Indian Media Magnate Charged With Murdering His Step-Daughter.

India Media Magnate

Peter Mukerjea, former CEO of Rupert Murdoch’s Star India network, has been accused of conspiring to kill his wife’s daughter, Sheena Bora, in a case that has gripped the country.

He has also been charged with abduction, destruction of evidence and giving false information, an official with India’s Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) said.

His wife Indrani Mukerjea is accused along with her driver and ex-husband of strangling Bora to death before dumping her body in a forest and setting it alight.

Bora, 22, was Indrani’s daughter from a previous relationship.

She was murdered in April 2012 and her burnt body was discovered the following month in woods in the western state of Maharashtra, of which Mumbai is the capital.

British-born Peter Mukerjea was CEO of Fox-owned Star India from 1997 to 2007 before leaving to start his own television venture and is seen as one of India’s most successful media magnates.

Peter Mukerjea was believed to be out of the country on the day of the murder but the CBI alleges he was actively involved in the conspiracy.

Various motives have been put forward for the alleged crime, including a financial dispute over property dealings and a dislike of Bora’s relationship with Peter Mukerjea’s son, Rahul.

Ghana has followed in the footstep of Nigeria by placing an embargo on some items from entry into its domain, just as the latter had restricted 41 items from access to foreign exchange.

The Ghanaian Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr. Ekwow Spio-Garbrah stated on Tuesday, February 16, that Ghana and Nigeria are said to account for some 68 per cent of the ECOWAS region’s Gross Domestic Product, however, Ghana has placed a ban on some goods from being imported into Nigeria.

It was gathered that Nigeria accounts for almost 10 per cent of Ghana’s foreign trade volume, making Ghana the 9th largest trade partner to Nigeria

The Chief Executive Officer of Ghanaian Association of Ghana Industries stated that there should be a clear letter written to the Nigerians complaining about this, and then also try and use some diplomatic means to quickly resolve it,”

“If it does not work then we must also look at countervailing measures…it could be product targeting,” he said.

Kate Quartey-Papafio, CEO of Reroy Cables also said “If we also make it difficult for them to export, then we would have to find common ground.”

Despite the prohibition, Ghana still remains Nigeria’s largest trade partner and favourite investment hub in the West Africa sub-region.

However, Ghanaian traders have expressed lament that Nigerian laws are too strict towards importation into their country.

It would be recalled, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in a bid to quell the pressure on the Naira, banned over 40 items from accessing foreign exchange through the official window.

A heartfelt baby scan image of a dying twin holding his unborn sister’s hand inside the womb has emerged online.

Pregnant mother Brittani McIntire was overjoyed when she was told she was having twins but her elation turned to despair within weeks.

Brittani and husband Ian were told the boy twin would not survive as he has a hole in his heart and problems with his brain.

But a baby scan picture has given the parents an unexpected piece of comfort as it appears to show the unborn twins looking after each other in the womb.

Britanni, from Hutchinson, Kansas, told ABC6:

“We didn’t really see much, she said there’s his hand and there’s her hand and it looks like they’re holding hands.Most twins when she’s trying to take pictures and stuff, they’re kicking each other and hitting each other, and she said with our twins, it seems like she was very protective over him.

“It’s just nice with everything going on I know I’m holding him, I’m carrying him but I just want to be there for him and not knowing and she’s the only one who can actually be there and holding onto him through it, and so it’s comforting to know that if he does pass, he won’t be alone.”

The boy twin, who the parents have named Mason, is on the left and has appears to have his hand wrapped around the finger of his sister, Madilyn.

Dauntless rapper, Kanye West launched into an expletive-ridden rant just before he was due to appear on Saturday Night Live over the weekend.

A leaked audio clip obtained by Page Six shows that the rapper was furious after his set was altered at the last minute.

He lashed out at Taylor Swift and also said he’s more influential than Stanley Kubrick and Picasso and any other human being by 50 percent.

He said:

“Look at that s**t, they took my f**king stage off of SNL without asking. Now I’m bummed,”That and Taylor Swift — fake a**.“Now if I’m going to do this, we’re breaking the motherf**king internet.

I went through six years of this f**king s**t.“Let’s get to it, bro! “Are they f—–g crazy? Whoa by 50 percent [I am more influential than] Stanley Kubrick, Picasso, Apostle Paul, f—–g Picasso and Escobar. By 50 percent more influential than any other human being. Don’t f–k with me. Explaining what was behind the rapper’s rant, a source told Entertainment Tonight:

This is the seventh time Kanye West has appeared on SNL, they know he is very particular.

“The SNL lighting director/designer, on his own, decided to dismantle half of Kanye’s set because he didn’t like it. The set was dismantled in a way it couldn’t be put back together on time. Kanye found out 30 minutes before showtime that this had happened.”
“Kanye was very upset about the situation, and did threaten to walk off the show,” they added.

The Lagos Metropolitan Police have apprehended a 47 year old man, Femi Kolajolu, for allegedly raping and impregnating his 15-year-old niece (names withheld).

He had also attempted to rape his daughter last November.

According to Vanguard, Femi had allegedly been raping his niece since 2013 and instructed her not to inform anyone, including her mother.

The niece, a Junior Secondary School III student of a public school in Lagos, narrated her story:

“The first time it happened, I was sleeping. My uncle entered my room and forcefully slept with me. “The second time he did it, I was sleeping in my room with my younger sister.

He opened the gate, covered my mouth and slept with me. At that time, my mother was in hospital, ill.

“Last June, I realised I had missed my period but I did not know what caused it. It was after my mum took me to the hospital that we were told I was three-months pregnant. “I intend to sit for my Junior School Certificate Examination, JSCE, next month.

Since my father died last year, my uncle took everything he gave us. My mum was left with nothing to cater for the six of us.”

He’s guilty, says wife Femi’s wife, Ndidi, said that she was not surprised to hear that her husband was accused of rape, saying “he almost raped our first child last November.” According to her,

“he came around 3a.m., removed our 14-year-old daughter’s underwear and touched her breast. I woke up when my daughter screamed. We usually do not put off our light at bedtime, but at that moment it was off. “We all ran to the sitting room to see who came in. As our last child bent, she saw legs behind the curtain. When we removed the curtain, I saw my husband standing naked. “My daughter cried and rained curses on her father. When I told him I was going to report to the police, he said it will not take him five minutes to kill me. “In December 2015, he said I and his five children (all girls) should not visit him again because he has another woman who has given him a son. Since last December, I am just seeing my husband today (Tuesday). Even after he was summoned at the mediation centre, he did not respond.”

Suspect The 47-year-old businessman, Femi Kolajolu, said he did not know anything about the pregnancy and the alleged rape. His words:

“Even if my wife and I are at loggerheads, this is not the right way to solve it. I have never entered their room. “Why will I sleep with my niece or my own daughter?”

70 Year Old Widow Dragged To Court For Owing 20 Years House Rent.

A 70-year-old widow, Mrs Elizabeth Adeoni, was on Wednesday arraigned in an Osogbo customary court for owing rent arrears for 20 years.

Lateef Adegoke, the landlord of the widow, told the court that Adeoni had not been paying house rent since 1995. Adegoke, therefore, prayed the court to assist him to recover his money from the septuagenarian.

The landlord urged the court to order Adeoni to pay the rent and vacate the house.

He said that he needed the money to take care of certain financial obligations. In her response, Adeoni said life had been very difficult for her since her husband died many years ago, adding that things became worse when she lost her two children.

Adeoni, who wept in the court, pleaded with the court to beg the landlord not to eject her from the house because she had nowhere to go.

The President of the court, Ladipo Balogun, urged the woman not to lose hope and charged her to find something to do so as to be able to pay her rent.

Balogun then adjourned the case until March 15 for further hearing. (NAN)

M.I Abaga Unveils Full Tracklist For His ”Illegal Music 3” Mixtape

The current C.E.O of Chocolate City Music, M.I who had earlier announced the release of the mixtape “Illegal music 3“(The Grand Finale) on Instagram back in November 2015 and has already teased us with two singles off it including ‘Everything I see’ and ‘Phase 2,’ featuring Moti Cakes, which came with a music video, has unveiled the full tracklist for the highly anticipated mixtape.

It comprises 10 tracks with rather interesting titles but the ‘Phase 2’ track seems not to be among the 10 tracks on the list.

We can’t wait to get the feel of the remaining tracks, even as we also anticipate “The Young Denzel” second mixtape project slated to drop March 13th this year.

Last week, Kanye West came out on Twitter to declare a debt of $53 million, and called on Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to help him out and invest in his ideas.

In a series of tweets, Kanye had asked Zuckerberg for a billion dollars, telling him to call him and invest in Kanye West ideas.

“Mark Zuckerberg invest 1 billion dollars into Kanye West ideas …after realizing he is the greatest living artist and greatest artist of all time,” the iconic rapper wrote on his Twitter.

“Mark Zuckerberg I know it’s your bday but can you please call me by 2mrw… You love hip hop, you love my art… I am your favorite artist but you watch me barely breathe and still play my album in your house … World, please tweet, FaceTime, Facebook, instagram, whatever you gotta do to get Mark to support me…(sic)”

Many people had wondered why Kanye didn’t make his plea on Facebook, and a post by a former Facebook software engineer, Steven Grim read: “Dear Kanye West: If you’re going to ask the CEO of Facebook for a billion dollars, maybe don’t do it on Twitter.”

Zuckerberg didn’t respond with a statement, but he did appear to like the user’s status about Kanye’s ambitious bid. (See screenshot above) So we can say he also wasn’t too impressed with Kanye going through Twitter.

Kanye West Loses $10million in Sales Due To Pirated Copies of His Album

Kanye West took a huge financial hit due to the poor roll out of his new album The Life of Pablo. His latest work has been pirated and downloaded so many times since its release that the rapper has lost $10million in sales.

This all comes at a time when West has claimed he is $53million in debt.

The New York Post reports that if the 500,000 people who illegally downloaded the album in its frist day had paid the $20 it cost to buy the album West would have personally made $10million.

Kanye revealed on Monday that his album will never go on sale and will only ever be available on Tidal, the digital music service which is subscription based and owned by his friend Jay Z and other music artists.

‘My album will never never never be on Apple. And it will never be for sale… You can only get it on Tidal,’ wrote Kanye on Twitter.

Tidal costs $10 to $20 a month, with fans able to get their first month for free.

West may be able to make up that $10million he lost in album sales though, as fellow rapper The Game said he would give him that exact amount as an investment if he came to Dubai to skydive with him on Thursday.

West has yet to respond to this offer.

On Monday, West also expressed his anger towards Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, New York Times over their reception of his new album.

It was a bit surprising considering Pitchfork gave his album a very good 9/10 rating, Rolling Stone has given the work extensive coverage and the Times wrote in their review; ‘Now his rapping is sparser, more pointed, less imagistic and more emotional. And when he truly needs to be heard, he can corral a dream team of collaborators. He’s so fluent that he can use others to speak for him, and be understood clear as day.’

On that same night he also called Puff Daddy ‘the most important cultural figure in my life,’ said that white people ‘don’t understand what it means to be the great grandson of ex slaves’ and also noted that the ‘system is designed for colored people to fail and one of our only voices is music.’

Kanye’s rant came on the same night as the Grammys, where he was nominated for four awards including one for Best Album for his work producing the Weeknd’s Beauty Behind the Madness. He lost in all four of his categories.

Peter Okoye Reveals Cynthia Morgan is The Reason Behind The Feud

Recall the whole drama started when Peter Okoye took to Twitter to fire his older brother – Jude Okoye after accusing him of poorly managing the group. (Read Here)

Jude replied with calm, saying that Peter has been “through a lot” and only needed prayers, to which Paul fired back with a “You need God!”, and also refuted claims that the manager sold his first car to fund the twin’s first music video.

Last night, after much media drama, the other twin, Paul, brought a surprising twist. “You have family issues, you discuss that in close doors, not in social media,” he captioned a photo of him and Jude, “If you don’t do family business, then who am I to you?”

The twist upset Peter and he took to Twitter to reveal that the reason behind the family feud was reggae-dancehall singer Cynthia Morgan, who claims Jude stole from him.

Nollywood Actress and Singer, Tonto Dikeh is now a mother. The actress announced that she has given birth to her first child with her husband, Mr Churchill.

“I have witnessed the greatest miracle known to man,” the excited new mum said in a heartfelt Instagram post.

Months ago, the newlywed shared a photo of her baby bump, but she deleted the picture before fans could make sense of the post.

“I am overwhelmed, I am overjoyed,” Tonto wrote on Instagram. “I am a mother now.”

Mr Amaechina Alison Madueke, husband of Nigeria’s former Petroleum resources minister may have been arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday.

According to online newspaper, Sahara Reporters, insider sources within EFCC disclosed that Mr Madueke was arrested for alleged money laundering.

Mr Madueke was reportedly arrested Wednesday morning by EFCC agents in Abuja for illegally laundering more than $600,000 through his personal accounts.

One EFCC source indicated that Mr Madueke was released on administrative bail. The EFCC however seized his passport and placed him under caution.

This is the latest development in an ongoing global investigation into the financial activity of the former Minister of Petroleum Resources Diezani Maduke, who was arrested last year in London for financial crimes.

Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke who is reportedly battling cancer in London, United Kingdom, headed the petroleum industry in Nigeria at a time oil prices steadied at above $100 but barely reflected in the nation’s fortunes.

There have been series of corruption allegations linked to the period Diezani was in office and supervised by former President Goodluck Jonathan who many accuse of allowing corruption fester in the oil sector in an unprecedented fashion.

On Tuesday, a former group managing director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Austin Oniwon, told a legislative inquiry panel at the National Assembly that Diezani authorized crude oil swap worth $24bn without due process.

Another Olajumoke in the making? Lol.

Cecilia Kalinn, 24, a Swedish singer, songwriter and model was having a photoshoot in Jaipur, India, when two monkeys decided to get their freak on right in front of the cameras.

She shared the photos on her Instagram account with the caption: “no shame”. One of the monkeys jumped on the windowsill and tugged at Cecilia’s dress before its partner appeared and they got down to it.

Jesper Anhede, the professional photographer who captured the hilarious shots said he was lucky to get the pictures because monkeys are “quick lovers” and he wanted to get the perfect picture before the moment passed.

He says while the monkeys’ make out session was not aggressive, it was intense.

Yesterday, at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Oyo State, one Sakira Rasaq, gave birth to a set of quintuplets, 3 boys and 2 girls.

Her husband, Alfa Yusuf Rasaq, a Koranic teacher, said mother and children are doing great.

The couple had 2 children before the arrival of the 5 bundles of joy.
