Veteran actor, Deji Aderemi popularly known as Olofa Ina, has stated that having sex with each other is a normal thing in the Yoruba movie industry and no successful actress can claim that she has never been f**ked.
The thespian stated this while defending his embattled colleague, Baba Ijesha, at the Lagos State Special Offences Court in Lagos.
Aderemi was moved to tears as he laid hefty curses on those who “ganged up against Baba Ijesha”. According to him, the issue could have been settled amicably, but they just wanted to disgrace Baba Ijesha.
Speaking to newsmen at the court, the veteran said,
“I am here in court because they said somebody slept with someone. This is a normal thing in our industry. If this person has done something wrong, they should reprimand him rather than laying false accusations against him.
There is no successful actress that will say she has not been slept with in our industry. I have never seen such actress. They now planned against Baba Ijesha. This issue hurts me so much. I know it will never end well with them.

A Nigerian skincare specialist has been gifted N2.5 million by her man for saying “YES” to his marriage proposal.

The Enugu state born lady identified as Dr. Ejim Chinazom Judith, studied Medicine & Surgery at the University of Nigeria Nsukka where she bagged an MBBS certificate.

Human rights activist and speaker at Edo civil society group, Talakawa’s Parliament, Kola Edkpayi, has reacted to the murder of the Chief Executive Officer of Super TV, Michael Usifo Ataga, by a 21-year-old UNILAG student, Chidinma Adaora Ojukwu.
The activist stated that polygamy is the only solution for extra-marital affairs and should be legalized just as homosexuality has gained acceptance in different parts of the world.
According to him, this kind of unfortunate stories can be avoided if a man is allowed to marry more than one wife.
“Polygamy is the only way out of this kind of emotional madness. They are against polygamy while they legalized homosexualism and lesbianism. We say yes to polygamy and no to side chickism. With polygamy, you can eat the food without fear.”

Big Brother Naija star, Lucy Edet has spoken about her physical fight with colleague, Kaisha on last night’s episode of the reunion show.
The duo had an heated argument last night over an issue that happened outside the house involving Kaisha’s mother. While addressing the matter an angry Kaisha threw a pillow at Lucy and this led to a physical fight.

A Nigerian woman, Kemisola Kesh, and her best friend, Sugar Pearl, have reportedly been killed in a fatal car crash that happened in Abuja on Wednesday, June 23.
According to reports, there was another person in the car and he was seriously injured in the ghastly accident. He has been identified as Khalifa Floki, and is said to be Kemi’s boyfriend.
According to one Gama Floki, Khalifa survived the crash but he is currently in coma.
Details of the accident are still sketchy at the time of filing this report, except for a graphic video of the crash.
Meanwhile, friends of the deceased have taken to Facebook to mourn their demise, while also praying for the speedy recovery of Khalifa.
The father of Chidinma, the 21-year-old UNILAG student who reportedly murdered the Chief Executive Officer of Super TV, Usifo Ataga has been arrested.
Chidinma is a 300-level student of the Mass Communication Department of the University and she was arrested in connection of the murder of the business man.
Punchng.com reports that Chidinma’s father was also arrested for violently resisting the arrest of his daughter when the police visited their home on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 to pick her up.
The police source who spoke on condition of anonymity to Punch revealed that Chidinma father stated that he did not believe that his daughter had committed any crime until she confessed on Thursday, adding that he was being detained at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Panti, Yaba.
“She (Chidinma) stays with her dad. Her dad and mom don’t live together. Her father was arrested on Wednesday because he resisted his daughter’s arrest. He never believed that his daughter committed any crime until Thursday. He is at Panti as we speak, but he was not paraded today (Thursday),” the source said.
Meanwhile, lecturers and students of the Department of Mass Communication, University of Lagos, are reacting to the news of the murder. A lecturer in the department, who spoke to one of our correspondents on condition of anonymity said
“I know her (Chidinma) because of her beauty and innocent look. She is an introvert to the core. Left for her striking beauty, she is not likely to be noticed by anyone, because she doesn’t talk in class.”
Another lecturer also confirmed that Chidinma is a 300-level student in the department.
“Yes, in our group chats, where there are several professors, it was confirmed that she is a 300-level part time student of Mass Communication, UNILAG,” the lecturer said
One of the classmates, who spoke on condition of anonymity said.
“Yes, she (Chidinma) is a 300-level part time student of Mass Communication. I know her, but we are not on talking terms; she doesn’t interact with many people. She is a recluse.
She is a cool girl, who comes for lectures and leaves afterwards; she has few friends, who she talks to. I don’t really know much about her.”
Another student said he had not seen her in the current semester, adding that their lectures could not hold on Thursday as the lecturers did not turn up.
“I have not seen her this semester since we resumed on May 10. We were supposed to have lectures today, but the lecturers did not come. Likewise, her issue has been a major topic on our WhatsApp platform; it was a chaotic debate as members took sides,” he said.
Chidinma while being paraded by the police, recounted how she stabbed the deceased thrice. She said late Ataga became violent after she turned down his request for more sex, adding that she stabbed him under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
“I checked for the place we lodged in online on Sunday and sent the details to him and he paid. On Monday, we were together drinking and smoking, we had fun and so I went to get food. On Tuesday, he was trying to make advances at me, but I was tired and he became violent and forced his way and I gave in.
In the afternoon, we smoked and ate. We became high and I wasn’t happy with the first round of sex; so, I was on my own smoking, drinking and eating my food when he came to me, while I was watching a movie.
“I told him I was not happy with what he did the first time. I told him he was not assisting me with anything, but was playing around with me. He told me to take his ATM card and withdraw any amount I wanted and gave me the PIN, but I told him that was not what I meant.
So, he became violent; I was defending myself and at some point, he hit my head on the wall and I retaliated. He was choking me and I was on the kitchen cabinet, so I stretched out and grabbed a knife and stabbed him twice in the neck and once in the stomach.”
She said when Ataga became weak, she fled the apartment and withdrew money from his account for her school fees.
“We smoked SK and Loud. While he was lying there, I changed my cloth, looked for the key from where he kept it, and left the room. When I left, I didn’t reach out to anybody. I didn’t feel good about what I did.
I withdrew N380,000 and not N5m from his account. I feel a lot of remorse. I wanted to use the money I withdrew to pay my school fees. I felt disappointed when the police arrested me at my parents’ house and it was when I was arrested around 10pm that my parents got to know about the incident.
I live with my parents; I left home on Sunday and told them that I was going for ushering job. I used the foreign number I generated in texting the owner of the apartment.”she said

A Nigerian lady, identified as Lois Enanushe Amos, has died six weeks after she tied the knot with her husband, Allanana Israel Alu.
Lios, who was the daughter of former supervisory Councilor for Agriculture of Karu Local Government Council, Nasarawa State, ASP Amos Akaito (Rtd), got married on Saturday, May 8, 2021 in Keffi, Nasarawa State.

The Commissioner of Police in Lagos state, Hakeem Odumosu, has officially briefed the press on the case of a 21-year-old UNILAG student, Chidinma Adaora Ojukwu, who was earlier today paraded for allegedly killing the Chief Executive Officer of Super TV, Michael Usifo Ataga. (Read here)
According to the police boss, Chidinma conspired with some other persons who are currently now at large to carry out the crime.
A statement released by the spokesperson of the state police command, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Odumosu disclosed this while parading the suspect.
The statement reads ;
A case of murder was transferred from Maroko Division of the Command to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti Yaba, for discreet investigation.
The fact of the case is that, on 15/06/21 at about 1700hrs, one Chidimma Adaora Ojukwu, a 300 level, undergraduate of the University of Lagos, conspired with others, now at Large, and allegedly murdered one Michael Usifo Ataga, m, 50, by stabbing him severally with a sharp object at a Short Service Apartment, situated at No 19, Adewale Oshin Street, Lekki, phase 1, Lagos.
The prime suspect, Chidinma, who had earlier booked for the apartment on 13/6/21 secretly, left the apartment after the deed had been done on 15/6/21 at about 1730hrs.
The suspect was tracked and arrested in her resident at No. 57, Akinwunmi Street, Alagomeji, Yaba-Lagos. During search, the prime suspect and Mass Communication Student of the University of Lagos, was caught with a blood-soaked cloth, ostensibly worn on the day of the incident.
The suspect confessed to have stabbed the deceased with a kitchen knife after a struggle. She further confessed to have taken the knife away while leaving the scene and disposed same in a dust bin at her residence.
It has also been revealed that the suspect equally stole the deceased iPhone.
Investigation is ongoing to arrest other accomplices.
Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe has revealed that she’s still “legally married” to her estranged husband, Lanre Gentry.
The mother of two made this revelation in a recent interview with Punch, while she appealed to the public to help her beg Lanre to sign their divorce papers.
According to Mercy, her former husband who she has repeatedly called out on social media, accusing him of being a deadbeat father has refused to sign their divorce papers although they’ve been separated for a while now.

I don’t know the legal term for this but my lawyer had to appeal to the court for them to permit us to paste the papers on his gate. That is what they did to him.
Four appearances and this man refused to show up before the court went on strike. Now that the courts have resumed, the case is back to court. He has refused to even show up”.

A 21-year-old student of the University of Lagos identified as Chidinma, has been arrested and paraded for allegedly killing the Chief Executive Officer, Super TV, Usifo Ataga, in Lagos.
Recall that some days ago, news made the rounds that the SUPER TV boss was murdered in a Lekki Apartment, and the suspect also used his ATM cards to withdraw funds from his account after the gruesome act.
Chidinma has now given some closure as to why she committed the crime.
She told newsmen ;
We were in the lodge smoking. He was trying to make advances on me. I was tired and he became violent on it. I let him have his way. Towards afternoon, he ordered roofies. We took it together and ate food. He became high. I was still not happy with the first one (sex) that we had, so, I was staying on my own, smoking and drinking. He, too, was on his own.
“He came to me and I was like I am not happy with what he did. I was like, ‘You don’t help me, you don’t assist me with anything, you are just playing with me around’. He was like, ‘Take my ATM and withdraw what you want’.
“He later became violent trying to get to me and I was resisting and defending myself. At some point, he hit my head on the wall and I also retaliated.
“At some point, he was chasing me around the kitchen cabinet. I took a knife and stabbed his neck. I approached the door and he followed me. I stabbed him twice on the neck side. I threw the knife to the bed and he was going for it but I also went for it. He dragged the knife with me and it broke and he fell on the floor.”
It’s believed that the mistress carried out the murder as security guards at the rentals confirmed that no third party had visited the lovers besides a dispatch rider, who is suspected to have brought the lethal drug to the mistress.
Actor, Omiyinka Olanrewaju James otherwise known as Baba Ijesha, has pleaded not guilty to the sexual assault and abuse of a minor charges filed against him.
The embattled thespian Baba is currently being arraigned before the Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo-led court and during the court proceedings, counsel to the Lagos state government, Olayinka Adeyemi, informed the court that the state had filed six-count charges against the defendant urging the court to take his plea.
However, Baba Ijesha pleaded not guilty to all the charges levelled against him. The state counsel then asked for a trial date while asking the court to remand the defendant in a correctional facility pending commencement of trial.
The actor’s legal team which had among it two Senior Advocates of Nigeria, Mr. Babatunde Ogala and Mr. Dada Awosika, along with 17 others, informed the court that they had filed a bail application and have served same on the prosecuting team. Ogala urged the court to grant them an audience to argue the bail application.
Recall that in April Baba Ijesha was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting comedienne, Princess 14-year-old foster daughter since she was 7.
