Self-styled relationship expert, Blessing Okoro has taken to social media to flaunt her new home as she reveals items she bought in the house but doesn’t need.

In a video shared on her page, Blessing gave a mini house-tour and said she installed some things she knows she doesn’t need because she doesn’t want to appear poor.

Firstly, she revealed that she has a balcony even though she knows she doesn’t need it and can count how many times she has sat down on the balcony.

She also disclosed that she bought a dining table set in her home but rarely uses it because she usually eats in her bedroom or on the floor.

She further showed off a luxury Italian sofa set in her living room and said she prefers a simple furniture design but bought the luxury set to live up to her reputation.

Speaking further, Blessing disclosed that she also installed a two-seater jacuzzi in her home eventhough she doesn’t know how to turn it on or use it. According to her, she has never used it since she moved into her home.

She further added that she has two ante-parlour which she clearly doesn’t need but did anyway. Lastly, the social media personality said she bought a smoke extractor in her kitchen.

Nigerian superstar singer Davido turned 30 on Monday, November 21, and fans, colleagues, and important personalities took to social media to celebrate him.

Mavins signee Rema, via his verified Twitter page, celebrated the singer’s post in a terse post. He shared a photo of Davido and simply captioned it, “Love you, OG @davido.”

A Nigerian man identified as Gbenga Wemimo has taken to Twitter to share the terrible experience he had with Nigerians abroad.

According to him, some Nigerians attempted to scam him, another attempted to have a sexual encounter with him, and the final verbally assaulted him while he was in the UK and Dubai.

In his words;

“I went to Dubai earlier this year, I left Nigeria with only my backpack My intention was to buy travel bags in Dubai and shop for the few things I would need over there I got to the mall, the shop where they sell travel bags was manned by Nigerians Two Yoruba speaking guys, I pretended as if I didn’t understand what they were saying and stuck to English I picked the bags I wanted, it was time to pay, They said there is a tax that I’d have to pay on the bags By their calculation I should pay 100 Diram extra.
I spoke to them in Yoruba at that point I said “Why are you guys being dishonest?” The other shop where I bought Jalabias and Abayas, the guys kept everything I bought for me and told me I should return with the bags to pick them up They told me I will collect the tax deductions back at the airport and made my shopping seamless And here you are trying to cheat me Is it because this is not your business so you don’t care if you made sales or not?”
They turned it to street slang immediately “Chairman, na the hustle etc” It was terrible I bought the bags at the right price When I left the shop I walked towards another section of the mall and saw another Nigerian She was selling skin care, nail care whatever She latched on to me from afar “Please come buy something for madam, let me help you with your nails etc I realized she is a Nigerian I told her I am not interested In her products.
She then said “Are you in Dubai alone? I can come and see you at your hotel when I close from work and/or take you around for a fee” I was shocked You have a job, why would you throw yourself at a man just like that Guess what she said “It’s the hustle, my rent is 300 Diram a month and I have to pay other bills I have to save I used to work in a bank in Nigeria before coming here, I regret leaving because the cost of living here is so high and what I make is never enough In Nigeria, I was able to save and take care of my needs of my salary I am here now and I cannot go home empty handed”
I sensed the sincerity in her voice and ended up buying a lot of Petra skin care products just to support her On my way back to Nigeria, I got to the airport Right from the moment I dropped from the cab, Nigerians were all over me Have you filled your Permission to travel form? You cannot fly without it You need your Covid card to fill it If you don’t have Covid card you can pay us so and so amount and we will help you get it done I had all my documents, so I ignored them.
The next thing was “sir you don’t have much luggage. Can you help us carry some luggage back to Nigeria? You don’t need to clear them when you get home, just help us by claiming the bags are yours from here and the bags will be tagged to you Someone will clear them in Nigeria We have only Jalabias and Abayas in the bag Nothing incriminating You have a right to carry 23Kg of luggage and it will just waste if you don’t use it Please help us, help our hustle” I saw them pitching the same line to many other Nigerians As for me, I like to travel light.
I shook my head and checked in A few months later, I was coming back from the UK When I got to Heathrow, I was told I had to fill this permission to travel form again I usually would have filled it from the hotel but it escaped my mind I stepped aside from the queue to fill the form When I was done, I returned to the queue to check in A Yoruba lady shouted “Go and join the queue, why are you jumping the queue?” I ignored her.
She was with her mother and younger brother. They were behind me on the queue and wouldn’t have caught up with me if not for the form I was filling She raised her voice and started screaming,the airport security stepped in and told her to shut up She kept pointing at me, as if I gave her belle and refused to collect it I kept ignoring She didn’t let it go She began to speak that fake British accent I ignored still Then she switched to Yoruba and I started laughing She sabi abuse for Yoruba well well I was raised in Ibadan too but those days had no place in me any longer Guess what?
She was not traveling She only came to see her mother off Guess who ended up helping her non literate mother all the way from the UK to Qatar and then to Nigeria? It was I When we got to Nigeria, her mother blessed me She said “You showed me today by your conduct that you were well brought up. Thank you so much for helping me. God bless you”

Covenant University student raise alarm over incidents of sexual abuse by lecturers.

A yet-to-be identified Covenant University student has taken to social media to express her outrage over what she claimed were numerous instances of sexual misconduct by school lecturers.

The student said in a viral chat that administrators purposefully imposed slack rules, forcing them to engage in sexual activity or risk expulsion. They further claimed that a lady is currently in a coma as a result of an abortion performed by a school employee.

They called out to the school authority to do something about the situation to avoid destroying their reputation since that was all the university cared about.

A young man left his girlfriend embarrassed when he publicly proposed to her without realizing he had no ring with him.

He went on his knees to ask for his girlfriend’s hand in marriage in a restaurant while the crowd applauded, but he was unable to locate the engagement ring.

The lady gently picked up her luggage and started to leave after the boyfriend unsuccessfully searched through all of his clothing.

Woman detained and starved by husband for a year dies after being rescued

Sadiya, a middle-aged housewife who was recently rescued after she was allegedly detained and starved for a year by her husband in Nguru, Yobe State, has reportedly died.

Sadiya, a mother of four, was rescued by her mother Hadiza after she suspected something was not right whenever she tried to speak to her daughter on the phone.

Hadiza then went from Kano, where she lives, to Yobe State and discovered that her daughter had been locked up by her husband, Ibrahim Yunusa Bature, for a year and was allegedly given only kunu, a local drink, to survive on.

The husband claimed he locked her up and refused to give her food because he feared his family members were trying to harm her and would succeed if she ate.

Sadiya, who could barely walk when she was found, was rushed to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano, where she was receiving treatment until she died on Saturday, November 19.

Yobe State Police Command, while acting on the warrant issued by Nguru Senior Magistrate Court, confirmed the arrest of Sadiya’s husband over the alleged detention and starvation of his wife.

“The motive of this act is not known, but police have arrested Mr. Ibrahim Yunusa and handed him over to the magistrate court,” DSP Dungus said. “

Following Sadiya’s death, human rights activist Olumide Omosebi revealed that he was made aware of Sadiya’s case last year.

Regrettably, they delayed until after one year, and it was already too late.

In screenshots of their conversation making the rounds online, the girlfriend, who discovered that her man had been having improper conversations with one of her friends via Instagram DM, queried him about it.

She said that after collecting her friend’s phone and reading through her chats, she discovered that her boyfriend had been asking for explicit pictures of her in an attempt to flirt with her.

She asked why he was having nasty conversations with her friend, whom she identified simply as Tolani, despite being in a relationship with her and knowing they were friends.

However, responding to his girlfriend’s accusations, Tunde, who admitted to flirting with his girlfriend’s friend, immediately put up a defense, saying that flirting isn’t cheating.

A 77-year-old Kenyan man, identified as Andrew Ouma, has revealed he is happily married to seven wives.

Speaking in an interview with Tuko.co.ke, the father of 30 revealed that he got married to his first wife in 1966, when he was 18 years old.

According to Ouma, marrying more than one wife was a way of paying tribute to his mother, and it made him complete.

“Marrying many wives is part of our culture and makes me compete,” he said.

He further disclosed that his wives were neighbors, and his mother approved of marrying them.

He revealed he has so far built houses for four of his wives and is currently constructing houses for the remaining three wives. He also gifted them with a parcel of land each.

Ouma disclosed that he was born into a polygamous family, and his mother was the sixth wife. He said he’s frequently chastised for his polygamy, but he is unconcerned.

Ouma, who is a farmer, said his wish is to see his grandkids study, although he said they are facing hunger problems.

He said he has turned to a marriage counselor and has been helping people in his area.

Along with his 30 children, Andrew Oomua is blessed with 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Lagos state govt to arraign doctor for allegedly defiling wife’s 16-year-old niece

The Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) is set to arraign Dr Femi Olaleye, the Medical Director (MD) of Optimal Cancer Care Foundation (OCCF), today, November 21, for allegedly raping his wife’s 16-year-old niece.

Dr. Olaleye was accused of defiling the minor who was living with him and his wife at their home in Lagos state after her father passed away. He reportedly deflowered the victim after introducing her to pornographic materials.

He was also accused of sexually molesting the girl for a period of 19 months before his wife discovered and reported him to the Lagos State Police Command for investigation.

The police operatives in charge of the investigation arrested Olaleye and the case was transferred to the Gender Unit of the police command in March 2022.

When Olaleye wasn’t properly indicted for the crime, a petition was written to the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Agency to intervene in the matter.

The agency then forwarded the case file to the Directorate of Public Prosecution and recommended Olaleye for trial.

In a letter of notification titled: “State of Lagos vs Dr Olufemi Olaleye”, signed by the Principal State Council of DPP, Mr Oluwagbenga Alagbe, Olaleye will be arraigned in court today.

“Olaleye will be facing a two-count charge of defilement and sexual assault by penetration. He must appear before the honourable court and also make provision for a legal practitioner of his choice,” the letter reads in part.

It would be recalled that actress, Kate Henshaw, called out Dr Olaleye for the said crime few months ago. Popular comedian, Princess who also spoke on the case, accused the police of trying to cover it up.

A Nigerian woman living in Canada has informed other Nigerian women planning to relocate abroad not to come with the expectation of finding love there.

The young lady in a video she shared on TikTok stated that there are no husbands abroad.

In light of this, she urged Nigerian women to find a husband or, even better, get married before proceeding with their relocation plans.

“There’s no husband here abroad. If you have someone you want to get married to , marry that person and bring him here. If you’re thing you will find him here, its not possible, he’s not here”.

In other news, a Nigerian lady, identified as Precious Kolawole, has taken to social media to show her exhilaration after seeing snow for the first time in her life.

The young lady, who recently relocated to Canada, couldn’t contain her excitement after witnessing snow fall from the sky for the first time and filmed a video to capture her reaction.

In the video she posted on her Twitter page, @precillieo is seen talking excitedly about the snow as she captured a view of buildings covered in snow.

Amapiano hitmaker, DJ Sumbody shot dead in South Africa

South African music producer and Amapiano pioneer, Oupa John Sefoka, popularly known as DJ Sumbody, is dead.

The Amapiano artist was shot dead in the early hours of Sunday, November 20, in Johannesburg.

According to local news media, DJ Sumbody and his entourage were traveling on Woodmead Road when unidentified gunmen attacked their vehicle.

DJ Sumbody and one of his bodyguards are said to have died on the spot, while a third person believed to be one of his bodyguards is in critical condition after miraculously surviving the barrage of bullets.

Confirming the attack, the police in Gauteng said they are searching for suspects and investigating the circumstances that led to the attack on the singer.

Lieutenant-Colonel Mavela Masondo said in a statement:

“Police received a complaint about a shooting on Woodmead Drive at approximately 12.30am. Upon arrival at the scene, police found two people inside a VW Golf with gunshot wounds. Both victims, a driver, and a passenger were certified dead on the scene. It was reported that the third victim, who was driving a BMW X5, was taken to the nearest medical care centre after sustaining gunshot wounds.

“Gauteng acting provincial commissioner Major-General Tommy Mthombeni, has deployed maximum resources to trace suspects responsible for this shooting. Police appeal to anyone with information that can help in the investigation or assist in the apprehension of the suspects to call the crime stop number or report to the nearest police station. Information can also be given anonymously via my SAPS App that can be downloaded from any smartphone.”

Nigerian Disc Jockey, Florence Otedola popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has caused quite a stir on the internet after she put her cooking skills on display.

The billionaire heiress, who recently got engaged to her boxer fiancé, Ryan Taylor, took to her Instastory to show off the food she claimed to have cooked by herself.

She shared a photo of a plate with pink-coloured jollof rice different from the normal reddish jollof rice, garnished with beef which looked undone and cucumber.

The 30-year-old entertainer who has a strong obsession with pink, captioned the photo, “Chef Cups, Who’s hungry.”

The photo has since sparked mixed reactions online as netizens share their thoughts on her culinary skills.

Award-winning Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi better known as Tems, has lambasted a troll who berated her for not releasing an album this year.

A fan had taken to Twitter to remind the ‘essence’ crooner that she promised to drop an album in 2022 but the year is almost over and she’s yet to make any announcement.

“@temsbaby promised us an album this year but as we no come hear anything like dis nko?” the fan asked.

In response, the globally-recognized artiste said she has postponed her album release date till next year – 2023.

However, a troll was displeased with her decision to postpone her album release and berated every female artiste in Nigeria, using Tems as her reference.

According to the troll, she doesn’t take female singers seriously because they don’t hustle hard like their male counterparts, and that they start misbehaving once they become famous.

“Next year loun, loun. Nah why I no dey take female artiste serious, they don’t have that hustle spirit like men . Little fame like this, they will start doing anyhow”, she tweeted.

The 27-year-old singer felt offended by the troll’s statement and lambasted her for underrating the hardwork artistes put into their craft, stating that she won’t last a day in the industry.

“SHIOT UP! You won’t last a day doing this shit,” she responded.

Popular Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has added a new car to his fleet of cars.

The Zazu zeh star, whose Range Rover was vandalized at an event a few weeks ago, took to his Instagram page on Sunday to show off his latest acquisition.

Sharing photos of the new car, a black Mazda, Portable thanked God for his numerous blessings.

“It’s been God all the Way…Another 1 to my Garage Congrats to me…Alihamdulilahi A, CEO Doings ZEH Nation to the world”. He wrote.

Although many fans and Instagram followers flooded the comment section with congratulatory messages, a host of others had something to say about the car.

Many Nigerian celebrities have taken to social media to celebrate Nigerian superstar singer, Davido as he clocks 30 today, November 21.

Colleagues, actors, reality TV stars, and fans across all social media platforms penned heartfelt messages to the singer, who has maintained a mournful silence since the death of his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi.

Recall that Davido’s son with Chioma, Ifeanyi, died on Monday, October 31, after drowning in a swimming pool at his home in Banana Island.

Celebrating Davido’s birthday, Big Brother Naija star Dorathy Bachor shared a photo of Davido smiling broadly and described him as someone who is always willing to help others.

Popular Nollywood actor, Timini Egbuson has declared himself the baddest boy in the Nollywood film industry.

The 35-year-old actor stated this in a recent interview with The Nation, adding that someone has to play the role of a villain and he enjoys embodying the character.

According to him, being a ‘bad guy’ in movies is synonymous with his reality and he is not pretending to be someone he is not.

“It is what it is, I am the baddest boy in Nollywood. Somebody has to do it , I’m enjoying it and I am taking people on a journey with me and that’s kind of like a reality. I’m not trying to give false pretenses, I am who I am,” Timini said.

Speaking on a possible collaboration with popular ‘bad boy’ actor, Jim Iyke, Timini said he is a huge fan of the actor and would love to work with him in the future.

“Jim Iyke is an OG. I grew up watching him. When I was growing up, I liked people like Jim Iyke, Hanks Anuku. I like the bad boys because they have more fun. So, if people are comparing me with Jim Iyke, I would take that as a huge compliment and I am really open to working with him. We’ve had conversations about it and I feel like a Jim Iyke and Timini movie will be mad but I don’t know why producers are sleeping on it,” he said.

When asked about how he handles fame and being in the public eye, Timini said he’s not new to popularity as he has always been famous right from secondary school.

Timini added;

“Fame didn’t come to me as a Nollywood actor, I’ve always been famous from secondary school and university days and I knew full well what I was getting into when I decided to start acting, I didn’t want to act and become one of the actors in Nollywood I wanted to come and be the biggest.

“So I’m happy that with the way I have been able to portray being an actor I have been able to push some younger boys in the industry to come and join because I have made it look so enticing. People see me and say I move like a musician but that’s not it, I move like a superstar is supposed to move.”

A student at Kriel High School in South Africa, Bafana Sithole, has reportedly committed suicide by hanging after being falsely accused of rape.

It was gathered that the 17-year-old, who had been accused of rape by a female student, was found hanging in one of the classrooms shortly after writing an exam on Thursday.

Following the tragic incident, the hashtag #JusticeForBafanaSithole began trending on social media, and a lawyer identified as Barry Roux on Twitter shared a snapshot of the deceased’s last note to his mother, where he maintained his innocence before taking his life.

After Bafana died, the supposed victim reportedly claimed that the accusation was false and was in fact a joke.

“Kriel High School learner Bafana Sithole hanged himself with his tie in a Classroom after A girl accused him of Raping her. He Hanged himself then later on the girl claimed ukuthi “SHE JUST WAS KIDDING. #JusticeForBafanaSithole,” the lawyer’s tweet read.

In other news, a final-year student of the Federal Polytechnic in Oko, Orumba North Local Government Area, Anambra has committed suicide.

According to Daily Trust, the deceased allegedly committed suicide on Friday, November 18, after being dumped by his lover. A source claims that the young man, whose identity has not been made public, took sniper after his lover advised him to find another woman. Read here.

Nigerian crossdresser, James Brown has lambasted his senior colleague, Bobrisky, for failing to acknowledge his greeting at an event.

The duo, along with popular influencer, Papaya, were guests at an event last night and their convergence in one location almost erupted into a fight.

In a video making rounds online, the self-styled Princess of Africa was dancing with Papaya close to where Bobrisky was sited but the latter wasn’t comfortable with them dancing too close to him and flared up.

He could be seen gesticulating with his hands that there’s enough space at the venue and they shouldn’t come to his direction.

Amid his outburst, James Brown knelt down before Bobrisky to presumably greet or apologize to him for the disturbance but Bobrisky wasn’t having it at all and fired back at him.
