Dr. Joseph Chukwu, a lecturer at the Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu Alike Nigeria, has gone viral online after he presented his daughter his 37-year-old NYSC shirt, that was still in a good condition.
The lecturer said he passed it down to his daughter in order to augment her kits as she’s almost ready for her own youth service.
Sharing the photos, he wrote ;
37 years ago, 12th batch, 1984/85, I was issued this NYSC ceremonial dress during my youth service.
Today, I am passing down this 37-year old shirt to my daughter to augument with her kits as she proceeds for her youth service shortly.
In a new report, Nigerian singing sensation, Wizkid‘s summer jam “Essence” which features songstress, Tems, has emerged as the “most Shazamed” song in the United States.
The singer’s latest feat shows the massive global recognition his song has been receiving since it was released off his fourth studio album, Made in Lagos album in October last year.

Nigerian-American singer and actor, Rotimi, has shared some events that happened between he and his lover, Tanzanian music star, Vanessa Mdee before he proposed to her.
Rotimi in an interview with Angie Martinez Show on Power 105.1 disclosed that he proposed to Vanessa because he was tired of being in the streets.
According to him, long before the proposal, six days after they first met they went through their phones and deleted any other love interests that were there before.
“Being engaged feels like a mixture of everything. I was tired of being in the streets.
“I had a good time…but like I got tired of it and she just literally made me have tunnel vision. I never had that. I was always just moving. But that was just like slow down, this is serious. You need to respect it.

Nollywood actress, Onyi Alex has said it is a sin for any broke man to profess that he’s in love with her.

Big Brother Naija shine ya eye housemate, Pere has remained in the Big Brother house after he survived eviction last night.
Pere who was up for possible eviction alongside five other housemates, Maria, JMK, Sammie, Queen and Cross. While his love interest, Maria left the house, he(Pere) got enough votes from his fans to keep him in Big Brother’s house.
Moments after the live eviction show, Whitemoney in a conversation with Pere noted that it was possible that the big fight which ensued between them weeks ago boosted pere’s fanbase.
“Keep playing your game and keep being you. That incident that happened between us boosted your fanbase. It was a 50-50 thing. So keep being Pere”. Whitemoney said.
Meanwhile, Maria’s eviction from the house came as a shock to the housemates as well as viewers of the show, while consoling Pere on the departure of his love interest, Maria, Whitemomey noted that she’s a strong woman and the game has just started for the actor.
In his words,
“Maria is fine. She is a strong woman. Maria is one of the strongest women I know. She’s strong physically, spiritually and otherwise. Would you rather go home so that she stays?
“Is now that your game in the house started. You are now a confirmed housemate. Before now, you were just here eating free food and wearing free clothes.
“Your fanbase is basically women. You have this thing …I don’t know how to explain it… that attracts women to you. So even if you are killing them they’ll still be coming to you”.
Last night, Big Brother Naija show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, asked some critical questions at the housemates based on their actions over the week, an action which is now fondly called “table shaking” by viewers.
He started by asking Saga questions, Ebuka said, ”You missed the dairy session because you were busy cuddling with a woman. Should we change Big Brother’s voice to Nini’s voice, maybe you’ll answer that?”
Reacting to his question, Saga claimed that it happened so fast. He added that he wanted to wear his shirt but ran out of time. Saga apologized to Ebuka.
Reacting to his apology, Ebuka said, “Don’t apologies to me, I am not Big Brother.”

A fan sent in a tweet where they erroneously assumed that Toni Tone could speak Yoruba as they credited her amazing performance in the currently trending Netflix limited series.
Quoting the tweet in response, the actress revealed that she had to learn the language because of her role in the movie and had no understanding of what she was saying.
According to her, Mr. Dele Adetiba, the director of the movie, Kemi Adetiba’s father was her tutor who shared a message with Kemi who shared it with her about her dad’s pride at Toni’s grasp for the language.

Big Brother Naija ‘shine ya eyes’ housemate, Saga, seems to be gradually ‘shining his eyes’ on the situation of things between him and his love interest, Nini.
It is already common knowledge that Nini has a serious relationship outside the house, but earlier on, that did not prevent Saga from making known, his intentions to be with the Edo beauty.

Sunday night’s eviction saw the escape of housemates, Queen, Cross and Pere, with the trio having the most votes from viewers after last week’s nominations process.
For Queen and Cross, their fellow housemate, WhiteMoney’s fan base seem to have had a hand in ensuring their prolonged stay in the Big Brother house.
Their respective social media handlers took to the comment section of WhiteMoney’s page to show appreciation for his tremendous support in keeping their candidates in the house.

The acknowledgement of Queen and Cross’ respective social media handlers of WhiteMoney’s influence in keeping their favourite in the house has caused many to ponder on the incredible force that is WhiteMoney.
For him to not be nominated and his fans were able to support to keep two housemates who clearly had the larger percentage of the previous week’s voting shows that he’s indeed a force to reckon with.
A young Nigerian lady has opined that the organizers of the Big Brother Naija reality show should invite pastors and gospel singers to the show on Sundays for worship.
According to her, the worship should be scheduled for at least 30 minutes with pastors and gospel singers invited to fellowship with the housemates.
In her words ;
“On a Sunday like this, Big Brother should at least have 30 minutes time of worship with the housemates; invite pastors like Paul of House on The Rock, Jerry Eze, Apostle Suleiman. And they can also invite gospel music ministers like Mercy Chinwo, Team Godfrey, Nathaniel Bassey. I think it will attract more views from the religious ones. I can even come and minister for free.”
Media personality and former reality star, Uti Nwachukwu has sympathized with former ‘shine ya eyes’ housemate, Maria after she was evicted from the ongoing reality TV show.
Recall that Maria was evicted alongside JMK and Sammie.
In his reaction, Uti Nwachukwu revealed that he’s shocked to hear of her eviction as he opines that she was milked dry on the show.
He wrote;

When Big Brother Naija Live show host, Ebuka held an envelope for the third eviction on the sixth Sunday night of the sixth season of the show, not many guessed that housemate, Maria’s name was written on the piece of paper.
So it came as a shock to many viewers when Ebuka announced Maria as the next housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house… even her fellow housemates were stunned by her removal from the show.
This caused a number of people to take to social media to react to the rather surprising eviction with many of them theorizing that it’s probably a fake eviction and that Big Brother probably has something up his sleeves.
For more of those who were stunned by her removal, some questioned why Maria who’s perceived to be one of the most dramatic housemates of the sixth season will be evicted before those who are less dramatic and display close to boring content in the house.

Big Brother Naija ‘shine ya eyes’ housemate, Queen, has subtly celebrated the eviction of fellow housemate, Maria.
Both Queen and Maria were up for eviction, alongside JMK, Sammie, Cross and Pere.
We reported earlier that the trio of Maria, JMK and Sammie were evicted, and surprisingly, Queen was saved, despite the perceived notion that she has less fans than Maria.
Now, recall that Queen and Maria weren’t exactly best of friends in the house, so it would naturally mean one would be happy to see the other leave.
Without hiding her joy at the outcome of this week’s voting which ultimately led to Maria’s eviction, Queen broke into a ‘victory dance’ and declared that her confidence is at the highest, seemingly after seeing Maria leave.
The live show of tonight saw the eviction of three housemates, JMK, Sammie, and Maria out of the six housemates, who were nominated earlier in the week.
JMK, Sammie, Queen, Pere, Cross and Maria were all up for eviction this week and fans were given the opportunity to vote and keep their favourite housemate in the house.
Unfortunately, the bottom three, JMK, Sammie and Maria were evicted from the show cause they had the least votes. Here’s how viewers voted for their favourite housemates this week. Pere had 14.17%, followed by Maria with 13.73% and then Sammie with 10.21% and the least votes were for JMK with 4.64%.
With the latest three evicted from the Big Brother house, and five evicted in the previous weeks, and also one housemate excused from the show because of his health, meaning nine housemates are out of the house, just 13 housemates are left to vie for the grand prize worth 90 million till the end of the sixth season of the show.
A pastor has taken to advise women against wearing high heels are not godly.
According to Pastor Gideon Akande, men who get a certain popular haircut are also not godly and could end up on hell.

BBNaija: Shine Ya Eye housemate, Angel has shared how in past times, she’s turned down the request of celebrities begging for a relationship with her.
The 21-year-old disclosed this during a recent conversation she had with fellow housemate, Michael.
While talking to him, she noted that her DM (Direct Message) used to be flooded with a number of celebrities in the entertainment industry begging her for hook-ups, but she hasn’t given them any positive response.
“I have had some celebrities come to my DM (Direct Message) to toast me but I would not date anyone in the industry!
“I always turn them down in my DM,” Angel said
Angel however didn’t reveal the names of the celebrities during the discussion. Responding to this, Michael noted that she would definitely date them when she meets them in reality after the show.
In what appears to be a surprising twist in the BBNaija: Shine Ya Eye show, housemate Pere who has in past times, been at loggerheads with fellow housemate, Whitemoney, revealed that he’s beginning to like WhiteMoney.
It should be recalled that both gentlemen have had a number of quarrelling episodes where they’ve barely agreed with each other which led to their fellow housemates and viewers choosing sides between the both of them.

Well, last night during the Old school dance, Pere who walked up to WhiteMoney has disclosed that the more he gets to know him, the more he gets to like.
Shine Ya Eye housemate, Pere has shown he’s never going to be afraid of saying it anywhere, anytime, that his fellow female housemate, Maria fingered herself and after, put her fingers in his mouth to suck on her juice.
In a recent chat with Angel, Pere is heard recapping on the sexual episode he had with Maria. He told Angel that Maria is mentally not okay for acting like nothing ever happened between them, saying that she tells lies and believes her own lies.

I get the fact that she doesn’t want anyone to know what happened between us but if I and you(Maria) are having a conversation, you know that we are in a place that’s monitored and the camera probably caught us in the act. Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson‘s husband, Prince Okojie seems to want more children to the already four he has with his wife.
Mercy Johnson, whose birthday is today took to her page to share a video of her husband and her brother-in-laws celebrating her as she turns a year older.

Big Brother Naija ‘shine ya eyes’ housemate, JMK, has averred that she won’t be entirely unhappy if she leaves the house after tomorrow’s live eviction.
JMK is one of the housemates currently up for eviction, and having spent up to three weeks in the house, it seem as though she is satisfied with the fun she’s had so far.
She had a discussion with Emmanuel and Yousef and she said the winner is already guaranteed and it’ll be better for her to leave earlier to start her life.
She said ;
The winner don dey, they already know who they want, so if i leave now and go and start my life, it will be good for me.
In the grand scheme of things, I am not saying I don’t wanna stay longer but if I were to leave, I will start my life (after BBNaija) earlier.
She also hinted that the reality show has caused emotional stress for her.
Legendary Nigerian Singer and Guitarist, Sir Victor Uwaifo has died, close sources to the family have confirmed to The Nation.
Victor Uwaifo died after a brief illness.
The singer recently celebrated his 80th birthday in March with friends and family all around him, celebrating his new age.
The ‘Guitar boy’ as he was fondly called is the first professional musician to be awarded with the National Merit Honors of Member of the Order of the Niger (MON).
Uwaifo was also the first Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism in Nigeria.
