was apparently disturbing other customers.

At the end of the video, the man who was visibly devastated is seen crying on the shoulder of another man who tried to calm him down.

Sharon Ogechi Okoroafor, the embattled Nekede Polytechnic student who went viral for attributing her graduation success to God and her private part, has alleged that the school has promised to give N500,000 to anyone who hands her over to them.

Sharon, in a new video she shared, said she’s willing to do business with anyone who will hand her over to the school authorities in exchange for the reward.

She said that the money would be divided equally between herself and the person who would hand her over.

Sharon went viral a few days ago after a video of her celebrating her graduation and claiming it was made possible with the help of God and her private parts surfaced online.

Reacting to the video, the school authority launched an investigation to fish Sharon out.

Sharon later apologised to the institution in a letter, explaining that she meant to say Popsy (her father) and God helped her graduate from the Polytechnic.

She also had a telephone conversation with Darling 107.3 FM Owerri, where she explained what she meant and maintained she was trying to say “Popsy” and not “p***y.”

Actress, Simisola Gold arrested by ICPC for selling new Naira notes

Operatives of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, has arrested an actress, Omoseyin Oluwadarasimi Esther, aka Simisola Gold, with Twitter handle @SimisolaofLala, for selling new naira notes on social media.

According to a statement signed by ICPC’s spokesperson, Azuka Ogugua, in Abuja on Wednesday night, Simisola Gold was arrested following an intelligence report which led the anti-corruption agency to find and promptly arrest her.

The suspect is currently in ICPC custody and is helping the commission with its investigation on the criminal trading of the naira, which has resulted in scarcity and negative economic outcomes.

The statement reads,

“Oluwadarasimi Emma, a social media ‘serial entrepreneur’ who deals in skincare, sales of fuel, facilitation of foreign travels through visa acquisitions, and other businesses, seized the opportunity of the scarcity of the new naira notes to openly market the new notes. It is believed she is in collusion with key elements in the financial services sector diverting the newly released notes away from banking halls and payment channels into a ‘black market.’

She is currently in ICPC detention and is helping the Commission with its findings on the criminal trading of the naira and the attendant scarcity and negative economic outcomes being caused by the action. The action is in furtherance of the collaboration between CBN, ICPC and EFCC in implementing the new cashless policy and naira redesign.”

Pastor fakes his death, circulates obituary to avoid N3million debt

Pastor Paul Oyewole, an Ondo-based pastor, has been charged with faking his own death in order to escape repaying N3 million borrowed from a member of his congregation.

Oyewole was said to have falsely published and posted his obituary on a social media platform after he sent a fake bank alert to his creditor, Boyede Emmanuel.

He was charged with acquiring money falsely while promising to repay it within seven days.

He was also accused of falsely publishing and posting his obituary on WhatsApp after sending a bogus notice to an account, although knowing full well that he did not have such a sum in his bank account.

Oyewole was accused of threatening the complainant over the phone with the purpose to intimidate him and acting in a way that was likely to provoke a breach of the peace by stripping nude in front of the complainant’s residence.

Oyewole, on the other hand, pled not guilty to the accusations brought against him.

A German woman has been accused of seeking out her lookalike on Instagram and murdering her in an elaborate attempt to fake her own death.

In the bizarre case that has been dubbed ‘the doppelganger murder’, the 23-year-old suspect, Sharaban K., residing in Munich, had connived with her boyfriend, Sheqir K., to perpetrate the heinous crime.

Sharaban had set up a fake Instagram account and contacted multiple women who resembled her. After checking multiple profiles, she found a beauty blogger, 23-year-old Khadidja O, from Algeria, who lived about 100 miles away.

Both women share similar features – long dark hair and similar complexion.

According to investigators, the suspect and her lover contacted Khadidja and offered her a set of beauty products, after which they went to pick her up.

On their way back, they stopped in a forest, lured the victim out of the car and stabbed her more than 50 times. The couple then left the corpse in the back seat of Sharaban’s Mercedes and fled.

When Sharaban failed to return home, her parents launched seach for her in Ingolstadt and found her car near the Danube.

On the back seat of the car, the corpse of a dark-haired woman brutally murdered with her face mutilated beyond recognition was found, and they believed it was their daughter.

However, an autopsy and DNA tests revealed that the corpse was actually Khadidja’s. The culprits were then arrested.

Veronika Grieser, an Ingolstadt prosecutor, who confirmed the incident to Bild newspaper said,

“It has been confirmed that the accused had contacted several women via Instagram before the act who seemed to look similar to her.

“It can be assumed that the suspect wanted to go into hiding, due to internal disputes with her family, and fake her own death.”

Veteran Nollywood actress, Empress Njamah has finally recovered her Instagram account from her estranged fiancé, George Wade.

The actress, who was recently embroiled in a messy dispute with her ex, took to Instagram to announce her return and recount her ordeal.

Recall that in December, Empress disclosed that she was being blackmailed by George, whom she described as a scammer disguised as a lover.

She accused him of taking over her social media account, taking control of her home, physically abusing her, and making intimate videos of her which he used to blackmail her.

Following the call out, nude videos of the actress surfaced on the internet but George claimed he didn’t leak them.

Fortunately, Empress has finally regained control of her Instagram account and issued an official statement detailing her ordeal on Wednesday, February 1.

She apologized to her friends and family who were duped into sending money to George while thinking she was the one chatting with them.

Whitemoney, who spoke in a video shared on his Instastory, stated that there has been scarcity of cash – both old and new currency – in banks in recent times, yet new notes are surplus at events.

According to him, it was even more appalling that money changers sold N700,000 in new currency for N1 million, thus making a whooping N300,000 as profit on each deal.

He further questioned how the money changers got the money when it is not readily available at banks.

Foremost digital services company, Globacom, on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 presented another set of prizes to winners in the commercial city of Onitsha, Anambra State in the on-going Festival of Joy promo.

The venue of the presentation ceremony, Conoil Gloworld, Onitsha Bridgehead was filled to the brim with family members and friends of the winners who came to celebrate with them.

At the event, 30 year old Construction Technician, Chukwuemeka Chikezie received the keys to a brand new car while other winners went home with different home appliances, including Power Generating sets, Sewing Machines and Rechargeable Fans.

The car winner, Chikezie who is impaired in his left arm from a job related accident, stated that, “If anyone had told me yesterday that I would be a car owner today, I would never have believed”, adding that “I love the Glo network very well and I have always depended on it for my calls and data needs”
Chikezie who was full of praise to Glo for transforming his life through the car prize said he received Glo call on Tuesday while working on a project in Enugu, far away from his Onitsha base. He said he found it difficult that he could become an instant car winner just like that.

He explained that he travails that led to his being unable to use his left hand was enough to make anyone lose hope, but he never gave up.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Emeka Orji, the transition Chairman, Onitsha South Local Govt Area, Anambra State, Hon. Emeka Orji, who commended Globacom for putting the promo in place, expressed his joy and happiness that the event was held his territory.

Also the representative of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), Mr Ezelue Nnamdi, stated that the promo has been very transparent all through.
The event was by attended by Hon. (Mrs) Beverly Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche, representing Onitsha South 2 Constituency, Anambra State House of Assembly as well as nollywood duo of Ebube Nwagbo and Stephen Odimgbe (Flashboy).

Popular Nollywood actress, Beverly Naya has disclosed how she was bullied as a child for not fitting the beauty standards.

The thespian shared this in an interview with media personality, Chude Jidenowo and revealed that bullying greatly affected her as a schoolgirl.

According to her, she was not beautiful as a child because of some skin conditions and also crooked teeth which caused her peers to mock her.

Naya explained that she got trolled for being an ugly duckling when she was younger and also for being beautiful which really affected her head.

In her words;

“In my formative years, I was always getting bullied for one thing or the other.
No no matter what school I was in, I always felt like there was always going to be something that I was going to get attacked for.
So, when I was younger, I was an ugly duckling. I wasn’t cute. I don’t care what my mom says.
I was not a cute kid. I had crooked teeth and eczema. I just didn’t look good as far as I was concerned. And as far as people around me were concerned.
I used to get called ‘snakeskin, buck teeth, light bulb head, football legs’. Just different kinds of stuff and then I just blossomed. My skin cleared, I got braces, and I just kind of blossomed.
And I started to kind of feel beautiful for the first time in my life around 16. I think I probably was owning it a bit too much for some people in my school. I got bullied for that and it really broke me.
I was like ‘look, I can’t win’. When I was younger, I was getting bullied for being ugly and unattractive.
And now I finally feel like I’m beautiful and I’m trying to own it, that’s now the problem. I’m now getting bullied for that. So, I got ganged up on and ended up with a black eye, and a chipped tooth, on the same day.”

Nigerian dancer Korra Obidi’s ex-husband, American doctor Justin Dean, has threatened to sue her over her newly released tell-all book.

Korra, who recently finalized her divorce from her husband, Justin, released a tell-all book where she detailed what she allegedly went through in their marriage.

The memoir, which went live barely 24 hours ago and is already a top seller on Amazon, tells Korra’s side of the issues surrounding their divorce.

Announcing the launch via her Instagram page on Tuesday, January 31, Korra wrote, “New Book, #KORRAISLIVE. Now an Amazon Best seller💃🏽 My Own Side of the Story. Korra Obidi from Lagos to China, to the USA and to divorce. There are 2 sides to every gist. korraislive”

“She is not a student of our school” – Imo polytechnic SUG disowns viral lady who attributed graduation to her private part

The Student Union Government (SUG) of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Imo State, has said that Sharon Ogechi Okoroafor, the lady who attributed her graduation success to the help of God and her private parts, was not a student of the school.

Sharon went viral a few days ago after a video of her celebrating her graduation and claiming it was made possible with the help of God and her private parts surfaced online.

Reacting to the video, the school authority launched an investigation to fish Sharon out.

Sharon later apologised to the institution in a letter, explaining that she meant to say Popsy (her father) and God helped her graduate from the Polytechnic.

In a quite shocking development, the SUG, in a statement released on Tuesday, said Sharon was not a student of the school.

According to the statement signed by the SUG president, Ahaneku Valentine, Sharon did not have a matriculation number with the school nor a project supervisor.

“We have noted with grave concern a viral video of a lady claiming to be a student of Federal Polytechnic Nekede, our great institution and noble alma mater. We have conducted a background check on the said student who goes by the name, Sharon Ogechi Okoroafor from Ngor-Okpala LGA of Imo State. We wish to state, thus, that the Student Union Government views this video as sacrilegious and condemnable.

Also, the said Sharon is not a bonafide student of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede because she has no Registration (Matriculation) Number. She also has no project or research supervisor to show she has graduated. Indeed, the purported student never joined others to do the defense which brought them to school because she had no work to defend. In fact, reports have it that she only came to take valedictory photos with her so-called coursemates.

Anyone can gatecrash in lectures but only a student who has been duly registered and screened by the institution is a genuine student ?Our institution is a reputable brand across the nation, having been rated best-performing polytechnic, and our Rector as best Rector five times.

It is the same institution that has produced great minds and leaders. We can therefore not allow the name of our great institution to be taken to the mud by the accusations of a base character. We, therefore, urge Miss Sharon Okoroafor to stop forthwith in her fraudulent claims that she is a student of Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri. Already she has caused great damage to the sensibilities of noble students of the polytechnic and those of the entire Nigerian students nationwide. We leave her in the hands of posterity to judge?” The statement read.

A Nigerian entrepreneur, Edmund Olotu, has revealed his intention to take legal action against a man who stole from him nine years ago.

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, February 1, Edmund disclosed that the man stole N3.5 million from him in 2016 and failed to reimburse him.

He said the man has now relocated to the United States and even works with Bank of America, but has refused to refund his money.

According to him, he has sent countless messages to the man to demand for his money but it has all fallen on deaf ears.

Following the man’s reluctance to refund his money after almost a decade, Edmund said he has decided to have his legal representatives write to the man’s employer, Bank of America, and possibly sabotage his career.

He tweeted,

“Someone who stole 3.5M from me in 2014, has japa’d and now works for Bank of America. Every year since then I send him a reminder via text to return my money.

This year I’ll let him taste this Bank of America salary for a few more months before I have my lawyers write to them.”

“Everything is gone” – Lady devastated after returning from the market to meet her apartment burnt to the ground (Video)

A Nigerian lady has been left devastated after returning from the market to discover that her apartment had been razed down by fire.

In a video that has stirred emotions from social media users, the lady showed what was left of the building.

According to her, everything she had, including clothes, furniture, and a television, was completely destroyed by the fire.

She said she just left for the market that morning, only to return to discover that the house had gone up in flames while she was away.

She said that to make matters worse, no one called her to inform her of the tragic incident.

The auction notice was published in the local dailies on Monday, January 30, 2023. According to Nyaluoyo Auctioneers, they were instructed by the landlord of one Zachariah Sichenje Masika to auction four men’s underwear and four women’s underwear belonging to the tenant to recover the rent he’s being owed.

The public auction will take place at the firm’s yard in Kisumu. The terms of sale are cash at the fall of the hammer.

Recall that Bobrisky was recently called out for lying that a fan gifted him N1 million just for being beautiful.

The male barbie had posted a screenshot of the credit alert, which he was claimed was from the admirer, and wrote,

A 15-year-old boy who hid in a shipping container during a hide-and-seek game was found a week later in another country.

According to India Times, the Bangladeshi teen, identified only by his first name, Fahim, was playing with friends in the port city of Chittagong on January 11 when he hid inside the container and fell asleep.

The container was then loaded onto a commercial ship bound for Malaysia, where the boy was discovered six days later on January 17 in West Port.

He had slept off in the container only to wake up 2,000 miles away in Malaysia. It turned out that he was mistakenly locked up in the Integra container ship and sailed across the Indian Ocean.

After he was found, officials reported that he had developed a fever and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Following an investigation, officials discovered that the teen had wandered into the container while playing hide-and-seek. Although they initially suspected that he was involved in a human trafficking scheme.

The 20-year-old from Idaho got married to her husband, John Francis, at the age of 19, and they had no plans to have a child yet.

However, they were surprised to discover they were expecting just one year into their marriage despite the birth control measure. The lovebirds welcomed their son, Rudy, at the end of January 2023.
