“We accidentally had s+x and I got pregnant” – Nigerian lady reacts after being called out for snatching her friend’s boyfriend

Nigerian lady reacts

A Nigerian woman, identified simply as Cici, has responded after her friend accused her of snatching her boyfriend and becoming pregnant with his child.

In the trending dispute on the microblogging platform X, the aggrieved friend with the handle @AkwaigboG called out Cici after discovering that she is getting married to her boyfriend.

She explained that she introduced Cici to her boyfriend when she came to spend some time with her in Port Harcourt for a job interview in September 2023.

However, after Cici returned to Lagos due to her failure to secure the job, their communication waned, and she noticed that Cici was intentionally avoiding her.

She said she received a rude shock recently when someone sent pictures from the introduction ceremony of Cici to their group chat, and she discovered that the groom is her boyfriend, Obinna.

Nigerian lady reacts

After all efforts to reach out to her ‘boyfriend’ and Cici to query them for betraying her proved futile, she decided to call Cici out online.

Read her full post below,

Interestingly, Cici has now responded to the accusation in a series of posts shared on Twitter. She admitted that she and Obinna got intimate when her friend was not at home, and she fell pregnant, leading to their ‘love story.’

She also chided her friend for claiming that she fed her during her stay in their home, stating that she was the one cooking and feeding her and her boyfriend. She also dared her friend to do her worst.

Read her response below,

“My junior sister saw your tweets on someone’s Facebook page and called to inform that am been dragged on social media.
You didn’t have to put it here without finding out the whole truth.
I have been feeling bad about the whole issue and trying to look for a better way to address this and appease you. But since you’ve taken it up to embarrass me on social media, I don’t owe you any explanation.

You are lying through your teeth about the issue. Have you told everyone that you weren’t performing the duties of a girlfriend? You don’t even know how to cook a proper meal. Talking about feeding me and all when I was the person doing all the cooking for you and Obinna.

We accidentally had sex one of the days you went to work and it eventually turned to a love story I can’t wipe off because of friendship. I got pregnant too. You can’t blame me for getting pregnant please. I avoided your calls when I returned to Lagos because of guilt.

Now you’ve posted it for the world to see I don’t care anymore. Do your worst.”

“Marriage is not an achievement, finding the right partner is” – Actress Mary Remmy Njoku shuns people trolling single ladies

Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Mary Remmy Njoku took to social media to shun married women disregarding single ladies on social media. She emphasizes that nobody wants to be alone but many are yet to find someone who gives them peace.

The actress via a written post on Instagram mentioned that marriage is not an achievement and finding the right partner is, people should be allowed to make good decisions when finding the right partner.

Mary Remmy Njoku

She stated that some couples claim to be happy because of societal expectations. Society tends to pressure single people into marriage, hence, they end up in abusive marriages.

The filmmaker referenced an anonymous woman, who is being abused domestically by her husband but still comes to social media to troll single ladies. She exclaimed that the people should focus on the economy and let the singles breathe.

She captioned the post;

“You wed a man who intimidates you during pregnancy with potential side chick, yet you audaciously mock single girls. Aunty, you have a resident problem.

You marry a man, who provides for everyone except you and your children. Aunty off mic! You are a single parent.

You marry ‘community man’ instead of ‘your man’ Sister! You are the Ring Bearer!!

We are all going through a lot or coming from a lot.
But when we see a single girl about 35, we abandon our prayer point and focus on her! 😉😉 Team ” I am happily married ” 🤣🤣🤣🤣

“I was loyal and genuine” – Groovy finally speaks on relationship with Beauty and Phyna

Big Brother Naija star, Groovy has finally addressed claims that he exploited relationships to advance in the show.

Recall that throughout his time in the BBNaija house, Groovy was involved in two relationships: the first with Beauty, who was eliminated in the second week, and the second with Phyna, the winner of the season.

Groovy claims that, in contrast to the story that some of his colleagues and fans have spread about him, he was genuinely kind, devoted, and true to himself when he was living in the house.

In an interview with Saturday Beats, he revealed this while stressing that it was incorrect for some of his ex-girlfriends’ fans to say that he tricked the women just because things didn’t work out.

Groovy said;

“I feel there has been a certain perception of me in the public as a result of the relationships I was in while in the house. All those talks about me not being genuine is something I want to clear up, because I actually stayed true to myself. I was caring and loyal. I did not try to deceive anybody. I believed I could win the show, without necessarily having to do any of that.

What is the essence of winning the show if I lost my mantle or damaged anybody in the process? I feel like some things work out and some things don’t work out. Saying that I am not a genuine person because everything did not work out is a wrong narrative about me. I am not what they said I am.”

The musician talked about his interactions with the other housemates during their reunion, describing it as a way for the others to blow off any unfinished business.

He said; “I feel like the reunion was a continuation of what we did in the house, and I actually saw it as an opportunity for people to bury the hatchet, and air out their grievances for one last time, and find mutual understanding.

“There were fun sides to it, and there were also fights. I felt everybody had different experiences. I went there and I said my truth, which is all I always say, because I am a genuine person. I say things as they are, and don’t try to cut corners.”

“Why I will ban the importation of human hair if I were President Tinubu” – Reno Omokri

Reno Omokri

Former presidential aide and activist, Reno Omokri, has revealed that he would ban the importation of human hair if he were the President of Nigeria.

He made this statement in a post on his Instagram page while addressing the consistent increase in the exchange rate as the Naira continues to depreciate.

According to Reno, Nigerians spend a lot on foreign products and import basic items instead of patronizing Nigerian-made products, causing the Naira to continually lose value.

Reno Omokri

He asserted that Nigeria imports a lot of human hairs and wigs, even more than books, which are paid for in foreign currency, thereby causing the government to shell out thousands of dollars.

To curb this, Reno stated that if he were the sitting president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, he would ban the importation of human hair to keep the money in the economy.

He also cited examples of Nigerians booking international flight companies and consuming foreign-made alcohol in clubs.

Read his full post below,

“The Naira is a reflection of the Nigerian. Look, the Central Bank of Nigeria just paid a billion dollars to foreign airlines. Those are airlines flying the same route as Air Peace. Do you know that if you and I, as Nigerians, had flown Air Peace instead of foreign airlines, that $1 billion would have stayed and circulated in Nigeria? And when dollars and pounds stay in Nigeria, the Naira rises in power. If they leave Nigeria, our Naira goes lower and lower.

The Central Bank had to cough up $200 million to pay for human hair, as if God did not give our women hair. This is hair that Indian, Bangladeshi, and Southeast Asian women cut and dedicate to their temples. They then barely process the hair and label them Brazilian, European and Peruvian hair, and our women rush to buy them, wear them, and shake the hair angrily to accuse Tinubu of ruining the economy. If I were Tinubu, I would ban the importation of human hair. Fact-check this, as a nation, Nigeria spends more on human hair than on books.

The Naira is now our collective responsibility. When you go to Quilox to spend #5 million on Moét, Louis XIIl Cognac, and Glenfiddich, then post your receipt on social media, you are putting downward pressure on the Naira.

Containers on the high seas coming to Nigeria with things we can produce in Nigeria are killing the Naira. There is no magic wand. If we don’t band together to stand together and buy made in Nigeria, the Naira will continue to go asunder!”

“I started my career as a Disc Jockey” – Singer Kcee

Popular Nigerian singer, Kingsley Okonkwo, popularly known as Kcee, has disclosed that he began his professional career as a DJ jockey.

He revealed that DJing was a family affair in an interview for the most recent episode of the Afrobeats Podcast.

The crooner of “Ojapiano” said that before changing jobs, both his father and brother, Emeka Okonkwo, alias E-Money, co-founder of Five Star Music, were disc jockeys.

He said;

“My father was a DJ, a record seller. I grew up in a home where my father sold records. So all the old-school artistes, I know them [their music]. I was selling their records when I was about 5 or 6 years old.
When I was in secondary school, I was already handling a full record store and playing at parties. I and E-Money were DJs. So, I listened to a lot of artistes.”

A while back, Kcee revealed that he earned more money from his joint gospel album with Okwesili Eze Group, titled ‘Cultural Praise,’ than he did from his entire secular music career.

The 44-year-old singer, from Anambra State, made this revelation during a recent interview with Cool FM in Lagos.

According to Kcee, the gospel album, which many had criticized, turned out to be his most streamed project to date.

“When I did the gospel [album] and many people were saying, ‘It’s over, he is actually going back to his village. Now he’s taking the music to the village.’

“That was horrible. When I heard that, I thought, ‘Okay, let’s see how it goes.’ And it didn’t turn out that way. I made more money from it [the gospel album] than ever before in my entire career,” he said.

“You are to supposed to be a virgin if not married. Except in cases of r@pe” – Nigerian man says

A Nigerian man on social media shared a written post stating the expectations and standards required of both genders before marriage.

According to his post on Facebook, he stated both genders are supposed to be virgins as long as they are not married. Hence, they should not engage in sexual intercourse; celibacy is the best option.

He noted an exception is only when one is a victim of rape whether a male or female; which involves sexual intercourse against the will of the victim through force.

The Facebook post has stirred a lot of controversy online. Internet users are questioning if the expectation is meant for a particular gender or both gender. Some have raised issues by asking if men are also victims of rape. Others opined the Nigerian man is delusional and concluded some set of women would find the post to be absurd.

ACP Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi has revealed via his page on the microblogging platform X, that most of the kidnapping cases we read online are either fake or staged.

He had said this during an interview session on Channels TV, stating that Kidnapping is not on the rise and Nigerians should ignore what they see online.

He wrote,

“You don’t need to give up. That is the reality. Most of the kidnapping cases we read online are not real. They are either staged and faked. We analyse security situations based on empirical facts and figures. We will have another forum or many other organized fora to discuss these concepts of kidnapping, abduction, one change, armed robbery, organised crimes, and arranged assassination. These are different concepts or crimes that we need to understand, and the psychology of the perpetrators. No sentiment, but realities. Open your mind to discussions and explanations of experts and security operatives for better understanding. Thanks.”

Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi, professionally known as Tems, has disclosed the riskiest action she has ever taken part in.

“The most dangerous thing I’ve ever done is jump out of a plane. I don’t even know how high but I went skydiving once. And I think for a second I was like, ‘Am I dying? I don’t know who sent me to do this. I don’t know why I decided to do this but here I am falling.’

My uncle convinced me and my cousins to jump. I was like, ‘Wow! So cool. Daredevil.’ And then we got into the plane and I was like I will just stay in the plane and they said I can’t. They pushed us out.”

“I stopped wearing exposing outfits after being mistaken for ru.ns girl” – Ashmusy

Nigerian content creator, Amarachi Amusi, better known as Ashmusy, has stated that she changed her image and ceased dressing in skimpy clothing after she was mistaken for a call girl.

Speaking in a podcast conversation with Phyna, the actress disclosed that people started to perceive her as a type of runs girl since she would often show off her body in her videos.

Ashmusy shares

Ashmusy went on to say that she had to take a step back and attempt to figure out why people thought that way about her. After watching her videos, she realised that it was due of her skimpy attire.

She said she didn’t realise her audience was thinking on anything else while she was amusing and making jokes.

In her words;

“Before I rebranded a few months ago, I used to wear sexy outfits. As a young girl, one would want to show one’s body. I did not know that I was being perceived as a prostitute. Meanwhile, I knew how much I was working behind the camera, running a business, and shooting adverts every day. With all of that, I was able to buy a car and house. It pained me when people insinuated that those things were bought for me by a man.

I was later in my quiet zone, thinking about why I was being judged that way, despite all my works that they people were seeing. I then started watching my videos, seeing that most times my body was exposed, with my nipples even showing. I was being goofy, but I did not know that people had been looking at something else. I have realised that if one wants to be seen as a prestigious woman, one has to dress accordingly. One cannot be showing (sensitive) parts of one’s body.”
