Fast-rising Nigerian singer, Charles Chibueze Chukwu, popularly known as Crayon, has expressed immense joy after moving his parents out of the ‘trenches’ to a new crib.

Crayon, who is signed to Mavin Records, took to his Twitter page to share the exciting news on Wednesday, December 21, and described it as the best Christmas gift to himself.

The singer, who recently revealed that he has not seen his parents since 2017, said he can finally go home after 5 years.

He tweeted,

“I recently just moved my parents out of the trenches to a new crib! Hallelujah! My best Christmas gift to myself ever! Now I can finally go home after 5 years! I’m so so happy! I feel fulfilled! No more lekki foods, Small hungry like this I don run go house go chop come back!”

A while back, Crayon revealed that he has not gone to visit his parents since 2017.
Crayon, who got signed to Mavin Record in 2019, took to Twitter to make this disclosure on Tuesday, August 9.

He said he left his parent’s house to chase his musical career five years ago and has not returned since then, even though their home is barely two hours away from his current location.

According to the 22-year-old ‘Ijo’ crooner, this is one of the sacrifices he has to make for his career.

A Ugandan pastor, Godfrey Kuteesa, has sparked controversy online over his post about women who are richer than their husbands.

Godfrey took to Twitter to say that a “wise woman” who has more money than her husband won’t give money directly to their children.

According to him, she will secretly give money to her husband to meet the children’s needs, in order to secure his position as the head of the family.

Kuteesa, who is “Passionate about Boys & Men’s Issue”, tweeted on Tuesday, December 20,

“In a home, where Mommy has more money than Daddy, a wise woman will do anything possible not to dominate the home. When kids want something, she’ll tell them “ask ur Dad”, and she’ll will secretly give Dad the money to meet the Kids’ needs. That’s a #WiseWoman.”

In a follow-up tweet he shared while responding to a tweep, he wrote,

“The idea of showing kids that Daddy as the provider of the home is to help them emulemuate the old man. We teach daily that a father provides for a home. U want them to grow up seeing this in their father so they’d do the same. We’re what we see!!”

A father has cried out for justice for his little daughter, Precious, who he claims was beaten to death by a woman.

The bereaved father, a local musician from Benue State identified as Jerry B. Achirkpi, previously took to Facebook on November 17, 2022, to raise alarm that his daughter had been abducted.

“HELP OOOOOOOOO. Kidnapper give me my daughter, where are you PP. PRECIOUS please come back. Your daddy miss you. Come and see your new born brother EXCELLENT. Someone should help me. I need my daughter back,” he wrote.

However, in an updated post on December 18, he claimed that a woman, identified as Mrs. Ujunwa Ugwoke, has been arrested in connection with his daughter’s alleged disappearance and murder.

According to him, the woman confessed to the Anti-kidnapping squad of the Enugu State Police Command, to beating his daughter to death but has refused to show him her corpse.

“PLEASE I NEED HELP ( KIDNAPPING AND MURDER) MRS UJUNWA UGWOKE confirmed before anti-kidnapping squad Enugu that is kidnapped and killed my beautiful daughter MISS PRECIOUS KORSHIMA (PP JERRY B) after failing to collect ransom of N20,000,000 from me,”

“She claimed that she beat her to death, but refused to show me the dead body of my daughter that she dropped the dead body in the bush close to a community and the chief of that community order the youths to burn the corpse.

“She has been under anti-kidnapping over 1 month now and police are not helping matters , they keep on telling me story everyday. Please I NEED JUSTICE. I NEED HELP. I NEED MY LITTLE PRECIOUS. Please share it to reach my help,” he wrote.

A Nigerian man has caused a stir after he took to social media to solicit funds for his upcoming wedding.

The man who’s set to tie the knot with his wife in March 2023 sent an email to a non-governmental organization, the Halal Foundation, asking for help from well-meaning Nigerians.

According to the groom-to-be, he lost his parents when he was still in secondary school, so he’s currently incapable of handling the cost of the wedding all by himself.

The man, from Katsina state, also listed in his letter all the items he’ll need for the wedding, with their prices in dollars.

The majority of the items on the list are clothes and accessories, which range from $50 to $100. He also included his house rent, which he stated is $250. 

The letter read in part,

“Request for Marriage Funding Assistance
I, Hassan, am writing to beg financial support for my upcoming marriage. My parents died when I was in Senior Secondary two, and I am a native of Katsina State, Nigeria, where I had my elementary and secondary education (2). Later, I went to Polytechnic and earned a diploma in Computer Science.

I put my complete mind and confidence on your side, knowing that by God’s grace, you will help me opt out of the crucial circumstance I find myself in with whatever you intend to provide me as my marriage will be done on March 3rd, 2023 by next year by God’s grace.

I would be quite grateful if you could support and assist me in carrying out my marriage without the need for a loan from a bank or making me feel concerned.”

Halal shared the letter on its Twitter page and wrote, “A brother emailed us that he needs your help for his marriage, which is coming soon.”

Popular Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has tendered a public apology to his first wife, May, for taking a second wife.

In a lengthy Instagram post, the father of five admitted that his marriage to his colleague, Judy Austin, had deeply hurt May.

He noted that he agrees with her that polygamy shouldn’t be forced on anyone while noting that his marriage to Judy was “unplanned.”.

He declared his unwavering love for May and assured her that no one can take her place in his life.

“To my dear wife, Queen May Yul-Edochie, I acknowledge that I hurt you deeply and I’ve apologized to you countless times. I take the blame for my actions. I agree with you that polygamy shouldn’t be forced on anyone. You never bargained for it from the beginning neither did I. But I guess life happens.

Nigerian musician, Harrison Okiri, popularly known as Harrysong, and his wife have welcomed their second child together.

The excited father took to his Instagram page on Wednesday morning, December 21, to share the good news.

Sharing a cute photo of himself holding their newborn’s hand, he revealed she was born in the early hours of today.

He also revealed her name as Purity.

Popular Zimbabwean socialite and Twitter user, Ayanda Muponda, has been convicted and sentenced to prison for selling sex toys.

Muponda, who sold the adult toys on different social media platforms, was found guilty of breaking the Custom and Excise Act and exposing kids to pornography.

Popular Zimbabwean socialite jailed

An Mbare magistrate court sentenced her to 24 months in prison and 640 hours of unpaid labor.

On the condition that she refrain from committing a similar crime within the next five years, the court suspended six months of the jail sentence.

The remaining 16 months were suspended on the condition that she completes community service.

A Germany-based Nigerian man has lamented bitterly after his bag was allegedly broken into by some airport staff in Nigeria.

Taking to Twitter to share his ordeal, the man with handle @Rashiid9, said he arrived Nigeria recently after being away for four years, and was welcomed with a big blow.

He said his travelling bag which costs about 400 euros was destroyed by a yet-to-be airport employee who carted away some of his valuables, including a Givenchy perfume.

Infuriated by the experience, the man went online to share a photo of the box with spoilt zipper.

Just recently, a Nigerian On Air Personality, Ope also took to social media to express outrage after her box was allegedly broken into at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.

Ope, who flew into Nigeria from London on Monday, December 13, said upon her arrival, she discovered that her brand new box had been damaged and broken into.

A Nigerian man has stirred mixed reactions on social media after he kicked against the ideology that a woman must be totally submissive to her husband.

Taking to Twitter, the man identified as @ajeromorgan, said that if his wife does everything he tells her to do, then she is his child and not his wife.

According to him, a wife should not be controlled by her husband, adding that marriage is a union of two adults with different ideas and opinions.

He further asserted that a control freak cannot build a successful marriage.

His words,

“IF MY WIFE does everything I tell her to do, then she’s my child and not my wife. That would be “parenting,” not “partnering.” Marriage is a union of two adults with different ideas and opinions. Knowing this has helped my attitude. A control freak cannot build a great marriage”.

His tweet drew a range of responses. While some of his followers agreed with him, others pointed out that his ideology is baseless.

US-based Nigerian dancer, Korra Obidi, has recounted her encounter with male admirers on the streets of Lagos.

The mother of two, who’s currently in Nigeria for the holidays, has been sharing updates on her stay on her social media pages with her fans and followers.

In a recent update, she revealed that she stepped out of her house to get fruit, and random men approached her.

In the video she shared online recounting the experience, Korra, who sported a skimpy school uniform, is seen patronising a roadside fruit seller when some guys approached and engaged in a conversation.

North Korea has declared a seven-day period of mourning to celebrate the 11th anniversary of the death of former leader Kim Jong Il, during which no singing, drinking, or rejoicing will be permitted.

The government has ordered its citizens to reflect solemnly on the late ‘Dear Leader,’ the father of current leader Kim Jong Un, who died on December 17, 2011.

The time of mourning began on Wednesday and will finish on December 20.

“You must never drink alcohol or engage in entertainment such as singing or drinking during the memorial period,” a resident of the northern province of Ryanggang told Radio Free Asia’s Korean Service on Wednesday, speaking on the condition of anonymity due to security concerns.

Furthermore, significant life events like as coming-of-age rituals, marriages, funerals, and even jesa, the rite to commemorate the deceased, are expected to be toned down or avoided.

Authorities have also warned individuals not to make political remarks or criticize the government during the period, and have stated that secret agents will be on the lookout.

Movement around the country would also be more limited than usual, and paying authorities for travel visas would be practically difficult during the mourning period, according to the source.

The man, identified as @Olanreniwaju, said the woman types all the wrongdoings of her neighbors, prints it out and distributes it to all and sundry.

He shared photos of the 4-page document he received from the woman, and in it, she listed out the names of those who offended her in the area and asked people to warn them to stay out of her business.

The woman, who seemed delusional, also claimed that the people who allegedly killed her parents are plotting to beat her to death.

A Nigerian man has been dubbed “husband of the year” by netizens after a video of him supporting his pregnant wife while she was in labour surfaced online.

In the heartwarming video that’s currently making the rounds, the caring husband is seen wearing a maternity gown and making serious efforts to cheer his wife up, to take her mind off the pain.

Sharing the video on her TikTok page, the wife wrote,

The mother, identified as Catherine Nwafor, took to her Instagram page to express gratitude to God for saving her son’s life one year after the incident.

Sharing a CCTV footage that captured the incident and recent videos of her son, the woman recalled how she was frying fish in the kitchen and her toddler went into the kitchen when no one was there and attempted to pull down the frying pan.

After several attempts to pull down the frying pan with hot oil, he succeeded in dragging it down and the content spilt on the floor, but thankfully, an adult saw him in the nick of time and pulled him away.

Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has responded to a notorious troll from Ghana who blamed him for the death of his son, Ifeanyi.

Recall that Ifeanyi passed away in a drowning incident in the singer’s Banana Island home in Lagos on Monday, October 31.

Following his tragic demise, many netizens went online to condole with the singer and his wife, Chioma. However, the troll, who wasn’t empathetic towards Davido, posted a series of insensitive tweets about the singer.

The troll, identified as Albert Nat Hyde, accused Davido of poor parenting, negligence and carelessness, leading to the death of his son. He added that in a saner clime, Davido would have been arrested for negligence.

He tweeted,

“In advanced countries like in the US, Davido and Chioma (parents of Ifeanyi) will be investigated for the death of their son and probably sued for negligence (if found culpable).

Laz, in a Facebook post on Tuesday, December 19, 2022, said marriages started having issues when the importance of keeping one’s chastity until marriage was ignored.

He asserted that premarital sex is an idea from the devil, hence, couples who engage in it may experience problems in their marriage.
