World-renowned megastar singer, Rihanna has for the first time shared photos and a video of her son seven months after his birth.

The Barbadian singer, who welcomed her first child with her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky, on May 13, took to TikTok to share a video of her son as her first-ever post on the social media platform, and it has garnered millions of views and likes since it was posted on Saturday, December 17.

In the 45-second clip captioned “Hacked”, Rihanna’s son is seen smiling and giggling as he attempts to grab his mom’s phone and his mom was heard saying, “You’re trying to get mommy’s phone?”.

The 34-year-old billionaire singer and businesswoman has, however, not shared any other details about her son, including his name.

Netizens have trooped to different social media platforms to share their thoughts on his looks, with many calling him cute.

Tems co-wrote Rihanna’s new song “Lift Me Up”, a soundtrack for the movie, ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.’ The track is Rihanna’s comeback single after a six-year break from the music industry.

Taking to her Instagram page to officially announce her contribution to the song, Tems shared the cover design and said she is blessed to have written the song in honour of late singer, Chadwick Boseman.

The 27-year-old sensational singer wrote,

Popular Lagos businessman, Ikechukwu Ogbonna, better known as IVD, has taken to social media to remember his late wife, Bimbo.

Recall that IVD’s wife, Bimbo, died under controversial circumstances in October 2022. The mother of five died from severe burn injuries she sustained after being incinerated during a fight with her husband in their home.

Taking to his Instagram stories on Sunday evening, December 18, he shared a throwback video of himself and his late wife and said he misses her.

tWitch, a former DJ for the Ellen DeGeneres Show and a contestant on “So You Think You Can Dance,” passed away on Wednesday, December 14, at the age of 40.

Speaking in a video shared via his Instagram page on Thursday, December 15, Tyler Perry expressed shock at the sudden demise of tWitch.

“The World Lost a Bright Light. I’ve only met him a couple of times,” Perry said. “He was always full of life, it seemed like, such a light.”

He added that owing to tWitch’s death, he feels compelled to share a message to those who are going through a hard time.

Reflecting on “dark” times he has experienced in his own life, Perry said, “I just want to take you back to a time in my life when I tried to commit suicide, a couple of times, because it was so dark I didn’t think it would get any better. I had endured so much pain, so much abuse, sexual abuse, it was all so hard to just move through that I thought the only way to make this better was to end my life.”

He further urged those going through a difficult time to talk to someone and seek help.

“I know it may seem like there’s no hope, but please reach out to someone … call, ask for help if you are dealing with anything that is emotionally taking you to a place where you think you want to end your life.”

Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, performed at the closing ceremony of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar on Sunday, December 18.

It was Davido’s first public performance since the tragic demise of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, who died in a drowning incident on October 31, 2022.

The superstar singer was supposed to perform at the opening ceremony a few weeks ago but couldn’t honor the invitation because of the death of his son.

In a historic moment at the closing ceremony, Davido joined the duo of Aisha and Trinidad Cardona to perform ‘Better Together’ (Hayya Hayya), which is the first track off the 2022 World Cup official soundtrack.

They performed the song before the kick-off of the final match between Argentina and France, which saw the former clinch victory and emerge the world cup champion.

Controversial Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has received knocks from his colleagues and fans over his comment on his first wife, May’s reaction to his second marriage.

In a lengthy Instagram post on Sunday, the father of five declared himself a proud polygamist and justified his decision to marry a second wife after 17 years of marriage to his first wife, May.

Recall that Yul Edochie unveiled actress Judy Austin as his second wife in April 2022.

Yul claimed in his write-up that he was directed by God to be a polygamist in order to give his son a proper identity, and he backed up his claim with a bible verse, Exodus 21:10.

Speaking on May’s reaction to his marriage to Judy, Yul noted that she was not happy about it, but it turned out to be a blessing for her.

“Therefore polygamy came with many blessings. Blessings for me, blessings for my wife Queen May to calm her down cos as a human being she’ll definitely not be happy about it, and blessings for my wife Judy as well.” He wrote in part.

Popular Nigerian Singer, Asake has announced the death of one of the four people in critical condition from the stampede that occurred at his London concert.

The show at the O2 Brixton Academy on Thursday was canceled after some fans created a stampede trying to force their way into the venue without a ticket

Asake shared an update via his Instagram page, that a lady identified as Rebecca Ikumelo, lost her life after hours on a medical watch.

In a lengthy statement, Asake wrote;

“I am devastated by the news that Rebecca Ikumelo who was in a critical condition since Thursday has sadly passed away. My sincerest condolences to her loved ones at this time. A woman has been accused of maltreating her 9-year-old ward.

The woman is said to routinely lock up her ward, identified as Chima, outside her home for hours without food.

A video posted online by human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, showed the boy sitting outside a gated compound at night, waiting for his aunt to return from work.

When Gwamnishu approached him, Chima revealed that he was usually left there regularly while his aunt went to work. He added that he often goes all day without food or water until she returns.

He, however, seemed afraid and reluctant to say anything that would implicate his aunt, so he kept saying, “She will still come back,” when asked questions about his aunt’s actions towards him.

Harrison alleged that the woman takes her own children with her and feeds them but leaves 9-year-old Chima, whom she brought from the village, outside without food and water.

A woman has been locking 9-year-old Chima without food and water from morning till night. Tonight I visited Chima to see for myself and it’s shocking to see that a woman who has her children can maltreat another woman’s child. OAP Do2dtun’s wife files for divorce over alleged domestic abuse and forced abort!on

Omotayo, the wife of popular on-air personality, Kayode Ojuolape Oladotun, otherwise known as Do2dtun, has filed for divorce from him.

Omotayo requested the dissolution of her marriage with Do2dtun sometime in November 2021, citing allegations of forced abortion, domestic violence, and emotional abuse by him, all of which have had adverse effects on her health and general well-being.

According to the petition filed before Justice A. I. Akobi of Court 23 of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Suit Number: GWD/PET/25/2021, the on-air personality forced his wife to abort her third pregnancy as a married woman.

The court, however, granted the couple, who married in 2013 and the union produced two children, joint custody of the children, which Omotayo did not oppose pending the final determination of the suit in court.

Dailypost reports that Do2dtun, on December 14, 2022, allegedly stormed Omotayo’s Abuja residence with some policemen and forcefully broke into her premises and assaulted her gateman and staff after she refused to disclose her actual whereabouts and hurled insults at her person.

This led to Omotayo’s petitioning the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Force Criminal Investigation Department, Abuja over an unlawful entry, malicious damage, criminal trespass and unlawful use of Policemen by Do2dtun.

The petition dated December 14, 2022, and stamped to show receipt by the office of the DIG, said the invasion left Omotayo in a “state of emotional distress and fear of imminent danger in the hands of the Defendant (Do2dtun), who remains volatile and unpredictable”.

“In view of the facts stated in this petition, we humbly request that you use your good office to conduct a dispassionate investigation into our client’s petition and cause an appropriate action in line with the law to be taken against the Defendant in order to guarantee the safety of our client and for the interest of justice.

“In addition to the above, we request that the identity of the Nigeria Police Officers who engaged in the unlawful act at the bidding of the Defendant be made known to the public and necessary action be taken against them so as to preserve the integrity of the Nigeria Police that has been painstakingly built over the years,” the petition read in part.

Veteran Nollywood actress, Empress Njamah, has cried out online about being blackmailed by a “scammer” who came into her life disguised as a lover.

A few days ago, news made the rounds online that the 42-year-old actress was engaged after a video of her showing off an engagement ring was shared on her verified Instagram page with the caption, “Finally off the market.”

Congratulatory messages poured in for the actress from fans, colleagues, and well-wishers; however, it was later revealed that her account was hacked and the video was put up by the hacker to mislead the public.

Finally breaking her silence on the alleged engagement and what had been going on in her life in the past months following the death of her best friend, Ada Ameh, Njamah debunked claims that she’s engaged and explained that the engagement video was made under duress.

She narrated how the supposed fiancé came into her life when she was vulnerable and claimed to love her, which she fell for, but unknown to her, he had an ulterior motive.

She said shortly after they started dating, he moved into her house in Abuja, and that was when trouble started.

She claimed he gained access to her accounts, gained control of her house, beat her up, and made intimate videos of her that he has been using to blackmail her.

Narrating her heartbreaking ordeal in the hands of the man, she wrote,

“I would like to bring to the notice of the general public that my account @empressnjamah has been hacked and is susceptible to scam, please refrain from contacting or dealing with this IG account as i have no access to it at this moment. The previous posts about being engaged is FALSE! Kindly disregard, the post was made by the unscrupulous element from Liberia whose aim is to taint my image 😔. In the guise of being My fiancé.

“That video was made under Duress. The scammer gained access to the IG account as well as my phone, contacts,Email, Bank account and has my car, international passport and other valuables. I’m being blackmailed, to pay $450,000 🤦🏼‍♀️ Claiming he loaned me the money… Please beware of such dubious individuals who present themselves as genuine with good intent but underneath are “The Devil” whose aim is solely to ruin, dupe and inflict harm on anyone they come in contact with.

He also referenced that he is involved with a couple of celebrities, either for business dealings or personal relationships. However, I have made some investigations to confirm this claim as well as background checks on the information he provided prior dealings, and all were false. Please be conscious about who you deal with, either for business purposes or for relationships. Some People are out to dupe you. Sadly, I am a victim.

I have contacted the Appropriate security Agencies to assist in tracking and identifying this person as well as provided information where necessary to assist in apprehending him because my life is at risk.

Nollywood actress, Empress Njamah’s estranged fiancé, Josh Wade, has reacted after she called him out online, accusing him of blackmailing her.

The actress had taken to social media on Friday night to cry out online about being abused and blackmailed by Josh Wade.

She claimed Wade is a scammer who deceives wealthy women and enters into relationships with them in order to dupe them.

She alleged that he hacked her Instagram and WhatsApp accounts, logged out of her email, and has been blackmailing her with bedroom tapes of her that he made without her knowledge.

She said he got her a ring, made her do a video announcing a fake engagement, and shared the video on her Instagram page.

Man confronts dispatch rider who allegedly ate part of the food he ordered online in Lagos (Video)

A mild drama ensued recently between a man who ordered food online and a dispatch rider in the Lekki area of Lagos State.

The man had ordered food online and had it delivered to his location, but when the dispatcher arrived with it, he noticed someone had eaten out of his food.

The customer, who claimed to have received a notification from the food company that the food had reached its destination about an hour before the rider called, accused him of diverting somewhere to eat the food before deciding to deliver what was left in the plate.

The delivery man acknowledged opening the food when confronted, but he insisted he didn’t eat anything from it.

He denied eating any portion of the food and insisted that all he did was open the plate to check the content.

However, towards the end of the video, he admitted to having tasted the food and said he would refund the customer.

Popular Nigerian skit maker and actor, Samuel Perry better known as Broda Shaggi, has berated Nigerians for making excuses for a dispatch rider who allegedly ate part of the food he was supposed to deliver.

The dispatch rider reportedly ate out of the customer’s food because he was hungry and got into an argument with him.

Netizens tried to justify the rider’s actions and sympathize with him, but Broda Shaggi did not have it.

According to Shaggi, there was no justification for the guy being so unprofessional at his job and it was wrong for people to try and make excuses for him.

In his words;

“Why people dey do like this na.
Seeing comments like “No vex na hunger” I don’t know why we support bad attitudes and give excuses for them. There’s no justification for this act at all cos he no suppose try am at all. You work as a dispatcher and you’re paid for your job, so why eat a customer’s food? This is just so wrong Abeg”

Olori Tobi Phillips, the third wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has revealed why she agreed to be one of the monarch’s queens.

Speaking in a recent interview with TVC, Olori Tobi, a former beauty queen, shared the series of events that preceded her marriage to the monarch, including how they met.

She said someone had called her to ask if she was interested in getting married to the Ooni of Ife.

She said she met the king and they started dating, and since he had all the things she wanted in a spouse, she agreed to marry him and be his third wife.

“Series of events happened and I think that year I was just praying God I wanted to get married and somebody just called me one day and said “Do you want to get married?” and I was like what’s happening”” And then he went further asking “Would you like to get married to Ooni of Ife?”.

“He introduced me to the King but I didn’t take this seriously as I was still wandering what’s going on. We started dating but along the line, there were so many interference and we didn’t get married. That was quite devastating.

I always promised myself that I will marry someone that I love. There are values that I love in a man and the Ooni has that’s why I later agreed to marry him. If you find that person that fits specific criteria that are not negotiable for you, then you go with it. Ordinarily, I never imagined that I would find myself in a polygamous setting, but I always had some non-negotiable,” she said.

It was quite an emotional moment for Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing as she visited her late mother’s gravesite with flowers.

The actress, who posted photos of herself laying flowers at her mother’s grave on Instagram, explained that she drove from Ibadan to Lagos to visit her mother’s grave to tell her about the recent happenings in her life.

Nkechi stated that she told her mother about her recent accomplishments, social media trolls, and, in fact, everything that has happened since her passing.

She added that she told her about how well her son, Elijah, is doing in his academics and noted that she could hear her mother’s voice telling her to stay strong and courageous.

A 32-year-old woman has taken to social media to happily announce that she’s going to be a grandmother.

The British mother of one, identified as Shannon, revealed via her TikTok page earlier this month that her 16-year-old daughter, Molly, is pregnant and set to welcome a baby boy in early 2023.

Shannon, in a now-trending video that has caused a massive stir on Twitter, is seen joyfully dancing around with her pregnant teenage daughter.

Sharing the video that showed Molly with a visible baby bump, Shannon revealed she also had her when she was 16.

“You’re a mom to a 16-year-old and now she’s carrying your first grandchild. She’s my double. 10 weeks to go!! I got her fully! I had her at 16 with no support & I swear on my life I’ll never ever let them down! I got you fully.” The proud grandmother-to-be wrote.

The 32-year-old claimed in a subsequent video that she is frequently told that she is too young to become a grandmother, but that she is prepared for the new responsibility.

“Everyone says that to me — ‘you’re too young to be a nan!”, she said.

She further revealed that she’s financially supporting her daughter as she prepares for the arrival of her baby.

Her words,

“She [Molly] is still my baby, as much as she is having a baby herself now. [I have] bought her everything for the baby, because she hasn’t had her own income or anything like that, so we have all provided. That’s all I can do, is just to support and be there for her, which I have.”

Grammy award winning gospel rapper, Lecrae, has christened himself a combination of Yoruba and Igbo names after discovering that his ancestors came from Nigeria.

The ‘Jireh’ singer took to his Instagram page on Friday, December 16, to announce his new Nigerian names after visiting Nigeria for a gospel concert.

According to him, he conducted a DNA test and found out that his ancestors were brought to the United States from Nigeria. He added that he experienced love and kindness like no other while in Nigeria.

Posting photos of himself in a Nigerian traditional outfit, Lecrae wrote,

“First time in Nigeria. My DNA test confirms this is one of the countries my ancestors were brought from. I have experienced love like none other. Care, kindness, grace, and love.

I came here as LECRAE.
But my Nigerian name is
Adewale Obinna.”

A while back, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, revealed that she is 43% Nigerian.
The former American actress made this known in the latest episode of her podcast, Archetypes, where she opened up about her genetic heritage and expressed a desire to know more about her roots.

Speaking with Senegalese-American actress and comedian Issa Rae, Nigerian-American comedian and writer Ziwe Fumudoh, and professor Emily Bernards, Meghnan said she took a genealogy test which revealed that she is 43% Nigerian.

“I just had my genealogy done a couple years ago. I’m 43% Nigerian, “she said.

Reacting to the revelation, Ziwe replied, “No way!”

A shocked Ziwe further asked, “Are you serious? This is huge. Igbo, Yoruba, do we know? “

“I’m going to start to dig deeper into all of this because anyone that I’ve told, especially Nigerian women, is just like, what?” Markel responded.

Vice-President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo has taken to social media to celebrate President Muhammadu Buhari on his birthday.

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria turned 80 today, December 17.

VP Osibajo took to his official Instagram page to pen a note from himself and his wife to wish the President peace and good health.

He wrote;

“Happy 80th Birthday, Mr. President @muhammadubuhari
Your extraordinary life of unblemished service to the nation in the army, as a Governor, Minister, Military Head of State and as a two-term Civilian President demonstrates that it is possible to serve the nation and our people honestly, forthrightly and selflessly.

In other news, Queen Tobi Phillips, the third wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has stated that domestic violence is her deal-breaker in a relationship.

Speaking in a recent interview on TVC, the former World Miss University Africa (WMUA) maintained that she would not tolerate any form of abuse and would leave a marriage if her husband ever raised his hand at her.

She reiterated, however, that the Ooni is not someone who would abuse a woman since he is calm, mature, and understands the importance of communication in marriage.

Her words,

“My deal breaker is don’t ever lay your hands on me. If that happens it’s over. And he (Ooni of Ife) is not that kind of person. If you have a relationship where you can communicate and share your likes and dislikes and you respect each other. With that, you guys will not get to the point where you are clashing. Big brother Naija winner, Phyna has lampooned Roosevelt, the brother of her colleague, Daniella, for claiming she had a toxic fanbase.

Nigerian singer, Raoul John Njeg-Njeng, popularly known as Skales, has buried his mother.

The singer’s mum was finally buried on Friday, December 16, and Skales shared photos from the ceremony on his official Instagram page.

Skales was seen with family members who had also come out to say their final goodbyes to their loved one.

He wrote;

Nigerian singer, Teni, has advised ladies to take extra caution to stay safe during this festive period.

The singer took to her Twitter account to warn ladies to always move with friends and carry tasers to protect themselves from attacks.

According to her, it was sad that women had to live with many restrictions but it was better to be safe than sorry.

She tweeted;

“Ladies, hold your tasers this December, move in packs, it’s sad and I’m sorry this is the reality of most women in this part of the world. If a Niggaaa move mad, let you be the last one he tries it with. Y’all be safe.”

Popular Nollywood actor, Kunle Remi, has taken to his social media page to reveal that he almost committed suicide back in 2017.

The actor shared his past struggles while reacting to news of the death of American dancer and DJ, Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, who committed suicide on Wednesday, December 14.

Kunle, in a video shared on his Instagram page, said he came very close to ending it all in 2017 due to depression.

According to the 34-year-old actor, he was overwhelmed with thoughts about his life, career, and relationship, and felt like he was useless and valueless.

He said it took the grace of God for him not to take his own life, and encouraged other people who are depressed to speak up, instead of bottling up their emotions.

In his words:

“Yesterday the news broke of DJ Twitch’s passing by suicide and it was a very sad news but I can absolutely relate to that.

“It’s never really fine as we say even though we always act like it’s fine. We go through a lot as men.

“I remember in 2017 I had a series of tweet that I went on to delete. It was very suicidal. Someone called me a year later and said I should go delete those tweets, I was going through a lot.

“I was overwhelmed, I was thinking too much of my career, am I doing enough? am I enough? am I with the right person? so many thoughts in my mind.

“At a point I could not take it, I felt so useless, not enough, incompetent, even though it was the contrary of what I felt, I was beating myself too much, then I started to tweet randomly and I was very close to jumping off the bridge or just taking my life. It took the grace of God for me to scale through that.

“I usually bottle up, I don’t share stuff but I learnt to become better doing that. And I just want to share a word with every man out there.

“Look it’s not easy and it’s not going to be easy, but talk to someone. Always have someone in your corner that you can talk too and open up with.

“Life is beautiful but it doesn’t guarantee that it will be smooth all the time but we need to always find a balance and choose happiness over being sad. I’ve been there, I’ve gone through it.

“Right now I still caution myself, I take life one day at a time, once I get overwhelmed I shut down. Depression, mental health are very important. We can do better. Just thought to share.”
