‘I don’t like Sean Tizzle, and Here’s Why’ – Basketmouth
Arguably Nigeria’s Best Comedian, Basketmouth has explained why he does not like Difference Entertainment Artiste, Sean Tizzle.
When asked who his favorite Nigerian act was, he revealed his Best act and stated he doesn’t like Sean Tizzle.
The comedian also revealed what really transpired between himself and the ‘Sho le’ hit maker.
Basketmouth whose real names are Bright Okpocha disclosed he helped the singer with about three shows in December, 2014 but when he called him for a gig a few months after, Tizzle charged him a ridiculous amount of money.
He said, ‘I called on Sean Tizzle and he was charging me a certain amount of money, I didn’t know if it was him or his management that charged me, but I don’t care, I had to tell my team to blacklist his name on any of my shows’.
Basket also reminisced how he once called upon the services of Olamide who agreed to perform without any trouble,
‘I called on Olamide who’s even a more buzzing act, and he said I can pay him anything I feel like, and he didn’t even ask of his money until way after the show before I paid him’
The comedian also disclosed that Flavour, Wizkid and others will be performing at his upcoming show ‘Lord of the Ribs’.

Diamond Bank Staff Arrested After Allegedly Crediting Family’s Account With N111M. (Photo)
A Diamond Bank employee, identified as Obioha Okengwu, was on Thursday remanded at the Ikoyi Prisons for allegedly conspiring with his family to defraud the bank of N111.2 million.
He unlawfully credited huge sums of money into his family’s account instead of the bank’s accounts. News Agency of Nigeria reports that the accused committed the offences between April and August 2014 in Lagos.
Obioha committed the offences while working in the e-Business unit of the handling daily settlement entries of transactions done on Point of Sales (POS) and Automated Teller Machine (ATM).
“At different times, N37million and N41. 4 million was lodged into two accounts owned by one Uchenna Okengwu.
“The accused also credited the sum of N10 million into the account of one Rosamund Okengwu and N9.5 million paid into one Chukwuemeka Okengwu’s account.’’
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges. The case has been adjourned to Sept. 22.
Bukola Saraki Responds To Arrest Warrant | Read Statement.
In line with reports of the warrant of arrest issued against Senate President Bukola Saraki, he has replied the motive by the officials with a statement.

Following the development in the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) today, Friday, September 18, 2015 when the Tribunal chose to ignore the subsisting order of a Federal High Court by sitting, we hereby state our position as follows:
1. While the Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, had stated and maintains that he is ready to submit himself to due process of the law on any issue concerning him, he also believes he has an inalienable right to resort to the same judiciary for protection when he feels his fundamental rights are about to be infringed upon.
2. It is for this reason that Dr. Saraki, having satisfied himself that the case filed by the CCB and the manner in which the case was filed show that he will not be given justice, resorted to the Federal High Court for the determination of the issues of competence of the prosecutor as well as compliance with the procedure stipulated in the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act.
3. The Federal High Court on Thursday, September 17, 2015, therefore ordered that the all parties in the case should appear before it on Monday, September 21, 2015. The implication of this ruling by a Court of competent jurisdiction is that the sitting today has been overtaken by event. It is for this reason that Dr. Saraki chose to go about with his normal official schedule.
4. Today at the Tribunal, Counsel to the Senate President, Mr. M. A. Mahmud (SAN), raised a motion stating that there is a pending constitutional matter before the Federal High Court to be decided on Monday and that the Tribunal should hold the trial until the constitutional matter is disposed of.
5. We are however dismayed that the Tribunal chose to disregard the order of the Federal High Court and the motion to suspend hearing till Monday when all parties are expected to argue their positions on the constitutional matter.
6. It is also a surprise to us that despite the application by the lead counsel to the Senate President that he will produce Dr. Saraki on Monday and the personality of the person involved as the Number three man in the country, the Tribunal insisted on issuing a warrant of arrest as if its intention is simply to embarrass Dr. Saraki. We are not unmindful of the fact that the Tribunal is acting under political influence and external pressure. This is dangerous to our democracy.
7. The conduct of the Tribunal today left nobody in doubt that it cannot do justice on the matter before it. It is also clear that today’s decision is an abuse of the rule of law which portends danger to our judicial system. The Tribunal has equally set a bad precedent in the way and manner it conducted itself during the proceedings.
8. We want to emphasise the fact that this is not part of any war against corruption but using state institutions to fight political opponents and seeking to achieve through the back door what some people cannot get through democratic process.
9. We need to caution here that in a desperate bid to settle political scores and nail imaginary enemies, we should not destroy our democratic institutions and heat the polity for selfish reasons. Let us all learn from history.
9. The Senate President is a law abiding citizen who will not do anything to undermine the judicial process and authority. However, Dr. Saraki will always act to protect his fundamental human rights.

Pasuma Reacts After Redeemed Church Pastor Is Disciplined For Inviting Him To Perform.
Popular Fuji star, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma has reportedly reacted to the suspension of a Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastor, Toyin Ogundipe who was alleged to have paid him to perform at a crusade slated to hold in one of the parishes in Lagos Island.
The Fuji star declared that, in spite of the church’s management paying for the show, it is never done to expect him to pay back the “artiste fee” saying, “the fault is not ours, we were ready to perform for them until we learnt of the cancelation of the crusade”.
City People reports that, the Pastor in charge of Province 20 of the Redeemed Church had invited Pasuma to perform at the Church’s forthcoming crusade titled, “Lagos Island Family Areas Forum” between Friday, October 23rd – Sunday 25th, 2015.
Pasuma’s picture appeared on the handbill advert and posters alongside gospel singer, Tope Alabi and a former band leader of the late Fela Anikulapo’s Egypt 80 band, Kereke Jike.
The decision to stop the programme was because the church headquarters felt the Pastor had gone too far by inviting a secular artiste such as Pasuma to its church programme.
A source who spoke on condition of anonymity said the organisers did not do a detailed consultation before going ahead with the programme.
He also said that it was as a result of it that the programme was cancelled and the Pastor in charge of the church along with the organising committee suspended as they now await further sanction from the provisional headquarters for dragging the name of the church in the mud.
investigations by City People reveal that The Redeemed Christian Church of God clearly frowns at the use of secular musicians, a development which has been clearly stated in its handbook to Pastors.
Nedu Of Wazobia FM Hints That His Accounts Have Been Hacked.
Popular On Air Personality, Nedu of the 95.1 Wazobia Fm, a radio station that is loved by so many Nigerians, has hinted that most of his accounts have been manipulated by hackers.
He says his e-mail, whatsapp, Facebook accounts have reportedly been compromised, so his fans should ignore any message coming from those accounts while he sort things out.

Following the report of the court granting a warrant for the Senate President’s arrest, the Inspector General of Police has vowed that without delay, he’d arrest Bukola Saraki.

This actually, is the worst you could ever do a blind person and it really isn’t fair at all. Classic foreign singer, Stevie Wonder’s late attorney, ho also happens to be his right-hand man for decades allegedly duped him into penning his signature to a contract he never saw.
The contract makes the singer pay the lawyer’s family forever as long as he lives.
TMZ reports, Stevie just filed legal docs, in which he says his longtime lawyer, Johanan Vigoda, put a contract in front of Stevie’s face when he was 21 years old. The deal was, Stevie would pay Johanan 6% of all music royalties. But there’s a clause that says payments to the lawyer’s family go on “forever.”
Johanan died in 2011, but Stevie’s record company continued to pay Johanan’s widow. Stevie says he didn’t realize payments were being made for nearly 2 years, and when he caught wind, he ordered payments to be stopped. He claims he trusted Johanan and the lawyer never said the 6% would survive his death.
Stevie says in his docs he was betrayed by a man he trusted and wants a judge to declare he no longer has a duty to pay royalties, because the attorney took advantage of a blind man. Johanan’s widow has filed her own lawsuit, demanding Stevie pay from the time he stopped and forever in the future. She wants $7 mil minimum.

Court Orders Bukola Saraki’s Arrest As EFCC Declares His Firm MD Wanted.
In conjunction with the Senate President’s refusal to appear before the Code of Conduct Tribunal, Justice Danladi Umar of the Code of Conduct Tribunal has ordered that a bench warrant should be issued on Dr. Bukola Saraki.
The Senator is expected to reportedly answer charges bordering on assets declaration. Security agencies have been ordered to effect his arrest by Monday!
Meanwhile, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC have in light of this, declared wanted the man managing Senate President Bukola Saraki’s property company, Mr. Kennedy Izuagbe, for alleged N3.6bn money laundering.
The man in person is reportedly on the run for his life. Some allegations contained in the suit filed at the CCT against Saraki includes:
- alleged failure to declare property on Plot 2A, Glover Road, Ikoyi, Lagos; failure to declare property on No. 1, Tagus Street, Maitama, Abuja (Plot 2482, Cadastral Zone A06, Abuja) and failure to declare property No.3, Tagus Street, Maitama, Abuja (Plot 2481, Cadastral Properties Limited).
- Claiming to own property on No 42 Gerard Road, Ikoyi and earning N110, 000,000.00 per annum at a time the said property was under construction
- failure to declare N375m GTB loan converted to 1.5m Pound Sterling and used to purchase property in London
- operating a foreign bank account; transfer of $3.4m from GTB to foreign bank account during his tenure as governor and failure to declare leasehold interest in No. 42, Remi Fani-Kayode Street, Ikeja.

A man was left with no choice than to spend his night on the ledge of a seven storeys building after his lover’s husband came home unannounced.
People’s Daily Online tells the story; they reveal that the married woman’s lover was stuck between two air-conditioning units all night, during the bizarre incident in China.
It wasn’t until the unnamed woman’s husband went out to work the next day that she called firemen and asked for them to rescue him.
A local fire brigade spokesman said:
“Fortunately he had already dressed himself and was about to leave when the woman’s husband came home, and she had managed to persuade him to scramble out the window.”

At first, the man claimed he could not remember how he got out onto the narrow ledge, but police eventually got the story from the woman.

“He had apparently been drinking a fair amount, and that probably gave him the courage to jump onto the ledge, but by the morning he realised it would be extremely foolish to attempt to climb back [into the flat].”

Nigerian Dancehall Act, Timaya was involved in a Ghastly Car Accident yesterday September 17th, 2015.
The ‘Hallelujah‘ singer bashed his White Bentley but thankfully he was unhurt. Timaya who has two children shared a photo of his bashed Bentley on Instagram today, September 18, ’15.

In Kenya: Mother Burns 14-year-old Daughter’s Private Parts For Wasting Maize Flour
A woman in Kenya in on the run for allegedly burning her 14 year old daughter for wasting maize Flour, News24 Reports.
The woman, simply identified as Pelesia Saoke from Furfal village is said to have tied the victim’s hands, flogged her and then poured about a litre of kerosene on her before setting her on fire.
Likuyani OCPD Meshack Kiptum (Pictured above) confirmed the incident and said the victim was rescued by neighbors who responded in time and saved her before informing the police who took her to Kitale Hospital.
“The-14-year old girl is undergoing treatment as her private parts were burnt and she needs counselling. The mother has gone into hiding but police are surveying the area and she will be arrested soon with cooperation from the public,” Kiptum said.
The officer urged parents to avoid imposing such inhumane punishment on their children but look for other means of punishment.
The victim’s brother, Bonventure Okoth said her mother came back home around 6 pm in the evening and found her elder sister frying the maize flour when she burnt her.
“My mother tied my elder sister’s hands, beat her before she soaked her with paraffin and burnt her before she went into hiding. She said she was punishing my sister for misusing flour,” Okoth said.
Neighbours say this is not the first incidence as the woman is fond of beating up her children and threaten to set them ablaze.

In reality, she was pregnant by a lover and hid his baby boy, named ‘Jack’, right up to the birth. For nine months, she meticulously planned a home delivery, got scissors and towels ready, and worked out where to abandon the baby near her home in Horden, County Durham.
As she went into labour, she did some housework, put her six-year-old to bed then delivered in the bathroom, with her teenage daughter on a night out with friends, and Simon working night-shift.
Sneaking out of the neat modern terrace at the dead of night, she returned within minutes, later booking a ‘dream’ trip to Disney World in Florida for her family, then going to work.
Wrapping the tiny newborn in a dressing gown, she placed him on the doorstep of a flat close to a medical centre, with a note saying:
“Please take care of my baby boy. Please don’t go public as my husband is violent and will kill me.”
She also knocked on a door in a bid to alert a nearby neighbour.The child was found cold, but otherwise unharmed between four and five hours later by a man walking his dog.
The mum-of-three admitted abandoning a child. She said she had an affair and she believed the baby was the result of that affair.
“She was unable to tell her husband because she was fearful of breaking up the family unit.
“This is a very sad case, she is of previous good character and was in a desperate situation which led to the offence occurring.”
