Sophia Momodu, the first babymama of popular Nigerian singer, Davido, has debunked alleged report that she’s currently pregnant for another man.

The speculations began after some netizens supposedly spotted a baby bump in a video she posted on her social media page.

Reacting to the pregnancy rumour, Sophia, who has a child with Davido, went live on her Instagram page to dismiss the rumour as false, while noting that she would not hide her pregnancy from the media if she gets pregnant again.

According to her, she hid her first pregnancy from the world, and has no intention of hiding her next pregnancy because she’s not scared of anyone.

Her words,

“I made a decision this year that if something comes up about me that I am not comfortable with, that is completely untrue, I will speak up on it. I am not Beyonce, I can’t do that Beyonce silence.

If I am pregnant I am going to pull a Rihanna on you. You all know my life is public there is nothing to hide. If I am pregnant we will practically raise it together.

If I was pregnant you will see it cause I am not scared of nobody my first pregnancy was private, I promise you my next pregnancy would be public, cause I have done the privacy, I want to do the publicly am not scared of you guys, so I need you guys to stop with the pregnancy rumours.”

Big Brother Naija season 7 housemates, Diana and Chichi almost came to blows last night during a heated argument over male housemate, Deji.

The fight broke out on Sunday night after the levels were canceled and the housemates were merged.

Recall that during the live eviction on Sunday, the show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, announced that the housemates would be merged into one house.

Since the housemates were combined into one, there weren’t enough lockers, so Deji, who had been close to Chichi in the house, chose to share his locker with Diana. However, this decision didn’t sit well with Chichi, who subsequently took her anger out on Diana.

The women got into a brawl, calling each other unprintable names and almost getting physical, but for the other housemates who held them.

Evicted Big Brother Naija ‘level up’ housemate, Cyph has penned an open letter to his co-star, Beauty Tukura, who was disqualified from the show in the second week.

The former Miss Nigeria was booted out of the competition on Sunday, August 7, after she fought with her love interest, Groovy, for dancing with other female housemates at a Saturday night party.

Cyph has now penned an emotional note to Beauty in a post shared on his Instagram page, validating her rage and emotional outburst on the show, while stating that the reason behind them have been proven to be true.

It’s presumed that he was referring to how fast Groovy moved on after she was disqualified and began dating Phyna.

63-yr-old grandpa arrested for shipping illicit drugs concealed in black soap to his daughter in Dubai

Officers of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has arrested a 63-year-old grandfather for peddling drugs.

According to a statement by the spokesperson of the agency, Femi Babafemi, the suspect identified as Afolabi Abideen Kolawole, was on August 18 arrested in Ibadan, Oyo State.

According to reports, he was behind the intercepted drug exhibit going to Dubai, on August 4. His arrest is coming after more than four sets of arrests eventually unraveled him.

The 63-year-old confessed that he was responsible for the concealment and packaging of the c@nnabis inside the black native soap used as mode of concealment. He also admitted this was his second attempt at sending such illicit substance to his daughter, Barakat, in Dubai.

In related news, The Nigerian government has revealed that it is working with authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to assist Nigerians stranded in Dubai.

A video recently made the rounds on social media with women who claimed to be Nigerians calling on the government to assist them and also accusing the Nigerian mission in Dubai of being uninterested in their plight.

Following the emergence of the video, Francisca Omayuli speaking for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a press release, said the Nigerian Mission has been working hard to collate the details of the stranded Nigerians with a view to issuing Emergency Travel Certificates (ETC) to those with no means of identification.

Popular Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham has taken to social media to announce that she has settled her long-time feud with her colleague, Lizzy Anjorin.

The duo have had a personal vendetta since 2019 when Lizzy accused Toyin of outing her to the press that she was held and searched for drug peddling during her hajj trip to Saudi Arabia.

The fight degenerated into a full blown beef and in 2021, Lizzy again accused Toyin of using fake accounts to troll her on social media.

In a new update shared on Sunday, August 21, Toyin revealed that they had to involve the police in the case and it was proven that she was not the one behind the fake accounts.

Following the police investigation, Toyin said Lizzy apologized for her misgivings and they have both decided to put the misunderstanding behind them.

A while ago, Chief Priest was forced to end his vacation in the UK because of the high naira to pounds exchange rate.
Taking to his Instastory to complain bitterly as pounds hits #830 in the black market, Cubana Chief Priest said he was coming back to where “things are easy”.

The celebrity barman had travelled to the UK with his wife, Angel, on Tuesday, August 16, and went shopping with her at different designer stores.

He shared a video of his wife trying on a sneakers and wrote, “She don start. If the world is for sale, I go buy am for you”.

The couple then spent the night at a luxury hotel in London which Cubana said was very expensive.

He said he didn’t let his wife sleep all night because he couldn’t sleep while thinking about the amount he spent on the room for one night.

“Exchange rate na die, I no gree @deangels sleep this night. We go do night vigil. If you convert this suite money to naira, sleep no fit catch you. Naija is gone,” he wrote.

In a follow-up post, the business mogul disclosed that he was returning back to Nigeria because the exchange rate is not favorable.

Man arrested for impregnating his 14-year-old daughter and inviting five other men to sleep with her in Ogun

The Ogun state police command has arrested a 49-year-old man, Amoda Bola, for allegedly impregnating his 14-year-old daughter and forcing her into prostitution.

The suspect, a resident of Idi Oro street, Ode Remo, was arrested on August 17 following a complaint received from the victim. The teenager had reported at Ode Remo divisional headquarters that her father, with whom she has been living with for some years now, has been having carnal knowledge of her.

She stated further that her father has also been inviting men to the house to sleep with her, after which the men will pay him money.

Following the complaint, the suspect, Amoda Bola, was arrested at his residence.

On interrogation, the suspect, who first denied the allegations, later confessed when the victim confronted him. His confession led to the arrest of five others who had slept with the victim at different times on the invitation of the father.

The other suspects are: Ahmed Ogunkoya, 30yrs, Muyiwa Adeoye, 48yrs, David Sunday Solaja, 69yrs, Emmanuel Olusanya, 50yrs, and Joshua Olaniran, 50yrs.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said all the suspects have confessed to having carnal knowledge of the 14-year-old girl and have paid money to the father.

Oyeyemi said the victim, whose mother had separated from the father years back, said she was practically turned into a prostitute by her father.

“She has been taken to state hospital Isara Remo where it was confirmed that she is pregnant. The victim has insisted that it was her father who is responsible for the pregnancy been the only person who slept with her within the period she got pregnant.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to anti humans trafficking and child labour unit of the state Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation and possible prosecution.” Oyeymi said

Nigerian IG comedienne, Nons Miraj in a recent video shared on social media, advised Nigerians to waive the idea of moving to London, United Kingdom, because of the country’s basic living costs.

Sharing her experience when she boarded a ride in London, Nons revealed she was charged over a hundred pound for an 80-mile trip.

According to her, she pays less for such rides like that in Nigeria. Miraj went on to add that she always complains that the fare is too much in Lagos despite the meagre amount she pays.

Nollywood actress, Helen Paul cautioned her colleague Yomi Fabiyi after the actor shared a video of his child’s mother at a vulnerable stage just to prove a point following a dramatic social media fight they had recently.

In the video that was shared by the actor, Amarachi Grace Jimoh was in labour as Yomi is seen smiling while the pregnant mum begged him to stop filming and call the doctor.

“When we were doing it at the time, you were enjoying it,” Yomi is heard telling Amarachi as she begged for the presence of a doctor.

Oba Oloyede Adeyeoba Akinghare ll, the Arujale Ojima of Okeluse, in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State has avowed that he will marry more than one wife as tradition demands.

The 19-year-old monarch who recently graduated from secondary school, disclosed this in an interview with Sunday Vanguard.

He is quoted as saying,

“Yes it is compulsory I will marry more than one wife. In our tradition here, it is compulsory for a king to have more than one wife because the first wife, if she has a male child, the male child will become the next king and the second wife’s first male child will become what we call Eleki and, if the first wife does not have a male child and the second wife has, it is the first male child of the second wife that will become the next king. The Eleki is the second in command to the king; if the king is not around, the Eleki will be in charge.” he said.

Akinghare, who is the youngest ruling Yoruba monarch in Nigeria, also shared that he has female friends but he is too shy to talk to girls.

“I have a lot of them, but I want to grow a bit older and get more mature before I get involved with women, l mean get married. For now I don’t really like to talk to girls, so to woo a lady is hard for me because if you see me you will know I am a shy person.” he added.

In a sad turn out of events, married Big Brother housemate, Kess has been announced as the latest housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother Naija house.

Kess was among six other housemates who were up for eviction at the start of the week and sadly, his time in the Big Brother house has come to an end following his eviction.

When Ebuka asked how he feels about his eviction, he said he felt disappointed as he felt he could have stayed back longer in the house.

It’s a double eviction night and at least, one more housemate among Chizzy, Daniella, Pharmsavi, Modella, Amaka and Groovy will possibly be evicted tonight.

A couple of days back, Kess’s family revealed that his wife had a miscarriage. It was earlier reported that the 28-year-old married housemate lost his son on the 25th of July, 2022, just three days after the show started.

Giving details on the tragic incident in an official statement, the family said Kess’ wife had a miscarriage and she’s now in perfect condition.

The family asked for support and prayers as he continues his quest in the Big Brother house.

“The past weeks have been most trying for the family of Adjepkovu. We are saddened by the loss of Kess’s son through a miscarriage but we are comforted by the well wishes and kind thoughts of friends around. Special regards to the wife for being strong and courageous through the whole experience.

Popular Nigerian On-Air Personality, Tolu “Toolz” Oniru-Demuren, has taken to her social media page to share her opinion about children who come from polygamous families.

According to the media personality, Polygamy rarely produce undamaged children.

Toolz, who is a happily married mother-of-two stated this on her Instastory on Saturday August 20.

She added that a lot of things she wants to change about herself are due to her experience as a child from a polygamous family.

Her post reads;

A video making the rounds on social media shows the exhilirating moment a woman tried to cure a man’s mental sickness with prayers.

The woman fervently laid her hands on the man as she tried to cast and bind the madness away but her efforts didn’t yield too much positive results.

At a point, the mentally-unstable man fired back at her saying “I don hear, abeg dey go”

A Twitter user with the handle @foreverdeb_ shared the video on her page and wrote –

A man has been hospitalized after he accidentally cut off his own testicles while sleeping.

47-year-old Ghanian Farmer, Kofi Atta, dozed off in an armchair and said he managed to pick up a knife while sleeping and he had a dream about cutting meat.

In his sleep, he said he mistakenly cut his testicle.

Still in a dream-like state, the farmer from Assin Akomfede called for two neighbours who rushed to his house and found him alone, covered in blood.

In his words –

“I was sitting in my chair when I dozed off. In my sleep, I dreamt that I was cutting some meat in front of me.

“I don’t remember how I picked up the knife, even I am confused.”

According to the man, he was still unsure of what had happened when his neighbours came through, although he stood up and felt a sharp pain in his genitals.

Popular Nigerian Prophet, Oba Solomoni, has averred that being a commercial sex worker pays more than being a University Graduate in Nigeria these days.

A Nigerian businesswoman has revealed that she recently dumped her 40-year-old boyfriend for knowing the full lyrics of fast rising singer, Asake’s hit single ‘Palazzo’.

Taking to Twitter, the young lady, identified as Farida Kabir, said she had to end their relationship because she found it irky that a full grown man would lose his manners whenever the song comes on and starts singing along to it.

She said when she couldn’t take it anymore, she decided to break up with him.

Popular philanthropist and ‘Chess in Slum’ convener, Tunde Onakoya, has shared the transformation of a young fish hawker he rescued from a slum in Ikorodu, Lagos state, and enrolled in school.

Taking to Twitter, Tunde narrated how he met the young girl having fish on the streets two years ago and decided to give her a chance at a better life.

He said he adopted her as his child, put her through three months therapy because she had been sexually abused by a 40-year-old man, and enrolled her in a school.

Tunde shared pictures of the young girl whom he identified as Odunayo and wrote,

“Today makes it exactly two years since I met Odunayo hawking fish on the streets of majidun Ikorodu with her little brother.

A lot has happened since then, but two weeks ago, she completed her first year of school and passed her examinations😊

This was the first time Shedrach brought both of them to my house😊.
God bless you Shedrach, a lot of this would have been impossible without your kind efforts.

I remember how I would always go to their house for the first few weeks to teach them chess and basic literacy. She had been a victim of sexual abuse from a 40year old pedophile in that community.

It was on this day I swore to be a part of lives and keep them safe forever.

Odunayo had been through such a turbulent childhood that we had to put her through 3 months of therapy and counseling before she could trust/talk to anyone again.

She’s now growing into a young confident Lady who loves to play chess and video games.

She’s also very interested in the Arts and is an active member of the cultural dance club in her school and church.

Her dream is to be a performer and she once told me that Lateef Adedimeji (Ayinla)was her favorite actor.

So i invited him to come tell her those dreams are valid😊

Odunayo and her brother lived with me for the first one year since I adopted both of them, but after sometime I realized she needed motherly care that I couldn’t give. My Mum took on that responsibility and she has lived with my parents in Ibadan ever since then.

Back in January, she was involved in a terrible Car accident on her way back from school and was in ICU for weeks.

This moment broke me and my parents.

It was a scary time for all of us,as an act of kindness could have easily become a dark story of regret if she had lost her life”
