Disgraced Nigerian actor, James Olanrewaju aka Baba Ijesha, will be charged to court, and he might be likely to get life imprisonment.
According to a statement by the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice Moyosore Onigbanjo, said the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) issued legal advice on Tuesday that a prima facie case has been disclosed against Olarenwaju.
It was recommended he should be charged under the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. “James is to be tried under section 135 – indecent treatment of a child- punishable by seven years imprisonment; section 137 – defilement of a child – punishable by life imprisonment; section 261- sexual assault by penetration – punishable by life imprisonment; section 262- attempted sexual assault by penetration – punishable by 14 years imprisonment and section 263 – sexual assault- punishable by three years imprisonment.
While the state would ensure James’ rights as enshrined in the constitution are upheld, the Ministry of Justice would not relent in its efforts at ensuring that whoever sexually abuses any resident of Lagos is speedily brought to book.”

A popular cleric on Facebook known as Goodheart Val Aloysius, has taken to his platform to call out his colleague, Prophet Odumeje.

Nollywood actress, Opeyemi Aiyeola, has taken to social media to recount how she narrowly escaped death, following self medication.
According to the actress, who urged her fans to endeavor to always read medication leaflets, she was guilty of self-medication and it almost caused her her life.
In a video she shared on her Instagram page, the actress revealed she was at a movie set in Lagos when she suddenly developed some symptoms and assumed she could be suffering from malaria.
She put a call to a doctor, who prescribed a medication for her, she took the drugs without reading the mini leaflet in the tablet, to be aware of the side effects.
According to her, after taking the first dose of the medication, she reacted to the drugs but still drove to a movie set from her house in Ogun State to Lagos.
At the movie set she passed out several times, before she was eventually rushed to the hospital. On getting to the hospital Opeyemi was diagnosed with another ailment and not malaria which she assumed she had and was taking medications for.

Umoh Uduak, the close friend who raised an alarm after her friend Iniubong Umoren who was searching for a Job, went missing, has given first-hand account of the incident leading up to Ini’s murder and the aftermath.

Three young men have been arrested over alleged homosexual act in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue state.
The youths were caught in the act by residents of Zone HB community on Monday, May 3, and handed them over to the president of an NGO, Comrade Chris Ogah, who eventually turned them in to the police for prosecution.

A 10-year-old Nigerian Refugee in the US identified as Tani Adewumi, has officially become a national chess master.
Tani, whose family fled Nigeria over Boko Haram crisis, came into limelight in 2019 after winning the 2019 New York chess championship while living in a homeless center on religious asylum.
Tani’s found consistent success and it was announced earlier in the year that he will compete in the Chess Club of Fairfield County (CCFC).
The competition held on May 1 and Tani snagged the national title.

Billionaire daughter and singer, Florence Otedola better known as DJ Cuppy, has given a savage response to a troll who said he cant stand her anymore.
The popular Nigerian singer had taken to the micro-blogging platform, Twitter to share a video of her new dogs shortly after she took delivery of them.
A follower in reaction expressed disgust at the post and stated that he cannot stand Cuppy anymore.
“I cannot stand Cuppy anymore.” The troll tweeted.
Cuppy who wasn’t having any of it, dished a savage response to the troll, she advised him to sit if really cant stand her anymore.

This is coming after Cuppy took to social media to share how she handled rejections in her career, while she advised her fans and followers to never give up.
According to the popular Nigerian disc jockey, for every ‘Yes’ she has ever gotten in her career, she has been turned down several times.
Cuppy who revealed she has now gotten used to rejection after she has been tuned down countless times, advised people to stop waiting for things to happen but make them happen.
