Popular Nigerian rapper, Ikechukwu is officially off the market as he finally engages his girlfriend, Brunella Oscar.

The actor took to his Instagram yesterday to announce his engagement to his partner.

In the post, he showed of the diamond ring he presented to her, with the caption, “She said yes”.

This comes two months after he gave hint to his relationship with the unnamed woman. “Help me pray for next level cos we no hide again”.

He wrote;

Sometimes we want something so bad we keep it under wraps and quiet as possible cos of our industry or people and they way things get destroyed while out of ur control. Recall that two months ago, the actor revealed the love of his life to his social media family and explained the reason why he kept his relationship a secret.
Taking to his Instagram page, he said he kept it under wraps for fear of what the world could do to scatter them but has now overcame that fear and more confident of what he shares with the lady. His plight is quite understandable as social media can be quite scary.

The rapper, however, did not disclose any personal details about his woman or share a closer shot of her face, which makes it difficult to identify her.

His post reads,

I am happy without marriage, kids – Don Jazzy reveals

Popular Nigerian label boss, Michael Collins Ajere, professionally known as Don Jazzy has said he is happy without marriage and kids.

The iconic music producer said that contrary to many people’s belief, he is happy not being married at this point in his life.

Don Jazzy stated this during an interview with The PUNCH, while speaking on the level of fulfilment he feels.

According to him, his business is doing well and family is comfortable, so the believe that he is not happy about not being married and not having children is untrue.

The music producer noted that he is very happy currently and would only start missing children sometime in the future.

When asked if he feels fulfilled, he said;

“Pretty much, yes. I am doing well and I have a beautiful business. My family is healthy and comfortable. I know a lot of people would say because I am not married and don’t have children, that means I am not happy.

“But, I am very happy (laughs). I am not missing anything. Perhaps, in the future, I would start missing little children but for now, I am actually fine. I feel fulfilled and grateful. I thank God.”

ASUU reportedly agrees to call off strike as FG agrees to pay the union N70bn

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has finally agreed to call off its strike which has been going on for 8 months.

ASUU leadership agreed to call the strike off during a meeting with the government team led by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, on Friday, Nov 27, in Abuja.

The Federal Government also pledged to increase the total payment to the union to N70 billion.

This comes one week after the FG accepted the demand by the ASUU that they be exempted from the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has agreed to call off its eight-month-old strike after the Federal Government offered to pay the lecturers N70 billion.

Instagram influencer and model, Gift Camille (thacutegemini) has shared her experience in her physically and emotionally abusive relationship with her ex-boyfriend, Lil Frosh.

Actress, Somkele shares touching video, opens up for first time about her son’s cancer diagnosis

Multi talented Nigerian actress, Somkele Iyamah has taken to social media to reveal that her son was diagnosed with cancer exactly three years ago.

According to the actress, she received the call about her son’s cancer diagnosis at Banky W and Adesua Etomi’s white wedding in South Africa in 2017.

Somkele whose son is now cancer free, after 3 years of battling with the disease, took to her Instagram page today, November 26th to share the good news. Stating that she received the news that her son beat cancer, last week Monday and she chose to share the news today being Thanksgiving day in the US.

Sharing a touching video of her son’s cancer journey, she wrote,

“The past 3 years have been nothing short of a miracle with miracle after miracle after miracle. On Monday last week, we got the amazing news, nearly 5 months earlier than predicted, that our baby is certified #CancerFree!

“Where do I start to thank every single person who knew and supported us along the way. @sickkidstoronto you have a special place in heaven, Dr. Summit Gupta and your entire oncology team!! I’m holding back tears that are overwhelming!! This video is only a spec of dust in explaining this journey. But what I will tell you is this, there is a living God. Period!

Kwara-bound train kills 47 cows worth over N10m in Osun

A Kwara-bound train has crushed 47 cows worth over N10m to death in Osogbo, Osun state, when the coach detached from the train.

According to reports, the last coach of the train suddenly detached and ran over the cows.

The accident occurred at the back of the regional office of the Transmission Company of Nigeria, Powerline area on Wednesday, November 25 around 3pm.

Speaking to journalists, a herdsman identified as Rabiu Ismail, told journalists that the dead animals were worth over N 10m.

According to him, he and the other herdsmen were moving with their animals when they heard a loud noise as the coach detached from the train.

“We just heard a loud noise and the animals were moving not far from the rail line. Many of them were crushed. About 47 animals worth N10m were lost.” he lamented.

Nigeria ranked 3rd most terrorized country in the world

A new report released by the Global Terrorism Index (GTI) has ranked Nigeria, for the sixth consecutive year, as the third most terrorized country in the world.

The report which was released on Wednesday, November 25, ranked Afghanistan as the number one most terrorized country in the world, followed by Iraq. Syria, Somalia, and Yemen are ranked fourth, fifth, and sixth respectively.

The report however stated that terror-related incidents in Nigeria fell by 27% in the same period. This was attributed to a significant reduction in violence attributed to killer herdsmen.

“Despite an overall decline in terrorism, Boko Haram, Nigeria’s deadliest terrorist group, recorded an increase in terrorist activity mainly targeted at civilians. Terror-related deaths and incidents attributed to Boko Haram in Nigeria increased by 25 and 30% respectively from the prior year.

“In 2019, Boko Haram carried out 11 suicide bombings causing 68 fatalities. Suicide bombings accounted for 6% of all terror-related incidents by Boko Haram in 2019, marking an 89% decline from their peak in 2017,” the report read.

Other countries among the 10 most impacted by terrorism are Pakistan (seventh), India (eighth), the Democratic Republic of the Congo (ninth), and the Philippines (10th).

According to the report, Nigeria witnessed her worst terrorist attack in 2019 in Borno State, where at least 70 people were killed and 10 others wounded when assailants attacked at a funeral.

“In 2019, Boko Haram carried out 11 suicide bombings causing 68 fatalities. Suicide bombings accounted for 6% of all terror-related incidents by Boko Haram in 2019, marking an 89% decline from their peak in 2017.

Boko Haram was responsible for Nigeria’s deadliest terrorist attack in 2019 when assailants attacked a funeral in Badu, Borno

At least 70 people were killed and 10 others were wounded in the attack and ensuing clash. The two main factions of Boko Haram, the Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP) and the followers of Abubakar Shekau, are both engaged in an insurgency campaign against the Nigerian government.

She took to her social media handle to reach out to ladies who have suffered a miscarriage by sharing her personal experience.

In a tweet shared today November 26, the publisher stated that she has had a miscarriage and a near miscarriage and that the experience is bloody nasty.

She advised ladies not to feel they brought it on themselves and they should try to free themselves of the guilt

The girls are celebrating their 14th birthday and the United Bank of Africa (UBA) chairman shared photos of them and wrote,

Popular music executive, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has slammed a follower who advised him to give back to the people that made him rich.

The ‘FEM’ crooner had taken to Twitter to enlighten his followers on the secret to staying rich. According to him, staying rich is a very simple maths, as you just need to empower your circle.

He stated that when the people around you are equally rich, when you are in a financial crisis, they will help you get back on your feet.

He tweeted, “Wanna stay Rich ?? Empower your circle … simple maths”.

However, a follower with handle @dami_simplicity, lambasted the singer, asserting that he is the only one getting rich, while people around him are poor.

He went on to advise him to give back to the people who enriched him in the first place.

Ooni of Ife announces son’s name 8 days after his birth

Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has announced the name of his newborn baby and heir to the throne.

The monarch who took to his official Twitter page revealed that the prince was named 8th days after his birth, and in accordance with tradition.

According to Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the new born was named, “Tadenikawo, Adesoji, Aderemi, Eri-Ifeoluwasimi, Adeiwa, Inioluwa, Ademide, Adegbite, Diekoloreoluwa Ogunwusi Ojaja II.”

His tweet reads,

“In accordance with the traditional rites lasting for 21 days with today marking the 8th day, and in keeping to my promise of naming our first prince after my predecessor the 49th Ooni of Ife in the 3rd dynasty of Ife.

“Our prince is hereby named “Tadenikawo, Adesoji, Aderemi, Eri-Ifeoluwasimi, Adeiwa, Inioluwa, Ademide, Adegbite, Diekoloreoluwa Ogunwusi Ojaja II. Pray to God to guide and keep him in fulfillment of his destiny.”

The king welcomed his first son and heir to the royal throne with his wife, Olori Silekunola on November 18th, 2020.

The monarch took to Instagram to share the exciting news with his followers. He also noted that his wife and son are hale and hearty.

The Ooni of Ife had only one biological child, who is in her 20s, before the arrival of his son with his third wife. The king’s first two marriages did not produce any children.
