A Nigerian woman has raised the bar for her fellow women as she takes her boyfriend on a romantic date and spent over 50k on their meal.

This comes after women were dared to splurge their hard-earned money on their boyfriends/husbands this September, as against men always taking them out.

The young lady, identified as @folamyflower on Twitter, took to the platform on Tuesday, September 13, to announce that she has carried out the challenge. According to her, she took her boyfriend to a luxury restaurant in Lekki, Lagos.

She shared a photo of the food they were served at the restaurant as well as the the bill she received after the fine dining and it amounted to #58,700.

A Nigerian lady has shared the measures she takes to prevent other women from coming to her boyfriend’s house to cook for him when she’s not around.

In a viral clip, the lover girl identified as @basseyphayvor revealed she stocks her man’s fridge with a variety of delicacies to avoid other women coming up with the excuse to cook for him when she’s not around.

In the video she shared on social media, she cooked different native soups, like efo riro, which she put in plastic bowls and stored in her boyfriend’s fridge.

She claims that since her boyfriend has more than enough to eat, this will stop ladies other than her boyfriend’s mother or sister from cooking for him at home.

In her words,

“Made him eforiri and native stew. at least there would be no excuse for another woman except his mum or sis of cause, to come and cook for him.”

In other news, a man has taken to Twitter to solicit advice for his friend whose wife started misbehaving after relocating to the UK with him.

According to the man identified as @iMotivateAfrica on Twitter, his friend dated his wife for four years before they got married in July 2021, and then relocated abroad a month after.

He said the plan was for his friend to focus on his studies in the UK, while his wife work and provide for their family.

However, things escalated in the first quarter of 2022 when the wife started acting strangely, keeping late nights and reneged on her financial responsibility.

To mark her new age, the thespian turned evangelist shared adorable photos of herself on her social media pages and expressed gratitude to God for another year.

The sexagenarian stated that as one ages, they come to realize that life is not about who or what they have acquired, but rather about the people they have been able to bless with their existence.

The veteran in an Instagram post stated that she is not afraid of getting old because life is fleeting so it’s better to fully enjoy your years on earth.

According to her, some people go the extra mile to cover up the fact that they are aging but she personally doesn’t need anyone’s validation about her looks.

Popular Nigerian singer, Paul Okoye, has reunited with his estranged wife, Anita, for the first time since she filed for divorce.

It would be recalled that in August 2021, news made the rounds that Anita, a mother of three, had filed for a divorce from the singer.

She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason behind her decision in a court petition that was shared online.

Well, a video of the estranged couple who reunited to spend time with their children has been shared online and stirred sweet reactions from fans.

Anita, her estranged husband, Paul, and their children visited a gaming lounge, and from the clips from the outing that were shared online, it was clear the family had so much fun.

This comes after a copy of the court petition filed by celebrity wife, Anita Okoye against her husband, Paul Okoye, found its way to the internet.

In the court petition that leaked online Anita accused the singer of sleeping with one of their housemaids.

It was also alleged that Paul sent Anita and her sister packing after they found out about his illicit affair with the housemaid, and accused him of not being remorseful for his actions and bragging about having the affair to “clip Anita’s wings”.

It was also contained in the document that the singer was an absentee father who wasn’t interested in the upbringing of their children, and was rarely home due to the nature of his career.

Former Nigerian singer turned clergyman, Emmanuel Okosi, popularly known as Soul-E, has advised women against getting married to men whose mother and sisters do not like them.

The clergyman, in a video posted on social media, said the worst mistake a woman can man is to marry into such a family because they would eventually regret their decision.

According to him, based on his experience as a prophet, women who marry into such families end up with multiple problems and challenges in marriage.

He further stated that when a man’s mother and sisters love you as a woman, your marriage have a better chance of lasting long.

Soul E said in part,

“The worst mistake most women do is that they get involved with partners who the partner’s family, the mother in-law or sister in-law does not like you. A man has been taken into police custody after a random lady he brought home after a night-out passed out while they were having sex.

According to his neighbour who took to Twitter to narrate the incident @josh_uglyasf, the said man brought the young lady to his house to have a nice time, unknown to him that she is asthmatic.

During their sexual rendezvous, she had an asthma attack and passed out in the process. He devised every possible means to resuscitate her and fortunately, she woke up.

When she however went back to sleep, she didn’t wake up the next morning prompting her friend, who was worried after she didn’t return home, to contact her parents who in turn alerted the police.

“Men, stop taking random girls to your house and allowing them spend the night… My neighbor has just been picked up by the police.

This dude is a life of the party kind of guy. He changes girls everyday and always prides himself about it.

I had a conversation with him once where I advised him to calm down but he told me he’s young and he deserves to enjoy his life🤷🏾‍♂️

Few minutes ago, police came around and forced their way into his house and found the girl he came home with last night lifeless.

The story has it that she’s one of his numerous girlfriends and this is the first time he’s bring her home.

Unfortunately, while they were copulating she had an attack (she’s got asthma) but he doesn’t know.

He tried everything to get her to normalcy; she eventually calmed down after jerking for minutes and she slept off, or so he thought.

She didn’t wake up this morning and her friend whom she was supposed to go out with has been calling her all morning.

She’s the one that alerted her family who in turn alerted the police. She has been carried away by ambulance and the boy taken to the station. We don’t know if she’s good or gone, but we hope she’s still around for his sakes.

Popular UK-based Nigerian DJ commits suicide moments after dropping off his kids at school

Popular Nigerian disc jockey, Olaniyi Oladigbo, professionally known as DJ Ola has died.

According to friends of the deceased, DJ Ola, who was quite popular in the Nigerian community in the UK, committed suicide on Tuesday, September 13 after battling depression.

He is said to have ended it all over how people treated him. One of his friends claimed that he usually complained about how people talked down on him.

In a lengthy Facebook post, Ola’s wife’s pastor, Philip Oyewale, who described him as one who was always willing to help others, said he had threatened to kill himself on several occasions, before finally taking his own life yesterday.

According to Oyewale, a special evening prayer will be held in Liverpool on Friday night, September 16, to celebrate his life.

One death, too many!!!
I was in a prayer program yesterday, when the wife of D J Ola, called. I declined the call and she sent me one of the most distressing text ever; ‘ I just lost my husband’. I quickly went out to verify the rude joke. With tears, she explained the circumstances that led to his death.

Niyi was married to his beloved wife, Hellen. I can categorically tell you, he loved his wife and children to bit. He was a responsible father. He will do anything to protect and provide for his family. He adored his wife. He hated it when you report him to his wife. He loved her and we that were closed to them know it. Let me move to the next point, the cause of his death.

Contrary to what has been circulating on the social media, Niyi has always been dealing with depression and insomnia.
He had on several occasions threatened to kill himself. Any little thing, he would say, ‘I will just kill myself’. I remember telling him one day in my office with the wife present, that he needed mental health assessment.

I instructed the wife to encourage him to see the doctor. Since his demise yesterday, I gathered he had attempted to kill himself few times without success. He sent messages to few people a night before, telling them he was depressed. He sent a message to his wife and children also, telling them he loved them but really depressed.

“Personally, I noticed during the son’s tenth birthday thanksgiving in the church on the 28th August, 2022, he was not himself. Niyi will always make a scene with his dancing. That day he was too quiet. And I was thinking, this man eventually is growing. I narrowly missed the hint that could possibly have averted the ugly incident of yesterday.” Oyewole wrote on Facebook.

Colleagues and friends have also trooped to Facebook to mourn his tragic passing.

Popular Kenyan socialite and entrepreneur, Huddah Monroe has said she wishes she listened to the warning she received from her mom and aunts about West African men.

Taking to her Instastory, the 30-year-old reality show star said she was advised against dating West African men, especially Nigerian and Congolese men, but their advice fell on deaf ears.

Huddah stated this while recalling how the President of Kenya, William Ruto, admitted that it was difficult for him to give away his daughter to a Nigerian man.

Reacting to President Ruto’s statement, the East African socialite revealed that most parents in her country advised their daughters against getting involved with West African men but they never listened.

The Comedian took to his social media page to share the sad news that his mother passed away.

According to Seyi, his mother spoke with him and his family before her death.

His post reads –

MY DEAR MOTHER, MY DARLING QUEEN IS GONE.

I saw a flash of light entered my room, I saw a full moon and then, my phone rang that my beloved Queen has ended her journey.

I am grateful to you, my beautiful mother for speaking to my family yesterday before you removed this earthly body. You sang with Tifeoluwa, spoke with Tiwaloluwa and my wife and encouraged me.

“So last year July, my friend tied the knot with the love of his life of 4 years. It looked like a promising union but we were wondering why man rushed because he was barely 26 and she was 23 years old. As a matter of fact, he just got a job of 90k VAT inclusive.

A month after their union, he called me that he was in the UK already with his newly wedded wife. I was so happy for him and I wished him good success even as he was far away from home. Apparently, he is the scholar and his wife is the dependent. I.e, He goes to school and has only 20 hours to work per week while his wife was working full time and was making more money than he was.

The problem started in the first quarter of this year as she stopped dropping money for weekly as planned since she is automatically the breadwinner.

My friend said “She started from picking suspected calls, staying late out after work and refusing to drop money to sort the weekly bills which is supposed to be the plan.” Note: The whole japa tingy was an all expense paid relocation by the guy (my friend).

The problem has now escalated because my friend needs to pay the remaining school fees as it was half he paid before they both moved to the UK. Initial Plan: I go to school while you work and when I’m done with school, you will go to school while i work too.

A young Nigerian lady is currently trending on social media after she detailed how she blew the sum of N1 million which she had in her account.

The pretty lady shared a video which showed screenshots of her N1,027,549 account balance and things she used the money to do in days, leaving her with only N99.

She spent the entire money on enjoyment and ended up having a balance of less than N100.

The snapshot showed that she originally had N1,027,548, but after going to a pricey restaurant and ordering food and drinks, she was left with N923,573.

After that, she went on a boat cruise with her friends, where they partied and drank expensive bottles of wine. She took out more, went shopping, played video games at an arcade, and then went to visit an expensive restaurant again.

She also traveled to Ghana to have a good time, spending what little money she had left there.

At the end of the video, she expressed regret as she shared a screenshot of her account balance, which had dropped to N99.

Reacting to one of May’s social media posts, the pastor, who identified herself as Pastor Fortunata from Tanzania, assured the mother of four to be at rest, as Yul would soon come begging for forgiveness.

“May what I know, one day your husband will come to you and beg you. Pastor Fortunata. From Tanzania”, she wrote.

May seemingly agreeing with the pastor’s prediction, thanked her for her prayers.

A self-proclaimed classy Nigerian lady, simply identified as Elizabeth, has furiously set ablaze a cheap wig her boyfriend gifted her.

Elizabeth began trending on the popular video sharing platform, TikTok, after she shared the video of her burning the wig and then discarding it in a refuse dump.

Social media users who saw the video and assumed she was destroying the wig because she had received something different from what she had ordered asked her to tag the vendor.

The fashionista then revealed that it was not the vendor’s fault but her boyfriend’s who decided to gift her a cheap wig, and as she couldn’t get herself to rock such a cheap wig, she set it ablaze.

“The vendor nor do anything. na my bf nor know better wig”. She wrote.

The woman allegedly received an iPhone 13 Pro Max as a present from someone, and when her fiancé learned about it, he inquired as to who had given it to her, but she refused to tell him.

He confronted her to know who gifted her the pricey gadget, but she insisted on keeping the person’s identity a secret.

Nigerian singer and father-of-three, Wizkid, has shown that apart from being a superstar singer, he’s also a doting dad.

A video that’s currently making the rounds online captured the moment the singer expressed concern when he couldn’t reach his first son, Boluwatife, on the phone.

Wizkid had put a call across to his first son, Boluwatife’s, phone to check up on him, but the young lad didn’t pick up.

In the video, the Grammy Award winner was in a car heading to an unnamed location with his manager when he put a call across to his son, who didn’t pick up.

When the manager suggested to a worried Wizkid that his son was probably not picking up because he was asleep, Wizkid replied that his son is a rockstar who doesn’t sleep so early.

In another part of the video, the proud father expressed his love for his son.

Meanwhile, Boluwatife Balogun, the first son of Nigerian superstar singer, Wizkid, has taken to social media to share his first official photos as a high school student.

Recall that his mother, Shola Ogudu, had earlier in the week announced that he had resumed high school.

Shola Ogudu took to her Instagram page to share the news and expressed unreserved joy and fulfillment at his growth.

Well, proudly announcing his new status as a high school student, the 11-year-old requested that some respect be added to his name now.

Four government workers arrested for withdrawing their late colleague’s money in Bauchi

Men of the Bauchi State Police Command have arrested four government officials for withdrawing the sum of N332,000 belonging to their late colleague.

The suspects have been detained in police custody for alleged forgery and fraud, according to a statement released by the command’s spokesperson, SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil.

The men were arrested after the next of kin of the deceased, Jibrin Adamu, who worked with the Bauchi State Ministry of Finance, went to process her father’s benefits only to discover that it had been withdrawn by some persons who used forged documents.

She reported the incident to the police who immediately swung into action, and launched an investigation which revealed that one Nasiru Samaila conspired with three others – Auwal Jibrin, Tijani Mohammad and Faruq Mohammad Nasiru to withdraw the money.

They “selfishly and mercilessly forged documents and accessed the sum of three hundred and thirty-two thousand (N332,000) naira belonging to the deceased and converted it to their personal use, shared the benefit among themselves.”

When they were interrogated, they all confessed to playing an active role in the crime. Nasiru said he received two hundred and twelve thousand naira (N212,000.00); Auwal, one hundred thousand nairas (N100,000.00); Faruq, twenty thousand naira (N20,000.00),

The police has however recovered N320,000.00 from the suspects, and they will be arraigned before a court soon.

LAUTECH graduate who returned his certificate and demanded refund of his school fees receives #500,000

Oludare Alaba, the graduate of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) who went viral recently for demanding a refund of his school fees because it has been useless to him, has received the sum of #500,000.

A video of Alaba throwing tantrums at the school reception as he returned his certificate and demanded that all the fees he paid be refunded to him recently went viral and caused a stir online.

According to him, he’s a talented entertainer and he’s confident that if he’s refunded and he diverts it to his entertainment career, he’ll be successful. Read here.

Well, in a new update he shared on his Facebook page on Sunday, September 11, Alaba disclosed that the alumni body of the university has reimbursed him with #500,000.

He wrote,

“I hereby seize this medium to express my deep appreciation to the Global Body of LAUTECH Alumni as outstandingly led by the President, Hon. Onilede Solomon popularly known as LIMO, the Board of Trustees, and the Oyo State Chapter of the Association for their presentation of the #500,000 cheque to me today.

May Almighty God continue to be with you and all members of the Association for their show of love and support.

I thank you, once again.”

Popular dancehall singers, Burna Boy and Timaya, recently had a light-hearted banter over a bottle of drink reportedly worth over a million naira.

In a video making the rounds online, Burna Boy, a Grammy-award winner, is seen drinking from an expensive bottle of alcohol when the ‘cold outside’ singer playfully tackled their patrons for not giving him a bottle as well.

He then asked if it is because he does not have a Grammy award like his colleague, but the ‘African Giant’ pointed out that Timaya was the one who drank most of the content of the bottle.

There was drama in the Big Brother Naija level-up house on Tuesday afternoon as Phyna and Bella got into a heated argument.

The drama started when the current Head of House, Phyna, asked Bella, who was chatting away with Chomzy during a wager task meeting, to suspend their discussion till after the meeting.

“Every discussion here is about the wager. Bella, you can talk about food when you get to the room. Let’s talk about the wager.” Phyna said.

This triggered Bella, who immediately responded to Phyna that she’s in no position to dictate to her.

“You have no right to say that, control what I say are you the owner of the house”, Bella responded.

The argument resulted in a war of words between the ladies as they called each other unprintable names.

Bella said Phyna was from the street, and an enraged Phyna, in response, lambasted Bella and questioned her upbringing.
