Love was celebrated in a grand style yesterday as the world celebrated the feast of Saint Valentine and there have been so many beautiful stories going viral on social media.

Love can be defined as an unbreakable bond that was epitomized by the action of a 93-year-old grandpa’ whose love still burns for his wife.

The ‘lover-boy’ made the appropriate provision to make sure his woman got a gift on Valentine’s day and one can only wonder what he must have been doing consistently in the past years.

His Grand-daughter took to her Twitter page to share the romantic story.

Sharing the lovely photo on her page, she wrote ;

Nigerian Man Expresses Undying Love for American Pop Singer, Enisa In Love Letter; She Reacts

A Nigerian man has dumped his fears and professed his undying love in an open letter to an American musician on Valentine’s Day.

Using the old way of expressing love with the new, the man with the handle @SMiTHie_ took to Twitter to tell his crush, an American singer, Enisa Nikaj how much he loves her.

In the open letter which has gone viral, @SMiTHie_ expressed his undying love for Enisa and how he hoped to meet her someday despite the apparent distance between them.

He went on to call her by the Yoruba name she adopted – Eniola – and maintained that though another Val may have come and gone, his love for her remained.

Enisa on sighting the tweet with the handwritten letter gave a reply.

She described his handwriting as incredible and added that the letter is adorable and sweet.


Her response has generated huge reactions from her Nigerian fan base and others who came across the viral tweet.

@DanielRegha commented:

“No disrespect to anyone but it’s a p!ty that with the numerous problems facing Nigeria on a daily, majority still preoccupy themselves with unimp¤rtant things. Everyone should use his or her voice to create awareness, cruise or clout chasing won’t better Nigeria. Lend ur voice.”

In her reaction, the woman told Ifeanyi that she’s married. She wrote:

“I prefer pictures of birds to boys, although I’m tempted to put this picture on my refrigerator next to the Dr….My husband would be very confused. (We’re very happily married – he doesn’t mind some teasing)”.

Former BBNaija housemate, Nengi Rebecca Hampson has been vindicated after a photo of her original certificate from the University of Port Harcourt surfaced on social media.

Recall that months ago, the reality TV star and beauty queen revealed that she graduated with a second class upper division from the university, situated in Rivers state, in 2019.

According to her, she was among the 20 students that graduated with a second class upper division, in a class of 500 students.

In her words, “I graduated with 2:1. We were 500 people in my department.”

However, some trolls dragged the 22-year-old for claiming that she graduated in 2019. Some netizens also expressed doubt in her statement that she graduated with a second class upper.

The brand ambassador has now backed her statement with proof as she shared a photo of her original certificate.

Actress, Rosy Meurer has finally reacted following several backlash on social media, after her marriage to Tonto Dikeh’s ex-husband Churchill went public.

Recall the estranged husband of the popular Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh officially announced his rumoured “side-chick” as his wife on her birthday, today, February 15th.

Following the announcement Rosy has received several backlash on social media with many tagging her “husband snatcher”.

Netizens went as as far as digging out an old video of her blatantly denying having an affair with Tonto Dikeh’s estranged husband, Olukunle Churchill.

In the video the Gambian-born Nigerian actress stated that it was impossible for her to be in a romantic relationship with Churchill as he’s like a brother to her.

In reaction to the heavy backlash, Rosy has now taken to her verified Instagram page to state that everyone is entitled to their opinions, noting that only God can judge her.

In her words,

20 suspected internet fraudsters arrested in Imo, phones, laptops, exotic cars recovered (photos)

Twenty suspected internet fraudsters have been arrested by the operatives of the Port Harcourt Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

The suspects were arrested on Friday, February 12, 2021, at New Owerri, Eminike Estate, Norble Abode, Owerri, Imo State.

The suspects are: Onyebuchi Victor, Isreal Victor, Emeka Clinton, Stanley Uche, Onyemachi Stanley, Ikechukwu Agbalieze, Franklin Ugoegbu, Nze Collins, Nwokoro Santus, and Agocha Johnson.

Others are: Oscar Anumata, Emeka Clinton Nkeoga, Ogwu Chukwu Akagha Marvis, Victor Obioha, Charles Onymesi, Awunnaya Victor, Henry Stephni, Jerrard Uwaima, Franklin Uzoma and Obidike Abuchi.

In a statement, the agency said the recovered from the suspects: Forty (40) mobile phones, seventeen (17) laptops of different brands, and six (6) vehicles: one (1) blue-coloured Toyota Corolla car; one (1) black-coloured Acura ZX car; one (1) ash-colored Lexus GX 460 Sports Utility Vehicle; one (1) green- coloured Venza car, one (1) black-coloured Mercedes Benz car and one (1) ash-coloured Lexus 330 SUV.

Others are thirteen (13) Powers of Attorney, five (5) architectural documents, and a folder containing some other documents.

Police Arrest Man For Using Pistol To Threaten A Female Prostitute In Lagos

A man identified as Peter Arinola has been arrested by police operatives attached to Surulere Division of the Lagos state police command at the Empire Area in Surulere for using an English Pistol to threaten a prostitute while negotiating and harassing her for sex.

According to the police public relations officer in the state, Muyiwa Adejobi, the suspect intended to use the pistol to intimidate the lady to agree to his terms and the amount he wanted to pay, but the lady insisted on certain amount of money.

The PPRO said Peter brought out the pistol and wanted to force the lady to have sex with him.

The lady raised alarm and Peter was overpowered and arrested by the people around the brothel.

”The police swung into action and further investigation revealed that the suspect used to assist an armed robber (name withheld) to keep the pistol for operations. The police later recovered 5 rounds of ammunition in the room of the lady during the course of their investigation.

The Commissioner of Police has ordered that the owner of the pistol and suspected armed robber, who is at large, be apprehended by all means and brought to book, Adejobi said.

Nigerian Air Force personnel, Abubakar, was reportedly shot dead by suspected bandits exactly three weeks to his wedding.

It was gathered that the deceased, Abubakar, was among the NAF personnel killed during a gun duel with armed bandits at Ungwan Laya near Birnin Gwari on Saturday, February 13th.

The bereaved family who took to Facebook to mourn his death, revealed the officer was set to get married in three weeks time and had shared his prewedding photos.

Abubakar was buried in his hometown in Ungwan Dosa, Kaduna North, Kaduna State at 4:pm on Sunday, February 14th.

Recall that troops of the 271 Nigerian Air Force (NAF) foiled an ambush by a group of armed bandits at Ungwan Laya near Birnin Gwari, killing many of them.

The NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Ibikunle Daramola, disclosed in a statement in Abuja that some NAF personnel were killed during the operation while a few others sustained varying degrees of injuries.

Church members lock pastor out of church for preaching strange doctrine in Benue

Members of a popular church in Makurdi, Benue State, reportedly locked their pastor out of the church and stopped him from conducting the Sunday service, yesterday, February 14th.

It was gathered that the members of the church simply identified as NKST, locked their pastor alongside his supporters out of the church.

The displeased members who were reportedly uncomfortable with the pastor’s methods and teachings asked him to vacate his seat and leave the church on Valentines day.

According to a report by The Nation, the resident pastor was accused of preaching and living some strange doctrines.

Worshippers who turned up for Sunday service were also stranded as they could not get into the church premises.

Nigerian singer-songwriter, Chinedu Okoli professionally known as Flavour N’abania, has revealed that he lost his virginity at 24.

The 37-year-old singer made this disclosure in an exclusive interview with popular TV host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on Bounce Radio.

Speaking during the interview, Flavour opened up on issues pertaining to his family, love life and his music career.

The media personality inquired about the age he lost his virginity and Flavour revealed that he didn’t have sexual intercourse with a woman, until he turned 24.

According to him, the reason was because before he started doing music, he served under a master who didn’t grant him access to women, television and alcohol.

Recounting the days of little beginning, the abule crooner who shared their epic throwback photos revealed that ten years after they met, came “MON BÉBÉ”.

Patoranking recently featured Flavour in his latest hit single “Mon Bebe”, a collaboration which according to him came ten years after they met.

Nicki Minaj’s father, Robert Maraj, has reportedly died after being involved in a hit-and-run accident.

According to a TMZ report, Nicki’s father was hit by a vehicle while he was walking on the road in Mineola on Long Island, on Friday evening, February 12.

The Nassau County Police in New York stated that the driver then fled the scene without a meaningful description from witnesses. Following the accident, Robert was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries and passed on Saturday, February 13.

This comes after a popular blogger alleged that Rosy Meurer is heavily pregnant for the businessman and the lovers were spotted somewhere outside the country.

United Kingdom-based Nigerian activist, Adetutu Balogun has slammed Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye for preaching unity in Nigeria while still holding a grudge with his twin brother, Paul Okoye a.k.a Rudeboy.

The lambasting of the entertainer comes amidst an impending tribal war in Ibadan, Oyo state between the Yoruba people and the Hausas over a clash that led to the loss of property over the weekend.

In reaction to the development, Peter Okoye took to his Twitter page to preach peace while using himself as an example of marrying a Yoruba woman despite being an Igbo.

“I am an Igbo man, married to a Yoruba woman. I grew up in the north, schooled in the north, started my career in North. And today i speak Hausa language fluently.

Please this Ethnicity, Tribalism and Racism has to Stop!!! Haba! What is going on? #StopTheBloodShed,” he wrote.

In reaction, the activist lambasted him for being a hypocrite as a result of the beef with his twin brother Rudeboy.
