The statement a South African lady made about her relationship on the microblogging platform X has sparked an outrage online.

The lady tweeted that she wants to settle down with someone like her current boyfriend but not her present boyfriend.

The statement which was quite confusing for the majority resulted in them throwing jabs at her while asking her to expatiate on what she meant.

The lady answered by tweeting that she wished God can transfer everything he has to another man, adding that she can’t settle with her current partner even though she likes him.

Her tweet read;

“I want to marry someone like my current boyfriend but not my current boyfriend. Everything that man is just transferred to another man. I hope that makes sense to you, God!! Kuthiwa I must settle I have one life. I’d rather be single than settle. To settle ya’ll question, he isn’t South African, I’d just love to settle down with a South African for an easier or convenient life. If it makes sense. He is not ugly, broke or married like some have tried to guess lol Ya’ll don’t know my relationship nor the dynamics. You find offense in me stating my preference, when the person I am dating doesn’t, the problem is you. Otherwise we make each other happy, go puke your guts out in borrowed anger and leave me.“

Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa has expressed her wish to become a mother as she sent an affectionate message to her goddaughter.

Popular Nigerian on-air personality, Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode professionally known as Do2dtun has stated during an interview session with “Gold Room With Iyabo Ojo” that he hasn’t seen his kids after his marriage crashed.

Speaking in the interview, the OAP emphasized that a stage will come when a child gets  to choose which parent they want to be with. He shared that children will never want a relationship with a penniless father; a father might be broke and still be chosen by his child.

The father of two girls mentioned that though he hasn’t seen his kids after the unpleasant divorce but has chosen to be mentally right and be the hardworking dad he has always been.

He also mentioned that he is fighting silently for his kids and they will grow up to eventually know the truth.

The OAP urged men to change the narrative on how they speak about their family and they should see him as an example.

“I still haven’t seen my kids till date and i just chose to be mentally right, I’ve chosen to be hardworking dad I have always been because I started to loose weight on the things I should be doing because i was trying to fight which is the right thing to do. Nollywood actress, Grace-Charis Bassey formerly known as Belinda Effah, has stated that she would never be able to share her man with another woman.

The Nollywood actress disclosed that she was raised in a polygamous household and that she is not interested in having a second or third wife.

She stated that while she has no issue with individuals being in polygamous partnerships, she does not support their values and personal convictions.

Bassey said; “My private life is not anybody’s business, but when it is time (for marriage), you will hear. I am a very private person, and I don’t put my life out there. People have been pressured into marriage, and they ended up regretting it; so I owe nobody any explanation regarding my life.

I am from a polygamous home, and it is not something I want to relive. Based on my experience, it is not something I look forward to. I don’t want to share the attention of my man with any other woman. I don’t criticise people who are married to polygamists; it is just that we all have our beliefs.”

The actress said that because she was picky about the productions she participated in, she had not been in as many films as she had previously.

She said; “I have been calm for a while, trying to be selective. I don’t want to be everywhere. However, I have an announcement to make soon about how I intend to be working. I sincerely apologise to my fans.

Popular Nollywood actor Timini Egbuson has declared that he is bigger than his colleague, Zubby Michael, in many ways.

A viral video showing laid down rules set by a keke napep rider for his passengers has left many Nigerians dumbfounded with a fine attached for violation of rules.

The video was captured by a female passenger identified as @abimbolaolami4 on TikTok, revealing the rules that must be adhere to by his passengers, saying she almost paid a fine.

The rules were boldly written and pasted on a waste bin visible enough for passengers sitting behind the rider.

According to the rules, the keke man warned the passengers against any form of physical contact with him and also added that passengers should notify him early when they intend to alight from the tricycle.

The keke rider also added that passengers should not raised their voice at him and imposed a fine of ₦500 for violations of rules.

The rules states,

A Nigerian man has shared via the microblogging platform X, how one of his friends discovered that all three of his kids aren’t his, after conducting a DNA test.

Heartbroken by the results of the DNA test, he decided to question his wife, but her response left him and everyone else in shock.

According to the wife, while the man was working too hard to fend for the family, she was having fun with someone else.

After disclosing this, she hung up the phone and has been avoiding phone calls from her husband, his family, and friends.

“A friend of mine got DNA results for all three of his kids yesterday. None of them are his. A 9-year-old, a 6-year-old and a 4-year-old. The man is completely broken. His wife’s response was that he worked too hard and she drops her phone. She has not responded to all our calls. Nigerian singer and music executive, Dammy has revealed how legendary musician Tuface’s, former manager, Efe Omorogbe, prevented him from receiving assistance from the label boss.

Nigerian comedian, Oghenekowhoyan Onaibe Desmond, popularly known as Destalker, has disclosed that he has made several attempts at suicide.

He revealed that he struggled with depression following his graduation from university and that his inability to find employment eventually led him to become an okada rider.

In a recent session of the Afrobeats Podcast, Destalker and UK-based presenter Adesope Olajide discussed his life story.

The stand-up comic claimed that his family’s problems and his failure to get a well-paying job or advance in his profession pushed him to despair.

He went on to say that although he had previously taken the decision to never work for anybody again, there were many obstacles in his way and he had difficulties.

Destalker also acknowledged that his colleague Ajebo helped him get his first significant break in the comedy business.

He said; “I graduated with a degree in Public Administration but couldn’t get a job. So I started doing okada [commercial motorcyclist]. But the truth is, I already had it on my mind that I don’t want to work for anybody. You must have a blueprint of what you want to become even though the country has its own blueprint waiting for you.

I was struggling. It wasn’t easy. There were a lot of distractions and it got to a point where I was suicidal. I attempted suicide three times. I think nobody has heard this part of me.

That was when I realised that even I can’t take my life. I now believed that when you’re suicidal, your miracle is close. The devil doesn’t just want you to attain it. The closer you are to your destiny, the difficult the challenges. That was my story.”

Destalker stated that FunnyBone had predicted that he wouldn’t survive more than six months in the comedy business.

Renowned Fuji singer, Remi Aluko has asserted that the Afrobeats icon, Wizkid improved and introduced a fresh look to the Nigerian music scene.

He clarified that the 33-year-old Grammy winner improved replay value and altered the music economy of the business.

Speaking in a talk on Echo Room, Aluko claimed that prior to Wizkid entering the music business, Nigerian songs were typically long, but he altered that by releasing shorter songs.

The Fuji star claimed that after witnessing how Wizkid’s recording technique enhanced song replay value, other musicians adopted a similar strategy.

He said;

“Wizkid did something in the Nigerian music industry. And I picked up from there. Back then, a song used to last for five or four minutes. But go and check now, Wizkid is the one that changed the method of music that you don’t need to waste music.

He changed the method of recording in Nigeria. He will bring chorus and after that he will just give you like 16 bars and after that he will go back to the chorus. If you love the music, you play it again.”

Nigerian singer Portable has expressed appreciation to popular rapper Olamide for his role in helping him succeed in the industry.

In a recent interview with the Afrobeat podcast, Portable stated that his distinctive style has helped him become known, and he highlighted Olamide’s crucial contribution to taking him from the streets to the top.

Portable sent a sincere statement in which he emphasized Olamide’s unwavering support and faith in his abilities, which propelled him to previously unheard-of heights in the music industry.

Portable reminisced about the times when he would play at gatherings for just N200.

He told Olamide how much he appreciated his sincere offer to sign and support him without any strings attached. Even though many doubted his ability, he commended the YBNL boss for providing him with opportunities.

In his words;

“If not for Olamide, I would’ve still been on the streets. I went to London and collaborated with the best rapper in the UK and it’s all thanks to Olamide. When nobody believed in me, you told me that I was gonna make it and I’ve made it bigger than I ever thought.

Olamide is a boss, he sponsored me without signing me and never asked for anything in return and that’s why I respect him so much. Some people use me to do bläck business but Olamide is the only guy in this industry who showed me love.

Olamide paved the way for me, he’s my boss and God used him to bless me. I’m from streets and I’ve been through a lot but I thank God for sending Olamide to me. I used to perform for N200 before Olamide helped me and he didn’t rip me like most people do in this industry.

Paving the way for someone doesn’t only mean inspiring them, but it involves making things easier for those who come after you and that’s exactly what Olamide has done for a lot of artistes.”

Popular Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has issued a friendly caution to commuters using the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.

Taking to her Instagram page, she warned against overspeeding on the bridge, especially with the recent reconstruction making the road smoother, to ensure safety.

The mother of one disclosed that she almost had an accident on the bridge, even though she was not driving at full speed.

Sadly, one of her friends was not so lucky as he lost his life on the bridge recently. The grieving actress further questioned if the reconstruction would be a blessing or a curse to Lagos residents.

Big Brother Naija star and businesswoman, Ka3na, has opened up about some of the challenges she faced in March 2024.

The mother of one revealed that her daughter fell ill and had to be hospitalized for treatment. She said the most challenging part was being in the hospital alone with her daughter, as a single mother who recently lost her husband.

Ka3na laments

She acknowledged that single motherhood is not easy and celebrated other women in similar situations as she marked International Women’s Day today, March 8.

Sharing a video of her daughter lying in bed in hospital, she wrote,

“March brought with it a plethora of temptations, but God stood by our side. The most challenging part was being in the hospital alone with my baby… single motherhood is a test even for the strongest. I want to celebrate every mother who is thriving through the tough times that often go unspoken. Happy International Women’s Day to all of us, the true boss queens!”

A Nigerian man has rebuked Tochi Wigwe, the eldest daughter of the late Access Bank CEO, Herbert Wigwe, for not standing to greet Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Taking to the microblogging platform X, the man shared a photo of Tochi seated while shaking hands with Shettima at an event held to honor her late father, mother Chizoba, and brother Chizzy, who tragically passed away in a helicopter crash.

The critic also posted photos of VP Shettima greeting former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and businessman Aliko Dangote, both of whom stood to greet him.

Comparing the photos, the critic criticized Tochi for seemingly disrespecting VP Shettima by sitting during the greeting, while men of higher status stood to greet him. He also asserted that she lacks home training.

Reactions trailed online after a mentally unstable man stopped a moving vehicle on the road then climbed the car bonnet and destroyed the wind screen with hard object.

In the viral clip, the man was captured crossing the busy road when he suddenly stopped in front of a moving car causing the car to stop on motion, which halt the movement of other transit on the road.

The man instantly ascended on the car creating a scene on the spot and proceeded to bashing the car wind screen with a sharp object vigorously.

Meanwhile, people present in the scene hurriedly came to the driver’s aid as they pulled the man off the car bonnet and physically attacked him with kicks and fists.

The video has generated different reactions from internet users causing them to troop to the comment section to share their thoughts and the action to take if they were the driver.

A Lady has shared via the microblogging platform X how her now ex-husband and friend were having an affair while she was fighting for her life with cancer.

The lady who stated that she’s glad she won, mentioned that her ex-husband and friend are no longer together now and have gone their separate ways.

Disclosing that she’s now in a better relationship with an amazing guy, she cut all ties with her friend after 8 years of keeping it calm.

Viral Nigerian woman, Debbie a.k.a. Mummy Zee, has warned a woman against helping her broke fiancé pay her bride price.

She advised against the idea when responding to the woman’s query about whether it’s appropriate for her to support her fiancé financially in this regard.

The woman, who has a well-paying job, shared that her fiancé is still financially struggling but is eager to marry her despite his situation.
